My mom ordered the Tom yum with noodles and the soup itself was OK but the noodles were very hard somen style. It was supposed to be seafood but only had very small bits inside of imitation crab, squid, and shrimp. I would go back because it was decent food but I've definitely had better Thai. Staff was nice but the bathroom was pretty filthy. The large stall is boxed in and there's dirt and debris along the corners. They said they left the back door open and that's why a fly was hanging around the table. Service itself wasn't terrible but I did have to get my own chopsticks and ask for straws. Do not order any food that has seafood in it. My last soup bowl I got was a seafood soup base and the seafood (shrimp, scallops, mussels) were dry, tuff and the scallops were hard, chewy and stringy. Madam Mam's is a tricky one to review, because there are a few locations, there have been a few owners of those various locations, and the quality has varied wildly as a result. That said it has stayed consistently good. The original owners of the original locations were incredible. Food blog, travel magazine incredible. Now, it's still good Thai food, and you won't be disappointed, it's just not what it use to be. Note that this review is just for this location, cause like I said, there are a few locations, and the quality varies. Some are better, some are worse, this one is probably the second best (behind the one in Bee Cave, but who wants to drive out there) and I have no complaints. First off, get the Thai Tea, it's life changing. Then go online and buy some Thai Tea mix, because while there's is great, all Thai Tea is great and you can easily make it at home. But, still get theirs, cause MMMMmm. Get the Satay as an appetizer, and consider getting extra peanut sauce, cause that is the STAR of this restaurant. The Edamame is a good appetizer too. If your feeling weird or adventurous try the Thai Coco Queso, it's very unique. I don't think I'll order it again, but it was worth trying once for the experience. The other reason it's tricky to review here is that the menu is HUGE. MASSIVE. I could eat here everyday for a couple of month and still not try everything. I usually get the Masman Curry or the House Fried Rice. Also BEWARE the SPICY. Madam Mam's is famous for the incredible spice level, but also food that still tastes amazing and isn't just spicy. That said, push your limits, but be careful. You're not really getting the full Madam Mam's experience if you don't go spicy, but they ARE NOT playing around, and you will get burned. The wings and the spicy amazing green beans are the two best ways to experience the spice. Texas native with a husband who puts ghost pepper powder on just about everything he eats. I'm not joking. The spice is REAL, but also delicious and worth the pain IF you can take it. I would skip dessert. I've tried a couple over the years, and nothing impressed me, but they are unique dishes, so maybe worth trying once just to try it. read more

This review will be a little bias as some of the owners of this establishment are my neighbors, but it will be a true testament to the food and well as the quality of their character. In all honesty I didn't think I liked Thai food all that much, after eating at a few establishments. It's mostly because I had no idea what I was ordering. I had heard of Madam Mam's before but hadn't given it much thought. After talking to my neighbors, one of them gave me advice on what to order as a novice Thai Food eater. I gave it a shot and wow! It was amazing! I didn't even tell them I was going. The quality of the food and the service are unmatched as far as I am concerned. Very impressed. They are also very gracious leaders and supportive in our community. I had just mentioned that my child wasn't feeling well on social media and they were at my doorstep, not only with my favorites but also with specially made items for my child who is a plain Jane picky eater. They serve our school and teachers as well, never being asked always just out of the kindness of their hearts. That right there is just as important as the quality of their food which I might add is very authentic after learning more about it. If you haven't tried them or are new to the area I highly recommend Madam Mam's I believe their quality and service will speak for itself and you will definitely be impressed. If I could give 10 Stars I would! The interior design is absolutely amazing and so is the location. Very authentic with stone walls and arches. If you stop in for lunch they have a full menu and the daylighting with the large wall of windows is special. Full bar on the inside with lots of artwork adds the finishing to make it a wonderful dining experience. Parking is easy and the service is very authentic Thai. We were craving Thai food, so of course I Yelp Thai food around the area I was in and Madam Mam"s came up. We decided to give it a try. First the place is pretty cool they have these statue heads as you enter we started with a appetizer the Coco Queso which we actually enjoyed it very much! It's not your typical queso when you think of queso lol but this was very different you can definitely taste the coconut and it has pieces of chicken it's was very delicious, I ended up getting the pineapple fried rice, and OMG THE SERVING WAS SOO MUCH!! I mean I'm not complaining! Definitely a lot it was so good! It had different meats in it which was great! All in one! And my husband got some curry I forgot to ask which one. This has been one of the best places I have gone to during the pandemic where Madam Mam's is taking all precautions and all measures seriously when you come in to pick up your food. Takeout only is offered and you can order online or over the phone. Once you open the door you are directly, by the signage in front and on the floor, where to go to pick up your food and make a payment. Plexiglass and barriers are anchored around the register, staff, and cooking areas. The pickup table is marked and the employee who checks you in and out will let you know which bag to pick up. You also will need to grab any chili, chopsticks (individually wrapped!), and condiments at a separate table just 6 feet away from the pickup order table. Food was piping hot, traveled well until we got home, and was delicious! This restaurant should not claim itself as an "authentic" thai restaurant when the explanation from management is that "this is American thai food" I have eaten thai food here State side and also in Thailand and this establishment did not meet the mark. Worst thai food and experience from management. The pad thai's noodles weren't fully cooked. The sauce made the noodles extremely gummy and the pork was over cooked. The panag curry was also terrible and tasted like american bbq sauce. There was no hint of curry or even coconut milk. I brought this to the manager on shift's attention who fought me to pay 50% for the entrees that I refused to eat and send back. Why would I eat undercooked noodles and over cooked pork/ shrimp. I like this place but the smell as of late makes it where I can't eat here. The scent of moth balls permeates the entire restaurant. The green curry and khao soi are good, but I have to order takeout because the restaurant smells so bad. I got spicy basil fried rice with chicken, madam's rolls and pad kee mao with flat noodles and chicken. All of the food was super delicious. Spicy basil fried rice was definitely Thai level spicy. It cleared out my sinus if not cleansed my soul with its heat. Hahaha! Painfully delicious! The quality and quantity of the food is good for the price. EATERS BEWARE! Some of my family members are allergic to tree nuts and we ordered pad see ew, green curry, and spring rolls from this Brodie location of Madam Mam's yesterday. The employees and a manager assured us that none of these items are supposed to contain any tree nuts and yet those of us who are allergic to tree nuts ate this food and subsequently vomited. When we brought this to their attention, they were not willing to dig deeper to see what may have caused our reaction--cross contamination, other unfresh ingredients, etc. They just told us to drink some warm water and feel better.
