Had a deal from Group on for A/C recharge. I told Rick the manager that the car blows hot air at stops, what is the reason? He said you need recharge. I asked about the process, he kinda reluctantly said they will vacuum the moisture and then add freon. I asked how long would it take, he answered one hour. I have to tell you when I got to the shop, the guys working there were seating around b s ing and they did not look professional. Anyways they took my car in and the guy who was going to do the job, came in the office sand asked Rick questions about the recharge that made a bit uncomfortable. The car was done in 20-25 minutes and I did not try the A/C that day, since it was over cast and cool. But the next day, it acted the same way. I called and asked to talk to Rick, the asian guy who acted kinda weird the first day, answered and asked me to call back since Rick was busy, I asked him to take down the message and have him call me, he never did. It cost me $66 for the job. I emailed Group on's customer service with the issue, they reimbursed me $30, and I am sure they will have them on their radar. Midas has always been really helpful. Mostly I go there for oil changes but I've had my brake pads replaced there too. I always make an appointment for the oil change but I don't think making appointments really matters because I've never had an oil change take less than an hour and a half to two hours. That's a long time to spend every few months. They also always ask if I have a Groupon or coupon and I never do so it makes it seem like maybe they inflate their prices knowing that most of their customers bring in coupons for $20 off? I don't believe I've ever been asked to sign up for receiving any either. I do like that they don't push you to buy air filters or windshield wipers every visit like other chain auto shops in town. I liked coming here because it was close to my work and I could stop in on my lunch break but it's so consistently busy and backed up that I either need to plan better to not take time out of my work day or find somewhere else. read more

This is by far the worst customer service I received in a long time. I travel quite offten and I had forgotten how it was to get shitty customer service. Not to mention I'm in the service industry and have been for the last 10 years out of college. I purchased a Groupon for an oil change and there was a few locations to choose from. I called around and picked this location because it for my schedule. I acknowledged the fact an appointment was needed for use of the Groupon. I called and scheduled one a few days in advance. Upon arrival I informed the gentleman at the counter I had an appointment and a Groupon. He preceded to check the computer at which point he informed me I was not on the schedule. I told him I called in advance and he got defensive. He told me I wouldn't be able to get my oil changed because they could only take a certain amount of Groupons in a single day and I didn't have an appointment. I got upset and informed the gentleman that because one of their worker's forgot to put me in the computer I was being punished. Not to mention I drove 30 min to be there. The guy pretty much shoed me away and said that there's no way I could use the Groupon and to come back another day. My concern was when I called the store manager the gentleman said there is no way of telling how many Groupons are scheduled in one day and they can only take 5 per day. This means they schedule a bunch of people and tell them they are out of luck upon arrival. I think he was lying. Either way. What a crappy way to run a business. Not to mention the way I felt after leaving. Ruined my whole day. Jerk. read more

Don't waste your time. Brought in a coupon for a 20 dollar conventional or 50 dollar synthetic oil change and was told they only have synthetic. Then was told my Honda Civic took a certain oil and it would cost 90 but he'd "cut me a deal and do it for 75". A quick check to my handbook confirmed the bull shit. I was thoroughly disappointed in my last visit to this shop - enough to never want to use Midas again anywhere. Plain and simple, I was taken advantage of. My check engine light was on, and after telling me what I needed was a fuel injector flush on my 4-year old car with less than 50k miles, which cost a couple hundred dollars, I was told that I should also pick up a new gas cap. I should not have been surprised that the light came back on within a day of the flush, and the truth was that what I needed all along was a $20 gas cap. NOT right. read more

I've been having some mechanical troubles with my truck lately. My mechanic, supposedly, fixed all that he knew was wrong. ...but somehow I was still having the same problem. Decided to go online and submit my issues on Midas.com. Received a phone call from Rick, store manager. I finally brought my truck to Midas. Come to find out, the issue was so minor that my own mechanic missed his own error. At no charge, Midas fixed my problem and had me leaving one extremely satisfied customer. Scott and Dave were amazingly friendly and got me out an hour ahead of projected time. Customer service was great despite the busy workload. Highly recommended! I scheduled an appointment at this location for Monday afternoon, before my road trip, with a gentleman who confirmed 3:30PM with me via telephone. I arrive at this location at 3:30PM and they tell me the appointment has been canceled and because my appointment was at 3:15pm and that the only person that could do the oil change left for the day!! And they don't "close" until 6PM! I know for sure I was told 3:30PM because I put it in my calendar as he told me the time! I now had to push back my trip and scrambled to find another location who could do my oil change. Very disappointed!! read more

Decent place I had an appointment and the store was slow which took them about twenty min to get started. They did not try to over sell me just what i already knew needed to be fixed. which was reasonable and same pricing as others.The shop was not busy and I feel that you should not see all mechanics sitting around socializing yet they have a group of chairs in the service area. They finished quick since they all helped out and put their phones down.The guy w / dreadlocks that helped me out was friendly and had good customer service and was a cool guy. They only thing was I dont like that I had to wipe the oil hand prints of my car when I got home. In in out in less than an hour read more

I took my truck to Midas to have a complete exhaust system installed. When I picked my truck up it sounded awful. I had a bad exhaust leak and my check engine light was on. I took the truck back and they attempted to fix it right. Still had bad exhaust leak and check engine light still on. I then took the truck to a Chevy dealer and found out they had burnt my O2 sensors when trying to weld the wrong exhaust flange on the side that was leaking. Their welding was awful. I have tried to contact the shop for reimbursement but they have not contacted me. Don't ever take your vehicle to Midas. Had to have another Shop replace everything. I am Js, and I felt too bad at about 1am today. The car battery could not be work and need to be changed tomorrow. The battery was changed in this Midas at the end of 2014. It is only for using about 1year and 6months. Obviously the battery was a used one when it was set into my car and this Midas charged me as a new one. read more

I got a coupon in the mail for an oil change and tire rotation for $17.99 so I thought, eh, why not? I had a bad feeling when I got there. The guys working there were acting like a bunch of buffoons, hazing the "new guy" (according to the man at the counter). I was ok with it until I saw the "new guy" sit in an Audi A4 and rev the engine (so hard and so long he redlined the tachometer) for no apparent reason. It was then that I almost left but someone was already in the process of lifting my car up. I figured well, at least it isnt the "new guy" working on it.. They changed my oil, but didnt rotate my tires, but I'm ok with it because the less they touched my car, the better. It was when they were done that I was told by the guy at the counter that I needed an air filter (of course), and that I needed my brake fluid changed. Huh? We locked eyes for a good 5 seconds before he said that" well, it's recommended, given the amount of miles on my car". Um, I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata with just over 20, 000 miles ( I bought it in 2012) and I take it to Hyundai for the big tune-ups, so what was that all about? I felt as though they were trying to gouge me a bit. I'm not sure, but had it not been for the "new guy" I might have been ok with the experience. Well, that and the typical gouging. I recently visited Midas located in Las Vegas on Rancho Drive. I'm a dissatisfied customer due to the extra problems that were created with my vehicle. I was on vacation in Vegas with my family and we had driven over 500 miles from home. My passenger side front window had gotten stuck and wouldn't go back up. I went to the nearest auto repair, which was this Midas location. I believe it was the manager that had helped me diagnose my vehicle and told me that it was the regulator that blew, after the mechanics opened up the door panel. I had no choice but to get it repaired and get the window back up. The manager told me that the master switch which was used to put the window down blew the window regulator. He suggested that i should have the master switch replaced when i reach back into town near home. He also told me not to put the window back down or the faulty switch will blow the regulator again. The switch had been blocked off by the mechanics in a way that even though i switched out the master switch once i reached back, the window was still not working. I showed it to a mechanic in town and he said can't figure out what the Midas workers did with blocking off the window. That mechanic took 3 to 4 hours to figure it out and still no hope. I even took it to another Midas location and they too couldn't figure it but had to put in extra work to take everything apart and reassemble it. What good is a vehicle without a working a window? I am unhappy with the work that they have done and the amount they charged me just to get the window up and put a new regulator in, without it actually working. read more
