Thumbs up for their pizza and customer service.

I love the atmosphere and their pizza is so good. I love crispy pizza and that's what I got without asking. I recommend it. You will love it. Their customer service is above and beyond. Greeted with a smile.

Wanted to give this place another try since I was in the area & could have done without it. The calzone was really forgettable. Skimped out on the sauce for the portion size. Never thought something could be too cheesy but it was too much soo much grease. The ratio of meat to cheese was so off. Little to no flavor. Their pizza is also very basic and lacking in flavor. The wait time to get our calzone with 40 minutes on a Tuesday night. Not a very welcoming atmosphere.

Great pizza spot on 4th street. One size pizza size 16" plus they have slices. They also carry salads, beer and wine which you can order by the bottle or glass. It's a fairly small space but they do have booths and a few tables outside. Pizza is excellent. You order at counter, find a spot and they bring it to you.

This is my go to spot for a specialty pizza and wine!! You won't be disappointed!!! They have specials throughout the week and even wine Wednesday half off!!! my daughter, and I love this place. We picked up a pepperoni jalapeño pizza and a Barada, basil and artichoke pizza mouth watering!! Decided to treat ourselves to a bottle of wine Pinot Noir Rose' which was light and refreshing with our pizzas! A Shout out to Elizabeth for excellent customer service ! Thank you so much to the Chef as well!! Amazing!

lil coyote is not what it used to be. the ingredients seem much cheaper and skimpier, the pizza has a lot less oil in a bad way, the dough has changed. and 3 hours after eating it, my stomach is already not feeling so great. in the old times during their heyday, i would have eaten 3 slices and keep yearning for more.... even when im full. this time, it was just a big meh. i've heard that they've gone downhill and they have. big time. and the generic sounding replies from the management doesn't help their case either when i'm looking over their recent reviews will not be going back there again. so sad because they used to be really good.

service at this location is a 0/5. friend and I go in with the intention of buying a slice of pizza each, the worker at the register said they were "out of slices and squares." so naturally, we thought our only other option was to buy a full-sized pizza since they were "out." we were waiting for over 30 minutes and see other customers walking out with their slices of pizza. after asking the worker at the register, the only thing they said was "sorry, your pizza is already prepped." why wouldn't you mention that you have slices coming in 10 minutes instead of saying you were out and making us buy a full pizza? ridiculous customer service and just plain weird. 40+ minutes later and we get our pizza, I went to grab a slice and the entire surface of the pizza slid off--cheese, sauce, toppings.... and this is what I was left with. not exactly what you want to see after the long wait and the service you just experienced. we love to support local businesses, but experiences like these make it difficult to want to return. pizza was good though.

Yummy times at the Little Coyote! We strolled in while showing some of our of town family crew the sights and sounds _AND TASTES_ of 4th Street... and guess what we got hungry!! We strolled in NEEDING a slice or two and Yo! we got 'em! They heated em up and they were super warm and melty - family was stoked! Cruised outside to eat and delightful parklet in the shade, just wham! Immediate fun and mow-down show down!

So I've seen this place on Instagram and the video look phenomenal. Unfortunately that's not what i experienced. Walking in it was my first time the cashier really didn't help much. But I'm a basic girl so I just ordered a pepperoni slice and the white pie slice because it sound good. The inside is very cute hipster trendy. My only issue which is kind of a major one is my pizza was cold. I order I believe the granny sicilian slice so I believe that a really thick bread like focaccia and it was hard and cold. My white pie slice was thin crust and also cold. I ultimately just left I was going to work right after just wanted a quick lunch. What I didn't understand was the girl said the wait would be about 15 minutes and our food took 2 minutes so I believe she just gave me the food as is instead of warming it up.

Great pizza! bad parking, in fact there is no parking. You have to drive around until you find a parking or pay $5/hr at a parking lot down the street. Service was meh... they are so focused on serving the take out pizzas they forgot to make our second pizza, so we sat there and watched our kids enjoy their pizza. No one came to tell us they forgot our pizza, no apologies, no one cared. Not sure if we will be coming back, the place is constantly handing out pizzas to go and is very busy. Dine in pizzas take over 30 minutes to be served.

I am going to sound like a hater, but not to Little Coyote specifically! I am not understanding the hype around pizza, especially expensive pizza, in Long Beach. I got two pizzas from Little Coyote to try: one pizza with bacon, onions, pineapple, and pickled jalapenos and one with sausage and mushrooms. Good! I don't think it's entirely worth the four times price as, say, Domino's... Maybe I just don't love pizza like that. I think Little Coyote is good, but not worth the price point. There has also been talk about a change in leadership which has resulted in the quality of the ingredients noticeable decreasing. If someone I knew wanted to get pizza at a non-fast casual chain, I would be happy to try Little Coyote again, but it's not something that I am itching to go back to or something that has turned me away from ordering a cheaper delivery pizza.

We came for a Tuesday lunch and were the only ones dining in when we ordered. We were told that our whole pizza would take around 20 minutes, but it ended up being 40 minutes. The BYO pizza costs more than their signature pizzas, but they do load up on the toppings. The individual slices are the better alternative if you're in a rush or just want something for yourself. Our individual slices came with a little bit of pepper flakes on it, if you don't eat spicy then you can ask them to omit. The restroom didn't have soap or paper towels. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The street parking in the front is paid, but in the neighborhoods they're free.

Background, I used to enjoy little coyote back just a few years ago circa 2021. Something definitely changed, the dough feels generic and non sourdough, the croutons feel cheap and not as good. Definitely not coming back, it's lost it's luster. Look below.

    Jenny C.

We ordered takeout for Little Coyote and it was so good!! The pieces are very big and had adequate toppings on both flavors. The Pineapple Express had sweet pineapples with jalapeños which made a great combo. The white pie was so delicious too! I loved the dollops of ricotta. I ordered takeout so I am not sure how the ambiance is like but the pizza was made very fast so id say service was fast!

That would be like ordering a half meat half vegan salad! The half with cheese will melt in to the half without cheese.

For starters, we got the Parker House Rolls, which comes with truffle butter, local citrus honey, and grana padano cheese. These rolls were so fluffy and flavorful. We also ordered the hummus, which was so rich and creamy, and the oysters from the raw bar. For the main, we ordered the Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop, Fish & Chips, and the Wedge salad to share. And let me tell you, that everything was so good. The Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop came with a whole show, where staff would bring out the dish in a smoke-infused glass dome and open the dome when presented on the table so we can smell and see all the smoke. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it tasted just as beautifully. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rainbow swiss chard, cheddar grits, candied pecans, and avocado honey helped balance out all the juiciness from the meat. They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! It was so refreshing, flavorful--just everything you want in a dish. We ended the dining experience with their Peach Cobbler Hand Pie, which came with streusel, pistachio crumble, salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area!

Our beef was a textbook medium rare and was so juicy and tender, as was the rest of the meat. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, as was all the shawarma. All meats were seasoned beautifully. The rice underneath was stunning as well and really caught all the juices from the meat on top. The roasted tomatoes, onions, and pickles were the perfect compliments to help freshen up the palette during the meal. The sauces were amazing and there was a clear favorite (the garlic sauce) which was annihilated by all four of us. Service was friendly! Ambiance (5/5): Although we didn't sit inside, it was super cute, with classy boho vibes. The restroom was clean and well-decorated (although, not gonna lie, I don't know how I felt about the big mirror facing the toilet). The outside patio area was airy, and although right by the street, I didn't find it unpleasant. Service (3/5): It was just so-so. They sat us down quickly, gave us our menus and checked on us maybe twice. It wasn't super busy, but we had to wait to ask for things like extra plates and water for our dog. Food Overall (5/5): Food was delicious. We got the beef shawarma lunch special and got fries for the side (extra charge) and also the chicken shawarma lunch special with the hummus side. Beef Shawarma (4/5): It had a nice toasty flavor, perhaps from the spices, and the pickled veggies really complemented it. My only complaint was that I wish it had a bit more of the white sauce (maybe adding more hummus would have helped). It was also strangely a bit watery, maybe from the veggies. Overall, it was still a yummy wrap. Chicken Shawarma (5/5): The chicken shawarma tasted more balanced to me overall. I don't recall the meat being dry, although I did also slather it with a bit of hummus. I thoroughly enjoyed this wrap. Fries side (5/5): Their fries are made in house and it tastes so fresh. It was crispy on the outside yet still gooey and moist on the inside. I'm not sure if they make their own ketchup too, as it looked clumpier and tasted really fresh too. The kids gobbled this up. Hummus and pita (5/5): It came with a generous amount of both hummus and pita. The hummus was well flavored and blended, and it really complemented everything on the table. The pocket pita bread was not what I had in mind (I'm used to thicker ones), but the kids really loved it overall. Ice cream (4.5/5): We ordered two scoops from the dessert menu. They were both really thick, creamy and almost chewy like liquidized mochi. It was a very interesting texture but nonetheless a nice tasty treat on a hot day. I much preferred the vanilla bean, as the pistachio tasted and looked rather artificial (and I'm a pistachio ice cream lover). This place had so many to-go orders during the afternoon we were there. I can see why. Food is super fresh and tasty. I think we will be back the next time we are visiting.

Once open, I was ready to check out Mendocino Farms for the first time. The menu at Mendocino Farms consists primarily of sandwiches, salads & soup. After a quick perusal, I thought the Peruvian Steak sandwich best whet my appetite. Peruvian Steak sandwich- Spicy aji amarillo marinated steak with Oaxacan cheese, herb aioli, red onions, tomatoes, shredded romaine on a toasted potato roll. I quite liked this. Tender steak, with fatty cheese. The vegetables provided contrast & texture. For my purchase, I went with a side of Southern Potato Salad. It was good, but similar to grocery deli potato salad. In hindsight, I should've purchased avocado added to my Peruvian Steak sandwich. Service was excellent. All hands were on deck, as Mendocino Farms opened only a few days prior. Each employee had a name badge, specifying their name & which entree was their favorite, helping indecisive customers choose what to get. Plenty of seating indoors & al fresco. Parking is at LBX, with Mendocino Farms being across Georgia's and facing the Hangar at LBX. I found the Peruvian Steak sandwich delicious, yet meager in quantity, considering the regular price. It's more of a substantial snack, than a full meal, in my case. However, it's great to have another quality food option in the area, and I look forward to coming back & exploring the rest of menu.
