This is my favorite sandwich shop and I usually get my sandwiches at this location, because the lines are usually not long, the workers are nice, and they make the sandwiches fairly quickly. Always plenty of parking in the lot and plenty of tables to dine in. read more

I have heard about the Jersey Mike's chain for years on a podcast I listen to and I was so excited there was finally one here. As far as fast food goes, I couldn't ask for more. Everything is always so fresh and is 10000x better than subway for the same price. There is a great online ordering system via the website if you don't feel like talking to anyone (we all have those days) where you can pre-pay if you are in a hurry. There are also a lot of customization options to get exactly what you want and they also have a bunch of different sizes from mini, if you arnt too hungry, to giant, which is no joke on the size. The staff is always nice and very quick. This is my goto for a quick delicious lunch that even impressed my super picky dad. read more

Mike's makes a very good sub. I had an italian, Mike's way, and it was very tasty. Bread was good, meats sliced fresh, with just your basic produce (lettuce, tomato, onion). I requested pickles and peppers also. They sloshed a shocking amount of vinegar and oil on it, but it did not turn out soggy or over saturated. All-in-all, I thought the sub was very close to Blimpie's in style and quality. Service was very good, too. Price is a little high, but not outrageous. Subway offers a little more choice in produce and a lower price, but the quality doesn't approach Mike's. But I think Togo's make a better sub overall (bread, meats, cheeses, produce) read more

Really struggled about writing this review, but after my second experience with to go ordering, I feel like it is warranted. The first time I placed a catering order in person. I ordered 3 large catering boxes of sandwiches for a sporting event. I requested pickup at 10:00am, as I needed to be at the game by 11:00 (with food) in Concord. When my husband and I came in at 10:00, they were still making our sandwiches and we didn't leave with our food until 10:40. Needless to say, we were late to our game. The second time I thought I would order online, thinking that this may be more efficient. I ordered 8 regular sandwiches for pick-up at 11:00, for a high school sporting event. When I came in to pick up the order at 12:00, again our sandwiches were not ready. Two sandwiches were still being made. I left Jersey Mikes at 12:15 (and hour and 15 minutes after my requested pick up time). Moving forward, if I place a togo order again, I need to plan on not receiving my food at the time requested, and to set a pick up time which allows me a lot of wiggle room, so I don't miss future sporting events. read more

2nd negative review despite loving the product and meeting Peter Cranco (founder) in Point Pleasant NJ. They made a giant 13 for me and my two young and hungry sons were salivating. But when I got to the register they would not take a $100 bill which I just got from Fremont Bank next door after losing my wallet earlier at the gas station and thus no credit cards. Many patrons offered to pay for my sandwich but I declined the nice gesture and went to Subway instead and they gladly accepted legal US tender. If they are not going to take $100 bills, they should post it. And given a $100 bill is like a $20 in 1980 dollar terms, they should take them and figure out how to identify counterfeits. It is not that hard. I take them in my 4 restaurants. I think I have to say 2 strikes and you are out. Sad for a place I went to 3-4 times per month and love the product. I am really hoping to be contacted by the owner of this location regarding some of his/her employees. The last two times we have been here we have been treated like we were bothering the employees. Today the employees didn't even greet us, even when I made eye contact with the guy to let him know we were ready to order. He just blank stared at us with a "get lost" look on his face. I should have known then to just leave, but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and understand that everyone has bad days. He was bothered that he had to turn around and get a loaf of bread, then proceeded to cut himself on the meat slicer and just stared at me like it was my fault. I wasn't sure what was going on at first, then he came back and I realized what happened. I was so upset at how rude all 3 of the employees were that I didn't think to mention that the meat slicer wasn't even sanitized after he cut himself. He came back with it bandaged. The other girl just kept slicing the meats and cheeses for my sandwich. As I was driving home I realized how unsanitary that was and also was fuming at what a jerk he was from beginning to end of our order and transaction. I want my money back! I am keeping this sandwich, chips and drink (untouched) and want to return it for a full refund! I'd also like to speak with the owner or person in charge. Last time we were here another employee completely ignored us because he was too busy talking about college bands with a band director and was also super rude and bothered by our need to place an order. I walked into this location, being my first visit to A Jersey Mikes Subs, I was skeptical. The deli specialist Josh made one amazing sandwich. This guys work ethic is through the roof, I've never seen anyone more enthusiastic to do anything. Memorized the order and the 5 others behind me and proceeded to make a sandwich in record time. This is the caliber of employee I would want working at my establishment. On to the food...the sandwich was delicious. I said no to oil and vinegar but I think next time I would because it would add to the sandwich in a positive way. My co workers got some Philly style cheesesteak subs that were melty cheesy spicy and better than the cheesesteak place down the street. I opted for a safe provolone and roast beef. They cut the cheese and beef right in front of you and it's deli quality. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something better than subway, less expensive than a super market deli but at the same quality. read more

I had seen these guys on Food Network. The product looked great and I was happy they were comining into the area. My wife and I decided to try them. She did not see anything on the menu that she wanted so she asked if they could make a basic Salami and Provolone. It went downhill from there. The Sandwich Maker cut 3 pieces of cheese so thin that you could read though them and cut a whole 6 slices of very thin salami.(Probably less than 2oz of meat) This was followed up by a big handful of shredded lettuce and few tomatoes and she asked for pickles and they had to take the sandwich out of the wrapper to put them on. My Wife-Not a happy person. I had the #17 the Philly Cheese steak. The meat cheese and peppers we OK but the portion seems light compared to the size of the roll. Lot of bread not so much meat. Also no condiments (Hot Sauce,ect) If you go to Pat's or Gino's in Philly a cheesesteak cost $4.69 there is so much meat it is hard to finish it. Needless to say it was a waste of $20.00 read more

This was my first visit, everything they were making looked delicious so I was VERY excited as I am a HUGE food freak. I got a Big Kahuna Chicken Cheese steak sandwich and there were 4 other sandwiches ordered with my party. Mine came almost ten minutes after everyone else's which was crazy given there was ONE person in front of us when we were in line. Opened my sandwich and the chicken was lukewarm and the cheese slices were barely melted. I had no time to reorder because we were in a hurry so I had to just eat it as is. I really appreciated the service that I received on Wednesday from the young man who assisted me. Not only did he great me, but kindly took my order, mentioned that he was going to change his gloves, but washed them first and preceded to prepare my sandwich. This was a big change from the last time that I visited this location. The gentlemen touched his hat, rubbed his pants, and that was while I was standing there. Not once did he offer to take his gloves off before preceding to assist me and other customers. With e-coli and other stuff going around, you would have thought that he should have known better. Won't every be back . Went in a little while after they opened. The Diet Coke was out. Meaning it wasn't checked before it was open. Asked if it could be changed. One of guys working there just mumbling under his breath. I assumed he heard. Waited five minutes and asked again and he rudely said ... yeah after I get done making the sandwiches. Which was fine. No one else was In the store so I was fine with waiting . Our sandwiches came out and I assumed one of them, ( as there were three workers... two of which were standing around doing nothing)would change it. So I asked a third time. They said they would change it after they got the sandwiches done. Meaning after everyone else that came in after us. I said can we just have our money back as I felt it was ridiculous to have to wait . One worker decided she would change it. Took less than one minute to do. There were three workers not sure why it took three times. On top of that one sandwich was mad wrong and when we asked to have it remade they just stared at us . A few minutes later they remade. Rude poor customer service very with workers who are beyond lazy and care more about standing around them working. Won't ever be back. read more

We've tried the Italian, cheese steak, chipotle cheese steak and the turkey and provolone. They shred the lettuce and onions they put on their sandwiches. They have all of the correct bologna and cheeses.They build the sandwich the way I ask them to without any question. So, we have never had a bad sandwich here. The problem here is Austin G. He is the "manager." I should mention that the only reason I know his last name is because he provided it to me - without my asking. We literally drive to Pleasanton all the way from Oakland just to go to this Jersey Mike's. We have done this many, many times; most of the staff even know us, and they have all been friendly and polite. Except Austin. We first encountered Austin Gray a few months ago, had a very bad experience with him, and since then every time I go, I hope and pray that he is not there. The other day, he was. GROAN. And sure enough, once again, he was horribly rude. What is it with this guy??? Is he just mad at life? Hates his job? Hates people? Hates breathing? Hoping for a conflict so he can exert his "power" and flex his "big, bad, manager" muscle?? He seems to be such a very angry, angry man, and it is reflected in how he treats the customers and employees. I first discovered Jersey Mike's when I was living in LA, so I have been to 8 different Jersey Mike's locations. He is the only staff member I have encountered at any location (including this one) who insists on charging extra for substitutions, and he is also by far the rudest staff member. He was barking at the employees, slamming cabinet doors, throwing napkins at the employee to put in my bag, yelling across the restaurant. When I asked him a question about the food, he snapped, "NO!" and began fervently shaking his head and rolling his eyes as if he was just so put upon and annoyed. WTH? What did I ever do to you? The employee asked him a simple question about my order, and again, he acted incredibly vexed and angry. Seriously, going and coming from Oakland in traffic takes about an hour and a half. To travel this far only to be treated so disdainfully and disrespectfully is extremely upsetting. We probably pass 100 sandwich shops en route to this location. I truly do not appreciate being treated so disrespectfully. Our money and our time can easily be spent elsewhere. His behavior actually spoils our lunch, which makes the trip pointless. My previous review was "removed" because I didn't provide enough "detail". I really don't think the owners want me to provide more detail because i have not had good experiences and it won't be good for them. Been here several times. The so-called manager "Austin " is a real jerk. It seems like Jersey Mikes is the last place on earth where this dude wants to be. It is not your customers fault that you hate your job. Don't take it out on them. The sandwiches are so-so. Most times they get them way too soggy, making the bread wet. In general we have found most of the rest of the staff to be pretty unprofessional and immature, which is why we always eat in the car instead of in the restaurant. We seriously do not care to listen to their joking and laughing and fooling around. Then they disappear into the back for long periods of time, leaving the front un-manned (which of course is when I realize I need more mayo), and you can still hear their howls of laughter. While they are friendly with each other, they seem to hate the customers. They do not greet you, and they look at you as if they are annoyed that you are interrupting their good time by ordering a sandwich. At a. Sandwich. Shop. The times I have been to the bathroom it is unclean, and in general, the tables and the floors under the tables are not clean enough for us. There have also been a couple of times when they have had to re-make our sandwiches because they got the order wrong. They can't seem to keep the right bread or size or meat in. Their. Heads.
