    Pork Wonton with Chili Sauce
    Pauline L.

The restaurant is very clean and I liked how I was able to see into the kitchen. The decor on the wall was also very cute -- it showed the different noodles shapes! I am a huge fan of the noodles here -- very wide, flat and chewy. They also do not skimp out on the amount of food that they give you. The portions here are HUGE! The service is also very quick and they make sure to seat you right away and bring your food out in a timely manner. I went when it was busy and I was very satisfied with the efficiency. Pork Wonton with Chili Sauce - 9/10. The dumpling were so juicy and the pork inside was very flavorful. The chili sauce added a nice kick of spice and was so savory. Braised Chicken with Flat Noodles - 8/10. The flat noodles were the best part of the dish and honestly it wasn't spicy! Numb Spicy beef flat Noodles - 10/10. This dish had a strong kick to it! It was spicy but the best part was that the spice did not overwhelm the flavor. The wide chewy noodles soak up every bit of the rich savory sauce making each bite so flavorful. They also have so many toppings other than the beef too which I liked.

The noodles are amongst the better ones I have tried in recent years. We heard of this place from a friend who lives in Fremont, so we drove down to Milpitas to check this out. It is in the same plaza as the popular porridge place and New China Tofu (where they used to sell Stinky tofu - but that is for a different story). The place is roomy and clean, the service was decent, friendly enough but we had to ask for sharing bowls and spoons. The order is the usual QR code so you order online, but pay offline. They have plenty of selection, but since it was just the 2 of us, and based on the name, noodles should be must orders. We had a soupy version (hot and sour fish) and a dry version (spicy ground pork), with a side order of cold appetizer (shredded tofu skin salad). The cold appetizer was a bit salty, but the overall flavor was pretty good. We added more chili oil that is available on the table. There was a wait between the appetizer and the next dish, we finished the appetizer before the first noodle arrived. Hot & Hour Fish - we selected the hand-cut noodles. The noodles were thick with just the right amount of chewiness. The broth was amazing with just enough kick, not too spicy. The fish was tender and the tofu was wonderful. The only "veggie" was the pickled/perserved mustard greens. We really enjoyed this one. Dry/Stir spicy noodles with ground pork - we selected the thick flat noodles for this. The presentation was beautiful and we could smell the chili powder and it was wonderful. A bit oily, which i understand as we need the oil to get the sauce mixed and noodles do not all stick together. The kick for this dish is actually less than the fish noodles, and not too salty, which was great after the salty appetizer and the strong flavor of the fish noodles. We did not finish and had to bring them back home. And we know we will be back!

Noodles come in big portions and you can customize how thin or thick you want your noodles. I got the Braised Pork Belly Noodle and it was very delicious and comforting. I love how they gave plenty of meat and the soup on the side is a good palette cleanser. You can self-order using the QR code and service was efficient

Came here around 12pm. Place is spacious, plenty seating, quick service, everything was made fresh and hand pulled. My friends and I got so full. Noodles were well-cooked. Food: - Braised Beef Soup Noodles - savory, strong beef flavor, medium thin noodles - Seafood Noodle Soup - good amount of seafood but sizes were small, got the wide flat noodles - Braised Pork Belly Soup - savory - Shrimp Dumplings - soft, tasty - Egg Yolk Buns - three pc, looked like little piggies, tasty

Pretty good with decent portions! Came here for dinner on a Friday with friends at 6pm and was seated right away. We did family style and it came out to $130 for 4 people and a baby. Dishes I'd get again: - Tofu + century egg - Vegetable chow mein - Pig ear - Scallion pancake Will be back to try more dishes! Menu is through a QR code.

About a month ago, hubby and I came here for an early lunch on a Sunday. We came in time before noon as the restaurnt became quite busy after. We were seated near the kitchen so we were able to look in and see BTS. The restaurant is very spacious, clean and bright with a modern design. There are booth tables against wall and tables in the middle of the restaurant. A QR code is is availble at the table for you to view menu and order. I actually like this better as I don't feel rush to order and gives me the chance to look through the menu without feeling rush to order. Iced water was brought out instantly. We ordered the following: 1. Lamb skewer, spicy: you can smell the intensity of the spice when the dish was brought out from the chili powder. The meat is moist and grilled well w/ a nice crisp. There is no gamey smell. I took a first bite but the chili powder slightly burned my gums. Had to ask Hubby to shake some of the chili poweder off the skewers for me. Its a messy dish but very tasty. 2. Spicy beef soup w/ wide noodles: Noodles are HUGE! About 1.5 inches wide and forever long. I had to use the scissors to cut it up. Noodles are good. Chewey texture just as I like it. Comes with a whole egg and beef. The broth has a nice spice to it and unlike other spicy noodle soup I've tried, it does not taste oily or overwhelmed with spices esp Sze Chuan chilis. It had a good balace of savory and spiciness. 3. Wide noodles w/ braised chicken: This dish is delish but it's a BIG dish like a whole chicken was prepared! Can feed up to 4-5 people. It's the size of a medium pizza or even a Large. The thick sauce is very flavorful but not salty. It comes with potatoes, carrots, onions, green bell peppers, and dried whole chili. Its not spicy but may be for kids as we have a high spicy tolerance. Only thing about this plate I didn't like it there's bones. We ended 2 more meals with the leftover. The noodles are hand pulled in house as we sat by the kitchen and saw the kitchen staff making it. Food comes out pretty quick and service is very good. The staff are very attentive and met our needs promptly. We definitely will return to try other plates as the menu is pretty big.

Food was really good! Good amount of spice and the sauces on the table were great. Would come back again to try the other dishes

Scrumptious hand pulled noodles & authentic! The beef noodle soup (bone in) was our favorite. noodles were chewy and thick which we prefer. The broth did have a very pronounced sour taste to it that wasnt amazing but still soup was hearty. The other dish was too saucy and salty -- didn't love that one but it was still devoured.

11/09/25 overall 2.5/5. We came at opening and were seated immediately. I was reminded recently by my Yelp sista that Highland's noodle was also in Milpitas. We happened to be visiting in the area for the weekend and remembered how yummy the soft opening in Roseville was that we wanted to try this initial location and compare thinking it would be better! We were definitely surprised with so many more options vs Roseville and ordered quite a bit of food to try. We started with a few appetizers to build up to our noodles. They have lamb sticks and chicken sticks at this location and we didn't recall it at the other. We ordered (2) chicken sticks at 4.99/each and kids liked it. We ordered Crab Rangoon to try. My SIL said it tasted as expected. We recall not liking the wonton in chili at the other location due to the peanut flavor profile so chose to order the dumplings with hot chili sauce at this location. The dumplings weren't that great here either and it came out in a chili oil "soup" w/bok choy. It was lacking serious flavor. We chose the shrimp, pork and chive and it didn't taste anything like it was supposed to. On to our noodle orders. My youngest ordered Dan Dan Noodles w/flat noodles since he enjoyed my bowl in Roseville. This one came out with more soup and was lacking flavor. The noodles came out looking like wide noodles. Oldest son ordered Spicy spare rib noodles and it came with a bowl of coup on the side. He ordered wide flat noodles and his was probably the best bowl on the table but still not comparable to Roseville. Husband ordered braised beef noodle with flat noodles. Flat noodles came out the same as my oldest with wide flat noodles. I was at a loss on what to order between beef and tomato or seafood noodles and went with Spicy seafood as I don't recall it being offered at Roseville and also chose flat noodles. The soup had a seafood base but I was overwhelmed with how much noodle they gave in the bowl. My bowl looked absolutely nothing like the advertisement on the menu. (See pics). This was really disappointing as my bowl looked like a mix of baby size seafood cut up with imitation seafood vs full shrimp and bigger seafood medley as advertised. We all felt like wide flat and flat noodles were all the same size like they had an overage of wide cut noodles in the back left over. Noodles tasted like it was sitting out clumped together vs freshly made that morning. Possibly our fault for coming at opening but we did the same in Roseville and the noodles were really good! We sadly would not come back to this location and will continue to go to the Roseville location. Ample parking as it's in the Asian shopping plaza right off Dixon and Milpitas Blvd. Service was not attentive. We needed more napkins but dealt with the one given per person.

I came here with my family on a weekend evening for dinner, and we had a great experience! We were seated right away, and there is a QR code to place your order. We got an assortment of items, and they all came out relatively quick. The food was good! Each person had their own favorite dish. My personal favorite was the tomato egg noodles. I would skip out on their non-noodle dishes, to be honest. But everything else is fair game. I love how customizable it is, you can pick the noodle shape to your liking. I would come back to try more items!

Pork belly noodles, pig ear, & shredded potato
    Jennifer Q.

We tried Highland Noodles right when they opened with a group of three, and it ended up being such a pleasant surprise. There was plenty of seating, the space was super clean, the staff was nice and welcoming, and parking was really easy -- always a plus. Since it was our first visit, we didn't really know what to expect, but we loved everything we ordered. We got the pork belly noodles, the pig ear, and the cold shredded potato. The noodles were super bouncy, the broth was flavorful without being too heavy, and the pork belly had just the right bite. Both cold appetizers were great as well, refreshing, well seasoned, and nicely balanced. This is one of those places my husband and I still think about every now and then when we're back home, which says a lot. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes next time we're in the area!

    Bernadette G.

The food is so good! I had the pork belly soup with the medium flat noodles. I love the texture of the freshly made noodles, it had a nice snap to it. The broth was nice and flavorful with a generous amount of tender, delicious pork belly. The scallion pancakes were nice and crunchy and were not greasy. The restaurant is nice and clean. The music was a bit loud, but I think someone complained and it was turned down. Nice, friendly service. Definitely a nice place to go during these cold weather months!

Ordered the beef noodle soup with medium firm noodles. Very sad that Ox 9 down the street has closed, as this is the next best place closest to me for hand-pull noodle soup. Not much to say about this place other than great portion sizes. Otherwise the soup is a bit oily and bland for my taste.

If you eat smaller meals then two might be able to share. I tried it as well and thought our cuts were mostly fat, but they were flavored well. I ordered the Shezuan (mala) potato noodle soup. Turns out potato noodles are really soft with basically no bite or chew, so they weren't as fun to eat as expected. Flavor and portion size were still good. The mala / numbing spice is particularly strong here, so if you like it, you'll have a good time. While everything was satisfactory and tasted good, I don't think I'd seek this place out as it wasn't as memorable. Decent if you're already in the area though.

Noodles are my fave food because their texture is always good. These noodles were a nice chewy and they were soaking up the beef stew the whole time, so all the bites were really sauced up. The beef was super tender. It was slow cooked and oh my goodness the thick sauce, which was really nice and comforting, coated the noodles and made the soup pretty hearty. The lamb noodle soup was also really filling but because it had a more subtle flavor it was really nice and made you wanna keep going for more. The dumplings were the best, super crunchy in the best way and just fun and easy to eat. Everything was beyond what I expected and the portions were really big. The staff was really nice and keeping everything really fresh. Everything was nice and really casual which I really liked. I'm gonna be coming back to try a ton of the noodle soups for sure.

Haven't checked out restaurants in this area in a while. This used to be a Shanghai restaurant and…read moreI found out from the owner they've been open for 2 years now. There aren't many (any) Henan restaurants in Bay Area so this is a good addition to the mix of cuisines we get here. The restaurant is clean and cozy and service is attentive (the waitress walked me through their whole menu). Both dishes we ordered have flat wheat based noodles in it. The braised noodles soup feels a bit like Pan Mee from South East Asia except the soup from the steak (more like beef ribs) is super tasty deep beef broth (no hint of msg which is good). The big beef plate reminds me a bit of the Peruvian stir fry with the sliced and fried potatoes. What a great find and a great opportunity to try out Henan food. Will definitely come back again to try other dishes. Btw we were here on a weekday and the place is full!
