Chef recommended this plate and I must say super flavorful and not too expensive! They have so many options on their menu, looked to be family owned which I love!! There are a lot of restaurants on judah but this one is one you go to when you don't want to sit down and spend close to $50 bucks for lunch for one person... Take your food and go to the beach !!

So unassuming but so good AND so cheap. I ordered three slices for $12 which turned out to be the equivalent of 1/2 a pizza! The dough was so crisp on the bottom and doughy in the middle, and the cheese ratio was perfect. The Indian flavors are unique and also a good choice for something different. Start out with a tikka masala if you're new to the concept and enjoy!

Indian Pizza. Definitely worth trying once.

We came here around 2-3 pm. Their buffet was about to end, so we opted to order their infamous pizza. This was my first time trying indian pizza and I would have to say... it's delicious but I probably wouldn't order it again. Definitely worth trying, but I think the conventional way of indian food is better. It's basically their curries spread over a large round naan, topped with cheese. The people there are friendly and nice. I thought for the pizza, it was too expensive. Also they charge for sauces. Give this place a shot though!

So decided on pizza night last week and ordered ahead do the the fact I am ordering right around dinner time and ordering 3 XL pizzas. So when I ordered online since it was harder to screw up the order and got a confirmation for 45-60 mins. I called at 45 and it was done. When I arrived, the pizzas were just sitting there, already done for awhile. It wasn't hot like a pizza should be, just warm. When biting into the and tasting each, the topping were different with an Indian feel but the crust needed to be thicker to enjoy that flavor. It was like eating Indian food on a cracker instead of naan.

My oh my, this was one of the first places that I ever Yelped back when I was an online reviewing neophyte, and now that I'm a reviewing whore, I have finally returned after nearly four years to see very little has changed. In this case, that's a good thing because despite its unwieldy, cross-cultural title, it still manages to produce terrific Indian dishes and a satisfying pizza with all the trimmings and toppings you'd want - including tandoori chicken and spinach curry sauce. Jamie W. and I returned after sauntering through Golden Gate Park last Sunday. He really wanted pizza, and I was feeling like Indian. Voila!...we could have both without compromising. We entered their small space in the 7-11 strip mall and walked into the dark room in the back where they have their dining room. They still do a bonanza pizza take-out business, the restaurant not so much. It's always been pretty quiet back there, and except for a crying baby at another table, it was pretty much the same. The waitress was the same, very serene and this time, very pregnant. Jamie went for the large Golden Gate Deluxe Pizza for $20.25, which was your basic kitchen sink combination with liberal amounts of sausage, salami, mushrooms, pepperoni, onions & bell peppers (see photo). Of course, I took a slice or two. It was definitely on par with the pizza at the Sausage Factory in the Castro. Hearty stuff that hits the spot. I ordered the $10.25 Chicken Tikka Masala in which they bathe chunks of barbecue chicken in an almost-cream-like sauce filled with herbs and spices (see photo). It went well with one of my favorites, the $8.95 Bhindi Masala, chopped okra sauteed with onions and spices (see photo). It was as tasty as I remembered it. Laugh all you want at the name of the place. I wouldn't come all the way across town for something mediocre. It really has to give my palate an erection if you should pardon the expression. Golden Gate Pizza & Indian Cuisine doesn't get me quite that stimulated, but it is well worth the long trek on the N-Judah. FOOD - 4 stars...still as good as I remembered, definitely not an ill-conceived border clash AMBIANCE - 3 stars...it is dark back there SERVICE - 3.5 stars...very quiet, and the food appears to take longer to serve these days TOTAL - 4 stars...still a winning combination of flavors

One of the main reasons I love San Francisco is because of Mom & Pop stores like this! A few buddies and myself wanted to have pizza for dinner and decided to try something new besides the American style Dominos or Pizza Hut. It was our first time ordering an Indian pizza but we were looking forward to see how it turned out. Our experience was great! We had placed an online order which was very convenient since we had a bonfire a few hours earlier at Ocean Beach. The pizza was a custom made order. Love the freshness and how awesome the staff were. Have to mention, they don't only serve pizza here. The location is off inside a small plaza near a laundry mat and 7-11. Like every small shop in San Francisco, parking can be very hard. That's why I recommend ordering online so it'll be a fast pick-up. Overall I would recommend stopping by and trying something new! Thank you!

Big Fish House was busy from the street fair crowd, but they luckily had a table open for us. Since our toddler was hungry, we ordered right away--seafood udon and vegetarian rolls for her, and the assorted tempura, medium sashimi, and sunrise rolls for ourselves. The food came out great! The sashimi was super fresh, and the tempura portion was surprisingly generous. What made the night so special, though, was the incredible hospitality. It feels like a genuine family-owned and operated spot. The staff was so friendly, and you could tell they have a loyal community of regulars--they even greeted several diners by name! Seeing everyone interact so warmly with each other made for such a wonderful dining atmosphere. Going from a bad service experience elsewhere to such a caring, cozy restaurant made us appreciate this spot even more. We'll definitely be back!

The hostess seemed like everyone was bothering her. We had to wait for a table (expected) so we had a couple different interactions with her and she said the absolute bare minimum in an irritated tone and both times I said "thank you" she just stared at me. Our waitress took a considerable amount of time to even come greet us. At greeting she already wanted us to order our food along with our beverages. It felt rushed after not being acknowledged. Once our main courses came we were never checked on until she brought the check. No water refills or anything until the check came and I had to ask. My friend started with the Hartford style clam chowder and it was the blandest chowder either of us had ever had. It honestly tasted like it came from a can. We did get this comped off, which was appreciated. The lobster roll my friend had was mostly all bread and mediocre tasting. Not worth the money at all. I had the squid ink spaghetti and it was completely flavorless other than the occasional burst of spice. It was spice without actual flavor though. I've never had a squid ink pasta dish that tasted like nothing. This was the most bland meal I've ever had at any restaurant.

Finding street parking 1.5 blocks away, I walked in and the hostess seated me at a long table to the right of the entrance. I was a little early which gave me time to study the menu. The dining room was mostly full already. When my party arrived, our host ordered several appetizers to share and asked each diner to decide on their own main meal. We tried three small bites as follows: a. Boneless fried chicken, soy garlic (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=KYa0rZOUsOqjeQpdJelYAA) - Korean style crispy boneless chicken; these were as described with a slightly sweet and sticky glaze. b. Popcorn salmon (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=92ZddPT6Qo2TiIur8YOpZA) - Bite size fried salmon with spicy salmon; I did not recognize that this was salmon until the 3rd bite. c. Bulgogi quesadilla (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=ymymJkLHfLRpJgYcbNFUCw) - Quesadilla with bulgogi and cheese; it makes for an interesting combination, again the sweetness from the meat meshing with the rich and savory cheese. I chose the pork plate (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=tYaxEnKifiKWh7TzfzH1rA), spicy; marinated sliced pork savory sauce cooked with veggies and glass noodle on sizzling plate, served with rice (more meat $7.00, brown rice $2.00 supplement charges). I had this with regular rice and the normal portion which was plenty. The flavor was consistent with K style cooking and, being full from a heavy lunch and the apps, I ended up bringing home half of this home, rice included. It seemed that everyone enjoyed their meals and everyone had boxes to bring food home so the portions are generous. In reading my original review, the food again rates 3.5 stars for me but it was interesting to see how the menu changed to include ramen and soups too. The two gals who tended to our big party (not an easy task) were efficient and cordial as they removed empty plates and bowls and refilled water glasses regularly. The dining room filled up by the time we left with a younger crowd. There is an extensive soju menu so that may be a draw too. With the # of restaurants in the Richmond, doubtful that I would return here other than for parties like this. Also, I lean towards more traditional Korean cuisine.
