In the era of Covid It's been way too long since I have had sushi I refused to order it for pick it's one of those things I need to eat at a restaurant get what I'm saying..so early Friday dinner Found this place and decided to try it out. I signed in waited about 1 minute to be seated outside at a little bistro table. Right away the waitress brought menus and took our drink order. Sodas were served in cans along with a glass of ice and they asked if we needed straws but I declined. Ordered a baked salmon roll, spicy tuna and a crunch roll. They were all good but my favorite was the baked salmon roll it was piping hot and really good. As I was eating I noticed plenty of traffic from people arriving for dinner and or picking up orders for me that's always a good sign. I would eat here again and try a few different rolls or enjoy some sashimi next time. read more

Been here twice now and it did not disappoint. The sushi to rice ratio is on point. The purple rice provides visual appeal. Sorry no pictures of the food because we ate it as soon as it landed on the table. Highly recommend the Bingo Roll, Autumn roll and an order of yellowtail sushi. We got seated right away and food came out relatively fast. Will be back again. read more

I've never had baked green mussels with cheese and they way that prepared their baked lobster roll was not appetizing at all. Waitress or the waiter never checked on us during our whole meal. Won't be coming back here read more

We absolutely love fusion or "purple rice" as we call it in our household. Don't be turned off by the purple rice, it is flavorful and delicious. We started our meal sitting at the sushi bar with Chef Mason. He was funny and added his own personal touch to every dish we ordered. After our appetizer of miso soup, we got salmon sushi and toro sushi. The salmon was buttery and chef Mason even added lemon which was a really nice touch. The Toro melted in our mouth and was amazing. Finally, we got the sashimi roll. It is fresh and delicious and honestly my personal favorite. In my opinion, the prices are too low in comparison to the outstanding service, quality of fish and presentation. I cannot say enough good things about this place, and I highly recommend it!! Can't wait to try more items!! read more

First time trying this place . They dont have all you can eat but we tried their rainbow rolls and other ones I forgot the names but everything was delicious and so fresh! Service was awesome, they came and checked on us more than two times to see if we need anything and how did we like the food ? Ambiance was cool , a little hot but over all we enjoyed it and defiantly will be coming back . read more

My sister and I were craving some sushi around 8pm on a Friday and Fusion Sushi seemed like one of the few places in YL that was still open. We called it in and ordered the following: Scallop cut roll: I thought this was good; wasn't too overly fishy, good portion of scallop and I like the simplicity. Salmon cut roll: My sister was a fan; simple roll but had all the basics. Eel cut roll: Really simple; cucumber, avocado, eel. Everything that I wanted and all I needed. It was a good amount of eel and it didn't feel like mostly rice. Crunchy roll: Came with a lot of eel sauce, crunchy pieces of tempura, and not a lot of imitation crab taste (which is a good thing) We were surprised with the purple rice as that's pretty new to use but it was pretty and tasted fine. It was really busy on that Friday night and lots of outdoor seating and I saw a lot of other to-go orders as well. read more

I ordered 3 rolls, the california roll was really under whelming even for a california roll, and the porcine lobster roll had a giant long black hair sticking out of it. The third roll was a crunch roll but i threw it and the rest of the popcorn roll out as i was too grossed out. read more

Spontaneously decided to check out Fusion Sushi on a Friday night after a couple friends had spoken highly of it. First and foremost, the restaurant is located in a gem of an area; cute water fountain, string lights, and nice outdoor seating. Although I didn't get to experience this because I picked up a couple rolls to-go, can't wait to go back and dine in! I came by around 6:30pm on Friday evening which appeared to be peak dinner rush. A hostess took my order pretty immediately (which consisted of 2 rolls- the Aloha roll and the Washington roll). I ended up walking around for about 15 mins until my order was ready. The sushi was delicious! The fish was fresh, not drenched in sauces, purple rice was tasty, and the rolls were a decent size. The prices are decent, no more or no less than your typical sushi restaurant; I paid about $26 in total. I can't wait to have Fusion Sushi fulfill my next sushi craving- which I feel is coming soon! read more

I've been coming to this spot for the last 10 years. It's always been pretty solid for lunch specials and sushi. There has been a couple times where they surprised me with a complementary dessert. The sushi here is so generous and flavorful. I really like the variety in the menu, there are some unique combination. We even had a roll brought out to us that had a flame!! I just paid $75 for a very mediocre sushi meal of a few rolls, chicken katsu, and nasty shrimp tempura. I feel ripped off. Really sick of restaurants charging high prices and delivering cheap, forgettable food. You can do far better than this place. read more

Worst servise ever. Took 20 min to prder water and then another 20 min to have someone come back to take our order. We actually got out food before our wanter. We ordered COLD sake and they brought HOT sake. 3 tables in the entire place have people sitting!!!!!!!!!!! read more

OMG. I have had so much sushi in the last few years but never have I tasted such an amazing dance of flavors. Bluefin carpaccio was a special of the day. Do not attempt to season yourself, it needs nothing extra and please try to refrain from licking the plate. You could probably ask for a straw. Salmon fantasy was delectable and succulent, please order 2 plates you won't be sad. Also tried the mussels and the tiger roll and the Hawaiian. So glad it didn't have cream cheese in it. This place is a hidden gem with its own signature black rice blend, it has a wholesome taste to it and is packed with nutrients. The sushi menu has lots of choices, my fav is the crispy rice sushi omg that crunch factor is amazing!!! The heart attack is really good and has a kick of spicy to get the party started. Fusion Sushi is the best sushi place in Anaheim/Anaheim Hills. The service & food quality was so nice here. I would definitely like to visit here again. They have really fresh sushi and sashimi, and they serve black rice instead of regular white rice, which is more healthier!! It was Memorial Day so we were very excited to see that our go-to sushi spot was open. The sushi quality always delivers, but today our sushi chef, Mason gave us such an amazing experience. First we started off with our usual starter, the Fusion Tacos, which are always a hit. Then came the continuous flow of sushi courses which consisted of Tuna, Tuna Tataki, Yellowtail, Unagi, Smelt Roe Salmon Roe, Toro, Salmon Belly, and the OMG Roll. Chef Mason was so kind as to top our Smelt and Salmon Roe sushi with complimentary Caviar and Quail eggs! Oh, but it didn't stop there. Chef Mason also gave us complimentary Yellowtail Belly, a Salmon Skin Salad, and a delicious cucumber with some spicy crunchy topping that I'm so bummed I didn't get a picture of. Chef Mason said to take a sip of Sake and then eat cucumber appetizer, and boy did they really complement each other! If you try this place out, try having a seat at the bar and ask for Chef Mason. One downside was the seating arrangement. We were seated away from most of the other guests, and it often felt like the staff forgot we were there. Our original host/server was attentive and friendly, but once they were busy with other tasks, it became difficult to get assistance. It was also not busy for a Tuesday evening. We found ourselves waiting for long periods or having to wave someone down, which wasn't ideal, especially for a birthday dinner. As for the food: * Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll (4/5): Fresh, good quality fish, and a generous portion. A solid sushi roll. * Garlic Edamame (4/5): Flavorful and exactly what you'd expect from a good appetizer. * Lobster Duo with Miso Soup, Salad, and Fried Rice (3/5): Unfortunately, the lobster was quite chewy and seemed overcooked. The miso soup and fried rice were both enjoyable and helped make up for it. * Unagi Donburi (4/5): My husband's meal came with white rice, miso soup, salad, and fried rice. It was his first time trying eel, and he really enjoyed the soft texture and flavor. He said he'd definitely order it again. Our biggest disappointment was the timing of the food. The Unagi Donburi arrived significantly later than everything else. By the time it came out, we had already eaten most of the appetizers and other dishes and were pretty full. It's unfortunate because it seemed like a dish that would have been much better enjoyed fresh, but we ended up taking most of it home. Overall, the food ranged from good to very good, and being able to reserve through Resy and use our Amex dining benefit definitely helped offset the cost. However, considering the price point, we expected more attentive service and better pacing of the meal.

The photo shows the sushi after they replaced those pieces. When I asked why the mango was still missing, they claimed that I had already eaten it. If I had eaten the mango, why was the sauce still intact on top of those pieces? The original plate that was first served to us was even messier and more poorly prepared. It seemed as though the chef may have been careless or inexperienced. The way this complaint was handled was very disappointing. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning to this restaurant again. The owner accused me of eating the missing mango rather than addressing the issue professionally. I found this accusation inappropriate and disrespectful.
