Worth the visit! Not only is Dinosaur Coffee a super cute setting to spend some time catching up with a friend or getting some work done, but it also has an interesting menu and super tasty coffee. I went with an iced oat latte and found it super tasty. My sister is not a coffee drinker and we were happy to find several drink options on the menu for her. She ended up getting a Matcharita, which is a non-alcoholic matcha homemade margarita mix drink that is not milk based. It was super unique and refreshing with a super earthy matcha flavor but also a strong citrus note. We also got a cookie to share which we thought was average. read more

I really enjoyed my visit to this cafe. The cafe has a lot of seating space where you can post up with a laptop or a book. There are tables in the front and back of the cafe along with an outdoor patio area in their parking lot behind the building. I've come here twice now just because I'm rarely in that part of town. I think they have a great brew and worth a stop. I much rather enjoy the coffee inside the shop rather than outside. I say that because the first time I came here, there was quite a scene with a transient who was screaming and walking right in front of everyone. Mind you, this is a place where many come to be on their laptop to work or do school work. It was hard for me and my friends to have a conversation but we made due. The second time around I was able to enjoy a cappuccino inside at the counter. My friend had their coconut cacao cold brew on ice and she said it was pretty good. Great hole in the wall coffee shop with easy to find street parking. The coffee shops layout is kinda weird as their little kitchen takes up most of the shop space. Its smack dab in the middle of the room like an open kitchen, but they use shelves to coverup a large portion of it. When I went in, there was 5 people behind the counter. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $4.75 got me a rather small specialty Cardamon Cinnamon Cappuccino, which was definitely a bit on the pricey side with other larger items pretty easily exceeding $5.00. This place is super cute! I've tried to see if their drinks and I've never been disappointed.

I swooped into a metered parking spot immediately and knew it was going to be a good day. I walked over to Dinosaur Coffee and admired their wooden menu hanging from the ceiling. They also had some specials and teas listed on a paper menu on the counter, where you order. I ended up getting the iced cardamom-cinnamon latte w/ oat milk, which is an in-house syrup that they make! Yummy. I've had other renditions of cardamom in coffee and this one was just as fab. There were people hanging out, studying, and waiting to take their drinks to-go. Some of the tables had this built-in plant center that was pretty cute. Made me want to look into it for my future dining room table, lol. Overall, cute space and good coffee! read more

Dinosaur Coffee is home to a younger crowd. I envy these millennials with so much free time. Not to start another trendy inter-generational spat, but don't they work? Yet here I am next to them tapping away at the standing table. Maybe they're in school or have figured out how to work from home. These coffee sippers are bundled, for the first time this year, in colorful scarves and water resistant jackets. Band stickers and anime characters decorate the laptops and ipad shells. The demeanor is light and optimistic. Parking is a bitch. Cars cram the sidewalks. Several drivers cruise the adjacent streets hoping to find an empty spot. read more

Cute coffee shop and very spacious. I dropped in for a cold brew on my way to the gym after doing my yelp search for a coffee shop. Very good cold brew. The guy at the front counter was very friendly and I was in and out super quick. It was just before closing so the crowd was light. Modern, with lots of sun coming through which makes it much more inviting. Not sure on the parking. I belive it's just street. It's next door to the McDonals, just in case you have trouble finding it. I'll have to come back and have my coffee there for the full experience. read more

I've always seen posts about this place and I thought the name was adorable. I finally was able to give it a try while I was in the area. Staff was very friendly. Even though it was a bit crowded it wasn't unpleasant at all. I didn't have to wait very long for my drink as well. My friends and I all got an iced latte. It was very refreshing and really good. Location: It is on Sunset Blvd. There are some small streets near it where one can find parking. I did not have an issue (as typically it is in many Sunset Blvd. coffee shops). The People: The barista was nice, the majority of the people come here to study/work, although of course people go to hang out, etc. The Drinks: The Native Cultivar Mi Xiang tea is delicious (I enjoyed it both when it was hot and when it got cold). I recommend it. Food: I did not buy any pastries but they surely looked good. Work/Study: They have several areas to get work done. One can work in a table or booth. Both are nice spots to do work on. The Venue: Instagram friendly location. It is a pretty quiet place to study. There is some moderate noise at times but not enough to get distracted once the caffeine hits one and one is "in the zone." Extras: They have some games, I think (I saw a chess board). Upshot: Great spot to study/work. Surprisingly easy to find parking around this area. Worth the visit for some tea and a productive study/work session. I've been wanting to check out Dinosaur coffee for some time. This place is hipster with a side of cute dinosaur themed everything! It's located in the Silver Lake area of LA which is an up and coming area. There's tons of little coffee shops rolling into this area to get you wired up on caffeine for days. I came here on a Thursday afternoon and this place was pretty busy considering the time and day. There must have been around 25 people sitting around and drinking coffee while I was here. The first thing I noticed was the clean set up of the menu followed by the little merchandise on the walls of the coffee shop. After taking in my initial thoughts, I was simply impressed at how clean and minimalistic the barista area was. They literally have one espresso machine and two coffee grinders. Impressive! There's no walls to hide anything at all. You have a clear view of everything that the baristas are doing. // DRINKS // Cold brew: I'm a HUGE fan of cold brews. I typically love the flavors that you get from it. However, I was slightly disappointed with Dinosaur coffees cold brew. I typically love my coffee black, but I had to put a splash of cream in it to make the flavor a little more appealing. Iced latte: Your basic latte... I wasn't a huge fan of this as they use a different milk and I'm just not used to it. Overall, I wasn't impressed with their coffee, but it's definitely a chill place to come with friends or have a coffee date. Took a trip from Culver City to try the coffee. Due to Rona the inside was closed so you have to place your order at the door. The gentleman at the door seemed bothered to help us and forgot our food order. The reason why I'm giving 4 stars. Coffee on the other hand was delicious. A good spot to meet with friends or a date but maybe not the best for school or work. The music and decorations made for a great atmosphere. They played lots of alternative and indie rock that I love. The Wifi worked fine, I didn't have any issues with it. It was difficult to find an outlet to keep my laptop charged. It was really busy during my visit and I almost felt like I was fighting to get a good seat with enough space to work and keep my electronics running. The chai here is much more like a traditional chai blend then the Starbucks chai lattes I'm used to. They taste good, but they aren't very sweet. The hot chai was definitely better than the iced. The donuts are really good but but pricey at $4 for a small non gourmet donut. The staff were really friendly and cracked a lot of jokes with each other and with customers. read more

Dinosaur has a great design and minimalist atmosphere with clean white and birch wood designs. The coffee was good as well. Where the cafe inexplicably drops in quality is the amenities. I got "No we don't have that" repeatedly for cafe staples. First, I ordered a chocolate croissant warmed. REPLY: We don't have anything to warm pastries. Second, I go to pay with Apple Pay on their iPad cashier terminal. REPLY: We don't have Apple pay. Third, I sit down and get my laptop out to do some work. I ask for the wifi. REPLY: We don't have WiFi. Sorry Simply adding a small oven and WiFi would make this place a great spot but I can't give a coffee shop a great rating if they fail to have basic amenities that even some taco trucks have. I was really psyched to try this place on a recent visit to LA. However, I was disappointed with the lack of food options and I had one of their monthly drink specials which tasted syrupy. The staff was really nice but didn't seemed phased when we mentioned that we had seen a dead rat right by the front door.
