Had lunch around the area and decided to find a coffee place somewhat near by, and this place popped up on my Yelp search. Dinosaur Coffee? That sounds pretty cool? Maybe some dinosaur decor of some sort? Maybeeee real dinosaurs serving up coffee? All the thoughts running into my head haha... Parking: right in front, all street parking... if you are an LA driver, you basically have to parallel park like lightning speed before a car zooms through and honks at you to "hurry up" in their speed. We get inside the cafe, right off the bat it was a pretty spacious open concept. Can see the little touches of dinosaur merch that they had surrounding the store front and walls. Ended up getting cold brew, which I mean... for the most part it should be a no fail on making, it was good and strong. The perfect pick me up for the drive back home. An adorable cafe with strong coffee game. The combination of natural wood, white walls, and miniature dinosaurs create a warming ambiance for a Sunday afternoon. My oat latte was just right, where the oat milk doesn't overpower the coffee, and the crispy croissant added another round of applause. I love it when cafes serve a well-baked croissants! The good: Twas indeed Dinomite! I was pleasantly surprised when my friend showed up with treats from Dino Coffee during a recent visit. I was able to try the miso pastry, matcha donut, berry almond croissant and a few other pastries. The pastries were really high quality. They tasted like artisanal pastries rather than generic soft ones you buy from the grocery store (I've seen some coffee shops stock their pastry section with Costco pastries before). They were flaky, fresh, buttery, and delectable. The bad: I didn't get a chance to try their coffee. The matcha donut was dense. The interesting: I've never had a sweet miso pastry before! This is the first place I've seen that has this. My Japanese au pair had also never heard of such a thing. read more

Ordered Cardi c latte with oat milk hot. Lately I've been having some overpriced coffees that to me wasn't worth the $7 or $8. This drink however was perfectly executed. The cinnamon wasn't too overpowering. The oat milk was delicious. Don't know whether it's house made oat milk. And the temperature of the drink was just right. A 16oz drip at 4.75 is pushes slight against the logic and reason manner but, it's 2023. I ended up getting the flash (iced coffee) and it was solid. Nothing that blew my mind but as a simpleton from East of Downtown I ain't complaining. My wife liked her drink as well which is a big plus. And...my coffee went down well with the bagel I got at Maury's. One of the best coffee shops in the area! I love that the coffee doesn't taste burnt or too dark. I'm not the biggest coffee drinker, but it felt just right for me. I enjoyed a simple latte with oat milk. I ordered my friends their americano and both of them enjoyed it as well! I love supporting a local coffee shop. It's cute and a perfect fit for Los Feliz. They make the drinks quickly and I would love to enjoy a day off in this shop. It's close to other shops as well if you want to explore the area. They also carry cute items in the back! Solid coffee joint on Sunset with parallel parking right in the front. The spots in front were for food pick-up with a 10 min limit- def made it easy just to pop in. My bf and I needed a pick me up and appreciated the store hrs to 6 pm. I got a cold brew with vanilla syrup and my bf got an oat-milk latte. It did the job and we really enjoyed it. Do not spend your money here. I live right by Dinosaur Coffee so I often work at their coffee shop. Every time I visit I am hopeful that my coffee drink will be yummy, and I think it has been at least 4 times in a row that I order a drink and the espresso is completely burnt tasting. The first time this happened I thought maybe it was just a one time thing, but after 3 more visits, it is evident that the baristas are not trained in dialing in espresso at all. As a barista, your job is to make the espresso beans taste amazing! Pulling a proper shot of espresso is the final step in the long process it takes for that coffee to end up in the mouth of a customer. It's honestly so sad and disappointing that time and time again this place cannot pull a proper espresso. I have given them so many chances again, and again, since I live so close by... I WANT to love the drinks here, but today was the last straw for me, and probably the last coffee I buy from this place unless they decide to retrain their baristas. As someone who has worked in the coffee industry since 2018, I have learned time and time again what an espresso shot should taste like, and this place needs a retrain ASAP. I ordered an iced Americano, you could literally taste the burnt grounds. Today I ordered an iced latte, and had one sip and literally could not drink it. It was a huge waste of money, but mostly just a disappointment in the small joy that it is having a coffee in the morning. This place needs some management ASAP. I love the decoration and the dinosaur theme, but I wish I could say the same about their drinks. I got their matcha latte, and it is probably one of the worst matcha lattes I've had in LA. I could not taste the matcha at all, and I basically paid $6 for a glass of milk :( I didn't try their coffee, so I can't say much about it but I would definitely skip on their matcha. If you're looking for cute dino themed items (cups, mugs, etc.) this would be worth stopping by to shop and that's about it. read more

I got the expresso tonic and it was DELICIOUS. The place is decently sized, but seems to usually be pretty packed so be ready to possibly not find seating. The Wi-Fi seemed to be an issue for other people as well as myself. The Wi-Fi wouldn't connect for me or my friend. Someone next to us said he had to go next to router in the back to connect but it still didn't work for us. When I asked the barista she told me there was nothing she could do. A cool spot with lots of cool merch for sale. Unfortunately, the coffee was underwhelming. We ordered two iced lattes with oat milk, one with added vanilla flavor. We waited 3-4 minutes for our drinks and also got a reusable bag along with a cool ceramic mug. Our drinks were both very watery / milky and tasted like they barely had a single shot of espresso in them. I hate to be so cruel, but they honestly tasted like a McCafe Iced Coffee as opposed to a speciality coffee shops iced latte. Ok So ...lets the start with the service Service was great! The barista was very helpful and plugged a number of pastries as I inquired about something sweet. I came later in the afternoon so I didn't expect much but I got a cookie and it was ok. It was moist, but it wasn't too tasty The chai that I got was this new almond pistachio chai that the barista recommended- but it' wasn't good at all. I'm not sure if it was the chai or the way it was made because it tasted watery and the foam was not foaming! I didn't even finish it The decor was cool and I would have liked to see the ambiance when it's not raining. I finally made it out to this coffee shop. I've been eyeing this place for a long time, in hopes that one day I'd be able to work from here. I had a long day in LA full of events and seminars, so I made sure to make this my spot where I'd prop up and get some work done for the day. I love that they have 3 flavors of the gluten free doughnuts available (devils food, matcha and strawberry) which allows me to rotate if I choose to. I have had the matcha and the devils food before- I absolutely love. The strawberry I've never tried. Looks good, but I like those other flavors better, so one day. I had my usual matcha almond milk latte and it was as good as it needed to be. The hipster dinosaur, that was too cool to believe in meteors. As many of you will learn, most coffee shops in LA are all 'rawr' and no 'chomp'. Much like the famous Stegosaurus, a massive creature, with the brain the size of a walnut; Dinosaur Coffee is a beautiful cafe with great ambiance and warm colors. That is until you realize its a just a cold bitter, ice age. You would think with the amount of effort I'm using to write dinosaur quips that the cafe would have the same amount of effort into the dinosaur theme, well... that would be a "big bang". Okay I'll stop. Dinosaur Coffee was a disappointment. There is the occasional dinosaur toy you can see on the table or, even on your mug, but that doesn't help with the ugly truth: a velociraptor, with razor sharp teeth, drooling at the counter could be staring down the baristas, and they still wouldn't pay attention. I have never experienced the "hipster" niche of individuals that are mean, or look down on you for not being hipster enough? I don't know. The service was rude, looked down on us. Didn't tell us our order was ready. We asked for recommendations, gave us one word answers. Weren't helpful. I wanted to return the glassware, but didn't know where and the barista made me feel stupid and made me drop off it in the box that was hidden under a shelf. I don't expect a cafe to "spare no expense" and make people feel good and welcomed, but if the McDonalds next door is giving me better service... maybe this cafe should go through the next stage of evolution.... and fly away. oh and the coffee was mid. read more

Hmm coffee was.. Sweet baby Jo -- basically latte with condensed milk. It was sweet but rather than being impressed with the taste (and therefore worth it), it was just eh. I like sweet things but I wasn't compelled to finish it and was more worried bout the sugar. Coconut cacao cold brew -- my friend had this but it was dark, bitter and strong. Cool little coffe spot in LA. Coffee was good and at least they serve the Doppio correctly with sparkling water. The area is not the best, I was here at 11.40am on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy and with its limited seating sometimes finding a place to sit could be challenging, but after waiting my coffee to be made a table outside did free up. From the front, there is no sign so unless you using GPS or know the coffee shop is there it could be challenging to find. Latte and doppio were good. Service was friendly. read more

After our brunch at the Kitchen - we made our way to get some coffee. Dinosaur coffee was right around the corner. It was so cute inside! The fun theme wasn't overly gaudy and had a table with little dinosaur toys. I thought the flavors they offered were standard and got the iced cinnamon cardamom cappuccino. It wasn't overly sweet and the cardamom wasn't over powering. The coffee itself cost around 7 dollars for the milk alternative and the tip. I guess that's just the way it is now-a-days!
