There was like a 30-40 min wait after our reservation time. It was an extremely busy Saturday night. However the wait staff were kind and helpful. We got the Brazilian experience and tried the sea bass entree, I do not recommend the sea bass. It was not flavorful and it was like $30 that came with 6 bland asparagus pieces. this might be my new favorite restaurant. the fruit was deliciously sweet and fresh. i would recommend the papaya. the servers came around with different meats, it was nice tasting them all and getting a sample of everything. i never had an empty plate, the staff was extremely attentive. the restaurant itself is gorgeous. the lighting is perfect and the decor inside is elegant. overall, unique restaurant idea that i have not experienced before, but brilliant. read more

It's been awhile since I've written a review, but this is definitely worthy of a review. I had high expectations coming into this restaurant. Heard lots of good ravings coming from friends who visited their other neighboring locations. From the first moment I came into the restaurant, the hostess didn't even acknowledge us. She greeted other guests who came after us first. Thought that was a bit off. Service was great overall other than the entrance incident. Salad bar was decent. A lot of different options. They even had omelette or waffles station for brunch. The staff there are so nice with young kids. Main complaint: all of the meat that was offered were all well done. They don't have different doneness options like other Brazilian Steak houses. We only eat Medium-Rare and eating all of the dried, hard, more than well-done meat of every cut was such a disappointment. It was a nice environment but for the meat alone...I don't see myself wanting to come back. I barely ate any meat, and I felt like I wasted so much money and left hungry. Definitely not worth the trip. Try other locations if you do. I also witnessed little girl touching something in the plate at the salad bar at Fogo the mom was like "wait. I get it" she scoop out with the buffet spoon and the girl touch and ate off the spoon and the mom put the spoon back. Cringe. read more

I brought my daughter for her birthday to the Plano location. We have always in the past gone to the Dallas one. What a disappointment. We all agreed that the food was overcooked and not as enjoyable. We were stuck by a window in the corner, and the service couldn't get to us very easily since they had some large parties. We ordered some desserts in which my daughter ordered her favorite creme brulee. Burned on top, tasted like charcoal, and couldn't finish it. My granddaughter ordered the chocolate cake, it was a little dry & crumbly and ended up eating the ice cream only. I think we had the expectations that it would be the same experience we've always had in the past, and it clearly wasn't. We won't be back. Not when you spend that kind of money on something so disappointing. read more

The food was honestly pretty incredible. We were overly impressed with every item that we had, but the service for our party was very bad. Albeit, we had a party of 12 and we sat near the back of the restaurant, but the service was lackluster. Food items didn't come around much and we asked for side dishes that literally never came. The bar was so backed up that it took 20-30 mins to get a drink. One of my friends asked for bottom sirloin 4-5 times and it took 45 minutes for him to get it. I understand that we came on a Saturday evening with a large party, but to not have meats and sides consistently brought to our table ruined the experience for most of us. I think we would come back but with a much smaller party. Not sure this place can accommodate large groups like they say they can on their website. Disappointed. Let me say off first off , the servers were very friendly (with the exception of the hostess) and the atmosphere was nice. Now, on to the food; In a nutshell, it was ok. The meat was rather bland and the Brazilian sausage was so dry it was almost humorous. I'm used to going to TdB but friends have raved over FdC so I thought I'd give it a try. Can't go wrong with Fogo. Wife and I enjoyed a variety of steaks, as well as salami, candied bacon, watermelon, pineapple, roasted cauliflower, mushrooms, asparagus, and cheese from the bar. The service was so great it was my first time there I was served by Moe he was are server I was there on Sunday December 3rd for my 21st birthday with my family and friends we enjoyed it. The food was great the wine was amazing as well I love meat and everything was perfectly cooked the sides were ok I do wish they had a better selection when it came to the sides but it was a 10/10. We always love Fogo but during our recent visit, it was very busy and seemed under staffed. At times, it felt like our table was forgotten but thankfully Andrew came to the rescue! He was so attentive and assured we got any cut of meat we were wanting. When one cut we had already asked for didn't come after several minutes, he went straight to the kitchen and got it himself. I love this location of Fogo de chao I've probably been here a good 5-6 times since it's opened. The staff here is PHENOMENAL! Extremely accommodating, friendly and will always have answer to your questions. Not only that they will go out of there way to make sure you're having the best experience possible. I remember how one time I was waiting for them to make the rounds with the warm cheese, someone came over and immediately sent out someone to get the cheese. But this is just an example of the staffs efficiency. As usually I think the food tastes great! I love the variety of meats they have to offer, the salad bar options, and the drinks they serve. My favorite dish by far has been this warmed up cheese served with honey, I could eat a 100 servings of that I loved it that much. This time round I loved the pork selections that they had, it was so flavorful and not at all chewy. One con is that I always feel like their lamb is over cooked, it's like a workout to the piece of meat, that's how chewy and dry it tastes. But aside from that no complaints. Will I be back? Of course, I try to come here for every season to try out their seasonal items. My next goal is to come during lunch, looks delicious! read more

Went out to enjoy a nice brunch with the ladies. Placed our drink order with Steve whom had informed us that he was our waiter. Went to the market table where they have a variety of fresh cheeses, fruits, salad and an you can get freshly made omelettes and waffles. The nice lady making the omelettes was magnificent, so helpful and kind. Our drinks were served (not by Steve). We kept looking for Steve due to us wanting to order another drink but Steve never came back to our table. Informed management that our waiter had disappeared. The staff at Fogo went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Seemed as if every manager on duty and about 6 waiters in that section continued to make sure that all of our needs were met. While Steve failed us as a waiter, the other staff gets 10 stars for the suburb customer service and making sure that the remainder of our time there was spent enjoying our meal vs us trying to hunt down a waiter that seemed to have disappeared into thin air. read more

Phenomenal fogo location, Plano. Chase, Aline, and staff were attentive and friendly. Food at this location was excellent quality as usual.

Do we have to give at least one star? We went on Saturday night and the restaurant was understandably busy. Reservation for 7:30, arrived at 7:20, seated at 7:50. Asked if we had been helped and a drink order taken at 8:10. Informed we could go to salad bar, drinks arrived with 4 cheese rolls at 8:20. Finally at 8:29 a gentleman came by and asked if we wished the full experience. My husband said yes, waiter explained the process and as I was finishing my salad, he took my husband's salad plate and returned with a new plate. We never saw either waiter again. Another waiter refilled my husband's water but not my tea or water. We were served exactly 4 slices of 4 different beef cuts, 1 bacon wrapped chicken and a leg. That constituted our TOTAL full experience. Never were we offered sides, additional cheese rolls, a wine list, etc. despite turning the cardboard disk green, the gaucho's walked by our table numerous times on the other side of the table for 2 beside us. We were seated directly at the end of the salad bar which turns out to be the table to ignore. Finally at 9:10, a man in a lighter blue shirt with a tie asked if we needed something. We stated, "We'll take our check!" He tossed the booklet on the table and walked away about 5-10 minutes later. He did not return for the booklet so, I carried over to the cash register in the corner by the wine wall and a 5 top table full of young men enjoying themselves. A waitress walked up cornering me between the wine wall, cash register and 5 top table; telling me, "excuse me!" As if I had somewhere else to go and move out of her way! As we were discussing our departure, a waiter walked up and asked if we wanted dessert? We had not even eaten dinner at that point, but left. We know there is service available, because we observed servers helping other guests around the room, but our table did not seem to be in their paths. At 70+ years old, this was the absolute worst dining experience we have ever been through. Neither one of us has any desire to ever return for such an ordeal. Management has huge problems I. All cuts of meat were generously seasoned, flavorful, and the servers knew where to cut to deliver whatever cooking style was ordered. Once this was a great place to go with good service, nice atmosphere and a delicious experience. Not so much anymore. The last few times we've gone they've been under staffed and the meat quality has gone down, Atleast the ones they finally brought over. This time around was by far the worst experience. We were put in a corner near the bar and front door and for the most part forgot about. We weren't given all our utensils and had to ask for them. All the servers with different cuts of meat avoided our area and not just our table but the tables around us too. See if you're in the main area there's all sorts of cuts of meat that are brought around which is kinda the whole point of going the Brazilian steak house. We had to ask a few times for different cuts we could see being served from a distance and finally they brought us one we asked for. Which the server that brought it was condescending when stating that we had asked for the filet mignon and kind of scoffed. Not really sure why. We ended up just filling up on the salad bar which kinda felt like that's what they wanted. Servers would just walk by our tables and go to the private rooms and ignore the entire area. Which was maybe about 3-4 tables. It was actually pretty comical. Our server was nice but we had to consistently ask for them to send over the different meats and they just never came. It's almost like our area was avoided even more after we asked and we asked very nicely. They just kept sending over the same two cuts. We eventually gave up and asked for the check after an hour and a half of being there. Great bread though and the pineapple lemonade is really good. If you go make sure they seat you in the main dining area so that you can get what you are paying for. Also get there early if you want to get all the neat salad bar items (since that might be all you get) because they take a long time to refill and the place gets busy quickly. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! We were a group of 16 and the service was very good. However, we waited for the food for good 45 minutes after they served the sides and our salads. Once they started bringing the meats, they brought the same chicken legs 3 times. We requested picanha several times and during the entire night, they brought it only once, AND was not enough for everyone in the table, we kept waiting and never came again. They kept bringing the same items over and over and over again. This place is very expensive and absolutely NOT WORTH IT at all!!!!! This restaurant has become fame and famous name only, but completely worthless. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! read more

Given that this restaurant was buffet style when we went, you can't really expect the meats to be incredibly well cooked. For the price of the buffet, I would recommend a normal steak restaurant if you are not feeling up to a buffet. Some cuts of meet were incredibly tough and hard to chew. I would arguably say that their chicken is cooked better than their beef cuts. Although the food wasn't amazing, the service was pretty decent. Although we had to ask for some things multiple times before a server brought it to us, the restaurant was incredibly busy. What really stood out to me at the restaurant wasn't even the meat. My first visit was pretty great! My sisters frequent this place so they're well known. Today was my first time going for brunch, which they talked about being the best. I had high hopes. First things first, no one came to take our drink orders for a little while so we decided to go get our first plates. The young lady making the omelettes looked like she did not want to be there. I was also a little worried about her hair being all over the place. My sister didn't care for the crepes and they didn't have the waffles she was excited about. I loved the potatoes, but only got a spoonful as they were out and weren't replaced for quite sometime. The famous bacon was wanted by everyone, but again was out for a significant amount of time. The meats didn't come by as often so I had to keep asking. The sides also arrived pretty late. I really wasn't feeling like I got my money's worth!! Fortunately, but unfortunately...a couple nearby decided to leave because they were dissatisfied and gave us their gift cards and said they would never be back! Thank goodness for this, because I was going to be really upset about paying $43 for hardly anything. I would possibly give them another try, but maybe not for brunch. read more

We miss Rafain's. We were there for Father's Day celebration and this was the WORST service I have ever had at ANY restaurant. We had a reservation for our large group and had to wait more than 30 minutes in crowded waiting area. Our 88 yr old father had to wait outside in the heat. The hostess then just points to table, no one seated us. There was wet floor near our table and several in our group slipped and nearly fell. Wait staff ignored our table and asked if we were done when we were still waiting for gauchos to bring meat over. Waters and sides were never refilled and after asking and waiting we decided to give up. Very disappointing experience!!! read more

Is zero stars an option? We went for Father's Day dinner and the service was awful. What is the point of a reservation if you still have to wait 40 minutes for a table? They had no control of the waiting area as at least 30 people were waiting inside and outside of the building for their tables. Once our table was ready, not even one of the gazillion hostesses could walk us to it. Instead they just pointed towards the back without even giving us the QR code for the menu. Once we sat down, the sun was blinding me. I asked our waiter if he could close the curtain to block the sun and he rudely said "it's going to get dark". We opted to go for the "full experience" but our experience was anything but. The staff were not very observant and the entire restaurant felt hectic. It took all our waters to be empty for the waiter to come refill them. Our waiter brought 2 small sides of mashed potatoes and plantains/yuca fries for ELEVEN people to share! And when we asked for more sides they were never brought. It seemed like our table would be ignored by the gauchos every time they were near us even though our table of 11 all had our cards flipped to the green side. When we did get meats, they were either extremely rare or so over cooked we couldn't even cut it. Not worth the money we spent and definitely will not be going back again. Mo and Leo were amazing service and a great time. The food came fast and was delicious.

We had a large party for graduation, they put us at a table in a back corner that was very difficult to maneuver around but it was a Friday night, so we understood. The service was horrible, waiter acted as if we were inconveniencing him by being there, we spoke to management two times before service was better. In the end, they did what they could do to remedy our poor experience but we spent quite a chunk of change there and after this experience, we won't be returning.
