They said that people have been called into work dispite being under quarantine due to COVID because more than half of the staff is out with COVID. I find the idea that they would be willing to be a transmission hot spot because they don't want to shut down or send sick workers home for profits appalling. It obviously is biting them in the but because half of their staff has it now, but I would caution against eating there as a professional in biology. Stopped in for lunch yesterday with two old friends. FOOD: I think everyone knows that Fogo is a treat; however, we "just" wanted a salad. We had the $15 salad bar and the selection was outstanding! I had lots of vegetables, smoked salmon and the Brazilian beans and rice. The table also had the Brazilian bites cheese bread, fried polenta and mashed potatoes. This really was a treat! The food was honestly pretty incredible. We were overly impressed with every item that we had, but the service for our party was very bad. Albeit, we had a party of 12 and we sat near the back of the restaurant, but the service was lackluster. Food items didn't come around much and we asked for side dishes that literally never came. The bar was so backed up that it took 20-30 mins to get a drink. One of my friends asked for bottom sirloin 4-5 times and it took 45 minutes for him to get it. I understand that we came on a Saturday evening with a large party, but to not have meats and sides consistently brought to our table ruined the experience for most of us. I think we would come back but with a much smaller party. Not sure this place can accommodate large groups like they say they can on their website. One of the drinks was incorrect, and our son finally received his drink at the same time as our check. It took forever to get drink refills and clean plates. The sides were cold by the time we received clean plates for the meat. They brought us 4 rolls and one scoop of potatoes for 6 people. I think we saw our actual server twice. Thank goodness there were other servers we could flag down. The meat was not cooked correctly and they were very fatty and bad cuts of meat. We usually love Fogo, but I'm not sure we will be back after this experience. What a waste of time and money. read more

Came here to celebrate son's birthday a couple of weeks ago (mid-September). No reservation but were seated in about 5-10 mins. First thing I noticed was the dining area smelled musty and foul (imagine a dirty wet rag left overnight or flooded carpetting). It was a big turn off. Food was meh - not a whole lot of appetizing selections at the salad bar - cheese slices looked old, recycled, and wet, and that awful smell was lingering. It's been awhile since I've written a review, but this is definitely worthy of a review. I had high expectations coming into this restaurant. Heard lots of good ravings coming from friends who visited their other neighboring locations. From the first moment I came into the restaurant, the hostess didn't even acknowledge us. She greeted other guests who came after us first. Thought that was a bit off. Service was great overall other than the entrance incident. Salad bar was decent. A lot of different options. They even had omelette or waffles station for brunch. The staff there are so nice with young kids. Main complaint: all of the meat that was offered were all well done. They don't have different doneness options like other Brazilian Steak houses. We only eat Medium-Rare and eating all of the dried, hard, more than well-done meat of every cut was such a disappointment. It was a nice environment but for the meat alone...I don't see myself wanting to come back. I barely ate any meat, and I felt like I wasted so much money and left hungry. Definitely not worth the trip. Try other locations if you do. I also witnessed little girl touching something in the plate at the salad bar at Fogo the mom was like "wait. I get it" she scoop out with the buffet spoon and the girl touch and ate off the spoon and the mom put the spoon back. Cringe. read more

Do we have to give at least one star? We went on Saturday night and the restaurant was understandably busy. Reservation for 7:30, arrived at 7:20, seated at 7:50. Asked if we had been helped and a drink order taken at 8:10. Informed we could go to salad bar, drinks arrived with 4 cheese rolls at 8:20. Finally at 8:29 a gentleman came by and asked if we wished the full experience. My husband said yes, waiter explained the process and as I was finishing my salad, he took my husband's salad plate and returned with a new plate. We never saw either waiter again. Another waiter refilled my husband's water but not my tea or water. We were served exactly 4 slices of 4 different beef cuts, 1 bacon wrapped chicken and a leg. That constituted our TOTAL full experience. Never were we offered sides, additional cheese rolls, a wine list, etc. despite turning the cardboard disk green, the gaucho's walked by our table numerous times on the other side of the table for 2 beside us. We were seated directly at the end of the salad bar which turns out to be the table to ignore. Finally at 9:10, a man in a lighter blue shirt with a tie asked if we needed something. We stated, "We'll take our check!" He tossed the booklet on the table and walked away about 5-10 minutes later. He did not return for the booklet so, I carried over to the cash register in the corner by the wine wall and a 5 top table full of young men enjoying themselves. A waitress walked up cornering me between the wine wall, cash register and 5 top table; telling me, "excuse me!" As if I had somewhere else to go and move out of her way! As we were discussing our departure, a waiter walked up and asked if we wanted dessert? We had not even eaten dinner at that point, but left. We know there is service available, because we observed servers helping other guests around the room, but our table did not seem to be in their paths. The last few times we've gone they've been under staffed and the meat quality has gone down, Atleast the ones they finally brought over. This time around was by far the worst experience. We were put in a corner near the bar and front door and for the most part forgot about. We weren't given all our utensils and had to ask for them. All the servers with different cuts of meat avoided our area and not just our table but the tables around us too. See if you're in the main area there's all sorts of cuts of meat that are brought around which is kinda the whole point of going the Brazilian steak house. We had to ask a few times for different cuts we could see being served from a distance and finally they brought us one we asked for. Which the server that brought it was condescending when stating that we had asked for the filet mignon and kind of scoffed. Not really sure why. We ended up just filling up on the salad bar which kinda felt like that's what they wanted. Servers would just walk by our tables and go to the private rooms and ignore the entire area. Which was maybe about 3-4 tables. It was actually pretty comical. Our server was nice but we had to consistently ask for them to send over the different meats and they just never came. It's almost like our area was avoided even more after we asked and we asked very nicely. They just kept sending over the same two cuts. We eventually gave up and asked for the check after an hour and a half of being there. Great bread though and the pineapple lemonade is really good. If you go make sure they seat you in the main dining area so that you can get what you are paying for. Also get there early if you want to get all the neat salad bar items (since that might be all you get) because they take a long time to refill and the place gets busy quickly. read more

I love this location of Fogo de chao I've probably been here a good 5-6 times since it's opened. The staff here is PHENOMENAL! Extremely accommodating, friendly and will always have answer to your questions. Not only that they will go out of there way to make sure you're having the best experience possible. I remember how one time I was waiting for them to make the rounds with the warm cheese, someone came over and immediately sent out someone to get the cheese. But this is just an example of the staffs efficiency. As usually I think the food tastes great! I love the variety of meats they have to offer, the salad bar options, and the drinks they serve. My favorite dish by far has been this warmed up cheese served with honey, I could eat a 100 servings of that I loved it that much. This time round I loved the pork selections that they had, it was so flavorful and not at all chewy. One con is that I always feel like their lamb is over cooked, it's like a workout to the piece of meat, that's how chewy and dry it tastes. But aside from that no complaints. Will I be back? Of course, I try to come here for every season to try out their seasonal items. My next goal is to come during lunch, looks delicious! read more

Went out to enjoy a nice brunch with the ladies. Placed our drink order with Steve whom had informed us that he was our waiter. Went to the market table where they have a variety of fresh cheeses, fruits, salad and an you can get freshly made omelettes and waffles. The nice lady making the omelettes was magnificent, so helpful and kind. Our drinks were served (not by Steve). We kept looking for Steve due to us wanting to order another drink but Steve never came back to our table. Informed management that our waiter had disappeared. The staff at Fogo went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Seemed as if every manager on duty and about 6 waiters in that section continued to make sure that all of our needs were met. While Steve failed us as a waiter, the other staff gets 10 stars for the suburb customer service and making sure that the remainder of our time there was spent enjoying our meal vs us trying to hunt down a waiter that seemed to have disappeared into thin air. read more

We had a large party for graduation, they put us at a table in a back corner that was very difficult to maneuver around but it was a Friday night, so we understood. The service was horrible, waiter acted as if we were inconveniencing him by being there, we spoke to management two times before service was better. In the end, they did what they could do to remedy our poor experience but we spent quite a chunk of change there and after this experience, we won't be returning. Great quality cuts of meat with lots of flavor and sauces if you need a little extra something. The chimichurri was 10/10. There are also a ton of options at the market table, which was filled with various grilled vegetables, fruits, salads, and other options. There were also a couple soups. Service was great and the waitstaff was very attentive. My only complaint was that we had an 8:45 reservation and were not seated until 9:15. Granted, we did have a large party and had to wait until everyone arrived to be seated. But still had about a 20 minute wait after everyone arrived. AVOID LEGACY WEST Location. Also, calling the Corporate Office does nothing. We've logged 15 phone calls and have had no one call us back. On 09/29/2023 we had a reservation for 5 at 7:30pm and were seated shortly after that time in a corner location concealed by a table set for close to a party of 20. After being seated for nearly 15 minutes, a server finally came over and took our drink order which consisted of 5 waters and one Dr. Pepper. It took him close to ten minutes to return with our drinks(currently 25 minutes for just drinks since we sat down). We received our cheese bread before we received our drinks from the same server. He then disappeared for nearly 10 more minutes before returning to ask which experience we wanted. Four of us in our party opted for the $39 experience. Total time for drinks, bread, and our orders 35 minutes - at this point, my confidence in this dinner being remotely acceptable was diminishing very fast. Our table got up to pick items from the salad bar and soup station. I both got the black bean soup, thinking it would be nice and hot. It was not. It was almost as cold as if I had pulled it out of my fridge at home. The mushrooms and zucchini both had no flavor which is what I usually get at the Addison Fogo location. The other members in our party got other assorted items from the salad bar and sat down again. As we began eating our non-meat items, we started to wonder why our section was not getting any meat service. The servers walking the location were not passing beyond the 20 top sitting in front of us and honestly, if we had a signal flare, we might have been able to flag them down. Let's now say we've been at our table for nearly 45 minutes, but have no tongs or small plates for the meat to be placed on. We flagged down a meat server and asked him for tongs and small plates to which he responded "ok" then never returned. Our server came by to refill our waters and refilled 4 out of 5, the 5th being my son's water, which was nearly empty. We advised our server that we were missing small plates and tongs which he then turned to the server station behind him, opened a drawer, pulled out a single pair of tongs then walked away. We are nearly an hour into our dinner service and my wife asks for a manager. Vinicius is the Manager who responds to the request. My wife explains everything that has occurred to this point in our dining experience, which has been written above. Vinicius gets the ball rolling and gets us our small meat plates, tongs, and refills. Meat starts flowing our direction and we are starting to think it might turn the experience around, but it doesn't. Our server still cannot seem to understand the concept of refilling water glasses as he would refill 2-3 at the table, still have water in the carafe, but can't manage to fill glasses. My friend and I both get the bacon wrapped chicken. It was very dry and the bacon was not just crispy, but more like a protective shell around the chicken. Once I was able to get passed the shell and choke down the dry chicken, I had enough. The manager came over a second time and we informed him that we had no sides (the mashed potatoes, plantains, etc, that are served at the Addison location. We are then told that this location is a test location and that sides would be brought over. The sides that were delivered were whole potatoes and sauteed mushrooms - neither of which had any flavor. Vinicius, hearing that our troubles with the experience had not stopped, returned to inform us that he was going to authorize the specialty meats to be added to our ticket at no cost due to the issues that we were having. Shortly after, another manager (I did not get hi name) came over and my wife explained to him what had transpired during our experience. He then offered us complimentary desserts. One part of our group requested the Keylime Pie and my son ordered a Lava Cake. My wife took a bite of the Lava cake and looked at my friend Kristi (who runs her own bakery) and told her "this is not Lava Cake. This looks and tastes like they bought a chocolate angel food cake, injected it with chocolate and called it a lava cake". Kristi looked at it then called the manage over again and explained how this "lava cake" was an insult to bakers. In the end, our tab was taken from $156.00 to $42 which was nice, but should have been totally comp'd in my opinion. I used to love Fogo de Chão but unfortunately it seems to have gone downhill of late. Food My favorite sides were all gone. No more garlic mashed potatoes, polenta, or fried plantains. They had some small roasted potatoes that weren't nearly as good. The meat service was lacking too. Perhaps it's because they seated us in the far corner of the restaurant, farthest from the kitchen, but the only cuts of steak I was offered were top and bottom sirloin. I saw tons of lamb, although that didn't really appeal to me. I had to request that someone finally bring the sausage. Service My wife and I went on a Saturday night, so of course they were busy. We only waited about 5 minutes past our reservation time to be seated, which was good. But the waiter was not attentive at all. My wife ordered the grilled salmon entre because she doesn't eat red meat. The waiter forgot to enter the order so she didn't get her food. By the time he acknowledged he forgot to put it in, it had been 40 minutes and my wife just said to cancel it because she had had enough salad and didn't want to wait another 30 minutes. Less critical, the waiter also forgot to bring the Chimichurri sauce I had requested. I finally got it from someone else twenty minutes later after my food was cold. Facilities For a restaurant this size that likely seats hundreds of people, how in the world is there only one toilet in the men's room? I'm surprised this isn't some code violation. Forty-five of us were there to celebrate three of our extended family college graduates. Personally the side dishes were just as tasty as the meat selection. We were seated very comfortably in the patio section. The ambiance was very delightful. The salad bar was kept fully stocked and all of the items looked fresh. Most delicious was the candied bacon. I had to use my birthday coupon to get a horrible experience and nothing that I requested, other than the pork belly. I would not recommend that you go to this place alone, you will be ignored and disregarded, which will leave you still hungry and pissed just like I am right now. I would arguably say that their chicken is cooked better than their beef cuts. Although the food wasn't amazing, the service was pretty decent. Although we had to ask for some things multiple times before a server brought it to us, the restaurant was incredibly busy. What really stood out to me at the restaurant wasn't even the meat. I have been coming to Fogo de Chao Addison location for years even though I live in Plano now. I came this time to celebrate my Birthday with the family. I noticed a few things on my last visit that made me give them three stars. I noticed many of the meats were way over cooked including lamb, peppered or garlic steak, and a few others. I also noticed that the carvers do not listen to you when you ask for medium rare cuts. They just cut and give you whatever they have. The second thing I noticed was that Filet Mignon, Ribeye, and Lamb seems scarce. We had to ask the server that we would like the following. They would stop by with barely any for the table. For Filet, I got probably a 1 inch square for the entire meal, the lamb was overcooked and dry. There was plenty of all the other cuts coming around. Especially all the sirloin cuts. I told my wife that I would prefer to go to a good steakhouse and get one high quality cut prepared the way I like it as oppose to Fogo in the future. In terms of the waiters, they were always people asking if we needed anything. So that was never the problem. read more

We had a reservation for our large group and had to wait more than 30 minutes in crowded waiting area. Our 88 yr old father had to wait outside in the heat. The hostess then just points to table, no one seated us. There was wet floor near our table and several in our group slipped and nearly fell. Wait staff ignored our table and asked if we were done when we were still waiting for gauchos to bring meat over.
