I have been wanting to try this place out for the longest time but this area can get pretty busy. Luckily, we were attending Beach Streets and the streets were closed so made it that more accessible. The place itself is pretty small and is located int he heart of Retro Row. There is street parking and a small parking lot at the end of the corner. I suggest getting there early because that parking lot does fill up quick. As soon as I walked in, a lady took my order. They text you once your order is ready. You can wait inside or outside. There are a few booths inside and a few tables outside. We ended up ordering a basic Cheese pizza and a Pepperoni pizza. Both tasted really good. The cheese was fresh and was melted perfectly. The pizza sauce was not overpowering. I've never had a New York styled pizza and I was def a fan so will come back to try some other pizza. The Italian sandwich is AMAZING. It's around $16 out the door but worth every penny. It's a small sandwich but it will fill you up. The staff is always friendly and the sandwich only takes 15 minutes. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area which is awesome. Oh and the pizzas are so good. I love the pizza at little coyote, but over the past few years I've been frequenting the Los coyote diagonal location, the customer service has really declined. We've tried to eat here at least 6 times in the past four months, and it hasn't worked out. The place is busy, so expect to wait an hour for a pizza- which really isn't that big of a deal. To work around this, we'll often order some of their secondary dishes- salads or grandma squares. On two occasions The folks working have taken my order, quoted me a price and time, only for me to find out when I arrive they're now sold out of their squares. Most nights, when I call at 5, cheese squares aren't available and we don't eat meat. I'm a small business owner, and I appreciate how hard it it to handle all elements of a business- especially with scaling up. And I've also worked as a waitress, hostess etc, and I get that dealing with hungry people can be rough. But it seems like getting a slice of cheese pizza at our local favorite spot shouldn't be quite this hard. read more

Delish Margherita for sure! Loved the dough, sauce, cheese... all of it! The service was lacking however. The server was taking orders from guests completely out of order. A large family of 8 arrived 20 minutes after we did and they were ALL served at least 20 minutes Before our 1 sandwich and 1 pizza came out. We literally sat at our table watching other guests arrive, order, eat, and leave. My husband's sandwich came out but my pizza didn't. So there we sat... staring at his sandwich... watching other Margarita pizzas be served up around us (that were ordered after mine). Made no sense. When we asked the server what was up she explained that "some pizzas take longer to prepare" My husband just about lost it. He explained we've been sitting there for at least a half hour... staring at half our meal ... watching everybody else that placed their orders after us... eat what we felt should've been our pizza. The server was frazzled and offered my husband a complimentary beer... he declined the kind offer and explained we'd just like our pizza. Eventually... my pizza came out. I got a whole pepperoni $20.00 ADD Sausage $3.00 ADD Extra Cheese $2.00 ADD Red Onion $1.00 ADD Extra Sauce $1.00 and the pizza was simply one of the best i had in the long beach area! Actually it is the best pizza i had in long beach. Ordering online was easy and pick up the same. They don't have inside dining as the lady comes up to the door and hands you the pizza and items. They have a few little tables outside and a table outside to grab cheese and crush peppers with paper plates, nice setup. Oh the pizza, yes it was very flavorful and fresh ingredients on top. The curst was the best part cooked perfectly. Would i come back? Heck yeah it's worth the drive but they also have a location at 3500 N. I'm assuming there are new owners because I was here recently and it was normal service but today I came at lunch and waited 40 minutes for a sandwich I had to ask twice about. I'm always in the mood for pizza, I mean it's pizza who wouldn't be in the mood for it. When a co-worker suggested I try Little Coyote I was all over it it's less then ten minutes from my house with big slices that you can fold in half, why wouldn't I be all over it. I tried Tuesday after work and was told getting just a slice was no such luck. Normally I'd suck it up and get a whole pizza but it's $20 bucks and I'll most likely waste more then half of it. Not a big left over person. They sell sliced from 12pm-2pm which is usually the lunch rush so I get it. BUT hey people like slices at night too. I even checked the website before heading over. Oh well you win some and I clearly lost this one. Honestly that's mostly the reason for the four stars. But if it ain't broke don't fix it. I finally made it during the slice hour: I got two slices of pepperoni and a caesar salad. The salad: is nothing to write home about. Good lettuce, crispy croutons enough dressing to cover the entire salad but not to drawn it in dressing. I most likely won't get it again nothing against the salad but I wanted to treat it more of a side salad but it can honestly be it own meal. If you go with someone I think I it's enough to slip between two maybe even three people depending on how much salad you want. The Pizza:, I've had a lot of pizza in my life, but this was delicious. Crispy but not tough browned but right without a brunt taste to it. Not to mention the pop up pepperoni adding the extra crispiness to the entire experience. I'd say one slice is enough but I'd grab two just in case, but remember only 12-2 is slices. I wouldn't say to plan a trip for the pizza but if you are in the area and want pizza I suggest to stopping by. If you are ever on 4th and want a descent slice and a nice staff I saw stop by. I have ordered pizza for delivery twice from the retro row location. Both times the pizza is left out side the gate of my place. This time the pizza was late and I took a chance to go check, saw it sitting on the fence, when I opened the box tons of flies flew out. This is a horrible customer experience and plain lazy. The last time this happened I called and complained and they said they can't control what door dash does. But the replacement pizza that came an hour later, that door dash driver called me and I came out to meet them. Clearly it's possible to make the call, out of three deliveries twice some lazy driver did the bare minimum. Shame on door dash for a half-assed delivery. Shame on little coyote for letting a bad customer experience continue and turn me off from ever buying from them ever again! This is the second time coming here- my partner and I wanted to grab some pizza for date night and we live in the valley so it was a drive to get there. But we were willing since The pizza was really good. My rating is a 3 star bc the pizza was just as good, However, the service man.. it was terrible that is a one star honestly. All the tables were dirty and had used cups and water bottles and old food from people who were there earlier. We just moved some of the stuff and cleaned up a table we found. The trash bin was piled up outside and it was hard to even put any trash in there. I even saw an employee just add more trash on top instead of taking it out. It was really disappointing to see the lack of carelessness in the service. Even the people in the front register did not seem very personable either. You already know I had to come in to Little Coyote for a good pizza. This time around I got the WholeVeggie Supremo which was pretty good but not as good as the white pie (a classic). The taste is bland but the individual veggies take a stand with each bite. You can really tell how fresh the veggies are. The crust itself is on the line of doughy and hard which is welcoming for all. I reheated my pizza in the broiler and it was a great reheat. Little coyote is a hit in my house and in long beach. I had to use multiple paper towels to try and absorb all the grease off the top of the pepperoni pizza and it was still greasy. It's awesome that they sell certain pizzas by the slice so you can try different ones. However, the three of us wanted to try the white pie, so we ordered a full pie. We were also intrigued by grandma's slice (cheese). The white pie was super unique and delicious!!! The white pie has a white sauce, dollops of ricotta, spinach, and Calabrian chilies. I usually love a pizza with red sauce, but the white sauce was perfect and gave this pizza a spinach-artichoke dip-like flavor. The Calabrian chilies gave the pizza the perfect kick. Caesar Salad? Comes undressed in a to-go plastic clamshell with a to-go sauce container filled with dressing (even if you dine-in). That's crazy. Ambiance and service? Had the white pizza and it's amazing, thin, creamy, spicy. The pepperoni square was thick, soft with small yummy pepperoni. An unexpected winner were the meatballs! I eat here often and the pizza is usually great. Today I ordered a slice and it was very stale - like week old pizza. They remedied the issue and gave me a new slice. Also I had the meatball sub and it was horrible. Very mushy, bread was soggy, and the meat wasn't seasoned well. Not at all good. I will never get that again. Gotta say that I wasn't disappointed in this instance. I got a pepperoni slice and it was great overall. Wasn't too greasy, perfect amount of tomato sauce, and the crust was delicious. Employees were super friendly and it's in a great location in LB (it's easy to walk to other shops and get some cool records, clothes, pairings, etc.) I definitely dropped the ball by not getting the white pizza. Now this is some seriously good pizza. There's a reason why it's so popular. The crust is thin, but not too thin. New York style, chewy and salty. The kind that makes you want to eat every bite of the crust, even the part without cheese. The White Pie will not disappoint. It has all the good stuff: a couple of cheeses, white sauce, and just enough spinach. And the best part is a whole pie is only $19, a great price for pizza at this level. The menu is rather small. In addition to the pizzas they offer an Italian and a meatball sub, and an antipasto and a Caesar salad. They take online orders which was really efficient on a Friday night. At busy times they will stop accepting online and phone orders in which case you have to go in person. When I first checked, online orders were not available. Later, I was getting ready to head out to order in person but I checked and the online ordering was available again. Be prepared for about a 50 minute wait time for the pizza. I'm not sure if ours was done early or we were late, but it was just warm by the time we got it. A few minutes in the air fryer and it was good as new. The Papa Joe with Italian sausage and mushroom is calling my name for next time. read more

The pizza was just OK. We got The Vegan Pizza and there was just nothing special about it. The dough was anything you would find at a regular pizza place in town. The crust was not particularly crispy or uniquely chewy. The veggies were common, nothing exotic and not very many of them for a vegan pie. The sauce was just sauce. Not bad, just nothing very enjoyable and damn was it expensive. I have had better pizza and flavor combinations at a number of other spots in LB not far from here. There is SO MUCH HYPE about this place, so I really wanted to like it. Just not sure what the gushing reviews are about, other than they have cool logos and merch. read more
