As you can see, Kayla C. (Business Manager at Marlows) reached out and asked me to email her about my poor experience. I did so on May 9th and within 10 minutes received this response: "I appreciate you getting back to us. Again, we are very sorry about your experience, and I have forwarded your review and email contact to our managers so that they can get in touch with you." We randomly decided to go out to eat Sunday night and landed at marlows tavern. It did not disappoint. I got the French dip - delicious! The fire cracker shrimp appetizer (I think that was the name) was so yummy! The chick pea fries are my favorite too. Definitely going back more often can't believe I don't come here enough! read more

Just had an excellent lunch there! Food and service were awesome! I almost didn't come as three or four weeks ago I went to the Marlo's in Orlando by 50 and had the exact opposite experience. But I decided to take a chance and I'm very glad I did! read more

I paid 20 dollars for, what was supposed to be a prime rib sandwich. Just go to Arby's for a beef sandwich. They are much better than this place and cheaper and that is saying a lot. Our group was 5 adults and 4 children. The final bill was 348 dollars for LUNCH. Apple juice for a 5 year old child is 4 dollars. My daughter had salmon. It was overcooked and dry. Some of the appetizers were good. Overall, stay away. Extremely over priced. read more

I haven't had luck with the food there yet. The hummus appetizer wasn't creamy Nd light. I ordered a flatbread pizza for lunch, which was also not impressive. It reminded me of the grocery store bought premade crusts that you just add toppings to and broil for a few minutes. I have yet to order dinner there yet, but I'm not sure I will at this point. Went for my birthday with my wife. Got there at 5:30 and they were starting to get busy. I ordered the Scallops with carrot puree, fennel, and mushrooms. The Scallops were sweet and seared perfectly. The carrot puree was good, but I would have preferred less fennel and more mushrooms. My wife got a Crabcake appetizer, truffle fries and a ceasar salad. They were all good. I like this place. I love eating outside and I love the veggie burger, the nice small salad, and the truffle fries. We always have good service here too. I only eat outside though because I feel that the inside is too dark and depressing. I only give it 4 stars because I feel like the menu is rather limited. I always get the same thing, and my husband does too. I do love this location though. They have a gorgeous little walking path you can take after you eat, and it's on a very quaint location. read more

Swung by Marlow's Tavern for lunch recently and had a much better experience with the newer menu than I did over a year ago at the Winter Park. My partner ordered the biscuits and gravy from the brunch menu and loved it and I really enjoyed a salad with broiled salmon that was cooked perfectly to order. Service was quick and friendly and the kitchen was surprisingly fast for how busy they were. Would definitely recommend this location and love the high quality ingredients they use. Limited options if you're fully vegetarian, but other than that a great variety of options. read more

This location is one of my favorites. The service is always good. The servers are very attentive and almost always offer suggestions to make the meal better. The cooks are fantastic. I've never ever had a complaint or had to send a meal back for any reason at all. I e been coming here since they opened in Oviedo. My roommate and me went up to Marlow's Tavern for the first time a week or so ago. It was amazing! We both got the Tavern salad as our side which was SO YUMMY! Their sweet herb vinaigrette is delicious. We then split the Tavern burger (which we got the tomato bacon jam which is made in house and bomb) and the Chicken Panini. We couldn't decide which was better but I think the panini wins by just a little bit because of that toasted focaccia! I also had a blackberry mojito that was refreshing and sweet! We've been here several times and most of the time the experience is good not great. Sadly tonight was probably our last time. We were seated pretty much right away, but everything else took a long time. Drinks, silverware, apps, ordering, refills, clearing old plates off the table, food, everything except the check (of course) took forever. We would notice other waiters multiple times before ours would come around. A manager type person came by to say sorry that it was taking so long to get our food and we were the next ones up, but dude what about the other stuff? If you notice that the waiter is struggling, you should get someone to help. The food has gotten too expensive to have to deal with it. The next time someone recommends Marlow's, I will say Mar-nos. read more

I absolutely love Marlow's Tavern! They accommodate people like me who aren't necessarily ready to dine out by offering curbside takeout. I took advantage of my birthday email deal and ordered 2 shrimp and grits and an order of truffle fries. Y'all I am southern and these are the only shrimp & grits I will eat around here! Their grits cakes are so flavorful along with the delicious shrimp. Also, the sauce that goes with it is devine!!!!!! I really liked this place! The Wagyu beef cheeseburger was one of the best things I've eaten all year, though it was slightly overcooked according to what I'd asked for. We also had the shrimp and grits, which had a fantastic presentation. The taste was great, but the only reason I would not order it again is because I am a traditionalist who does not believe in grit cakes. I prefer my grits to be in porridge form. Our server was charming and funny, and though the restaurant wasn't busy, I absolutely LOVED that the chef came to check on us. The cocktails were average in taste and frankly forgettable. On the whole, we had a great time, good food, and would definitely return! read more

A little pricy but overall a nice place to eat. Love their chickpea fries. Miss that they don't send the free brownie with the take out orders. My son used to look forward to that brownie! Good for date night. Needs a little more variety from the bar menu. Should also disclose crab meat is immitation for the nachos. Some people might want to know this ahead. read more

The food is delicious and the service was even better which is why they deserve the full five stars. Our server was Tia and she was fabulous. She told us the specials and was able to answer the questions we had about them. She was very attentive and friendly. Even further, the entire staff worked wonderfully as a team. The place was packed but a dirty dish never sat on our table longer than 2 minutes. Each employee that walked by observed the table and cleared, refilled and assisted with anything. It was quite amazing to see them work so well together as this is something that many restaurants lack. Now I'll stop fan girling over the service and actually talk about the food. I ordered the shrimp and lobster chowder and the table shared the caprese flatbread as appetizers. The chowder was so delicious. It had a great flavor and a plethora of seafood. The caprese was good but not my favorite. I wasn't expecting there to be meat on it and there wasn't any fresh mozzarella which is normally my favorite part. However, the flavor was good and the bread was toasted to a perfect crisp. For dinner, I got the prime rib sandwich and my dad got the Cuban and we switched halves to try both. Both sandwiches were delicious! You can't go wrong with Cuban bread but the sandwich was much better than I expected as it's not usually my favorite. The prime rib was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The fries had great flavor.. lots of salt so beware, but yummy. My mom ordered the black and blue burger and said it was cooked exactly as she ordered it and delicious. We will definitely make this a go to spot now that there's one close to where we live and I know how great it is! read more

We can't really figure out what the hubbub is all about. This isn't our first time at a Marlow's Tavern, but this was our first time at this particular location. We were greeted promptly and had an attentive server who made some recommendations. Essentially everything was very good at this location but the food was average. It was a busy Friday night but I had hoped that might mean that my upcharged french fries would be fresh and crispy. Nope. My French dip was lackluster and our fish tacos were quite bad. A $12 dessert special made us decide to look elsewhere for something sweet. But I'm sure everyone there had their favorites because the place was packed. Good for them but we won't be joining them next time. read more

This is always a great place for a quick bite for lunch, as well as A more relaxed dinner. Formal or not Marlow's always makes you feel comfortable. You can physically see the waitstaff really working hard to make sure everyone has their food on time, as well as clearing plates. This will always be my number one choice for lunch and dinner. The ambience in the restaurant is really nice. Dimmed lighting, music not to loud but loud enough to enjoy. I came to Florida for training and needed to eat dinner so I went straight to the bar. (My place of choice when dining solo). It was happy hour but I didn't see anything I wanted on the happy hour menu so I asked the bartender, Alex to freestyle. She made me a raspberry mojito which is delicious. One thing I liked is that she asked for my name and addressed me by my name the duration of my meal. Very personable. I ordered the Rick shrimp tacos with truffle fries. The shrimp tacos were so good. The flavor of the shrimp was on point. It even had a nice sauce over it which gave it a little kick. Truffle fries were just as good. Whole meal was great. I recommend this place and will return if I'm ever back in the area. read more

Came to Marlows Oviedo today for their brunch and OMG I needed a wheelchair to get me to the car. The steak and eggs with their crispy potato hash cake was the perfect way to start my sunday. Ambiance was very nice, tranquil. Lot's of green space. We even got a picture taken against the front green wall sitting space. Very nice place. Service was very good. Every person we encountered was nice. The food came out very timely and was warm, fresh, and vibrant. No worries at all. As for the food itself, it was very good. I started off with the Tom Yum Goong (Shrimp in a house spicy lemongrass broth with onions, cilantro, and mushrooms). The broth was so light and herbal, with a nice lemongrass zing. Mushrooms were the main player in terms of bite and chew here, and they were delicious. Loved this soup. We also had the Thai Fish Cakes (Deep-fried fish patties with red curry paste, kaffir lime leaf, and thin sliced long green bean, house recipe spicy and sweet tangy dipping sauce). Amazing. Crisp exterior with a moist, curry-forward interior that was fishy, but not too fishy. Perfect for dipping in that balanced sauce. For my main, I had my favorite Thai dish, the Phad Se-Ew (Wide rice noodle stir-fried with broccoli, carrot, egg and black pepper in mild soy-garlic seasoning). These noodles are So good. They're wide and hold the sauce really well. They have a good chew to them. And they were inundated with nice, crunchy veggies. I added chicken, and I got a ton of it. Very good entree. I also got the chance to try the Lemongrass Signature Curry (Shrimp, squid, scallop in special-recipe, stir-fried curry with lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, bell pepper, onion, carrot, and egg). The luscious curry, the perfectly cooked seafood, yes even the scallop, and the myriad veg made this dish a stunner. The only think I needed was more white rice on the side. For dessert, we got the Durian Ice Cream. Yes, you read that correctly. And while you could smell it, it wasn't smelly. All of the steps between the durian being grown in another country and becoming my ice cream in Oviedo had teased out the horrible smell and left only a slight funk and a very smooth, actually delightful little bowl of ice cream. Go out on a limb and try it. It'll be fine, I promise. Overall, this was a great little Thai spot. I'm glad I came, and I'm glad it's so close by to where I live.

Reservations are accepted, but not always necessary. Weekends appear to be the busiest time. The inside seating is modest, but the level of service keeps the table turnover quick.
