I'm not sure why it took me so long to try this place but I've been missing out! They specialize in New York style pizza which is my fav type of pizza. I got their special Killing Me Softly which has pepperoni, white sauce, mozzarella, calabrian, honey, and basil. It was love at first bite! The flavors worked so well together. I loved how it was savory yet a little sweet due to the honey with a little bit of a kick because of the calabrian chili. They also have tons of craft beer options! At $28 for the pizza pie however I do wish it was a bit more affordable but it's definitely something I'll treat myself to once in a while! The inside dining area is small and intimate and there's a small patio area outside. There's either street parking that can be tough to find a spot depending on the time and day you go but there's also a small lot that you can pay to park. read more

Good pizza, but probably the worst service in Long beach. Ordered two slices of cheese, had to go the counter after 15 minutes because they clearly forgot. There was a slice just sitting there, so they said one 1 more slice will take 4 more minutes, waited another 10, walked up and they had given my slice away to someone else, asked me to wait 5 more minutes and expected to give me the cold slice sitting out. I just asked for my money back and walked out. Person at the service counter didn't look like they cared in the slightest. Not going back here. Maybe spend less time catering to Doordash orders and more time catering to your customers who show up. read more

There was a gnat circling my table the entire time and there were food stains on the table when I went to sit down. The food tasted stale and the ingredients were clearly not fresh. My girlfriend got the caesar salad and the croutons were so stale they were painful to chew. The server was very rude and placed my girlfriend's salad in front of me even though I already had my food. About two weeks ago I ordered two pizzas, 2 ranches, and 1 hot honey (came out to over $70 with $5 tip). When I walked into the establishment the young people working there were huddled in a conversation at the podium. The social interactions were kind of awkward and only one employee (I assume the manager) was looking me in the eye and actually interacting in a friendly way. Normally I wouldn't care about this kind of stuff but what actually set me off was that I came home and there was NO RANCH in the bag. I assumed the ranch's presence because I received a bag that felt like it had condiments in it. But it was only the hot honey. Again, these are such small inconveniences and I know that. But when I decide to splurge and spend 70 DOLL HAIRS on my hungover lunch with my boyfriend, quite frankly I expect an IMMACULATE experience. The customer service should be top notch and I shouldn't be missing things from my EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE order. This situation truly sat in my nervous system all day that day and I know that sounds crazy but I couldn't believe I was overcharged for pizza served to me by entitled young hipsters and they still can't do their easy job correct and put some damn ranch in the bag. It's so easy to smile at a customer and make their order correct. ESPECIALLY when you are stealing $70 from me for some pizza. BE SO FOR REAL ABOUT THAT PRICE OMFG. But that being said, I eat every crust from every slice from this pizza joint , not including the slice that Frank our husky received last night. I enjoy the pizza here, although I usually prefer my pizza overloaded with toppings and this spot doesn't seem to be known for doing that. Ingredients seem to be high quality and fresh here, this includes their antipasto salad, that had some really delicious cheese on it. You can easily order a pizza for takeout or enjoy your pie inside their restaurant that's bright and inviting or on their cute parklet outside, which is great for people watching and bringing your fur baby to the restaurant. We came in a few nights ago for the first time for a couple of slices to go and wow what pizza! We each had a slice of the white pie and it was so flavorful. I especially enjoyed how it wasn't greasy like a lot of other white pies are. The crust was excellent and crisp with wonderful bite and the Calabrian chilies added just the right touch of heat and zip. The inside of their establishment isn't much to look at, but it does offer a few spots to dine in. They also have a small covered patio outside. What really stood out to me is their staff. The service here is above and beyond incredible. While we were here, we witnessed them showing kindness to their community and I can say with a full stomach and heart that Little Coyote doesn't only make good pizza, they're good humans too. Feels: Retro Row has a pleasant charm especially at night, great place to people watch and on the occasion you'll be blessed with street performers. It looked pretty fancy as I observed people ordering siding it with wine however this can be a pretty casual pizza spot. Great for a date night or if you're just a pizza fan. FOOD: Queen Margherita (with Pepperoni) Pizza (Recommend) Delicioussss. New York style (large and thin slices) with a lot of sauce with simple toppings. Crust was crunchy and thin, the basil had a good kick, pepperoni was well scattered, and the cheese was minimal. I expected it to be more cheesy but moreover had more sauce, I guess that's the style here. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! The Italian sandwich is AMAZING. It's around $16 out the door but worth every penny. It's a small sandwich but it will fill you up. The staff is always friendly and the sandwich only takes 15 minutes. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area which is awesome. Oh and the pizzas are so good. I loved the location and the workers here, but I did not love the grandma slice :( Usually I'm a huge fan of grandma slices/any sort of square pizza, but I wish I tried a traditional slice instead. There was not enough sauce at all so it just felt like I was eating a huge piece of focaccia. In addition to the lack of sauce, I wasn't a huge fan of the cheese - I'm not sure if it's because the slice wasn't reheated enough, but it was very tough. I have been wanting to try this place out for the longest time but this area can get pretty busy. Luckily, we were attending Beach Streets and the streets were closed so made it that more accessible. The place itself is pretty small and is located int he heart of Retro Row. There is street parking and a small parking lot at the end of the corner. I suggest getting there early because that parking lot does fill up quick. As soon as I walked in, a lady took my order. They text you once your order is ready. You can wait inside or outside. There are a few booths inside and a few tables outside. We ended up ordering a basic Cheese pizza and a Pepperoni pizza. Both tasted really good. The cheese was fresh and was melted perfectly. The pizza sauce was not overpowering. I've never had a New York styled pizza and I was def a fan so will come back to try some other pizza.
