Madam Mam's is consistently good. We do takeout and dine-in. Both are fantastic. Pretty much the same as Sap's. The service is good as well and the menu and atmosphere is kid friendly. Since it's close to Randall's, we'll often do a "family walk" through the grocery store afterwards to work off calories and pick up a thing or two. Love the flat noodle with Chinese broccoli and shrimp. Incredible. Saps rolls and chicken wings are also on our regular rotation here. read more

I've dined here several times and just realized I hadn't posted a review so here it goes.... this last time I dined here, I ordered the shrimp pad Thai and OMG it was amazing! The waitress offered some type of 'chili' - I didn't have a clue what she was referring to so I said to myself "why not" so I said YES, please! I sprinkled a little bit not knowing what it would taste like and DAYUM it was delicious however I was still conservative on sprinkling a lot more on top. I ordered a large hot sake....it wasn't hot at all but I didn't care. Usually I would have said something to please warm it up more but I was chillin that day and didn't mind. Long story short, I would definitely return here to dine for lunch or dinner. I felt bad that their staff was short staffed due to covid so maybe that's why I didn't 'complain' about the cold sake. Next time IF the hot sake isn't hot, I'll ask for them to heat it up. The previous time we dined here, we ordered another type of noodle dish and it was decadent! Their flavors are always on point. Solid Thai food for both dine in or take out. The decor is lack luster but service is great. I recommend the Pad Thai and Pad Sea Ew.

I've been coming here since HS, not this location, but it's always been the same great food. I have so many favorite dishes, but lately I've been eating S3. It's a chicken salad blended with spicy Thai sauce that sits over a bed of rice and lettuce. It's amazing. I'm a huge fan of the egg rolls and Thai tea too. This is one of our go to dinner places. Good Thai food with a spacious dining area and attentive staff. Our favorites are pad prik king, po tak, Tom kha, special parang curry and white rice with mango. If you want your pad Thai with rich flavors and saucy, this is the place to get it. Service is always fast and portions are generous. You can customize the spice levels for the dishes but beware, they don't joke around with spicy level 3 and up. I am seriously struggling with all of the high praise and 4+ star reviews. I realize many self proclaimed "foodie's" inhabit Austin and are unaware of what authentic food should taste like, which is surprising considering the abundance of authentic restaurants from countless different cultures. I've had excellent Thai, even Americanized but this place takes it to a whole new level. I'd say skip this place if you are diabetic, and bring a toothbrush even if you aren't. My go-too dishes whenever I try a new Thai place are the green papaya salad, and Tom Yum Goong. The salad was a sugar festival and there was no spice of any kind. I asked if they had any Thai chilies and was told not. The soup was pretty bland, even though I asked for it "Thai hot". An epic disappointment. If you want something more authentic, with much more customizable spice levels, I recommend checking out Sap's Ver Fine Thai Cuisine on Westgate Blvd. That place is top notch. To this day, I have never been disappointed by this restaurant. Their gyoza is delicious, and the sauce makes a perfect pair with it. I love their Thai tea SO MUCH. I also like that they serve Ramune. I recently tried the Bankrupt noodle, as I was looking for a classic pad thai that wasn't a long drive away. I was so pleasantly surprised by these noodles. They were a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy. I paired it with a side of plain white rice to soothe my tongue a little. My mom got the Pad sea-ew and was a fan as well, and she's a harsh critic when it comes to food. Overall, I love this place and the food is consistently delicious. Sorry, no pics. I always go to the Madam Mam's in West Campus and this one is by far much nicer! Most likely because this location caters to working adults and not students. The ambience is casual but also great for a date. The service is very nice and the servers are very kind. The food is amazing! So much tastier than the West Campus location. My boyfriend and I ordered the Bankrupt Noodles and Kao Soi. They were both perfect for a chilly day. I will definitely be coming to this location again! read more

We had the chicken wings with three different sauces each was perfectly sticky, spicy and flavorful! The Thai coffee was delicious, sweet and gone faster than I wanted but hit the spot! We also tried the A9 Mieng Kim - fabulous! Ginger, coconut, peanuts and lookout for the tiny bit of red chilie! Kapow!!! S3 beef with salad and watch that dressing!! Firefly and fantastic! Honestly, one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to in Austin. The service is relatively good. I've been there twice. Once with a large party of about 16 and the second was just my boyfriend and me. I ordered the Madam Man's specialty curry - P42 I believe. It was the yellow curry with beef, potatoes and onion. I ordered it at level 5 but it wasn't spicy at all. My serve did give me some Thai chili pepper on the side to help with the spice. & at that moment, it was at the perfect level of spice. I also ordered the pad see ew with beef. The beef was a little dry and so were the noodles. It wasn't anything special. I got a level 4 spice for this and it wasn't spicy. My boyfriend who can't tolerate spice that well, thought it was just a little bit spicy. We also ordered some Brussels sprouts and they were delicious. Perfectly roasted. It was sweet (not one but spicy). On the menu, there's a chili pepper on it, but not one but spicy. I added some chili flakes on it and it still wasn't spicy, but I wasn't disappointed. It was still delicious. The edamame is also amazing. Subtle spice but not overly spicy. It was really good! I love their pandan tea. It is super refreshing. It has the subtle pandan flavor. Very little ice which is perfect because it takes me awhile to finish a drink. Even when the ice melted, the flavor was still there! This place really went down hill. I've spent most my life waiting tables; it was a work of art the way this person got every single last item wrong (especially when it comes to dietary restrictions)! Ordered Madam Mam's Thai Cuisine for the first time. The Pad See-Ew and Basil Fried Rice came piping hot wrapped tightly in foil, genius. Why doesn't everyone do that? Anyways, the basil fried rice was probably one of the better versions of the dish that we've had in Austin, it even came with some heat. The noodles, sadly the noodles lacked flavor. We went from the highest high to the lowest low. Okay, the Pad See-Ew wasn't that bad but honestly, how can they play with our emotions like that? We're willing to try this place again specifically because of the fried rice but next time, we'll go for a classic dish, the pad thai. read more

I went so long not knowing this place existed! Call me a fool! I started with a couple of apps to get the party started. Chicken Satay and SSS brussels sprouts. I was blown away by the brussels, not to spicy and sweet enough to balance it out. For the main I got the chicken pad thai, it was definitely different from what i've had in the past. They almost grilled it enough that it had some crisp to the top layer of the noddles. I definitely like that about it since I like crispy anything. Great Thai food, short wait and great service. I'm from Houston and we're on known for diverse food. This places is definitely comparable to the Thai restaurant I have been to. Thai Tea- the perfect amount of tea and milk. Thai Coffee - reminds me of my homeland coffee Thai wings- we got the Zesty Red a kick of the spice of Asian sauces and spices Tom yum soup- at first I thought this can't be spicy at all, clear broth. Maybe pick up orders aren't their forte but for a web ordering system that is adamant against modifications you would think they could at least deliver what the website describes. This did not happen. For a Pad Kee Mao with 3 spice stars did not arrive spicy at all. It also didn't have any sauce on it at all. After paying $2 extra for fried tofu, I got 4 pieces of sautéed tofu. The shrimp spring rolls I ordered had to be switched to tofu. Overall super disappointing, does not deserve the 4 star rating. Also please try to help the environment and use less styrofoam and foil. read more

I've heard good things about this place so I wanted to try it. I did and it was okay. I'd say.. it's a restaurant that you can try if it is on the way but not worth try if it out of your way. I had F11, stir fried flat noodle with beef. There was no wow factor. It was not flavorful. I would describe it as the sauce and the noodle were on its own. The service is slow and distracted - everyone was hanging out back in the kitchen and we had no hostess initially and when she did reluctantly seat us in an 80% empty restaurant on a Monday afternoon, forgets to give us enough cutlery or kids menus. After a really long time someone showed up to take our order, only to inform us that their noodles and curries are not in fact vegetarian -- and have fish sauce -- despite the fact that their online menu indicates some options are. Service was nil so I had to find us our own cutlery because once again they were all super busy chattering in the kitchen. My husband and I are fans of this restaurant. We are always seated promptly and the service is always friendly. We order the same dishes and are pleased with the quality, the quantity, and the taste. I get the Panang curry with either tofu or Chinese broccoli and my husband gets yellow curry with chicken. I find the Panang curry to be pleasingly spicy, but not too spicy and just a little bit sweet. I always have enough to take some home, and my husband eats all of his. Our most recent discovery is Madam Mam's wings! Oh my goodness are they delicious. There are a number of flavor options, all inspired by Thai ingredients and flavors. We've tried at least three of their sauce options and they have all been delicious. I would say the wings alone are worth a trip to Madam Mam's. read more
