I had been eager to inevitably try Mañana and while having a staycation in downtown Austin for a wedding nearby, my girlfriend and I made a pit stop to Mañana to give it a shot. As we got there, there was a line to the door. It was right off the path of the Ann and Roy Butler Trail, so many people were stopping by post workout. A group of bikers at the bike shop next door had also stopped by. It was busy! The line moved pretty hastily, and before we knew it, it was our turn to order. My girlfriend ordered a latte using their new ube cold foam while I got a traditional vanilla latte. For 2 coffees, it was almost $20, which is pretty intense even for Austin. If the coffee cleared, I'd make a case. As the Fcukers played inside the shop, we hung around waiting for our coffee until it was ready. The inside was kinda small for seating and every seat was taken, but there's a ton of shaded seats outside. The coffee was pretty good. A real great balance of the espresso to the vanilla syrup to the oat milk. It wasn't quite $10 worthy, but was in the top range of lattes I've had in Austin. I see myself going back, but the price tag makes the trip less urgent than I would have expected. I hate to hammer that home as my biggest reaction from the place, but it's just a shocking expenditure. The staff were great and friendly, the atmosphere and space were great, and the coffee was superior to a lot of places in Austin. I'll go back sometime soon. I finally tried the mango sticky rice matcha! I am both a mango sticky rice and matcha lover so I had to put it on my list to try it. I like it but I was imagining some rice pieces as a topping. The mango is syrupy and I wish there were mango pieces at the top. Matcha is ok. The price after tax is $9.20, which is one of the most expensive matcha drink I've ever ordered in Austin. Mañana has two locations-downtown (this one) and South Congress. It was my first time at this location and it seemed a lot smaller than the South Congress one. I think the South Congress one is prettier and has a nice private patio. There's free WiFi and they validate parking at the Gables Park Tower Garage for an hour. You would need to scan the QR code in the garage to start the parking and enter your card details. The minimum you can pick is two hours but once you scan the Mañana QR code on the counter where you order, the time resets to one hour and if you exit the garage before then, the charges fall off. They sell merch and have a cute mini art machine! I like the unique flavor. However, this is a one and done thing for me. I can't justify the price when there are larger drinks at boba/matcha places for less. read more

I stopped by Mañana Cafe with my walk club group (about 17 of us), and everyone ordered a mix of matchas and iced coffees. Unfortunately, the overall experience was a bit underwhelming. Most of the drinks came out very watery and lacked the rich flavor you'd typically expect my matcha included. It just didn't have that smooth, strong taste, and several others in the group said the same about their orders. But I did have a large group come in all at once, so I'm hoping it may have just been an off day for them. The space itself was nice, and the staff was friendly, so I'd honestly be open to giving this cafe another try in the future and seeing if the drinks hit differently next time. read more

The mango part is only syrup. I know other places put a real piece of dry mangos on top. The matcha is also not that rich in flavor and fragrant. It's still good, but nothing to blow me away. One the first Monday of every month, Nike Run Club hosts a "Mañana Mosey" from this coffee shop. After a 3-mile run on Lady Bird Lake trail, Nike provides coffee from Mañana Dos. I tried the "King Bee," a coffee containing salted honey + rosemary latte topped with smoked maldon salt, iced or hot. I chose hot, since it was a little chilly this morning. The coffee was very delicious; the honey didn't make it too sweet, and the touch of salt and rosemary balanced out the flavor. The servers do a great job of keeping up with all the runners' orders in a timely and friendly fashion, calling out the names when the drink is ready. What a friendly and inviting spot to grab a drink. I walked in around 8am on a Wednesday and it was quite crowded. Luckily, there was no line and a few races left over. Sure, the coffee is decent, but with inflated pricing for a one-size small latte, I'm seriously debating if it's time to invest in an espresso machine and start making my own at home. The baristas were very nice and took my order and made my drink promptly. I got the mango sticky matcha latte. It cost me around $9. For the price of the drink, the matcha should be better quality. It tasted a bit stale and there wasn't nearly enough so it tasted like I was drinking sweet milk with a hint of matcha. There also wasn't really a sticky rice component to the drink, most just mango syrup. Hopefully they can improve on the match. The coffee here was pretty decent. read more

There is plenty of seating inside and outside too. I got a seasonal orange mocha latte with oat milk (+$1 for syrup and alt milk each). It came out very quickly. I struggled to taste the notes of orange, but the mocha flavor was strong. It was not too sweet, but on the thinner side. This is such a unique coffee shop! I first learned about it from meeting a run club outside of their shop. Many people mentioned Manana when I first moved here, so I knew it was popular. After a day of shopping at BookPeople and the surrounding area, we took a short walk to try out Mañana. They had a large outdoor seating space, and I loved the decor inside. I am a dog lover, so I really enjoyed taking in their dog-themed merchandise and the "Pups of Mañana" wall. They also had coloring pages with crayons for the kids, which I thought was adorable. For my order, i opted for The Ram. It consisted of earl grey, espresso, clarified milk, and cherry syrup. It was sweet and tasty. I would definitely order it again. I also loved the music that they had playing. I also liked how proceeds go toward a good cause. The Ram is April's "Cause Drink", with $1 from each sale donated to the Austin Parks Foundation. We typically gauge a coffee shop based on their espresso and we were disappointed here. If you prefer sweetened coffee, however, I think you will be happy enough. The service is good and the ambiance is really nice too, and they have a cute little shop of other non coffee things so I do think this would be a great place for a quick hangout. I'm not a coffee drinker but I love matcha. I love matcha with oat or soy milk and if it can come flavored like with honey or lavender or strawberry ( my fav) then I feel like it is really special. So when I saw that they had house- made pistachio syrup as an add-in, Unfortunately I gave four stars because I couldn't taste pistachio anything in my drink and we were already walking back once I took enough sips but I'll be back to give it another go. I was so freaking excited to try. I pass by this location all the time to go to work but as a person who is not into coffee, I don't see what the difference is in all these coffee shops, because Austin has A LOT. What I will say is... it's in walking distance of my job which means I can have a quick getaway and work remote for a bit and get some steps in. I can also get some matcha with a couple of twists I can't get anywhere else, and this place has snacks, wine, non-alc, supplements, cute little gifts, merch. We stopped in here on a trip to the Library as the Cafe in the library, the cookbook had closed. As I find myself saying more often now, this is not my type of place. Shana picked it as she is the coffee drinker and I have never taken to it. The place is nice, lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They have water bowls for your dogs as it is near a walk and bike trail and a area to throw frisbees and let your dog run around. Very popular and busy even in the short time we stopped there. Shana got a Latte of some sort, the foam art was well done. See attached picture. They had some fun items for sale and we did try the Kolaches which had 3 different prices, one on the sign where the Kolaches were displayed, a different price on the menu, and yet a 3rd price they charged us. As it was a relaxing day I didn't make a big deal though the charged price was higher but not by a huge amount. Sadly even with them warming them up in the microwave the Kolaches were still pretty cold and not really that good. Even the warm parts, neither of us was impressed. The Latte was good according to Shana and the place was quiet, more so then your average Starbucks. They had a massage chair option in one corner which no one used while we were there but that is a cool feature and a nice option. Overall nice place but don't think we will return. It didn't really stand out in any way and the Kolache issues really soured me on the place. It gets the 3 stars instead of 2 due to service being good and the Latte Foam Art. read more

I've been going around Austin trying matcha lattes and the one here is pretty good! The color was super green but the matcha flavor could've been stronger. I suggest getting a neutral sweetener because I got lavender syrup and it was pretty overpowering. My friend tried the valentines special cherry matcha latte and the different flavors did not mix well- the cherry flavor was not there and they added some type of cheese foam that was way too cheesy and would clump up. But the service and the atmosphere of the resturant was nice and its a great place to WFH! read more
