I can't complain about a thing. Cozy spot but the hot chicken is on point! The special fries are ohhk. The top was more burnt than Smokey but the fries were still really good. I recommend Checking In with Yelp to the Agua Fresca free for first visit. I had the melon and didn't care for it but it was free, so no complaints. Maybe it wasn't cold enough it just didn't hit home. But did I mention how bomb the hot chicken is? I prefer to be gluten free but I had to go full sandwich. Yeah this was fire... felt like trying some different outside of my typical chicken options (daybird, le coupe). This was honestly super delicious. Chicken was really really crispy with a good amount of meat. Got the 3 piece tender meal (spicy) with half rice half salad. Tenders weren't spicy at all, like a 4/10 on spice level. Great! I've been here a total of 3 times this week, with my boyfriend. I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT MY CAULIFLOWER SAMMIE FROM JESSE BOY!! Oh god, their fried cauliflower sandwich is out of this world!!! I've never had anything better than this. For about $9-$10 including tax, you can get a whole cauliflower sandwich with one side, either French fries, Jasmine rice (WHICH I RECOMMEND, they put this sweet black sauce on the rice that makes it even more delicious) or if you'd like, you can choose their salad with their own homemade salad dressing (WHICH IS AMAZING as well) I probably almost had everything on their menu and have become a regular. I crave their cauliflower sandwich almost every week, NO JOKE lol. I've never really liked cauliflower to begin with NOT UNTIL I HAD Jesse Boy. Yes, It is that amazing! Their chicken sandwich is also yummy if you don't like cauliflower. You can also get 3 chicken tenders/chicken wings. I also want to include that their staff is amazing! All of the staff here pretty much have great customer service! It is obvious that the owners take care of their employees. I come here often and I've never experienced bad customer service from any of the staff. The only con I would say is the space, it's quite small so if you go during rush hour, you'll probably won't have anywhere to sit so keep that in mind. Also, they don't have a restroom for their customers however you can use Starbucks' restroom which is located next door. Other than that, nothing to complain. Delicious Korean Fried Chicken! We ordered the tenders and the wings (and got a little sample of the cauliflower). The tenders were pretty good, but the wings and the cauliflower stole the show! I think their "spicy" could've used a little more kick, but the crispness and the flavors of the food were good. Side dishes were also very good (rice and French fries). Interior decor and ambiance was nice and welcoming. Wishing the super friendly owner and staff much success in their new endeavor! Love this place. They don't have a big menu, basically just chicken or cauliflower with a couple of different sides but everything is very tasty. The rice bowls come with a nice salad on top and the they season the rice with some kind of delicious sauce. It's hard to decide between the fried chicken sandwich and the cauliflower sandwich. they are both really good. Fried to perfection and still juicy, the cole slaw adds a nice crunch and flavor too. If you check in on Yelp you get a free agua fresca. Woo Hoo!!! They had strawberry and watermelon the night we went. They were both yummy and refreshing. The chef (and maybe owner?) is super nice too! The place is pretty casual, probably more of a take out place. I think this might be my new place to grab food during Hollywood bowl season! read more

*COVID REVIEW* DUDE I did not have high expectations but DANG the chicken was good. I called in an order to pick up an hour and a half later, and they had it ready for me when I came. Everyone was masked and friendly, and I took the chicken to go. I drove about 45 minutes home, so I expected the chicken to be sad and soggy by the time I arrived. NOT SO, FRIENDS! Ok so I did what I thought I would never do. I tried "cauliflower fried chicken" that everyone's been trying to sell at different vegan restaurants. I ordered it off of the Jesse Boy menu as a part of a rice bowl. I got the cauliflower cooked spicy and though it was flavorful, cauliflower is still just cauliflower and also devoid of any protein. Now if Jesse Boy used a vegan protein to make their fried "chicken" and combined it with their sauces and spices, that would be a true WINNER. read more

Been here twice in one week and I just discovered the place 4 days ago. Very flavorful and VERY filling. Both times I got the tenders w/ fries and the aioli on the side. Both times I shared the plate with someone because it's truly entirely too much food for one person. Docked a star because the tender size is wildly inconsistent. The first time it was like I got the arms of 2 year olds as my tenders. The second time they were easily 1/3 of the size of what I had previously. Still good. Just not nearly as much of a 'deal' as it felt the first time. The fries are many but the crunch to potato ratio is off. They're very crunchy not so potato-y. Decent but not crave worthy. read more

My main problem with this place is the chicken and that's the signature item. The chicken strips are huge! Each strip was thick, which normally wouldn't be a complaint, but both the times I've been here, the chicken has been tough to cut/bite and ends up stringy. Not really moist. The flavor of the chicken coating was pretty good, but ended up being kinda one note. It was hard to even eat more than 2 strips. The fries offered a little relief with some ketchup, but they were super salty too. Texture of the fries were good. The first time I was here, I ordered the spicy strips and it was WAYYYYY too spicy. Not just the heat, but the amount. One coke wasn't enough to wash down the taste of this food, on either occasion. Service was very good and the cashier was nice. I felt like eating vegetarian but wasn't up to tackling 1/2-lb of fried cauliflower wings. Yelper's appeared to be pic-crazed on the chicken wings... And I saw the Slider signage. The chicken slider's in a test phase. I was told it was like a chicken sandwich and only needed to order 1 slider with a side. So I did and added a drink. I didn't think about looking for a Yelp CheckIn Special. I just saw that JesseBoy has a free agua fresca with Yelp Order CheckIn. Anyways, I ate my meal two hours later. The salad was excellent. I loved the salad but not enough radish. I was sold to order it because of the radish and dressing. As for the slider, it was made with only one chicken tender, instead of two tenders (one sandwich/slider recommend). A tasty sandwich that was half empty. The chicken was like a crunch honey garlic tender sandwiched in a regular-sized brioche bun with purple slaw and had a very spicy, but creamy mayo. Plenty heat packed in there... Last week I finally got around to trying this place out. I was not disappointed. It was so good that I came back a couple days later. Initial impression: The strip mall they're located in is a little bit run down and seems to be having some construction work done but with a Starbucks opening up soon and the mixed use places up on Vine near De Longpre are on their way to finishing getting built this area should see a nice bump. Right now the restaurant already looks like it's ready for that. When you walk up to the door the place looks sharp and clean. The seating space is a little tight but most of the people coming in were picking up orders or taking out so it was all good when I was dining there. Parking: The restaurant shares a parking lot with a number of other business. When I came here for dinner on the weekend and during the weekday, I had no problem finding a spot. I think when the Starbucks opens up that could change. Food: The first time around I ordered I got the Korean fried chicken with a side of Jasmine rice. You get an option for original or spicy but since it was my first time I wanted to try the original first. With that dish you get three good sized pieces of chicken tenders that were perfectly seasoned. For a $10 meal was a great value! On my second trip I ordered the Korean fried cauliflower and they were just as delicious as the chicken. I only wished that the portion was larger but fortunately for me I was having dinner with my wife and she doesn't eat as much and ordered the chicken so we split the cauliflower and she gave me a couple of the tenders. Win win. Conclusion: This place is on my list of go to's for a tasty and moderately priced meal. In the future I would probably do a take out order because I like having my space when eating and things were a little cramped for me and I don't think they had a bathroom for customers since there's just a counter to order and then right behind you see the kitchen operation. Amazing! I'm writing this after gorging my me Gotta get the spicy chicken tenders, it's a family Korean recipe and it's delicious. Make sure you squeeze the lemon on it for full effect. You may even want to ask for a second lemon. I got mine to go but there are plenty of seats available and the place is well maintained and clean. The chicken was well done with great flavoring. I got one orders and I was stuffed the size is fair and I'm a big eater. No sauce needed for this one, thats when you know it's good. Today's agua Fresca was mango and it complemented my meal. The drink was not too sweat. Jesse helped me out at the register and he was really helpful and on point. Definitely coming back here. I've been to a few yelp events that had Jesse boy and it was always super good so I eventually came into the shop to try other things. My gf ordered the Korean chicken sandwich and so did I. We also got the messy Jesse fries (cool name btw). As we were waiting, they informed us they only had one sandwich left and that we can substitute with something else. No big deal. So we chose the chicken tenders with rice. The tenders were kind of chewy, however the taste was delicious. The seasoning or sauce they use is bomb, however I think it might've been overcooked, which gave it the chewy texture. The chicken sandwich was good as well, but there was more bread than chicken. I was going to split it with my gf but when we cut into it, she got all bread. Not sure if it's usually like that or if they just ran out of chicken that day. The fries were the best part. So cheesy and full of seasoning and garlic. Fries were crisp and just perfect! Parking right in the front is free! That's a plus. Chicken is where it's at!! If you're a big fan of Korean style chicken (crisp central) make sure to try them out. The menu has a whole variety of salads and appetizers and combos that include three piece / two piece / whole chicken / wraps /sandwiches it's amazing. This place serves a veggie substitute for Korean fried chicken! Mind blown. We were looking for a mid-afternoon snack since we had dinner plans, and this was exactly what we were looking for. The menu is small. You have a choice of Korean fried chicken wings, Korean fried chicken tenders, or Korean fried cauliflower. You can also get a combo and add on the cauliflower, which is what we did. The sauce on the chicken is pretty good, and I really enjoyed their sesame salad. Still giving this place a high review but my first impression is kinda sad so far. Arrived at 9:20 and wanted to use the yelp check in for the free aqua frescas, but they ran out. Can't be mad I wanted to get it for free. Another selling point of coming here was because I wanted to have some rice for dinner tonight, but their rice maker wasn't working. After I already paid for my meal, I had to add another $1.20 to change it into something else. I'll update on what I get and how I feel about it. He recommended it. Everyone was really friendly and they're still quite new so I'll cut them some slack. The food was quite disappointing but seeing as I'm basically the only low-star review amongst a sea of 5-stars maybe it was an off night. We got the chicken tenders with fries. The fries were quite bland. I ate maybe five, which is rare because I love fries. Glad I shared a plate with my boyfriend instead of getting my own. The tenders were more breading than chicken and the chicken was dry. We got the spicy chicken but it wasn't spicy, like at all. They did say they're planning to have secret diablo level spicy eventually, but for now, if you're trying to get your spice fix, this isn't the right place. read more
