My family and I absolutely love this place. It's my 2nd favorite hot chicken place in LA. I always get the spicy tenders with the spicy oil and their other sauce. This place has such a unique flavor compared to other chicken places i've tried. I love the spices they use and just the overall meal. My only two complaints would be the fries could be better and I wish there was more seating available to eat there. It's a pretty small location though, so I hope they expand someday. Not gana lie I was not going to leave a review but idk if it's the lack of space or the fact that they're getting busier but the quality of the food is horrible. When I first had it, it was amazing but now the food looks horrible. Not only did I have to wait about 45 minutes but the food came out like if the food was thrown together. I don't usually write reviews, but hands down the freshest, juiciest, most perfectly fried chicken tenders I've ever had. This has become my go to spot for take out, and they've never disappointed. The staff is also very friendly and polite every time I come in. You seriously need to give this place a try. A couple of tips: 1) call ahead for your order. Since they make everything fresh to order, you'll wait about 10 minutes, and there's very little space to wait around. 2) opt for the side salad - it's very fresh, and the dressing (I order on the side) is great. Also, I don't think the fries are anything special 3) I regularly order the three chicken tenders on the menu, but you can add a fourth for a nominal charge. I think it's great that Jesse Boy provides vegetarian alternatives to the Korean fried chicken craze. As someone who loves meat, fried cauliflower also sounds really delicious. I ordered a plate and it was very flavorful. We got it delivered and it was already soggy, but there was a bit of crunch from the inner layer. It came with pickled radish on the side (not pictured) and the fries. They fries were okay, they were soggy without much flavor. Not sure what that lemon's doing there, I don't think the the food needs it, especially since the chicken is already flavored with ponzu. read more

I went with the Spicy sauce which the person working the front told me was basically just a spicier version of the JB sauce. The sesame salad dressing went great with the veggies on top and did a good job of balancing out the chicken and rice. I think I could have done with a little more of the aioli with the chicken but overall it was a very tasty meal. My colleagues were ranting and raving about how good Jesse Boy fried chicken is. They hyped up on how the restaurant served whole wings and even though they were pricey it was worth it. We were driving from San Diego to Los Angeles so I ordered online using the Yelp app. I ordered the Three Korean Chicken Wings with a side of Jasmine Rice. When I arrived my order was ready for pick up. The quick interactions with the staff were kind and friendly. When I opened the brown paper bag I saw a folded brown Chinese takeout box inside. Inside the compartment laid a bed of Jasmine rice and three whole chicken wings garnished with sesame seeds, green onion, cilantro, and radishes. Initially I thought this was not a lot of food for $15.00. The wings were normal size and seasoned well. In general I have high expectations for Jasmine rice so their rice did not impress me. Accompanying the entree was what I believe was a spicy mayo dip, ponzu sauce, and pickled radishes. It was a good and tasty fried chicken entree. First time trying Jesse Boy and I have zero complaints! I ordered the Korean fried chicken sandwich with fries and a side of the vegan fried cauliflower. Everything was super tasty and crisped to perfection. On top of that, the watermelon agua fresca was amazingly refreshing. Even the aioli was yummy for dipping! They do get really busy so if you get their voicemail, place an online order through their website. The buns are light and fluffy. Theres q slaw that compliments the two and combats the spiciness. The Korean chicken wing wars are on!!!! Jesse Boy has a very simple menu: wings, tenders, or cauliflower. Spicy or classic. I tried it all. Honestly, the cauliflower is the real champ here. Especially if you get the non-vegan option. They taste like chicken! The wings are spectacular. And the tenders are unlike any I've had before--each one is as large as a chicken breast! So I stumbled upon this place and ordered the Korean Fried Cauli Biggie Sliders and fries with the House Ponzu Sauce. I've had fried cauliflower before and was not a fan but I figured I give this a try! I took one bite and BRUH!!!! Let me tell you!! It was beyond good!! Absolute tasty! If this is what going vegetarian means, then I think I can do this! The cauliflower was fried to perfection and was very crispy. I don't know what sauce they put on the slider but it mixed so well with the other flavors of the sandwich! The House Ponzu sauce was perfect with the fries! Those Fried Cauli Sliders made my day!!! I'm giving Jesse boy a tentative 5-stars as I haven't actually been to the location--but have had their food and am looking forward to going out of my way to go! With how friendly the manager/owner I met is, I have no doubts it's a place with great energy. I only wish I could remember the gents name, but he was very lovely, and super helpful. He had all kinds of detailed information for both me, a somewhat vegan, and my friend who is gluten-free. Apparently there is a "secret item" menu for vegans. It's a citrus salad of sorts that I haven't tried yet but eager to. He let us know that the vegan food is prepared on entirely separate grills and they take special care to ensure there is no cross over contamination. One Saturday, I was starving and did not know what or where I wanted to eat (constant struggle for me, someone who eats anything). Then, I browsed through my to try list and remembered placing Jesse Boy in there. I decided to drive to Jesse Boy, with the idea of finally trying Korean Chicken Wings and Fries. Upon my arrival, I decided to try another meal from the menu - Fried Chicken Bowl (which comes with rice, salad, and their famous chicken). The salad was tasty and the chicken was moist and juicy but wish there were more of them on my bowl. I've eaten food from here a good amount of times. I like the menu but I think they have inconsistency issues. I really wanted to like the food as a Korean, but I just want to leave an honest review and hopefully they will listen. Sometimes the chicken tenders are juicy, but then on other days it is on the dry side. The last two times I've eaten here I was disappointed. Everything comes assembled so the sliders are drenched in a wet dripping coleslaw. It used to be packed separately so you can assembly it yourself. And now this most recent order they only put one pickle on each of my sliders when it used to more on it. I don't think I'll be ordering from here again unfortunately. I was craving crispy cauliflower, and decided to come here instead of Veggie Grill. Omgggg, let me tell you, it's just as scrumptious!! But I have to say, they give you more for your buck. I asked for an extra 1/2 order of cauliflower, and they definitely delivered. There was so much of it. All for ~13.50. Only caveats to this experience were: 1. They forgot to include the garlic aioli (am I supposed to request for it? Sweet soy sauce was included in the bag..). 2. They didn't put my rice to the side, like I requested. 3. Not only does the customer service SUCK, but the food is chewy. Honestly came back after my first terrible experience to give them a second try... , only to have a server yell at me. I got the chicken tenders spicy and it was perffection!! The chicken was so juicy and crunchy at the same time! And the sauce they add on top it makes it better! They add sesames in top and radishes which everything on your plate is there for a reason! The fries are so crispy and good! But next time I want to try it with the white rice! The menu is simple and easy not complicated at all. Either you want chicken tenders or vegan cauliflower. They also have salads and sandwiches!
