Getting shrimp, veggies and steak!
Vince U.

As a self-proclaimed Teppanyaki connoisseur, I can confidently say this place fires on all cylinders, literally. Our chef wasn't just a chef. He was an entertainer and magician! Every toss, flip, and flame kept me intrigued. If interested, the chef will toss a piece of zucchini at you to see if you can catch it in your mouth. After three tries I finally got one! The service was outstanding, and the food was perfectly prepared with great flavor. We got the Filet and Shrimp combo which came with soup, salad and rice. The Rihaku Dreamy Clouds sake was a great light sake to start with. If you're looking for dinner and a show, this is a great option.

Fried soft shell crab and geisha drink

Friendly service! but food is very mediocre for the price. The softshell crab was $15 and came with two pieces, all just batter and very little crab. There is a $15 per seat minimum if you would like to share entrees. Drinks were mediocre as well. We came as a party of 6 and each grill seats 8 - we did not know this coming in and were not told that random people would be sitting at our table as well (even a heads up would be nice).

Super quick and detailed service. Nick was my server and he was crazy fast from drinks to sushi bar to entree. Restaurant is clean and organized would totally recommend!!

Returning again for ambiance, service and food! It's always a great time with family members as we watch the talented chiefs prepare our meals. Kids are entertained and adults are fed well.

Birthday balloon and sherbet ice cream!

This was my first ever experience eating teppanyaki and it was delicious and so entertaining. We came here for my fiancés birthday and they went above and beyond to celebrate him. They sang him happy birthday twice - once during the cooking of dinner and the second time afterwards with free ice cream. They brought out several staff members banging a drum to sing him happy birthday with his ice cream. They even had him stand up and dance to it. My fiancé loved this! I will say though, I HATE attention in public like this so for me, this would've been too much attention for my birthday for my liking but if you like above and beyond, this is the place for you! The food was really delicious. I ordered the new york steak and chicken teppanyaki and that comes with a salad, soup, rice, mixed veg and two dipping sauces. I upgraded to get the fried rice instead of the white rice that it comes with and it was only $5 more. I also ordered the El Diablo sushi roll which was really tasty and not fishy at all. The cooking of the food was so entertaining and our chef did a fantastic job putting on a show and making delicious food. I'd love to come back for another celebration!

* Review is for sushi only. * Two of us needed to grab a quick lunch to go and came here for a couple sushi rolls. We initially thought of going to Musashi's a couple blocks away, but it was closed until dinnertime, so despite the higher pricing, Fuji became our only option for sushi at Redmond Town Center. I've always been curious about this place, so we figured, why not? At around 12:30P, only a few tables were occupied and one of them had the full teppanyaki show going. The host came over immediately and took our order. He said it would be about a 10-15 minute wait, which turned out to be spot on. Although this restaurant is known for teppanyaki, they do have a large menu of sushi options and specialty rolls. + CATERPILLAR ROLL ($18): Eel, crab & cucumber inside with thinly sliced avocado and unagi sauce on top. The avocado was perfect and I was glad to see it had more eel meat than fatty skin. Unfortunately there were so many bones in the eel! I know that the bones are edible, but I could feel them scratching my mouth and throat. While tasty, this wasn't super pleasant to eat. + LION KING ROLL ($18): Crab, cucumber and avocado inside, topped with seared salmon and spicy mayo. For the most part, I enjoyed this roll, although the salmon was barely seared. It was delicious and silky though, and I'd rather have it seared less than be overcooked. I didn't really care for the spicy mayo on top since it was on the sweeter side, but luckily the roll was not drenched in the sauce. + VEGETABLE TEMPURA ($12): This was a good medley of green beans, zucchini, onion, kabocha squash and carrot. They were super crispy and tasted even better with a dip in the tempura sauce. The onion rings were my favorite. Between the two of us, this was a nice light lunch. The rolls were a reasonable size and satisfied our sushi craving. In the future, I could see myself coming back for another one of their specialty rolls or trying the teppanyaki experience for a special occasion. 3.75 stars.

Teppanyaki is always an entertaining way to experience a dinner out :) Was very empty on a Wednesday evening. Ordered: Scallop and New York Steak Teppanyaki combo ($44) Dragon Roll ($18) Spider Roll ($15) Quality was fine and the sushi was well made. Fun presentation. Very Polite Staff. Located in Downtown Redmond.

What a great place. Food was top notch. Steaks were cooked perfectly! Chef was very entertaining. And they make a good cocktail. Definitely will be back!

Filet Mignon and Lobster with the fried rice upgrade

My bf has never been to a Japanese steakhouse for teppanyaki before, so we choose this place for his first experience. We had reservations, but there was still a little wait. We started off with cocktails. I got the Mojito, which was pretty good, but seemed to be mostly ice. He got a Moscow Mule, and he liked it. For our teppanyaki dinner, I got the filet mignon and lobster and he got the filet mignon and shrimp. I thought we were going to need to order more food after, like maybe sushi, but our dinner actually filled us up. Food was good and cooked well. Service, including our cook, were very friendly. The food and the experience seems to be pretty much the same as all the teppanyaki places I've been to.

We were very disappointed. Food was too salty. Quality and presentation didn't match the price. Don't expect Benihana type of experience.

This was only our second time visiting, and he took the time to explain the menus, something we didn't receive during our first visit. When our sushi arrived, he didn't just drop off the food and leave. Since all of the rolls were served on one platter, he walked us through each roll so we knew exactly what we were eating. That level of attention made the experience so much more enjoyable. He also checked on us frequently without being intrusive and made sure we were able to place our entire order before happy hour ended. During our last visit, our server avoided our table until about five minutes before happy hour ended, so we missed out on ordering several items we wanted to try. David made sure that didn't happen this time. We left completely full, happy, and very satisfied. His service was intentional, attentive, and truly top-tier. Customer service like his is exactly what keeps people coming back. We will definitely be requesting David the next time we visit! Also, the ambiance is lovely!

I was looking for somewhere to celebrate an exciting new job and this was the perfect spot! Wowwww…read morewowowowowow The ambiance is incredible, from the decor, food, space, service, even down to the menu. Our server was so incredibly sweet, so accommodating and so patient with all of my questions and requests. I started off with the Lychee Sake-tini and I will be thinking about that drink for a longggg time, for someone who loves a fruity lil sweet drink it was perfection in every way. Then the FOOD. You can do hibachi or you can be seated in the dining room and I had my heart set on sushi (but now will be back to try hibachi for sure!). My partner ordered the pico sushi tower and the fried calamari. Both were very impressive serving sizes! She was feeling ambitious and was going to order 3 tapas, but ended up not even being able to finish the two. I ordered the sake bento box and WOW. I had had my heart pretty set on trying it going in because I had looked at the menu ahead of time, and was sad when the menu didn't have it listed as gluten free BUT I mentioned it to our server and she was happy to accommodate. I got to live my sushi bento box dreams We already are thinking of all the reasons and times to come back, 10000/10!!!

My family and I often come in for lunch; we're big fans of the lunch sets where you can choose 3 meats, salad, and miso soup for about $20! Our personal favorites were the sweet soy toro beef and the spicy pork. I think compared to other people's experiences, I thought the staff were kind, attentive, and really improved our experience this time around! They told us how long to grill the meat for, what sauces they thought paired best with each cut, and even fixed our grill when it wasn't working properly. I was already a big fan of gyu kaku cause of their food, but the staff here were an added bonus as well. We'll definitely be coming back!

COCKROACHES IN THIS RESTAURANT!!!…read more Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. We waited over 30 minutes just to receive our drinks, which already set a bad tone for the night. On top of that, when we politely asked a server about a dish that never arrived, his response was extremely rude. He told us, "We know what we're doing," instead of offering an apology or solution. To make matters worse, we noticed cockroaches on the walls, which is completely unacceptable and very concerning from a hygiene standpoint. Between the long wait times, poor customer service, and serious cleanliness issues, this is not a place I would recommend. We expected much better.

They accommodated our group well, and the service was friendly and surprisingly quick. We ordered a little bit of everything--tempura vegetables, sashimi, and a couple of sushi rolls. Overall, everything was delicious. My only small critique was that one of the broccoli pieces in the vegetable tempura was so thick that a little of the batter wasn't fully cooked through. It wasn't a huge deal, though. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and each piece of fish practically melted in your mouth. The sushi rolls were also on point and packed with flavor. This spot seems to have been around for a long time, hence the number of reviews already posted…read more It's a hole-in-the-wall location, or in this case a hole-in-the-side since it faces the street but isn't that noticeable. I decided to come here with a friend on a Friday night around 6pm, and got here using street parking that was hard to come across. You could probably stay for a long time here just enjoying conversations with friends; the inside feels like a fine-dining steak restaurant mixed with bar-like noise levels but instead of chatter you hear today's most popular K-pop music from LE SSERAFIM, for example. The menu is expansive and covers everything from bento boxes to specialty sushi to a really large ramen bowl that you can try finishing in half an hour for a $100 gift card to use at the restaurant. I got a tonkatsu bento, and my friend got their chicken katsu bento. We both weren't too satisfied with what we got: - We each got California rolls as our sushi side. Pretty standard but filling. You can sub for spicy tuna rolls for $1 more. - Sides like the miso soup and salad were served in separate bowls sometime before our bento boxes were served. Standard for both as well but I love me some salad dressed in sweet sauces. - The tempura and fried selection was one of our favorites. Gyoza was all right, but the shrimp tempura was fresh, hot and crispy. There was one tempura that I thought would be a potato croquette but then ended up tasting more like a hash brown. It was also a little thinner than what I remember a potato croquette being. - Our biggest issue was, sadly, the katsu itself - for both of our bento boxes. Regardless of meat, the outer coating was pretty hard, so much so it even scratched the roofs of our mouths when we ate it. Neither meat was particularly juicy though I slightly preferred my friend's chicken katsu over the tonkatsu I got; it was ever so slightly juicy and my mouthfeel could only subtly pick that up. Service overall was great; we got our orders promptly, water was refilled without us asking, and our server would ask how we were doing at times. This was still a great experience, just the food we got wasn't great. If I come back, I'll try their sushi and maybe even risk the huge ramen bowl.
