Now that I've discovered these hot buttery biscuits I'm in trouble. They are just fantastic and addictive. There's a great variety of pastries available as well

Popping into Kahnfections to try the popular biscuit sandwich turned out to be a little bit of a let down. Service was great, but if you want anything more than egg and cheese in the sandwich quickly racks up the price. I added ham (2 pieces) and avocado and on a non standard biscuit which brought it up to around $17 pre tax and tip. While the biscuit was indeed very nice, the taste of the whole thing is indeed just how any breakfast sandwich would taste, and unfortunately left more to be desired for me with the associated price tag.

Food was excellent, the biscuit on the breakfast sandwich was great. Added bacon and avocado which are always worth it. Cold brew was cold brew. Cinnamon roll was nice and gooey. Portions were a little small. Service is quick and there's only outdoor seating in a park let so good for a sunny Sunday morning.

I decided to try this place out because I was in the area. The item that I was most curious about, and thus purchased, was the Dill Swiss Scallion Biscuit. I was happy they put it in my clean reusable to-go container, so I could reduce waste! When I tried the biscuit, I was pleasantly surprised by how hearty and moist it was, though it still had the slight dryness that typically accompanies biscuits. I would gladly get this again for breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. If I come back, I'd like to try out their cupcakes.

Kahnfections... I have to keep myself from ordering or getting and breakfast sandwich every weekend. The eggs are PERFECT. The biscuit is unbelievable. The food comes out fast and it's irresistible. The staff are very sweet and it's a nice relaxing place to have breakfast, especially if you're coming here before a morning workout or hike. It's a great way to start a weekend

Owner Judy Kahn cut her teeth at SF greats Tartine & the now-closed Sandbox Bakery; that tells me everything I need to know about her tremendous baking skills. The customizable Biscuit Sandwiches are really the thing to order from her eponymously-named shop, Kahnfections. They're divine. I ordered bacon, cheddar, & garlic aioli on a flakey, buttery dill, swiss, & scallion biscuit. The portion of fluffy eggs is massive. No one who orders this is leaving their parklet seat hungry. I also enjoyed the buttery (there goes that word again) thumbprint cookie with raspberry jam, but would pass on the slice of carrot cake; stole a forkful from my friend & it wasn't sticky-sweet enough for my liking.

Came here with a friend on a Saturday afternoon; it was raining so not that many people here. The downside of rain was that the outside tables and chairs were all wet, but we were lucky and got a standing table inside after another couple left. They have an excellent selection of so many yummy pastries - and for great prices. But I think they really shine with the breakfast sandwiches. It's such a great price, so delicious, and fills you up! It's customizable but I don't think you can go wrong with any mix of options. The biscuits are delightfully flaky and buttery, and egg fits in it perfectly. I would recommend this place to anyone, and would love to come back to try other things on the menu whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

Might be the most delightful biscuit ever. So buttery. So moist. So flaky. Order: Biscuit sandwich with cheddar and LEMON AIOLI (trust). I'd prob add bacon next time if I'm feeling extra hungry. Got there around 10am on a Sat and there was no line. Sandwich came out pretty quick.

A very solid biscuit sandwich experience! I visited on a weekend morning, and it was extremely busy. However, shoutout to the fast and friendly cashiers and employees who kept the line moving! The store had such a fun, loud environment, with lots of people laughing and chatting with friends. We had a bit of difficulty finding seating outside, but after a while, a spot opened up. The biscuit sandwich was quite good! I loved the buttery classic buttermilk biscuit - it was the star of the whole sandwich. The garlic aioli and cheddar were delicious, paired with veggies and bacon. I was expecting a slightly larger sandwich given the price, but it was filled with toppings. I'd definitely visit again to try some drinks and pastries (or have another biscuit sandwich)!

It is, indeed, a very good biscuit sandwich. A lovely morning before a busy day. (Croissants were ok) (Coffee also ok)

We went on Saturday around 9:20 AM and there was no wait! We ordered 2 classic breakfast sandwiches and oh my gosh they were amazing. Nothing about the sandwich was dry. The biscuit was crumbly in the best way and the eggs were moist. There was a large selection of pastries so I think I'll go back for the everything croissant next time! I recently catered from Kahnfections for my office in honor of women's history month and had such a great experience. Everything was incredibly organized and clearly labeled, which I really appreciated since we had a mix of dietary needs. The gluten-free and vegan items were packaged in their own separate boxes to prevent cross-contamination, which made it so easy (and stress-free) to serve at the office. The drop-off process was super smooth and right on time. Presentation was great, and most importantly -- the pastries and baked goods were delicious. People in the office kept going back for more and asking where everything was from. I also loved how many gluten-free and vegan options they offer. It can be hard to find places that truly cater to those diets while still making everything taste amazing, but they really delivered. The pricing also felt very fair for the quality, variety, and level of care they put into the order. Overall, such a great option for office catering or events, especially if you need inclusive options for different dietary restrictions. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.

A local, cozy-vibe breakfast spot with yummy, good priced pastries. We went on Friday at 11am and found seating outside for 3. Everything was good - the biscuit was decadent, pastries were moist and flavorful, all were reasonably priced (~$3-6 each). It felt like everything was made with care. All service was so personable and friendly. It's a cute vibe and lovely place to drop by for a breakfast. The neighborhood surrounding is quaint and quiet.

I came by on a Friday around 11 am and it was so hard to find parking. The line was only formed because the bakery is relatively small and doesn't have a lot of wiggle room so they only let in one party at a time. There aren't any sit-down tables or chairs so this is a grab and enjoy somewhere else. Pastry: Kouign-amann (8.4/10): Oh this was yummy. I love a good kouign amann and Arsicault satisfied my sweet tooth. It was a little too sweet but had a good outer layer crunch and fluffy interior. Chocolate Almond Croissant (7.8/10): This one was amazing! I will say that this one is definitely on the sweeter side but it was still delicious. It's a pretty big croissant with a good crunch but not a lot of flaking :( I did really enjoy the almond paste that was smothered on the inside. My boyfriend really enjoyed this croissant and wouldn't stop talking about it for a few hours.

We waited about an hour on a Friday morning. On to the baked goods, it was some of the best bakery goods I've tried ever. Everything was delicious in every way. My favorite had to be the coffee cake, the elote corn, and the Lorraine. Wow, so damn good. I know their menu changes, but it's a must try as their base dough for all their items are PERFECT. Each bite is amazing with such a crunch. Their corn latte was also super delicious.

The namesake Pistachio Cardamom croissant was excellent for a filled croissant. It had excellent layers and the cream was just enough to add a lusciousness to each bite that wasn't too heavy. The madame lorraine was my other favorite. It was meaty and rich with the soft baked runny yolk and the light touch of rosemary was just enough to accentuate the bite. The not as good...a standard butter croissant. Maybe we got a dud but there was a serious lack of layers in ours and it wasn't as crisp or as buttery as I like. The elote corn croquiche filling was also quite salty which was a shame because the pastry layer was pretty good. I still have two more pastries to try but given the weight and the mixed bag, I definitely expected a lot more from Butter & Crumble. Pro tip: get a butter croissant at Arsicault, walk to B Patisserie and get a kouign amann. You'll have both before the line moves here.

I heard kind of a grunt, kind of like, you know how Asian people will grunt sometimes instead of speaking (my Japanese grandmother and mother do this, so I picked up on it...)... so when I heard the grunt, I said, "Oh, are you ready to take our order?" And she looked at us and nodded as if we were an inconvenience to her. Aaaahhhh yes.... this is the "Gen Z stare". No common decency of doing business with humans, just her staring at a screen and expecting us to telepathically know she was ready to take our order. Thankfully I have Asian heritage, because my friend would have probably died waiting there for the gal to say something or make eye contact. So we order 5 pastries, a bag of vanilla butter mochi, and 2 drinks which came out to nearly $60, which is fine... but then upon payment to ask for a 20% tip? Um... excuse me? Grunts and stares does not a good tip make, my dears. We left $4 to cover the 2 drinks being made and for the "service". If she had offered us common decency, we would have tipped more. I'm not asking for a fake smile - just to be acknowledged as a customer who is patronizing a business. My friend got the honeycomb toffee latte. While other people got sizeable chunks of honeycomb atop their drink, he got literal dust. He asked if that was the honeycomb, and they confirmed. Wow - they really did hate us! Is it because we only tipped $4? We may never know. The einspander coffee was good. The pastries were overall, good but more like "okay". The hojicha puff filling was runny and literally dumped out of the hole it was piped in to. We sat at a table outside of the shop, so it's not like we traveled with the pastry and it got hot or something. The orange chocolate bun was very good. I am not familiar with Korean, so please forgive me... but the croissant square with mochi and kinako could have been good, but the kinako cemented to the roof of my mouth when I would take a bite. Then when I folded it so the cementing wouldn't happen, the flavor was just lost. I thought the chewy mochi with the crunchy pastry would be great, but it wasn't. I absolutely adore kinako, but it just didn't work. I'll stick to regular omochi with kinako. We got the two Korean beef pastries - the croissant version and the bun version. The bun was great even though the filling was skimpy. The croissant pastry was okay, but the bun was better. Would I come back? Probably not, to be honest.
