I had a girl who was supposed to make my sandwich, not only do I suspect she was high on the job, but she took forever to make a sandwich that was right in front of me. She claimed the only white bread she had was this one loaf but failed to tell me how stale it was. I couldn't even bite into my sandwich later because that's how hard the bread was. It was empty and I was the only one ordering. She was making another sandwich in front of me maybe for a mobile order but still took maybe 30 minutes to make a simple sandwich all while having continents from previous ones still on the board. Ordered on line, accidentally pushed for pick up instead of delivery. Realized this almost immediately. When I called the location and explained the answer was a very cold tough luck. I was surprised to find the restaurant COMPLETELY prepped for closing. I asked, "are you still open?" and the worker replied reluctantly, "yes." This location has a new owner who raised prices 2 dollars on the sandwiches. it's now 22 dollars for a giant sandwich. That's ridiculous. They also now charge you 10 cents for a bag when you get food to go. They have a sign that says it's the law, but it's not. In and out and mcdonald's don't charge for that. Scam. Furthermore, it's a law that you can't leave straws or condiments out (they must be asked for) but those are out and free. Just trying to squeeze every possible penny from customers. I usually don't come here but I was near here so I thought I would try it again. I'm usually near subway but I thought I would check out this place again. It's been a few years since I've tried it. My first impression was not so good. I had forgotten how limited they are on things to add to your sandwich compared to subway or other sandwich places. I had a hard time Deciding what I wanted because I felt my options were just so limited. I decided to just get a turkey club with no cheese and added bacon. I'm of course going to assume the counters are always cleaned off, as they cut the bread and all right on the counter top. I'm used to other places using paper or something underneath the sandwich. The prices are fair. And they have some Nice options but at the same time I felt all the options were so similar. They do have hot sandwich's as well. I'm Not sure I'll try this place again. I really wish they would add some other ingredient options. This was my first meal of the day and I was looking forward too it. The servers need to improve their customer service and people skills. There was no warm greeting nor patience during the sandwich assembly process. They displayed negative body language, argumentative responses, and were not accommodating when specific requests were made. They kept repeating the same mistakes without apologizing and became very defensive. The last straw was when they refused to give me new bread when they mistakenly put mayonnaise, after being told to put the mayo on the sides, i.e. keep the bread dry. I have witnessed this unfriendly, poor customer service multiple times. I will never return to this Jersey Mikes's location again. I walk in and same thing the lettuce is down to nothing and when it's like that it's GROSS the meat cutter had piles of meat under it. It was disgusting. Looked like it had not been cleaned all day. I called them and asked if someone would be able to meet me outside of my car which was parked right infront of the store and hand me my order. They said I'm sorry we cannot help you! I've been coming to this location off and on for several years and the people were always really nice and never felt rushed to order my sandwiches and get out. There wasn't anyone else in the place except me and I forgot to ask the young woman to have Swiss cheese on my #7 instead of provolone, when I asked she immediately began shaking her head as if I'd just ruined her whole day. I'd also forgot to ask for "Mikes Way" which normally the guys always ask me. That's what makes the sandwiches unique. Jersey Mike's, a.k.a. the better subway. I'm really not going anywhere else for my Philly cheesesteak needs as you can see in my picture there's no reason to go elsewhere. Hands down my favorite sandwich is the big kahuna with the chipotle mayo sauce. If you want to go a little different you can ask them to put some lettuce in the end or add some of your favorite chips inside but I do recommend trying it as is before you do all that. This sandwich is so creamy and delicious. I will say it depends on timing and location how well it's made since this is a chain store but feel free to let them know just how you like it. read more

I love this place. Subs are always on point and to the tee on what I want. Came in the other day because I got an email for an $1 off when I buy a reg sub with drink. When I was rung up to pay I forgot to show my email and get it scanned. The young lady who was the supervisor at the moment said it's to late and to use it next time. I said well it expires with in 2 days so I need to use it. She took her gloves off and rolled her eyes and exhales with frustration. Look, I get how it is working in the customer service industry it's very frustrating. I can see if I was being rude but just totally forgot to add my email to my purchase. I didn't need the extra eye roll and sassiness everybody is very friendly and smiling. I even put that $1 in the tips. My recommendation? Stay away from the Encino Jersey Mike's. I have been a Jersey Mike's customer since approximately 2007. That's a lot of dedication to a brand. That ends here. The Encino location is unfortunately run by horribly untrained young people who are given far too much autonomy, and are not in any manner governed by principles of customer service or decency. Specifically, I went in recently after receiving an internet / delivery order simply to ask that they refund about $4.00, because although I ordered and paid for double meat, my sandwich didn't have double meat put into it. I was confronted by a rude young lady (clear rimmed glasses, dirty blonde hair, and shorter - perhaps 5'2"), who refused to help me until after taking the orders of people behind me. Because this was the second time the same thing had happened (a double meat failure), and because on the prior occasion I was simply refunded, I believed this trip in would be quick and easy. Not so. The young lady raised her voice at me repeatedly when I declined to get out of line, she threw change at the 68 year old lady in front of me, and at once point came out from behind the counter to yell at me that I needed to wait, and came within just a few feet of me, apparently for effect. When I asked for a manager, another young lady came out of the back, but would not confirm that she was a manager. After asking her at least three (3) times to please get a manager, she too began raising her voice at me. I asked for her name and the name of the first young lady, and each refused to provide their names. Soon thereafter a young man came out of the back room, stating that he was a manager. Upon clarification, it turned out he was not in fact a manager, but was only a shift manager. He would not tell me the name of the manager, nor would he tell me whether the manager was male or female. That said, I now had three (3) young people behind the counter staring at me - a young man in the middle without a clue how to handle the situation, and a young lady on either side of him leaning over the counter, yelling at me and the 68 year old woman in front of me in line, who had told each of them they were being discourteous and rude. One of the young ladies even had the temerity to say to me "I don't have to respect you - you're not my dad!" All of the above would have been merely a point of frustration that led me not to return, but it was what followed that earned this Encino Jersey Mike's location a single star. The treatment that day was so atrocious that both I and the 68 year old customer in front of me independently looked into when the manager would be present, and independently came to the location on Sunday morning to speak with him. I only had to drive 10 minutes to get there - the 68 year old lady, however, drove 25 miles to make her compliant to the manager - she had been treated that poorly and it was that important to her. Upon arrival, we learned that the manager was about 25 years old. He stood with us, took notes, acted appalled, and told us he would have the owner of the location call each of us. Unfortunately the owner never did. Instead, the owner had her "assistant" call me. He apologized, told me the owner of this particular location is "probably too forgiving of the employees," and indicated there was nothing he could do, other than pass my concerns on to the owner. Despite the manager talking with me and presumably passing on my concerns, and despite the assistant doing the same, the owner of this location never bothered to call. The fact is that this location has abysmal reviews going back to 2017, most of which pertain to the rudeness and lack of care of the young employees working there. I am writing this review to let potential customers know that the place clearly has not changed, and that the ownership is clearly not concerned about its customers in the least. So be it - you can't run a business like this for very long without running it into the ground. read more

An unusually large line since Chipotle closed but that is to be expected. After ordering my #6 which is my fav, I see that there was 2... yes 2 slices of roast beef on the bread. When I asked if she could add more meat she gave me an attitude and said sure for an extra cost. Really... 2 slices of meat is all my $6 sandwich received. I said yes and continued through the line. Not only was the extra slice of meat $1.85 which is not the point, at the end of it all my sandwich still looked sad.
