This place is tucked away on the corner of haven and foothill .... Gina's.... Man..... Not one complaint. The service was amazing and our server was very informative. I came here for brunch and to kill time before the baseball gave. Started off with the mimosas which were per tasty. And not going to lie, maybe because I didn't eat but ooouffff! I was definitely feeling my second glass. I ordered the halves French toast which its portion size was really good and definitely did the job and was cooked perfectly! My girl got the avocado toast which they LOADED with avocado. She loved her dish as well. The outside patio area was on point for the gloomy SoCal weather at 9:30am. Definitely want to come back here and try the chicken and waffles. But from the other guest and I'll say so myself, for the first time, go with the French toast! You'll love it! Glad I listened to the regulars. Almost wanted to sleep afterwards. lol read more

This place is wonderful love it. I would give it a 10 star for food quality and selection. We went for Mother's Day brunch buffet . They had the best chicken Marsala , shrimp cocktail, seafood bar with crab legs, fresh omelette's bar you name it they had it and it was top quality and delicious. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Could be our new favorite brunch spot. Went on a Saturday morning, so it was about a 45 minute wait...well worth it.. I had: Chorizo skillet. It was delicious. It's going to look small when they bring it out...I'm a pretty big guy and I couldn't do it... it was delicious... 4/5... pro tip to make it 5/5... it is made with scrambled eggs, which can be a little dry. I added an over easy egg and it was amazing. Next time I will have it with just over easy eggs... 5/5 Wife had: Chilaquiles. Also pretty darn good. I ended up having a little of hers... 4.5/5. Kids both had pancakes, eggs, and sausage. All in all we ate well for about $60 for the four of us, which is hard to do these days. Glad to find quality at a reasonable price! Can't wait to go back. read more

AMAZING!!!!! High recommend trying Gina's if you haven't already. I saved this spot on my Yelp and have been wanting to come here and so glad I finally did. We came on my birthday last week for some breakfast and the wait time was not bad at all, like 5-10 minutes. They have inside and outside seating (with heat lamps) we were seated inside and although it was pretty busy, it didn't feel cluttered. We each ordered a hot latte, which was so so good. And I love the little latte art they do on the drinks. Both my husband and I got the Traditional Breakfast, he subbed waffles for toast and I subbed pancakes. They were a but backed up in the kitchen that day, but we didn't mind at all. Christina our waitress was checking up on us all the time which was very sweet. When our food came out the portions were great! I also like that you can get sausage AND bacon rather than one of the other. We ended up taking the leftovers home because it will fill you up. They also have a rewards program where you can get $5 off your next purchase and a birthday $5 off. I wish I had checked sooner and signed up before coming, but I'll be using that next time. I'm already eyeing other items on their menu I'd like to try. If you want friendly service and delicious food at a fair price, come to Gina's! read more

Breakfast was delicious! The portions were big, the food was full of flavor, and the customer service was excellent. Everything came out super fast, which was a nice surprise. The wait was a little longer than expected, but once we got seated, it was easy to see why, it's worth it. It was my first time visiting, and I brought my parents along, they loved it too! We even took a peek at the dinner menu, and I'm already planning to come back to try it. The music was awesome. Highly recommend! read more

Are you looking for good quality food, a place where everyone knows your name, and the quintessential neighborhood hangout? Look no further. Gina's kitchen is the place to go. Everything I have eaten here so far Has been superb. The quality of the food is out of this world, cooked to perfection, and just the way you would want it made. Today I ate the torta which blew my mind. The chicken was crispy and delicious, the bun was soft and sweet, and their house version of a chipotle sauce was spot on! My friend tried the chicken and waffles and he was just beside himself With how quality the food was. Our server was very attentive and went above and beyond in giving us the highest quality of customer service. My friend's bacon was crispier than she wanted and so she asked for them to redo it and he did it with no questions asked. They have excellent outdoor seating as well as plenty of indoor seating. Recently, they did some renovations and painting which really adds some color to the ambience. Definitely coming back. read more

Oh my this restaurant was fantastic. Wait was looong though, but it was worth it. Food was yummy. I tried the chilaquiles and added carne asada. Wow! So delicious. Red and green salsas were a bit hot but delicious. Portions are gigantic lol perfect if you want to share and try other things lol. My husband ordered the chorizo skillet, and it was also very flavorful. They have indoor/outdoor seating. Inside is very loud so if you prefer a quieter ambiance, definitely seat outside. Wow!! This place was truly a gem and I can't wait to come back with friends ! The chefs Lalo and Palo (I know I spelt their names wrong) could cook it up and were real ones! Imma be thinking about the food for the next 3 days !!! The service was phenomenal and Havana killed it!! She knew the menu like the back of her hand and answered all my questions because I'm an idiot x.x but she did a great job explaining it to me like I'm 5. You've seen all of the great reviews already so you should know this place is a SOLID 10/10! It's been awhile since I went out and had some really awesome food with an even better ambiance and better service. First of all the food was off the chain!! the potatoes were super flavorful and crispy yet soft and this is some of the best Mexican breakfast food I've had in Rancho. I will definitely be back to try EVERYTHING on the menu! Also the service and the people who work here really care about the people, the food they serve, and the restaurant. My review after trying twice in a month. Service: efficient. The staff are hustling especially on Saturday. Food & drink: basic breakfast is a lot of food. The avo toast was just ok. I didn't like the flavor of the avo mash and my medium egg was oily. Spanish latte is amazing. I ordered coffee to go and felt it was a smaller portion from when I dined in. Beware: weekends are PACKED. First come first serve. Wait time could be hour plus. There are waiting seats provided out front. Also! If it is someone's birthday they play a song over the whole restaurant. The song is played LOUD. It is jarring and obnoxious. They desperately need a larger space. Since the restaurant includes catering I'm sure they are maxed out in the kitchen. read more

Haven'f been back to this place since it opened, but let me tell you that this place is where yoh need to eat. The vibe and energy are perfect and this is the best spot in the area for your brunch breakfast needs. If you're a foodie come here. Portions sizes are perfect even if you're a big back. I came here for my first time with my family on my birthday and everyone enjoyed it. Food was amazing. It tasted fresh and the flavors were really well done. You could taste the care put into the food. It is a small space and therefore not many people can be seated at once. There is some seating outside as well. We sat inside and it was good. The only downside was that it took 1hr to be seated. This isn't any of their fault as the wait is a testament to how many people love Gina's. Service was good as well. Our waiter was nice and attentive. I will say that the one thing that made this rating a 4 out of 5 is that we weren't given any silverware. We didn't really notice until the food came out. Then once we asked our waiter, he took awhile. Therefore our food was not as hot. And then some of the forks we got had some dried on food. I understand that this can happen with dishwashers and maybe it wasn't checked before going out. But that was a bit of a bummer since we had to wait again for another fork. I cannot wait to come back here and try more dishes. Next time I will prepare for the longer wait. I hope to be able to try new things and maybe even bump up my rating to 5 stars. read more

The food was delicious! My husband had the chile verde and I had the chilaquiles. The portions were big and came fairly quick considering how busy they were. Also, if you like a quality latte, this is the place for it. My husband and I both had the Spanish latte and loved it. My daughter had the kids pancakes, and seemed to enjoy it as well. It's so hard for me to rate any restaurant 5 stars but this one truly deserved it. My friend brought me here because she loved it and I can't wait to be back. The portions and the flavors exceeded all my expectations. Servers were kind and helpful. The outside patio is definitely the place to sit (where we did) inside just seemed a bit too overwhelming for me. This is the perfect spot for brunch with anyone as they have an extensive menu. My friend and I split Gina's Omelette and French Toast Combo and we still didn't finish everything. I didn't expect the scrambled eggs to blow me out of the water like they did but they were done so well. It wasn't just any eggs you can make at home or that you get at a random diner this was like Master Chef level scrambled eggs I was thoroughly impressed. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crispy. I appreciated that they were a smashed potato done really well. The French toast had the most beautiful texture it wasn't gooey and the piloncillo syrup was the perfect addition. The whipped cream on top isn't out of a can you can taste that it's homemade. I usually hate omelettes as they're too eggy but Gina's was WOW next level. The salsa with it was really good too and gave it some freshness it needed. I appreciated that everything was homemade and you could TASTE it. Lattes were really good too, no bitterness at all and the Lotus cookie with it was such a cute touch. Overall, I've been raving about Gina's Kitchen to my family and friends and how they need to go. Everything I tried had so much flavor which should be the norm for other breakfast places too. Every bite was like a gift that kept on giving. I genuinely can't wait to be back I've been dreaming of these meals ever since. read more

Well, this place has been here a while and yet I have never been. My sista and I decided to come try it out since there's not much in Rancho that we like. Wow loved the food. Our breakfast was amazing the flavors and the presentation and they give you a lot. The service was excellent. Our waitress was great when we asked her what she felt were the favorites and the ambience was simple and relaxing both inside and out. though we chose to eat outside on the patio. If you are used to your meat a little bit more rare or juicy, then this style may not be for you. I thought it was fine but it just depends on your taste buds. I really wanted to give the place 4-stars or even 5. The staff was good, food was fine, and prices all affordable but the place had one problem. Initially, I wanted to eat outside and enjoy some summer breeze with my family. However, there were too many flies attracted to our meal. I was not sure whether it was due to this restaurant or its neighbors. Unfortunately, the flies followed us inside during our meal as well. It may be a non-issue in the colder months but it was a noticeable nuisance during our meal.

I've had the pleasure of visiting Gina's Kitchen and Catering a few times now, and on each occasion, I've been met with the most delightful and attentive service from the same server. However, my recent experience left me feeling conflicted due to an interaction with the owner, which impacted the overall dining experience. Last week, I decided to bring some friends to check out the restaurant, and I was delighted to find that our usual server was there to assist us once again. However, our initial encounter with another staff member, an older white lady with a big hair bun, was less than satisfactory. Her lack of warmth, failure to introduce herself, or offer any guidance on the menu left us feeling unwelcome and unsure. After a brief wait, the lady returned to take our order, and her demeanor remained far from pleasant. She seemed disinterested and appeared to be forcing a smile. It was only when we inquired about her role that we discovered she was, in fact, the owner of the restaurant. This revelation was quite surprising, given her approach to customer service. Once we finally placed our order, the food arrived with delicious flavors and impressive presentation. The dishes, including the Pork Chuletas, Salmon Benedicts, Avocado toast, and French toast, were undoubtedly a highlight of our dining experience. Despite the enjoyable food, it was disappointing that the owner never made an effort to check on us throughout our meal. Our usual server, on the other hand, was proactive in ensuring everything was to our liking and making sure we had an enjoyable time. Upon further observation, we noticed that the owner, in addition to being the owner, also served as a server herself, primarily focusing on the bar area and a large party seated in the middle of the restaurant. This seemed to explain why she neglected her other tables, including ours and those at the bar. It's disheartening to see her prioritize certain areas while ignoring others, especially when there are several servers working on the floor who could have attended to those tables. The most concerning aspect was the possibility that she might be taking tables from her servers and pocketing their tips. As a patron, it's incredibly upsetting to witness such behavior. The owner should prioritize checking on customers and ensuring their satisfaction, not taking orders and potentially withholding tips from her hardworking employees. While I'm a supporter of small businesses and have enjoyed the delectable food at Gina's Kitchen and Catering, I find it difficult to endorse a business with such questionable practices. No matter how great the food is, mistreating employees and neglecting customers is unacceptable. I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues and ensures a more equitable and customer-focused experience for all. read more

Seeing as my first experience was amazing, I decided to bring a friend for a brunch date. It was a bit busier than my last visit, so we opted for dining in the patio area. The patio was a bit crowded in terms of the seating arrangement, but we made it work. Both my friend and I were talking about matcha beforehand, so it was only fitting that we try out the iced matcha latte. The presentation of the drinks was beautiful, having the Biscoff cookie as garnish was a nice treat. However, and I hate to say this, it was seriously lacking flavor. The strawberry and ube flavors hardly came through and the matcha was underwhelming. Pair this with the drink melting because we're dining outside, and it was just a watery drink with soggy cookie at the bottom. I would not recommend for someone who really values a quality crafted matcha latte. As for the food and service, it was hit and miss this time. My friend had ordered the Chilaquiles Divorciados with steak based on my recommendation and when the food came out, we had to ask for the steak. The beans were also underwhelming, likely because they were not HOT hot, as preferred, and lacking some flavor. The machaca omelet was definitely a hit! The meat was done well and a good portion of it was served with veggies inside the omelet. This was a great choice for lots of protein. I also found my potatoes to be a lot better than my first visit - more flavor and cooked perfectly. Overall, I'd still recommend Gina's Kitchen for a savory and hearty brunch. read more

Ginas is a hidden gem in rancho! I'm visiting family here in the IE from North Carolina and they had raved about a new brunch spot.. Now I cannot stop coming to Ginas kitchen! My favorite by far is their French toast along with their papas bravas! My husband is absolutely in love with the chilaquiles especially because it comes along with a good amount of steak! The Spanish latte is the kind you'd want every morning!!! My son loves the smiley face pancake everytime. The staff/ service is some of the best! No matter what day or time you go in they always have greeted me with a smile on their faces and make me feel like no request is too big. Starting with the host Frankie I believe is his name, he makes you feel welcomed and tries to get you seated in a timely matter if possible. Sometimes they have a wait which is expected with amazing food! It's worth it Every.Single.Time! Marelis is an amazing server.. She will constantly check in on you to make sure your experience is going great and smooth. Definitely will be so sad going back home as there's only one Ginas!! Father's Day Disappointment I truly wish I could comment on the food at Gina's, but unfortunately, I never got the chance to try it. I made a reservation in advance and even had confirmation to show upon arrival, only to be told that my reservation could not be found. The staff kindly added us to the waitlist and estimated a wait time of 30 minutes to an hour something I was willing to accept. However, after waiting over two hours and fifteen minutes without a single follow up call from the restaurant, we ultimately had to leave. Sadly, this was a major disappointment, especially as this was my first Father's Day. My wife had planned this as a special surprise, and we were both looking forward to the breakfast buffet experience. To make matters worse, we had our five month old infant with us. Anyone who's been a parent knows how challenging it can be to manage a baby in extreme heat we were dealing with 110° California weather while waiting this long to be seated. I genuinely hope others have a better experience, but for us, this was not the warm welcome or celebration we had hoped for on such a meaningful day. read more

We had the most amazing experience at Gina's Kitchen and Catering and cannot recommend it enough. We came in as a party of 12 to celebrate a friend's birthday, and from start to finish the service and hospitality were outstanding. Marcos, our server, truly went above and beyond in every way. Not only was he attentive, kind, and on top of everything for a large group, but he made the birthday celebration so special. When the cake came out, he took videos for us, did a fun birthday dance with our friend, and then made sure to send all of the videos to us afterward -- such a thoughtful and unexpected touch that meant so much. The entire staff was incredible. Everyone was friendly, patient, and genuinely cared that we were having a great time. Managing a group of 12 is no small task, but they made it feel effortless and made us feel so well taken care of. Thank you to Marcos and the whole team for making our celebration memorable, fun, and stress-free. We went all in and tried the Hot Chicken & Waffle, Chef's Eggs Benny, Avocado Toast, and Chilaquiles Divorciados. The portions? Huge. The flavors? Delicious. My friend inhaled every last bite of her hot chicken, raving about how it was flavorful without setting her mouth on fire. The beans? Next-level good. Here's my long-awaited review! After experiencing this gem of a restaurant with my girlfriend a couple of times, I couldn't resist introducing my husband to its culinary delights. I'd raved about the food, but I don't think he fully believed me until now. He's now a true believer, already planning our next visit before we even left the restaurant. We indulged in the Baked Mushroom Skillet Omelets and the Traditional Breakfast, accompanied by delightful Oaxacan Café Lattes. Every dish was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation, cooked and seasoned to perfection. Another wonderful breakfast at Gina's. Gina's is great. It's where I love to get Mexican breakfast. We have tried everything on the menu, and it is all delicious. They never let me down! "Have you tried Gina's?" is such an exciting question to ask friends because they know they will get to try these delicious foods and drinks. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food comes out quickly and tastes great!! This place has a great vibe! It's great for parties and special treats. I really like how food is used here. There's nothing I love more than getting food that looks so good that I have to record movies of it, lol. During this visit, we were enjoying the fact that I got into college! It was a good experience trying this place. The service was great. The attendant , sorry forgot her name was very nice and courteous. The place was very homey. Felt the essence of home cooking. We ordered a lot of Mexican food and most of them were delicious and had a big size serving . I ordered grilled chicken salad with chipotle dressing and their signature cinnamon roll. Salad was ok . The greens were a lot. The cinnamon roll was not that fluffy and didn't taste that much cinnamon. But the toppings of whipped cream , sugar melted glaze and strawberry on top made the sweetness. The other dishes were ordered by my family and they were satisfy . For sure we will be back . I had an absolutely amazing brunch experience at Gina's, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Havana! From the moment we walked in, she made us feel so welcome and was so attentive throughout the entire meal. She recommended the margaritas panini, which was absolutely fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and the perfect balance of crispy and soft. The chilaquiles were to die for too--so rich and packed with bold flavors. Havana also suggested their signature French toast, and it was the perfect dessert to round out our meal. My girlfriend and I came by today for another amazing brunch, the service was so top notch and of course we were taken care of by the one and only Marcos G. He's always amazing and takes care of us to the best of his abilities, he recommended to me to try something new today such as the Rancho Burger. The food always is amazing but his recommendation was just amazing , it tasted so fresh and was so delicious! The ambiance as well is amazing and never seems to overwhelms and actually is so comforting and I feel like it's all family! Marcos is the main server I always ask for because he always just knows how to treat my girlfriend and I so well. I had somewhat of a disappointing experience at Gina's Kitchen recently. Despite the restaurant not being busy, our server was inattentive and made several mistakes. My order was incorrect, I received a dirty cup, and my food arrived after everyone else had finished eating. The food quality was exceptional and made up for the service issues. I ordered the milanesa chicken torta with chips, which was delicious. My family also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. While the service fell short, which is why it earned 4 stars, the food was absolutely outstanding. The chef deserves high praise for the excellent cuisine. If I could give zero stars, I would. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had. The place looked dirty, the tables weren't properly cleaned, and the overall atmosphere felt neglected. The food was even worse--overcooked, flavorless, and borderline inedible. It honestly tasted like no care went into it at all. Portions were small, prices were high, and nothing about the meal justified the cost. Service was painfully slow, and the staff came across as rude and dismissive, like customers were an inconvenience. We had to ask multiple times for basic things, and even then it took forever. First time coming here and we had a great experience. Initially, we were on a waitlist for 35-45 minutes, however, i received a text saying they can seat my group now. I told them I was 10 minutes away and they still accommodated us. Our waiter was Marcos and he was phenomenal. Very attentive to our needs and amazing with children. He has good vibes and loves to make his customers laugh by joking around. We ordered Gina's Omelette, hot chicken and waffles, spaghetti and meatballs, and a side Caesar Salad. I remembered this because Iron Skillet has got to be the fastest on the draw in terms of keeping you coffee topped off. I counted in the first fifteen minutes I was there, I had my coffee refilled four times and probably eight times in the span of the forty-five minutes I was there. The only slowdown I saw was when they dropped off the bill. Suddenly after that no one was checking on me to see if I needed more coffee. I guess they figured that I had had enough and were cutting me off. That's a mistake because as long as I'm sitting at breakfast I'm going to want coffee. The second thing I noticed was they have a damn good skillet program here, especially if want to experiment with creating your own. It was something like $15.50 to put in three mix-ins for your skillet, but only $1.50 to make the mix-ins unlimited. This time I kept it simple--sausage, ham, green peppers, and onions along with customary cheddar and three eggs--but next time I'm going to experiment a little. The skillet itself was amazing. The portion was generous, the produce was fresh, and the eggs were super runny. It really is in contention for the best traditional skillet I've ever had. The other thing that could've put it in the running for best skillet overall is if they had some exotic offerings for protein like I've had elsewhere in the country like elk, smoked pulled pork, duck, walleye, or even rabbit. Skillets are good, but skillets with like an animal you don't normally see for breakfast is amazing. I'm still on the lookout for my goat skillet. The service, as aforementioned, was impeccable. The coffee refills is the main thing I complain about other breakfast joints and here I never even had a thought to getting upset regarding that for the first portion of the meal. My only critique as you may have guessed is to continue that generosity and initiative for the whole meal. I really want me to toy with breaking double digits with the amount of coffee refills I receive during a meal. And that's only going to happen if you continue to ask me after you drop off the bill. The ambience is good. It looks like a diner. It quacks like a diner. It's a diner. I felt right at home here with all that space and mix of booths, tables, and counter space. I'm definitely planning my trip back here for that superb Build-a-Skillet and that fantastic attention to keeping the coffee overflowing in my mug.
