One can still imagine the affection imbued into their baked goods as you enjoy them. Unlike many of the others nearby who have crossed into "it's just a business" mentality. I would've ordered more, but was flying back to sac in a few hours so had to limit what I ordered to bring back. This location is the original and it is crowded inside since they sell goods also. I believe they have a few tables for dining in outside, bit I've never dined in so cannot speak to that. I'll continue to go here, or one of their other locations when I'm in So-Cal.

But I can definitely comment on the price and taste. He picked up a 1/4 sheet cake for my mom's birthday for $40, and it was absolutely worth it. The flavors were light and fresh, the texture was amazing, and I loved the layers of cream throughout the cake. Everything tasted balanced and not overly sweet. I'll definitely be ordering again. She stood there until we asked her for the small and then got the cake and boxed it. I guess that's not really considered rude considering she's a fob, but it could come across that way to others.

Baked Banhs is located in the 4th street food market, one of the first shops you'll see if you're coming from the parking lot. Note the hours before you come (for instance, they're closed on Sundays and Mondays). And note that they seem to usually sell out of certain items by the days end. We've tried a number of different items here now including four of their canelés and their basque cheesecake. The cheesecake was solid. But we really loved their canelés. They are soft/moist on the inside with a nice crunch. And the different flavors really come through. Our favorite is the black sesame - not only is there black sesame peppered on the top but also in the center with a nice black sesame cream. It's so good and delicious. Four canelés cost $16 and thought they were well worth the price. Again, it's so sad to hear that Baked Banhs is closing soon so if you're a fan of canelés or other desserts, recommended to come sooner than later to try this out! We really hope they reopen again elsewhere or do a lot of pop-ups soon.

Finally made a trip to the mainland, made off with my daughter's car, and headed down the 22 for some Spanish bread. I ordered a box of 20 STAXX, and six assorted donuts. While waiting for some freshly BAD-baked STAXX, kid behind the counter helped me pick some donuts cuz I was overwhelmed by all this BAD-assery. Knowing myself, I placed the boxes in the trunk and headed back to the pad. And then BAD things happened. I placed the box of STAXX on the counter, opened it up and inhaled that BAD-baked scent.
