This was my first visit to First Watch and I truly enjoyed my breakfast experience. It was a relaxing atmosphere for a nice breakfast with my wife. The decor is inviting and makes you feel like you are at home. The food was prepared perfectly and I like that they bring you a pot of coffee so I didn't feel like I had to flag the waitress down when I needed more. I like that they offer a seasonal menu because that means there will always be new things to try. We didn't feel rushed by the staff and it was nice to linger over breakfast and talk. Great food for lunch or breakfast. The parking is a real problem. So we don't bother anymore. After 10am when the businesses around FW open you can go round and round the building without ever finding a space. No overflow parking except next door at the Urgent Care and I can't in good conscience take one of the spaces for people in need. The only other option is parking at Krogers across the street and then taking your life in your hands crossing Broadway by foot. No thank you. Too bad because we really like that place. read more

Food is good. Service is shit. I've been here a dozen times int the 5 or so years they've been open. It's been a nightmare every time. Tip: Never order Togo. I've eaten here at different locations at least a handful of times. The food has always been great and just enough on the portion sizes. However, today I ordered Togo at the N. Broadway location I had a few modifications that were completely skipped over. I ordered by phone and picked up she repeated everything back to me just how I had said it. When I checked my food at pick up nothing was correct and I had to wait an addition 20 min at the store for my food to be made correctly. In all an order of 2 separate breakfast items took almost an hour and one thing my boyfriend was quite upset about is ordering his eggs scrambled hard (the only way he will eat eggs) they didn't even mix the eggs before cooking then the white and yellow were separated. That we have never had a problem with at other locations. I must say I'm very disappointed over all and will probably not come back to this location. read more

We stopped on our way through to Pigeon Forge for a late breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of food options and they favor turkey and chicken substitute meats as well as cafe free eggs. They were very accommodating when my son had ordered their chocolate chip pancake and thought it was too much chocolate chips, (I thought it was perfect!) /9 they replaced it with French toast at no extra cost. Decided to drop by this restaurant for an unexpected brunch today with my husband and 2 kids. They were packed wall to wall. There were also people waiting at the doorway and outside. But sometimes your order gets messed up which is not necessarily great but they can always improve but when it happens multiple times you start to worry. Like my experience here. The first Time we stopped at Knoxville we decided to stop at first watch and get breakfast my eggs were runny so I had them send it back. The second time we came to Knoxville my eggs were way too hard more like hard-boiled eggs. The servers were very kind about it and gave us a refund. Horrible customer service. I placed a pickup order for the next available time they had available since they were experiencing high volumes of business. I understand as I work in the food industry as well, however when I arrived there was zero parking. Several other cars were circling around just waiting until a spot opened up. I was having no luck, so I decided to call if they could assist me with curbside pickup. The employee told me they didn't offer curbside so I asked for a refund. He told me that was a manager issue and hung up on me. I called again to ask for manager assistance and am still waiting on a update. I thought the food was very mediocre but if it hadn't been obviously just thrown together in such a haphazard fashion and skimping on the ingredients then our breakfast had the potential to be much better. My wife and I ordered the omelet with choriza, onions, cheese, avocado, etc and the pancakes with a canoli cream lemon pastry topping. We thought the omelet was overcooked as were the pancakes. The pancake topping was tasty and refreshing even creative but there just wasn't enough of it. The omelette was also overcooked. Again the flavors of the chorizo and other ingredients tasty but just not enough of it. My wife and I split each dish so because the toppings and interior ingredients were minimal each of us actually totally missed some of the more important ingredients. Well maybe because this was a busy weekend morning things came out of the kitchen in an inferior manner? Maybe we need to try again on a less busy weekday? I do think that fountain city folks are in the trying out new restaurant phase but they're a little more picky conservative traditional and probably more careful with their money than the Bearden or Farragut crowd. Just not sure that a mediocre $11.00 omelet is going to pull them away from the cracker barrel or some of the other breakfast staple places in north Knoxville... read more
