Let me start this off by saying YES, YES, YES! I initially found out about this place a year or so ago on tiktok and instantly fell in love with Helen. Her authentic self is the perfect mix for not only good customer service but and fun experience overall. The portions are huge, like really huge. Like almost cant close the container huge. It easily can last me 2.5-3 meals every time. Theres plenty of seating and gives off the hole in the wall family owned restaurant experience I look for going around the world. She has gained a lot of popularity over the past couple months which has come with some longer wait times. But who's to complain! The community coming together to support this local business and get great food while their at it? That sounds like an amazing deal to me. The bad reviews could have easily been solved if they would of just called and put their order in advance, I've done this a couple of times. But the experience doesn't just come from the food it also comes with placing your order with Helen and for that I'll wait in any line. I've come to the point where she recognizes me and my girlfriend and crack a few of her own jokes she has for us. My recent visit to Marks Kitchen left much to be desired. Despite the hype surrounding the place, the reality fell far short of expectations. The chow mein, in particular, was a major letdown. The meat was undercooked and incredibly dry, resulting in stomach pains and subsequent diarrhea for myself and my companions. Not only was the food subpar, but the overall experience did not justify the steep prices. It's disheartening to see a restaurant receive such acclaim only to deliver such disappointing results. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Mark's Kitchen! The food was incredibly delicious every bite was a delight. The customer service was phenomenal the staff was attentive and kind, even while the place was bustling with activity. It was clear how popular this spot is, as the restaurant stayed busy the entire time we were there.
