My favorite pastime is to watch Check Please, Bay Area and make a day of checking out a new (to me) restaurant. After watching the show I had to try the biscuit sandwiches. They were amazing 10/10. We also got a blueberry scone, turnovers, pecan turtle, everything croissant, latte, and a chai. The food was all exceptional and definitely worth the long line. We sat in the park-let and had a great time. My only complaint was the ordering process. One guy was taking phone orders, we told the woman who helped us were going to make a large order but she got a tiny bag and didn't write down the drinks so we had to repeat ourselves several times. I had walked by this place a few times on my way to True Laurel but never walked by while it was open.... Turns out it is one of the best (and only) early morning Breakfast Spots in the Mission. Just stopped by here this morning to grab some breakfast with my roommate and brother who is visiting for the week. The shop itself is fairly small but there is seating outside. The first thing you see walking in is the pastry selection which looked quite good. For food, we each got a breakfast sandwich and split a Gianduja (Italian Nutella) Croissant and I picked up a drip coffee. The food was fantastic - The biscuit for my sandwich was extra buttery and the bacon was crisp. And the croissant was Goldilocks sweet (meaning just right) Also, the staff were super friendly and they even had accommodations for hot sauces as well. I've been on the hunt for amazing breakfast sandwiches and most of what I found were ones that had home made biscuits (which I love carbs and I love bread). I stumbled across this breakfast sandwich via doordash and it looked amazing in photos (even on Yelp!) I had to pull the trigger and get it. I ordered the classic biscuit sandwich with avocado. I opted to get a classic biscuit, garlic aoli, and a cheddar for my order. I even ordered a side of financier's to try them out. My order arrived within 30 minutes I believe? Maybe even sooner. My sandwich was wrapped up in foil to retain the heat and man... I drooled. It looked so amazing and that first bite was what hit the spot for me. The biscuit is sooo flaky and soft. It's crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The bits of avocado, cheddar, and egg were amazing with the garlic aoli. Not too garlicky, but just the right amount. It just compliments each other so well. I absolutely LOVE this breakfast sandwich and I will be ordering more. Just this one breakfast sandwich filled me up for hours. The financiers were ok as well. I wasn't so sure how to feel about them, but they were sweet and cake like! Probably goes well with a cup of coffee for sure. My total came out to be around $18.47 with delivery fees. Breakfast sandwich - Bacon cheddar biscuit, garlic aioli, ham. This was by the way a big boy. Great value for money, great flavor, hot and fresh out of the oven. You must do it. We overheard another customer order the exact same combination (it's a customizable sandwich) while we were chowing down and exchanged knowing smiles at the joy about to dawn on his life. It probably wasn't his first rodeo but it was ours so it felt great to be one of the in-crowd. Karaage sandwich - this was a special for the day! It honestly had extremely good flavor - dill swiss biscuit, tasty fried chicken kaarage, japanese pickles. Honestly the only gripe was that these were pre-made and so cold when we bit into it. Maybe ask them to see if they can warm it up for you. Mushroom Gruyere Croissant - Same as the karaage sandwich. On a cold SF day, this croissant took the worst of the cold weather and missed its maximum potential. My friend also tried the Hojicha mochi muffin, which she said she unexpectedly enjoyed more than she expected! I'm definitely coming back here. Just next time, I might ask them to see if they'd be able to warm up some of the pastries laid out, or take them home to rejuvenate in the air fryer for a bit. So, overall, I enjoyed it, but it's not really something I will crave. However, I accidentally stumbled upon a perfect breakfast potato pairing for the biscuit sandwich. Just keep an open mind when I tell you this... The biscuit sandwich is perfect with day-old Betty Crocker boxed Au Gratin potatoes. I'm not (very) embarrassed to admit that I happened to have some leftover cheesy potatoes in the fridge. Threw them in the microwave, and the texture and flavor were exactly what the biscuit needed.
