Went to the 7th street location today and while looking at the menu the woman behind the counter very rudely stated "if you want a sandwich then tell me now" I looked at her in disbelief and she followed up with "cause it takes a long time". I've been a patron of this business for many many years. Hence my original review over 5 years ago. I believe the young woman is the owner's daughter . Was excited to see their logo and quickly got into their parking lot. An interesting twist : they are directly opposite in the same plaza that used to have a Winchell's Donut - it's the familiar triangular logo, now an empty shell. Very bubbly lady behind the counter, reminded me of their specials for four or six donuts. Got six of course. I was surprised that no one else was in line when I arrived, granted it was close to 1pm. The other Cerritos location always seems busy and has well stocked varieties. Got the cronut versions of guava cheese and ube Oreo, and regular ube roll donut, plus two crème brûlée custard filled ones. The crème brûlée donut has a hard sugar glaze on it and the filling is added just at purchase so it stayed pretty solid, not soggy. Got the Vietnamese coffee, it was rung up as Zombie- less sweet version and equally delicious. Smaller shop, no tables or seats but you can always eat your donut in your car. Numerous signs stating no parking for nearby businesses, but there was ample parking. Best flavor combinations were the guava cheese and ube with crushed Oreo cookies. I think the other donuts available were whimsical and fun to look at : fruity pebbles cereal, tiramisu , something looking like unicorns and maple bacon. Also donut holes. My favorites were the cronuts, the fruity pebble donut, the apple fritter and the strawberry croissant. Did not like the salted caramel old fashioned. I thought it was maple and was let down. Easy to park! I'm all about parking. When you enter, your eyes will widen with all the colorful donuts. Family-owned business and they are FAST in getting your orders out. When it comes to artisan donuts, there are many shops that offer unique donuts that stray away from the standard donuts we see everywhere else. The service was great as the workers were nice and knowledgeable. They also threw in a glazed croissant, which was pretty good! The donuts were also pretty good, nothing mind blowing, but delicious all the same. We had the blueberry donut and crème brûlée donut. The crème brûlée was good, but it felt like it was lacking a little bit of the sweetness in the cream that I'm used to in crème brûlée. The blueberry donut also seemed to have missed the mark just a tad. Considering I've had amazing blueberry donuts, this one falls just above average. The blueberry donut is my favorite! There are real blueberries on it and you can taste the fresh Blueberries in the glaze. Not usually a sweets person but if I'm gonna treat myself to one I aim for the best of the best: Knead has a rich but not over powering flavor the strawberry Cheesecake is my fave and has a little cheesecake but on it. The blueberry is decent the croissants were amazing and tasted like a glazed donut. Not a bad price and definitely worth a try. Parking lot is a decent size and the coffee isn't half bad either. They are located on a busy street, which was pretty convenient. There is a small parking lot, and parking was never a concern for me. I tried their breakfast sandwich, guava donut, and ice coffee. Breakfast croissant: I ordered the ham, cheese, and egg sandwich. It came with over easy egg. Be careful when you bite into it as the egg yolk might shoot out, and mess up your clothes. It happened to me. Coffee: It was not as strong as the typical Vietnamese coffee. With a full cup of ice, the coffee would be a bit watery towards the end. Guava donut: It was the best donut among the others, but only get it when it is available. Do not ask for it when it is sold out. They tried to squeeze guava cream on top of a regular donut for me. It is just not as good. Service: we ordered online, and was running a bit late to pick up the order. When we got there, the cashier girl mentioned twice, "you ordered it 15 minutes ago!" I had to tell her twice that "I am sorry that we are late because of me." She could have said, "the order was made 15 minutes ago, and it might not be as fresh." I came to Knead for the first time after so many people recommended it and it didn't disappoint. I was helped by Amy who introduced me to the rest of the staff today: Mikayla, and Huey. The coffee is delicious and everyone is right about their bacon egg and cheese croissant. They season the egg which is usually a pretty big ask. I almost got one of their banana cream pie donuts but decided against it (with so much regret). The store is clean and festive for the holiday. Leaving back to AZ and we couldn't resist. The sign with Ankor Wat and big blue and red font that read KNEAD was definitely our eye catcher. Fiancé didn't get to eat breakfast from the hotel and he saw BEST CROISSANT SANDWICH and I saw the BEST VIETNAMESE COFFEE and right there, I was sold on trying. We've driven by many times from our visits to Long Beach so this time we had to. Walking in the first thing I saw was the amazing Apsara greeting you in the left corner; she was magically carved perfectly! Second thing we saw were all the amazing donuts through the glass. I can't remember them all, but they were beautifully crafted with their own toppings. In front of the rows of donuts has little mini wooden chalkboard signs neatly handwritten names of each donuts. Of course they had a menu on top behind them on the wall, but these details are adorable. I can only assume the young lady working were the ones that wrote them this morning. We got a box of 4 with the quickest selling, Dubai chocolate, Strawberry Shortcake, Pebbles, one that remind me of a fruit tart with whip cream and 3 fruits on top of it. An added bonus was an Ube one!! Oh and I would like to mention, their packed box was exactly their logo outside, and I love the artwork on the cup, plastic seal with the monkey king on it. Before anything, I had to take a bite of all of them before my girls got into it. The Works croissant sandwich is also delicious! Definitely one of the best croissant sandwiches ever! Layered with cheese, egg, sausage, bacon, and ham in between a big flaky croissant. And finally the viet coffee..... mmmmmm... definitely fit my liking. I never had anyone ask what level I wanted but wow, thanks for the option! Apparently half sweet is what I wanted and as he was taking our order he shouted in the back, "white zombie!" For anyone who loves their viet coffee half sweet, there's a name. Staff were very friendly, up beat, and can tell had patience with us while we were indecisive about donuts! By the time he packed our donuts the wait for the sandwich was no longer than 4 min! We love how quick it went inside; we were in and out and on the road home. Before leaving we heard this lady order a "Godzilla" hearing that, peaked our interest, and we looked up at the menu and said, "next time we are visiting, we are getting that one!" Also has the privilege of trying the gingerbread donut as well as the red velvet donuts which were INCREDIBLE.
