Randomly found this place while going to CVS. We got the Yellowtail belly carpaccio was so fresh and big portions. Mango crunch roll , garlic tuna, miso soup and salmon nigiri all were amazingly fresh and good portions. Top 3 fav sushi's I've ever had. It's up there with the fresh sushi in Hawaii. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. 10/10 we will definitely be coming back.

Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Walked in on a Tuesday around 6:30 and was promptly seated. The waitress was kind and provided quick service. We got one dinner special with california roll and tonkatsu. Wowow the tonkatsu sauce was great! The lion king was fantastic with great flavors and well cooked.

Came here for lunch, and had a few sushi rolls. The service, ambience and menu was excellent. The food was great! The only thing I didn't like was that the rolls were falling apart when we tried to eat them and it was messy. I had to use a fork to get the food in my mouth. I always enjoy using chop sticks, but this would have taken me all day. That said, the flavors were great and it was really lovely.

It's been about a year and a half since I've been to this restaurant and it used to be my favorite when I was in the area. I was very excited to be in the area and to try it again but I was pretty disappointed with the visit and with all of the changes. It was 8 pm on a friday night so the restaurant was understandably busy so I was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away unfortunately the table was not wiped down. The server did take care of it as soon as she noticed. The service was fast and friendly. The disappointing part was the food and prices. Understandable that prices has gone up just like everywhere else, but it was sad to see that they got smaller. The food still tasted great but it was hard to justify with the increased cost and smaller portions.

Red plastic cups. The server pushing gray dish tubs. Soda cooler on entry. $40 for chicken teriyaki.

I feel completely deceived by Yelp. What is appears as a small casual sushi bistro - red plastic cups and sports on TV - is an eye poppingly expensive sushi menu that is all over the place. The interior is -funky- and frankly I couldn't bear to spend 20 - 30 bucks for flashy rolls stuffed with tempura and doused in sweet sauce, so I can't fairly comment on the quality of the fish. I highly recommend you check the menu - and compare it to the other fancy fish shops near by - before you commit. The service is fine for casual dining. I must be missing something with the stellar reviews. The dish busing station greets you at the door. Oh and there's a cute robot.

The sushi was okay, I would rate it about a 7 out of 10. We ordered two rolls, the shrimp tempura and the Philadelphia roll. Personally, I felt the rolls were a bit small for the price compared to other sushi spots. The waiter was very sweet, but they definitely need more staff. The place was not very packed, yet the waiter seemed overwhelmed and occasionally forgot which tables the rolls were going to. Our personal favorite was the shrimp tempura roll.

Joyce's served superior sushi, without a doubt. But I took a star off for price, which is insane. When you see billboards along the highway you realize how they're paying for those! And another star for shoving Christian religion down diners' throats. I resent anyone pushing any religion in a restaurant, but especially surprised to see scripture verses on a Japanese menu. It's a turnoff for me.

The food was delicious. The staff were all super welcoming! It's located where Mario's Italian restaurant used to be-- awesome vibes. We finally got to see the robot waitress yay!!

Was in the area for a couple of weeks visiting & this place was so good, I came here twice! The restaurant inside is very pretty & welcoming. The staff was very friendly & constantly came to check on us. The sushi was amazing. We shared 3 different rolls & each one was perfect. The fish was so fresh. One of the best sushi rolls I've had in a long time. My favorite roll was the firecracker! A must visit if in the Palm Springs area

Amazing food and service! Will definitely be back! Everything was awesome! Cute little robot delivering food was a great idea.

This meant Marilyns everywhere, including the waiters, which made the experience that much more fun. Aside from that, we had made reservations ahead of time thankfully, because it was BUSY. But we were sat just as soon as we had arrived, and despite it being very hot out at the time, they had a bunch of shaded spots with misting fans. The drinks were fantastic, including mine which was a zero-proof mocktail. We all ordered different chicken dishes, and each one received high praise. I was able to try each of them and I was very happy with my fajitas, but I gotta give the nachos their dues. They were just as good. Chips were crispy all the way through, and not one was soggy from all the ingredients. Loved it, will definitely be back when I visit again. Id also like to mention that we chose this place as my friend's Bachelor Party closing dinner, and he couldn't have been happier. He was so thrilled with how the weekend had gone, that dining at Clandestino's really was the cherry on top. Thank you for making our dining experience such a pleasant one.

Management actually comped our flights, which was such a nice touch! We sat outside and honestly it was perfect. They have misting fans going, so even with that Palm Springs heat, you really don't feel it fr . I was also pleasantly surprised that flies weren't really an issue. We wanted to grab a drink at the Window Bar (not knowing that was its actual name, but the conversation we had with the bartender about that window shining too much light at certain parts of the morning definitely gave me a chuckle in hindsight). We happened to be a bit early since he had not been able to finish setting up shop yet. We went ahead and waited until he was ready without rushing him because we ourselves weren't in any rush at all. Surrounded by a ton of nice interesting artwork, it was a pure joy to enjoy a drink or two in this environment. The bar can be found at the corner on the other side of the hotel concierge in plain sight from such a big space for a lobby, directly left upon entrance through the front. Since it was slow in the morning, we were able to chat it up with the bartender and even explore a bit of experimentation in the form of a particular top secret cocktail that every mixologist knows. Well this one, located in the Arena area of Palm Springs. Theres no name or signs anywhere. You just have to know where to look. Try opening doors and see which one opens. We were walking back to the car when I noticed the doors. As l had heard so much about it but didn't know where it was. Well lucky me, I opened the door with the first try. I had an idea on where it was but didn't know where. That's where the 4 stars come in. As I had the door open, I could hear from the bar area a gentleman yelling out shut the door. Ok, I get the dark hidden concept but yelling out like that, kind of rude. Do you not want people in. It was about 11pm when we walked in. You enter and it's a dark hallway straight to the bar. That'll be what you see right when you walk in. Place is covered in a dark damask wallpaper and only light are small fixtures. So dark and demure. Bar area is the main attraction with all the seating. There's a few hi tops along the wall as well as some seating in the back area. I'm not sure how big the place is as we only went straight to the bar and sat down. The menu is printed to resemble vintage newspaper. The dark mysterious room with tufted seats and dim lights is what this place is all about. But of course you can't leave out the drinks. Centered of the bar wall, there's Udo Kier watching you. Anyways, down to the drinks. Printed on the newspaper was a perfect touch. I went with the pisco sour and we had the bartender make something else with mescal. An updated smoke and mirror I believe. Drinks were excellent which we expected. The whole place is really dark and mysterious which was a nice touch. It wasn't that busy when we arrived Friday night. A couple of people in the back area which we definitely could hear...lol... There was no list to get in as we just walked in. The only downfall with the rating, the rude remark when we walked in with shutting the door all the way from the bar area. Yes we heard it from outside. There were two bartenders working , but we did chat with one of them and she was a sweetheart. Informed us that they too will be closed down for the summer holiday but will be renovating. Places out here closes at least a month for summer holidays and with the slow season due to the heat. First impression of this place, besides the rude remark was we really liked it. The drinks were great and tasty. It's not super big but more intimate. Can get a little loud as people are talking over each other. Could be the alcohol.... It's someplace I would visit again with people who I know will appreciate it.

The bartender was super helpful and made me a "Smoke & Mirror" (mezcal base) is hands-down the very best cocktail EVER!!!!

If you didn't know better you'd think you were in LA in the summer, excepty for the bocce ball. They have an excellent selection of spirits, cocktails. Maybe a little varied, but decently creative. The only thing that gets me is pricing. Sure you pay for everything for decor, glassware and not just spritis, but I recall wondering how they price their drinks becuase not everything is equal or standard mark up when some things aren't house made it's easy to cost out becuase you stop paying for creativity after a certain point. It feels like they took alot of Mr. Lyons business model and use that for pricing rather than a sole entity with their own margins. The service makes up for it, the ambiance makes up for it. The crowd makes up for it. Far less wrinkled and aging snowbirds and retirees circling the drain in their waning days. People dressing up and celebrating, genuine convivialness abounds with most guests. It's not somewhere else trying bring that vibe here, it's pretty authentic. It's separate from nextdoor other than shared bathrooms, so don't be surprised when you feel like your in a different world. Most people who wander between the 2 take pause and awe for a few seconds before their mood shifts to match the room. Not a place to get sloppy and party that way unless it's a closed event. It's a great, classic PS lounge for when you have 2 groups of friends who you can entertain, the steakhouse crowd for dinner and the loungers beforehand. Sunsets on the patio under the string lights and couches is rich backyard summertime vibez.

Also Sunday brunch can never go wrong. Right in the heart of town along the main strip of downtown. Perfect for people watching while dining on the patio. Be advised, it does get hot but they do have both the main covered patio and street covered patio. Both with mister working the whole time. If you prefer ac, they have indoor dining as well. We like to enjoy the sun and people watching which patio is alway a good option for us. Of course we make friends with the waiter as they alway take care of us. Everyone here from the staff, waiter and waitress, and the owners are all very sweet and friendly. Menu is alway great. You have both the breakfast and brunch menu. We tend to come for them mainly but have never tried dinner here. Of course the bubbly is always a good start. A bottle with three juice options and fresh fruit for adornment. Strawberries and blueberries for the bougie bubbly effect. And for the price, it's worth it. Food wise, we went with the chicken sandwich with salad and the burger with fruit. A side of fries is definitely a must even if it comes with it. Portion for the sandwich was massive. Nice thick piece of grilled and marinaded chicken breast filled with lettuce, tomatoes, onion and avocados on toasted bread. It's massive even when they sliced it in halves. And the burger, two nice patties with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion and bacon. A classic and it was delicious. I'm not a burger person but every now and then a bite is worth it. The food has alway been excellent. Crowd is alway nice and bubbly. It's cute chit chatting with the other guest nearby. Also we found out that they close for about two months in July and August as that's their holiday time. Glad we made it before it happened. It's a nice place for brunch as it's alway our go to whenever we can't figure out something.

We had the strangest experience here. We were in town for a friends 40th and we had seen great…read morereviews about The Thirsty Palms. We walked up, no reservation. The lady at the door told us inside would probably be loud because there were two bigger tables in there. It was hot outside, so we decided to sit inside anyway. We almost immediately regretted that and wished we'd sat outside. This place is not made for being busy on the inside. It's just too loud. But, cute in there. Our server, who we later learned was the bartender and not a usual server, took our drink orders. A few of us ordered the Hugo spritz, one gal got a beer, and a few other cocktails were ordered. We got our drinks and they were enjoyable. The problem began when we were ordering food. One girl in our group is Celiac and literally can not eat gluten. She ordered the salmon and asked to be sure the potato salad was gluten free. If things are fried or prepared in the same place as gluten objects, she is incredibly ill for weeks afterwards. She has to be super careful. His response was, "I think so." She told him she was celiac and had a true gluten allergy, and she needed him to be sure. Meanwhile, the menu boasts about how they proudly serve gluten free options right on the bottom. He then said, "yeah, I'm pretty sure it is." He genuinely did not seem concerned. She ended up ordering it but felt uncomfortable about whether or not it was really safe for her. Another girl at the end of the table asked him to please double check, as it was really a serious allergy. He said, "Yeah I am going to ask the chef. I wasn't going to just ignore it and make all you girls mad." He had the snarkiest tone when he said it, and it was incredibly, incredibly rude. That right there gave us a bad taste in our mouths. He came back out and said he checked with the chef, and it was indeed gluten free. Food came out and all tasted good. But when a restaurant prides itself on gluten free options, and then makes it so hard to order, it's not a good look. We wouldn't be back.
