Mul Neang Myun & Banchan $17.99
    Ben C.

Clean & comfortable with maintained furnishings. Service was great ~ welcoming, prompt, attentive. Banchan ~ simple though fresh & tasty. Guk Bap ~ piping hot, mild saltiness, good broth, good balance between components & soup. NeangMyun ~ mid cold? The noodles might have not been chilled enough. Texture almost vermicelli like, not chewy. Broth was decent but again too warm for this LA summer lunch. Purple rice yummy. $3 valet parking makes it easy for diners in this tight lot but it does fill up during peak hours.

If LEE GA were closer to me, I would definitely visit more often. Their cold noodles are perfect for the summer, but I especially love their warm and comforting soups. A lot of people seem to order their food to go, which honestly feels like a smart move since the wait can sometimes be a little long. That said, the food is worth waiting for, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portions. Parking is available in the shared lot for a $3 fee. Overall, LEE GA is a great spot for flavorful Korean comfort food, whether you are dining in or picking up an order to enjoy at home.

Hot summer day and a few of us wanted cold noodles, so we thought we would try Lee Ga and see if the hype was real. While the broth was tasty, it wasn't cold :( Kind of defeats the purpose, especially when you're waiting in the heat for a table and the room itself was pretty warm. Banchan was pretty limited as well, with just two Kim chi types and cucumbers with samjang. The highlight might have been the ribs, which are not LA style but full bone. The bulgogi was pretty tasty as well, but serving was really small and the daengjang soup not all that great. Loved the purple rice though! I do like that they offer free tea, but is offset with the charging of to go boxes :). I realize it's only $0.50, but it did keep me from ordering an extra dish which would have guaranteed the need for containers. Thankfully we only needed three :). Parking is valet only and the place was packed even though we chose an off peak time of 2:00pm. $3 isn't bad, but even valet had a hard time keeping up so keep parking in mind when visiting.

My mom had lunch here with some friends visiting from Korea this Monday (7/13/2026) and afterward she brought home their Braised Pork Ribs with Kimchi for dinner. It reminded me of this restaurant. We've been coming here several times since 2023, and my mom has also brought takeout home on many occasions. Everything on the menu is delicious. What I especially love is that every dish, including all of the side dishes, has such a rich, deep flavor. I also remember the staff being incredibly friendly every time we've visited. The Braised Pork Ribs with Kimchi is especially amazing, and the Beef Short Rib Soup with Cabbage (Ugeoji Galbitang) is absolutely delicious as well. The food is consistently excellent, and the warm, friendly service keeps us coming back. It's definitely one of my favorite Korean restaurants.

This place was amazing!! Service is also incredibly quick. We got the Naemgyeon Combo with Beef Ribs. The naemgyeong was solid and the beef was soo soft/tender. The flavor was great. We also tried the Mala Sulung Tang which is unique and we loved it. The broth was delicious. Overall, definitely will come back!

My parents and I have been coming here for a bit. Sometimes we get the big platters, and it's a lot of food; we often have to take home leftovers. You do have to pay for containers if you take leftovers home ($0.25). Kimchi Dumplings: My mom loves these and says Lee Ga has the best ones. Lee Ga Seollotang: I love this soup, and it's made very well here. It reminds me of Korea. Green onions are provided on the side, so you can add as many as you want. The dish itself is minimally seasoned, but that is because there's salt and pepper at the table for you to season it yourself. I got the brisket version, and the meat is super soft. It also comes with glass noodles inside. I liked to grab a spoonful of rice and dip it into the soup before eating it. Parking: There's valet service in the plaza as well as minimal street parking. Inside is a little small, and it can get quite busy. The service is wonderful, and they are very attentive. If you're looking for Korean comfort food, this is the place to go

Very good Korean spot. Great atmosphere and super authentic and attentive staff. Food was EXCELLENT. The Banchan was great. Crisp and refreshing pickled veggies. The cucumber in brown sauce was a low key super monster of a dish. Really good. Dipped most my stuff in that brown sauce. Beef rib was excellent. Correctly cooked. Super tender, but not over done. Very good butcher or very good buyer, because for a beef back rib, there was a ton of meat. Mixed dumplings stole the show. Kimchi and meat. Home made and it was wildly apparent. The dough was so delicate and thin, but retained such a nice chew and flavor. Love that. Cold noodle was on POINT! I messed up and added vinegar and mustard when this one really doesn't need any. Take it from me - let the broth speak for itself - because this one really can. Noodles had a solid chew. I was envious of my girl who got the non-broth ones. Those were even better. Great sesame flavor and subtle sweet-heat This place is great. Expect to spend $100 to do it right. Come for the cold noodles and back ribs, stay for the banchan and dumplings.

The Bottom Line: 3.5 stars: A nice Korean comfort food spot for high quality food and great attentive service. Location 3 stars: In the busy K-Town area on the East side of South Vermont Avenue, in a strip mall. Street parking is next to impossible. Thankfully they have valet on premises who serves the many stores on the strip mall. They charged $3 at the time of my visit. Most people give them a $5 to cover the gratuity. Venue 3 stars: Unpretentious medium-sized facility with indoor seating. They tend to get very buy and you put your name on a hand written list and wait outside (no indoor wait area). As far as I know they do not take reseravtions. Service 4 stars: Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. Food 3.5 stars: Korean soups and noodles and a few barbecue dishes (prepared in the kitchen, not tableside). We had the Lee-Ga Sulung Tang beef soup (OK... 3 out of 5, a little bland), the Bulgogi Hansang (OK... 3.5 out of 5) and the Spicy Pork Hansang (very good, 4 out of 5). We all had the Korean Purple Rice (Heukmi-bap) which was quite good, sat 4 out of 5). Purple Rice is said to be good for you, full of antioxidants and fiber. Drinks 4 stars: Good selection of Korean beers in small and large bottles, Soju, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Some of the best ribs and Korean cold noodles in LA. The ribs were tender and juicy while the noodle were bouncy and chewy. Such a great combination. A bit pricey though so I can't indulge everytime but I will be back soon.

everything was fresh and delicious! The chive pancake was my favorite. Kimchi was a tad spicier than what I am used to but I kept eating it because it was so yummy! Service was good. Valet is $3

Hard to find authentic Korean spots in K-town nowadays that haven't been super westernized. Not a bad thing per se but there's always something magical in finding a place that's more local and less popular to the masses. This is one of those spots. My go to joint for cold spicy noodles and kimchi dumplings. Priceless on a hot day. Service is great considering the floor was run by just 2 women who wore multiple hats from cleaning, serving, and ringing up the bill. They were so kind and thoughtful - they even offered us bibs knowing we had white shirts on. Overall: local hidden gem for cold noodles and dumplings.

Me and friend started with drinks at the bar - I got the hwachae milk punch, a pretty pink sip! My friend got the espresso martini, their take made with cold brew soju, Korean coffee mix, and makgeolli. Both were fun, well-balanced ways to kick off the night. Their honey butter chips were pretty delectable - fresh-cut potato, fried until crunchy and airy, then drizzled with a honey butter glaze that channels those nostalgic honey butter chip snacks. The sauce was good but can definitely be a sweetness overload, so if you don't have a sweet tooth, I would avoid ordering. Got the pine nut cold noodles, which was refreshing on a summer day - white noodles in a chilled soy milk broth with pine nut. The pine flavor was pretty subtle, so if you're into that, definitely get this, but for me it was just okay. The pork jowl was delicious though - comes with chili crisp and garlic rice, and we ended up taking some home because we couldn't finish it all! Service was great - we sat at the bar and got to watch the bartender work and chat. Parking can be hit or miss; you can either park in the several garage structures around ktown or the small paid lot in the Danbi plaza, but we came on a Thursday night and it was still pretty busy. Overall, a 9/10 meal with good vibes, cute drinks, and delicious food. Already dreaming about trying the galbi next time I'm here!

We went for the DineLA menu. We had reservations and were immediately seated. Overall, the restaurant had a modern, relaxed vibe. Our server was very personable and helped me choose the Kimchi Mule, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The food started rolling out right away, beginning with the Honey Butter Potato Chips. They were good, but probably not something I would order again. Next came the kimchi watermelon and spicy sashimi noodles, and I was impressed with both. I had a hard time imagining what kimchi watermelon would taste like and was surprised by how much I liked it. The spicy sashimi noodles were the standout for me. I kept going back for another bite and would come back just for those. The Corn and Cheese Roll came out next along with the Pork Jowl. Both were good, although if I returned, I would probably try something different. Up until that point, everything had gone extremely well. The food came out at a good pace, people checked on us, our waters were refilled, and dishes were cleared almost as soon as we finished them. Then we waited. And waited some more. Our server kept apologizing and telling us, "The dessert is coming!" After at least 20 minutes, we started talking about simply leaving without it. I finally flagged down the host and asked if there was a problem in the kitchen because we had been waiting so long for the parfait. A few minutes later, he came back and explained that there was an issue involving the whipped cream. At that point I asked how much longer we were expected to wait. Eventually the parfait arrived, and I couldn't help thinking that we had waited close to half an hour for what amounted to a small dollop of whipped cream on top. To make matters worse, the dessert wasn't very good. We couldn't finish it. I left disappointed, especially because the rest of the meal had gone so well. I know the kitchen delay wasn't our server's fault, but I would have expected someone to proactively explain what was happening or offer us another dessert rather than leaving us sitting there wondering when--or if--it was coming.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.

My favorite pork bone soup! Can be flavored to your liking with the salt and white pepper on the…read moretable but it's so hearty, flavorful and the pork is always tender. I also really like their marinated crab but it is quite pricey for the portion. Otherwise, I appreciate that it stays open quite late and has its own parking lot.

Suuper bummed about our experience today. We ordered the cold noodle & LA galbi combo as we always…read moredo, and a leek pancake as we weren't as hungry and the combo usually fills us up. Even when we ordered the food, the server said "that's it?" as if she was offended that we didn't order more food (lower sales?) I'm not sure if we misunderstood her attitude but that's kind of how it felt like. The quality and size went down and it was just... not good. This used to be my #1 spot for cold noodles but our other fav place was closed today so we decided to come here. As you can see, the size of the cold noodles became smaller. Everything was packed in this small bowl which made it harder to eat. I think they changed the noodles they use because it wasn't doing anything texture wise. It used to be chewy and had a good buckwheat flavor. The broth tasted.. like water with a splash of bone broth. The quality of galbi was also a disappointing as I feel like it's became less and the meat was burnt with more fat/chewy bits. The leek pancake was ok but again, comparing it to my picture from January, it was bigger in size and more dough-y. Service was decent previously but it felt a bit cold today. Again, super bummed because we still love this place but I probably won't be ordering their combo again. You can see in my pictures how often we used to order the cold noodles from here and you can compare the quality.
