I truly love this restaurant. Recently I took my niece with me to try Filipino food and finally got to try their large beef soup. We ordered the lumpia's and pancit balabok and the beef soup. The service is so friendly. Always being there I feel like I have traveled to the Philippines. It does attract a lot of Filipinos. It is fun to watch them eating in groups and enjoying their meals. The food is so good! I will keep on returning!

This is Filipino food the way it's supposed to prepared and served! Absolutely delicious! The service was impeccable; friendly, courteous, and attentive at all times. Smaller settings like this add to the overall ambiance and enhance the dining experience. Mabuhay!

Food: I can't brag enough about this place. Best Filipino food in the city! Service: Always great service. Kind and friendly. Ambiance: Nice quaint place. Lots of character.

My Family came in from out of town and they wanted Filipino food. Admittedly, and embarrassing I haven't had the chance to try Filipino food because I didn't know what to really order. Thankfully my sister had experience in this department. The service was great. We were greeted immediately and with a party of six we were seated immediately. The decor is cute and cozy. We were able to cover all the proteins and dishes to try. The lumpia Shanghai and bbq pork sticks were super delicious and the dishes were all great while the sigigi was a bit too salty for my personal preference. It was still good, but I preferred the pork adobo a bit more me. The Oxtail was food but needed a bit more seasoning personally but it was still good. Especially the bok choy. The dessert to top off the evening was fantastic. The mari mari is definitely shareable for two or three people.

Food is delicious! It reminds me of my family's cooking. I like that the cost of a dish included rice. Prices for each dish were reasonable and their lunch menu is an amazing deal for a little bit of everything. The staff is friendly! I will definitely be back to try more of their items on the menu.

Kabayan Kusina was a lunch stop with someone and we ordered a pretty good variety... lumpia, pancit bihon, crispy pork belly roll, and pork BBQ sticks. The lumpia is made to order so it comes out hot and fresh. It's packed with seasoned ground beef and you can tell the difference. We got the pancit bihon with pork and the balance of protein and veggies was really good. We added their house made chili oil to the noodles and honestly that was the move. Nobody around town makes chili oil like that. The crispy pork belly roll was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, stuffed with herbs, garlic, and onion. The aromatics really enhance the dish and took it to the next level! The pork BBQ sticks were juicy and you could taste the marinade. The sauce leaned sweet but with everything else on the table it balanced out really well. This is a Filipino family owned and operated business and it shows. The staff is really friendly and you can tell they take pride in what they're serving. They also have a small selection of Filipino grocery and food items if you want to take something home. If you're on the northwest side of San Antonio, this place is worth the visit! TikTok: @gabbieinthegalley

My first restaurant in San Antonio! I wanted to find a restaurant that reminded me of home... and this was it! Their longsilog for breakfast was amazing. The longanisa was flavorful and I liked how there were some crispy edges. The garlic rice was good, and the runny yolk was good. I did wish the runny yolk had salt/pepper, but the vinegar helped. The employees were super nice, and I loved the homey vibe. Will definitely be back!!

I don't have Filipino food very often, so I wouldn't call myself an expert, but this spot was pretty good and unique. The milkfish was perfectly fried, super crispy. My absolute favorite part of the meal was the garlic rice. It was so aromatic, buttery, and addicting, it is honestly something I could eat on its own. My husband really enjoyed the sweet sausages too, they had that perfect balance of savory and sweet. The only dish I didn't love as much was the pancit, which was a bit too salty for my taste, but it was still nicely presented. Overall, the experience was great and the owner was so kind, attentive, and clearly takes pride in their food. The setting itself had such cute, casual vibes, making it a great place to grab a relaxed and comforting meal. I'd definitely love to come back and try some of their other dishes next time!

I walked in for dinner and left emotionally supported and very full! I met a new friend today and she mentioned Kabayan, I immediately b-lined it there. It feels so homey and welcoming! Lots of families and the waitresses were super sweet, informative and basically adopted my husband and I! We had great convos and even better food! We tried the Lumpia 4/5, the chicharon bualklak 3/5 (a little too greasy for my taste), Crispy belly roll 5/5!! It's a roll of lechon with rice and sauces on the side! Beef Bulalo 5/5! Comforting, warm and it hit the spot! The place is small but absolutely perfect! Will definitely be bisonte again soon'

Today, we were looking to remember and celebrate Mom's birthday in heaven. We were in the Medical Center area and decided to visit @kabayankusina.satx for dinner. Glenda first took our orders, then Sheryl took great care of us. Dad had the Sago Gulaman drink, and Hubby and I both had unsweet tea. We then started with the Lumpiang Shanghai. The Kare-kare (oxtail) was served in the traditional palayok (clay pot). The Crispy Belly Roll is pork belly stuffed with lemon grass, minced garlic, onion, and scallions. The crunch is excellent! We had the Sisig, Laing (taro leaves), and ended with the Halo Halo. Dad has long looked for the Laing at different Filipino restaurants since it's native to Naga City/Bicol region, where he was born. The Halo Halo is topped with ube ice cream, which was Mom's favorite. We have so much food leftover for another couple of meals. If you're in the Medical Center area and looking for a different variety of Filipino food, stop by and check it out!

Some of the best Filipino food is served here. I haven't had a single bad thing on the menu, and they also offer a great lunch deal. If you're feeling hungry, order the crispy pata for 7lb of pork. I went with ginataang hipon the most recent time that I ate there, and it's a delicious shrimp dish. And of course you have to get the lumpia! Service is very friendly and the restaurant has a very casual but homey feel.

Today we went to Kabayan Kusina for the first time and were blown away by the food, the service, the prices, and the overall homey vibes. The lunch specials are $13.99 and come with an entree, rice, pancit, and a lumpia roll. Everything was so delicious and the portions were huge. It reminds me of the homecooked meals that my Filipino friends' moms used to make for us growing up. We're definitely going to come back to try other authentic entrees! My only regret was that we didn't leave room for dessert.

Another good find thanks to Yelp! Friendly, fast, and delicious! Four of us shared the lumpia, sisig, pinakbet, and adobo. Very good and there were leftovers. Nice, clean place. Highly recommend!

Miyabi Asian Fusion has menu items from multiple eastern countries and blends them into a single menu, which was the draw for us to come explore. We started off with the Korean Chicken for an appetizer and it was OK. It might be unfair to compare local dishes to the stated country, as the ingredients are most likely not the same, or as fresh, but that is the rule of measure I'm using. Ordered the Red Curry Chicken and it was also good, had lots of different veggies inside, but lacked any spice. I like enough spice to make my head sweat, but before my tongue loses all feeling. It did neither. We took on the crispy Texas Roll and the Tiger Roll. Again, good, above average although it was prepared nicely. Wasabi needed a bit more punch, which would have helped. The server was kind and kept our drinks full. Inside dinning had plenty of large wooden booths for larger parties. Overall, I would say this is an above average place and probably would be more of a lunch spot than I would use for a weekend dinner.

Alas, was really craving some 蔥油餅, and this was the only place that offered delivery with them! I am sad to report that @ the very premium price of $5 for a single pancake, it would have been a far more worthwhile choice to take an Uber to the Asian grocery store to buy an entire package of 8 to 10 frozen ones for practically the same price! Same goes for pretty much everything else. Buying the frozen versions would have been not only me expensive, but the tasteful pleasure would have been on par if not better. Bibigo, I Mei, Wei Chan are a few recommended frozen food companies that would serve you better! Taste profile for all items were mediocre at best. $6 Takoyoki Balls were probably the best, but even then, I have had far better for less dinero. The supposedly main course sized Donburi Gyudon was nowhere with the price, but it was at least pretty good. The 75 percent rice was good but obviously more meat would have been nice for $12. Not to be boringly dissimilar in my assessment, but the soups also are not recommended when they are so pricey. TLDR, eat here expecting average but overpriced food. When you consider value, this place is highly recommended- to avoid!
