Service was good, despite lots of Spurs fans keeping the bartenders and waiter staff busy. Hostess greeted us immediately and was able to get us a high top in the bar area. We used to come here quite often. I liked the ribeye steak and my wife liked the fried chicken breast. But, we've stopped going for the exact reasons we found tonight. This was our 56th Wedding Anniversary and we wanted a fine meal. We didn't get it. My wifed ordered a fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes. Normally and in the past they have allowed her to order a "luncheon portion" or just one breast. They did not this time with no explanation at all... it just wasn't allowed. So, they bring out this plate full of what initially looked like a big, a very big pile of rocks! Ah, no, that was the two humongous fried chicken breast fired to a deep, deep dark brown. My wife tried to put a fork in the top one and it was almost impenetrable! She also said she only wanted one of the fried chicken breast but got two of these huge pieces of fried breading. The server just asked if she wanted to take one home, but no, we didn't, because she couldn't eat it at home either! So our server just took one of the fried chicken breast off her plate and took it away! Yes, I should have asked for the manager at this time, but I wanted the server to fix the problem. As she was taking the extra chicken breast back to the kitchen, we clearly heard another server saying that chicken breast shouldn't have even been brought out, it was greatly over cooked. So, my wife attempts to eat the other fried chicken breast which she manages because she had a knife and fork to cut away all the breading which resulted in a moderate to small piece of chicken. I got my ribeye steak which was fine except it was greatly over spiced, but I was used to their steaks being prepared this way. Most of my family won't go to the Longhorn Steakhouse just because they over spice their steaks. This one was a good example. Still, I ate most of it. While we did eat and we did complain to the server that our meal wasn't the best and why. She didn't care one bit and just brought out the check. I know the manager was around but I had a suspicion that he was hiding somewhere not wanting to get involved. He sure didn't. I guaranteed we won't be going back, say until our next 56th Wedding Anniversary, which might just be impossible. This used to be a very good place to eat, but I suggest to all who have read this far to find something better, any place would be better. It had been a while since we had been to this Long Horn, but when your parents want to go you can't say no. I will say this location gets super busy, so we went a little early for dinner, around 4:30pm and it was perfect. No wait, and we had a nice booth. Our server took great care of us. The rolls were hot and fresh, delicious covered in their magic butter. Everyone enjoyed the steaks and meals, kids and adults. One of the oiliest steakhouses I've been to. I've eaten here a couple of times before as it's one of my relatives' favorite places to dine, but each time I've left disappointed with my meal and in gastrointestinal discomfort due to all of the oil. It doesn't matter if it's a steak, a pasta dish, or one of their sides, everything I've tried has come swimming in a pool of oil or butter. They seem to rely on an excessive use of it for flavor as there's either a noticeable lack of spices and seasonings or a very basic blend if any at all. Not to mention that if you're looking for a drink, it's safer to order a plain glass of wine or a beer as the cocktails and mixed drinks are mid at best. I will credit them with a consistently clean restaurant and friendly staff, but it's simply not enough for me to return on my own. Honestly after this last visit, I think I'll have to turn down dinner with the relatives all together if I cannot sway their decision in favor of literally anything else; both my fiancé and I felt atrocious afterwards. I have not been to Longhorn in over a decade and decided to come here since it was closer than any other option, and I wanted steak. I am so glad I did! As soon as sat down we were greeted, our drink and appetizer order was taken and hot fresh bread was brought out. The butter melted immediately against the steam, it was fabulous! We also ordered the Wild West Shrimp and WOW they were good! The little peppers and the ranch were perfect with it. And there were so many shrimp my husband made himself a little sandwich while we waited for our food. I got the house salad with ranch dressing and it was nice to see all the chopped veggies they add! It was a really good salad. My husband got the 6 oz filet and steamed broccoli and it was fabulous, just a pinch too red for him but super tender and still flavorful. I got the ribeye (22 oz I think) and the steakhouse Mac n cheese. My steak was excellent, I only needed to add a pinch of salt, and the mac was perfect! Cheesy, lots of bacon, toasted bread crumbs, it was great. It was also way too much food for me so I took the rest home to my son and he was thrilled and loved it. Our server was good, not too bothersome nor negligent, just right. And I love the rustic western decor in the dining room. They have changed my mind about eating at national chains. Had dinner here the other night with just my daughter and I, it was good but I wouldn't say it was satisfying. The service and the establishment are great, very clean great ambiance and the staff are very polite, although the food seemed very ordinary. It's hard to say it's a great steakhouse it actually gives me an immediate feel of regret for not cooking my own steak at home but I mean isn't that why you eat out? Our server Virginia was so amazing! We took friends here for the first time and she went above and beyond on everything. Our friend is gluten free and she knew the menu inside and out. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start and needed one the appetizers to come deconstructed for allergies and it came out perfectly. Virginia is the first waitress to actually follow through the harder orders to the kitchen to make sure everything was perfect. She joked with us and made our evening out that much more enjoyable. We ordered chicken fried steak, shrimp, steaks, the amazing buttermilk chicken sandwich, loaded bake potatoes, everyone had the broccoli and it was delicious. We have been placing online to-go orders at this location every couple of weeks for the past few months, typically on Fridays, and have consistently received good food and service. However, our experience on Friday, November 7, 2025, was very disappointing. We initially had difficulty placing our order online, as the site appeared unstable, but we were eventually able to submit it and received confirmation for a 4:45 PM pickup. Upon arrival, we called to let the restaurant know we were in curbside slot 3 and waited. At 5:00 PM we called again and were told that they were aware we were outside and that the order would be brought out shortly. Our food was not delivered until 5:10 PM. When we arrived home, all items that should have been hot--including the ribeyes, potato, okra, and broccoli--were cold. For a $70 order + Tip, we were very disappointed in both the service and the quality of the meal. My parents and I decided to stop at LongHorn Steakhouse while out and about the other day for a late lunch/early dinner. We were seated in the bar area at a booth which worked well for us. Once seated, we ordered iced teas and asked for the bread / cinnamon butter. We had to ask for the cinnamon butter a few times and kept being brought regular butter but it wasn't too big of a deal. The bread arrived warm and was soft/ fresh. I ordered the New York Strip Steak (Medium) w/ Asparagus. The steak was a bit tough and over cooked but still good overall. My father ordered the same meal and had the same experience with his being a bit tough. The asparagus however was perfectly cooked and delicious! My mom ordered the burger and thought it was OK. She ate it but said it wasn't an item she'd reorder. We also ordered fried okra and French fries for the table to share - these were delicious! Someone gave us a nice gift card for Christmas and we finally made it. We'd never been to a longhorn steakhouse before. We were seated right away and Jenny was our server. She was lovely. We had a real conversation and that was very nice. We were going to share a NY strip steak and salad, but we needed up getting the outlaw ribeye on Jenny's recommendation. She was right. This steak was good. It wasn't too fatty and the bone was small. The cut was very juicy. The bread was also nice as it was a honey oat loaf. We also liked the salad, but next time I'd ask for it to be lightly tossed instead. Chips were pretty good. The queso and brisket was awesome. We were out for our anniversary dinner celebrating 49 years. Staying close to home on Dec 30th. LongHorn has been doing a good job providing a great experience. We had a couple of issues with the 1st round of food (cold, overcooked, etc), but the response of the manager was excellent. Our second round of food (in the pictures) were exactly what we expected! Every Friday my husband and I choose either a new place or we choose to explore a new restaurant. Most of the time it's going to our favorites and most of all a place we won't be disappointed with. I mean after working a long week you want a delicious dinner to enjoy and to also kick off the weekend with a happy belly. Well this restaurant did not disappoint,it deserves the hype I'm about to give them. We arrived at 4:30pm there was maybe a handful of people and waiters and waitresses waiting for the Friday rush. We frequent Longhorn establishments at least 2-3 times a year. I want to say while we have enjoyed each, this one stands out as being one of the best I have been to. The service (Misty) was great. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed to make our lunch enjoyable. The food was awesome. We enjoyed the Texas Tonion as an appetizer. It was more than enough and very fresh tasting. Unlike other places you almost think that an onion was submerged in oil and you start tasting it as such. Not this one it was quite tasteful. I had the Cowboy Pork Chops which are cooked perfectly. And more than enough along with an appetizer of my choice. Sweet potatoe all the way made this meal complete. My partner enjoyed a simple combo strawberry chicken salad and brussell sprouts. The salad was nice and crispy. The brussell sprouts were crunch and had a wonderful flavor. The restaurant was quite clean and all the staff was attentive and on their best behavior to make you feel #1. Lately it seems you go to restaurants and staff is always on their cell phones or carry on a conversation. One seems to be forgetten. We ordered at 530-545 only to be told no baked potatoes, russet or sweet, but fries and mashed potatoes were available. So no baked potatoes? But you got I assume instant mashed potatoes and frozen fries? Waiter had no answers other than we're out of baked potatoes. Food arrived, two steaks were room temperature or less. We asked for them to be reheated. That's was done. I went to the men's restroom. All I see are baked potatoes!! Asked waiter again, how's that possible we were here way before these other customers. Nope, they ordered their food before you. Never, ever ever again. This play sucks. No customer service. You would think a manager would come by to visit us since we asked 3-4 times about the lack of baked potatoes. Nope. Nothing. Don't waste your time or money. Go to Texas Roadhouse, or anywhere else. This place lies to you and the food is terrible. All 4 of us agreed to never return. I cannot stress the amount of disappointment and disrespect I have from this experience. So had to order w a separate lady then go order with the bartendar. Food was terrible. The ribs were not tender. They don't even know you have to remove the membrane. The burger was plain with, I kid you not...a piece of tiny bacon ripped in half to try and make it look like 2 strips. This place charges like they know what they're doing. But they do not. 10/25/25 I decided to order out yesterday from the Longhorn at 22503 N US Hwy. San. Antonio, Tx (Stone Oak Parkway). When I arrived as well as another customer, we provided our names and were instructed to wait at the bar. The manager came out and said hello to the male, causation gentleman. He proceeded to ask the gentleman if he would like a drink while he waited for his food. Due to our first name beginning with an S, I said "NO THANK YOU". The manager looked at me then turned to the gentlemen and called his name again, and asked him if he would like a drink while he waited. I could not believe what happened. I was being discriminated against. The manager walked away, then the waitress came with my food and I told her what accrued. She apologized to me, then offered me a drink. I thanked her, but declined and expressed my concerns. I asked her to let the manager know that he was very rude and disrespectful. I thanked her for her professionalism. I gave her a tip, and thanked her again! I will not be returning to this Longhorn due to the treatment by management. What happened at this Longhorn doesn't reflect my opinion on all of them. I am writing this because companies that do not respect ALL people, brown and black, should NOT be patronized by them either. I do realize that I am in San. Antonio now not Florida.
