They went above and beyond good customer service, including the manager who was very welcoming. The food tasted homemade, and the portions were excellent for the price. Oh myyyyyyyy I LOVE this place, it was my 1st time there, I was met by the owners which are four cousins. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I felt like I was at home in a comfortable environment. The waitresses were amazing Char was 1 of them. For your 1st time they offer you samples, food & drink if you like. The food was very soulful, comforting & delicious. I found this place a year ago since is near LBCC. I love the dulce de leche crepé. The staff is very friendly and the food is tasty. If you love to eat at places where the service and food quality is great for a reasonable price, this is the place for you. Super disappointed today I was totally looking forward to a great breakfast since the last time I came I had an amazing mouth full experience with asada chilaquiles but this time my food was cold so I told the waiter and she kindly removed my plate to fix the problem but when she returned she brought back a microwaved asada chilaquiles plate, so super soggy. I of course told the waiter to return my plate I decided to leave after my kids finished there French toast and waffles I was still hungry! I spoke with a manager she apologized offered to make a, new plate but I no longer had an appetite for what I originally came in for and honestly didn't trust anyone making my food after having to return my plate twice. I'm giving them 3 stars because the first time I came the breakfast was delicious this time they didn't even care to re make it the first time I sent it back instead stuck it in the microwave and of course removed it from the check sooo bumbed out read more

My name is Tamara. My husband and I eat here every Sunday. Amazing place to go. The prices ROCK and the service is way beyond expectations. They always greet us and not even seconds after being seated our favorite waitress is there to hand me my ice tea with extra lemon. I am stage 4 cancer and terminal. They understand me and treat me like I am a part of their family. I have Chemo every Friday and this is the first place I go to when I am able to eat. They cheer me up and I wish I could take all of them home with me. The manager is so friendly too. He even asks us for suggestions on what to put on the menu!!!! Can you believe that! If you are a vegetarian, try the loaded hash browns with broccoli and spinach added!!! place Rocks in my book. Please try them out if you are ever in the area. You wont regret it. Place is trash. Customer service is horrible. My girlfriend and I went here ordered a crepe combo and a basic combo nothing else. Waited THIRTY MINUTES only to have the people next to us (who ordered almost 10 minutes after us) get their food (the woman got the exact same crepe meal as my gf) and her dad got a pretty large breakfast combo. I'm not sure if this place bases their customer priority in order or nationality of the customer, or if the waitress just forgot to place our order altogether. Absolute trash customer service, my gf and I got up and walked out. Called the store and asked to speak to a manager only to have the receptionist have a lengthy pause and then RUDELY say YES. Let me connect you to her. The manager was very polite and accommodating but unfortunately nothing could be done to save the situation. Sadly I ordered an orange juice I did not pay for but I think the 32 minute wait for 2 basic breakfast orders makes up for the 2.50 or so OJ. My gf loves this place but sadly I don't think we will be returning. Gonna make the longer drive to one of their other locations. read more

Ugh! I really wanted to love this place. I couldn't sleep last night, so I stayed up Yelping random businesses and I came across this one. Since sleep literally didn't come to me at all, I got ready at 6 just to head over and eat/relax here before school. I was the first customer of the day, which was cool, and both the cook and the waitress were super friendly, genuinely smiling and saying hello! Cool! Great! I liked this place already! I made small talk, telling her it was my first time, etc. She was really attentive in the beginning and the food was great comfort food (and everything people say about the hash browns here is true). Then more people started coming in, and I couldn't flag her down to pay. No biggie, even though I had class super soon I was being chill about it. I finally grab her attention and she sees me, doesn't ask me to hold on a sec and instead attends two other tables, and then comes by and grabs my card. Then she takes f o r e v e r processing it. I can see her waiting on her tables but I gotta go! It's only when I waited 10-15 min and started packing my backpack that she told me to finish paying at the front...and she only said that because she was on her way to waiting a table. At the register, she doesn't apologize, and only says, "Everyone came in at once." And I tip her over 20% and she doesn't say "thank you" or "have a nice day". She just processes the payment. Isn't it common courtesy? I understand she's just one person and she's busy. I TOTALLY get it. But apologize for the lag or something! You're the first person I'm seeing today and while the beginning was GREAT, the end was so half-assed. I mayyyy come back, but I'm feeling discouraged. Not bad for staple diner food. Had the chicken fajita omelette for breakfast, great protein meal. Stayed full and satisfied. Menu has a various selection, not even close to I Hop. I Hop is blahhhh...the building may be the only thing that screams I Hop. Good for parking and bussiness seemed steady without a horrible 30 min wait. We were seated within 5 min or so. I hope this place gets more business because the food was good and the service was excellent. The menu is interesting and not your typical diner fare. Chicken and waffles - waffles were fluffy, chicken strips were crunchy. Southwest chicken salad served in a tortilla bowl was large and fresh. Nacho cheese asada fries were gooey and tasty but the fries still had some crunch. Prices can't be beat. This place was really good. The food is a decent price and nothing is super greasy. The only reason why I'm giving for stars is because the customer service was a little off. Also, they didn't inform me about extra charges. Such as I ordered pancakes but wanted a topping on it. It's $4-5 for a freakin topping!! I didn't know that, so when I got my bill I was disappointed. I know toppings cost but dang had I known that I would've been cool with butter and syrup. & "no refills on the strawberry lemonade" oh thanks I have ordered it and drank some. Not very good food. I had the chicken fried steak. The gravy was grey and appeared to not be anything like traditional sausage gravy. It had somewhat of a jelly feel to it and absolutely unappealing. I ate the eggs, toast, and hash browns. Coffee tasted like mud. My husband had the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were undercooked and gummy and the gravy was just like mine, grey and jelly consistency. The price is too high ($27.00+ Tip for breakfast for two). The server was nice and the restaurant appeared clean, although that could be due to all the empty booths. For a Saturday around 10:00AM you'd think it would have been busy. Sorry for the 2 star review, but it is the best I can do. Sadly, we won't be back. read more

My wife and I were in town for the Joyce Meyer conference half the power was out due to a underground transformer blowing ,we were staying at the motel 6 next door I was very skeptical of this place I figured it could just be a tourist trap type of place with bad food but most other places were closed do to power outage and the traffic lights were out so we went for it not expecting anything .We were pleasantly surprised great service great food awesome pancakes I hope to get stuck in Long Beach again so we can eat there again. read more
