I love Fast Eddie's! It's less than a block from my apartment and is my go-to for wine, ice cream (they have an entire freezer dedicated to ice cream now!), and tacos. They make their own Mexican food to order and it is all delicious, especially the shrimp tacos and green salsa! You can bring your dog right into the store when you pick up your food, and often they'll give him or her a doggie treat. Such nice staff! read more

It's a corner liquor store; it doesn't look like much when you walk in, but everyone local goes for the tacos. The burritos are big and tasty; the mullitas are great for kids or a quick snack, but my reason for going are the street tacos. I've never left this liquor store, whether it was to buy something at the liquor store or tacos, have I left unhappy. Today, was pretty disappointing. I look forward to eating their tacos. Usually, theres a lady named Fabiola, or before it was a guy. Today there were two other ladies I've never seen. I ordered a burrito and some tacos. The burrito had so much rice, and hardly any meat. Way too much rice. Aside from the burrito being really bad. I asked for limes for my entire order (burrito, and several tacos). I asked for limes and salsa to only get half a small lime. And one small salsa. Not only was this experience really bad but also that they think they have gotten popular enough to raise the prices on a their entire menu. Tacos being $1.75? There are so many places, so much competition just down the street. places going for much cheaper and taste better. If your going to raise prices, you must be consistent in the quality of food. There is no better place than eddie's market! The owners genuinely care about their customers, they know what you want before you get up to the counter. It's so much more than just a convenience store! The relationship the owners make with the customers makes it feel like family. BUT as for the food...OUTSTANDING! The worse service I have ever recieved. A 2 hour wait for cold food and an incorrect order. No utensils and really bad food. Mc Donalds has better burgers than they do and I hate Mc Donalds!! Okay I'm usually not supercritical. And I have ordered from Eddie's Market (Long Beach California) in the past. Some things good, some things not so much but the good outweighed the bad so far until tonight. I ordered the low-carb double cheeseburger. The last time I wore this it came cold so I heated it up in the oven and it tasted good so this time I expressed in my notes to make sure my food was hot. It arrives in what I thought was a reasonable time, the guy was friendly as always, it's always the same guy. He apologize that my food came cold the last time. I take out the bag and the double cheeseburger has no cheese. I'm not tripping. Stuff happens. I go on chat with Eat 24 & tell them the problem. They asked me to hold on. I'm anticipating, "okay Mr. Wilson they'll be on their way with the new burger. They I apologize for the issue." But alas sadly no. The representative comes back and tells me that they want me to email them a picture of the burger to show that it had no cheese. I'm starving to death but... You heard it right. They wanted me to prove that I was telling the truth. I have been a loyal customer and have tipped every time but I have to prove there's no cheese on the burger. Ridiculous. I told Eat 24 to forget it and I would never order from that restaurant again and I will tell everybody read the yelp reviews. $20 minimum order for delivery. I received a door hanger advertisement that states $10 minimum order for delivery. I called in an order for $12, he told me that they have a $20 as of a few weeks ago because it wasn't "worth driving across long beach for $10". $20 minimum seems high for a pizza spot. It may be worth it to set delivery boundaries so that they don't lose good business in their local neighborhood. For example, deliver within redondo, 7th, and los alamitos at a lower minimum. read more

Ordered the Family Special which consists of 2 Lg 1 topping pizzas with a side, I ordered the rib tips. Pizza was yummy, rib tips not so much - EXTREMELY TOUGH! Also ordered Spaghetti & Meatballs.....pasta was cooked perfectly but the sauce (mainly crushed tomatoes, not alot of flavor) & meatballs tasted a little wierd. Can't quite put my finger on it. Eddie's has produce way beyond pull date. Went for some eggs today and they expired on the 1st. Terrible, It is Dec. 14th. Two weeks beyond pull date. The bread has also been old. I was happy at first for the market to come into the neighborhood, but now it is a brown bag, weed smoking nightmare with people peeing on the street on Wisconsin. Not only are craft beer prices way over priced, but the store has a weird 99 cents store thing going on with products that have been sitting on the shelf for years. Cut the crap. First of all, the manager that took my phone call tried to argue with me about the coupon I was holding in my hand and tried to say it was pick up only when it said delivery. We were told our pizza and wings would arrive in 25 minutes, which was great because my boyfriend had to leave for work in an hour and a half. After 50 minutes, our pizza and wings finally arrived. The wings were so disgusting they left the wrong parts of the skin on the meatless chicken wings. So disturbing. Secondly, our pizza was wrong. After calling to ask for the correct pizza, we're were told we had to give back the wrong pizza, which i agreed to, but later thought about what they would do with it... and they probably put it back in the oven to re-sell. Disgusting! I was then told our correct pizza would arrive in 10 minutes. After 35 minutes, our new pizza came in a size too small! My boyfriend had to scarf down the pizza and leave right away. Prices were great, the quality was good but the service was TERRIBLE. We chose this place for our daughter's birthday party and were promised a 45 minute delivery time frame. When we called back (over 90 minutes later) to check on our delivery, we were berated by the employee and told "we're busy" and "this is not Domino's". We could understand thier frustration if this had been a busy weekend night , but this was a Thursday and our order was pretty basic (2 large one topping pizzas.) At first I loved Eddie's, the pizza and sandwiches are barely edible but I live super close by and it's nice to have a conveniently located place for beer, cigarettes and cheetos just steps away. But then one of the workers started making strange, stalkerish comments about wanting to follow me home to "keep me safe" and "stashing beer in your side lot because my coworker doesn't want his wife to know he drinks." I have no idea what that second one meant, but I'm debating calling the police because the fact that this guy knows where I live and would come onto my property is terrifying. It's a shame, but I'm going to have to stop going to Eddie's, my once convenient local convenience store has gotten downright creepy. If you are a single female, take caution about letting the employees know anything about your personal life. There are a few mellow guys that work there and one very sweet young woman, but the thought that this one employee would follow me home or go into my yard greatly outweighs any convenience this store once offered.
