Once you get in, there's a small lounge area on the left and then a larger lounge area straight ahead where the bar is. They have small tables with couches and local artwork ond display. For their drinks, their mixed drinks are average, but they only had 3 beers on draft which was a disappointment. They do serve some bar food and snacks, but like the drinks they're overpriced. I've been here twice and there's usually a wait for the rooftop. Once on a Saturday I was quoted up to a 3 hour wait that was actually 45 minutes and on a Sunday it was a 15 minute wait. I put my name down and got a friendly text when my turn was up. The view is pretty good, but not the best since it's not by the water so it's mostly looking at the city and large apartment complexes. The rooftop is small with 4-5 tables, a TV, and some seats. It seems like they allow around 40 people in at a time. Overall, this a cool place to hang out with friends this summer!

I like how it is set up like a lounge, where they have couches available for big and small groups. You can also just sit at the bar to grab a drink. There are also tables on the terrace, but it is not always open during the winter months. When the door is unlocked, it is worth checking out the view for a couple of minutes. The bartenders can be a bit hit-and-miss, depending on the night. I wouldn't take that personally. Just order your drink and focus on your company. They will come around like 15 minutes before closing and asking you to close your tabs. Supposedly their lobby bar stays open later than 11 PM, but my friends and I tried going then got turned away by the lobby bar as well. I have always had GIN CRAZE $14 (Beefeater gin, lemon, simple, raspberry puree). It is pretty solid.

It is super well-priced at $15/person for 1.5 hours of gameplay which is more than enough for 2 people. They have a bunch of interactive dart games, including classic, and we were able to play all of them multiple times. Additionally, they have Rookie/Normal/Pro lines on the ground so you can choose where to stand and you don't have to be a professional dart player by any means to play these games. The staff is also super friendly. The only concern I had was that the staff wasn't super attentive to our dart table, so despite us clicking the request service button a few times, my girlfriend had to head to the bar to get our drinks and start a tab. My girlfriend's drink was not good either... it was a vodka mixed drink with a salt rim and it was just too salty. It would've been much better with a sugar rim I think. Other than that though, it was an amazing time and I'd highly recommend Flight Club for a date night, outing with friends, or corporate event!

It was not too strong or sweet but still fruity tasting. Instead of a garnish, there was a picture of a Nick clothe pinned to the side. We weren't too hungry, so we ordered a couple of small plates: the tuna tartare and the feta 2.0. This place is actually perfect for snacking / light meals since their menu is a modern take on "Meze," or small shareable plates (think tapas). The tuna tartare was incredible. The fish, cucumbers and tomatoes tasted very fresh, but the star of the show was definitely the sauce which I think was a mixture of ponzu, togarashi, and cilantro tzatziki. It was spicy, but slightly creamy, but very herby and light. I loved that the pita chips were crispy; they paired well with the dish and they brought out a good ratio of chips to tartare. The feta cheese was also good. It was wrapped in crispy phyllo and topped with honey and sesame seeds. The honey provided a slight sweetness but not enough to overpower the salty and sharp taste of the fresh feta. This plate does not come with anything which was kind of odd so we asked for pita on the side. I wish we had asked for warm pita, or baked pita because it was a little dry. I was impressed with the flavors and quality of each dish as well as the attention of the servers and staff. There's a relaxed vibe as the lights are dim and interior design is classy.

Pacing was the issue: My appetizer, a $23 lebneh, arrived 10-15 minutes after my entrée, even though I'd asked to cancel it once the entrée came out. The server said it was due to the kitchen waiting on the bread. On a $140 bill for three items, a cold dip has no business trailing the main course and a restaurant of that scale should either consult the guest or hold on firing the entrée. Tried Moxies in Boston's Seaport with my wife and two work associates and came away impressed overall. My wife and I both had the chipotle mango chicken, while the table also tried the short ribs and blackened mahi mahi. All the dishes were very good, but the chipotle mango chicken really stood out. Huge portion and packed with flavor without being overdone. We also shared the spicy tuna roll and guacamole appetizer, both of which were solid starters. Between my tree nut allergy, Alpha-Gal, diabetes, and my wife's gluten allergy and dairy sensitivity, we usually give restaurants a decent stress test. Staff handled questions well, were patient with modifications, and made the process feel easy rather than inconvenient. Service was a little slow at times, though the restaurant was extremely busy, so hard to know if it was the kitchen or our server. Either way, the staff was very kind, personable, and attentive when they were at the table. Atmosphere is energetic and lively, though definitely on the louder side. Great spot for dates, including first dates, and perfectly fine for casual business meals. Probably not ideal if you're trying to have a serious conversation or intimate dinner because of the noise level. Also not somewhere I'd recommend for small kids unless they enjoy competing with the soundtrack and neighboring tables for attention. Worst place I have EVER gone to. My friends and wife made me go back to moxies even though the first time I went the Executive Chef had pissed on my shoes drunk in the bathroom. I swore I would never return. Tonight was the final straw I have never wrote a review before but tonight we sat at our table for over 40 mins without drinks. My wife simply pulled over a server to ask if we could put in drinks with her. This server said she will find the right waitress to put in our drinks. Finally our server came over and took our drink order. I wasn't happy and server could tell. Then the manager came over to apologize and we all felt a little better that our waitress knows her manger is aware and will pay us more attention. Then we had to wait another 20 mins with empty drinks to order food. This being said we were visibly annoyed but not rude. The manager visited again with the server. We ordered and as the two walked away they called my wife a bitch to each other. We simply left cash on the table and walked out. If the chef pissing on my shoes isn't enough tonight was the final straw. I will never go back and I will tell everyone not go. Worst and disgusting place I've ever been to. read more

I will post this for the FOURTH time since my review (as well as other reviews that are shining light on the truth) keep being deleted!! First off the owners Mike and Joe are engaging in fraudulent activities, resulting in the misappropriation of funds. They are robbing employees BLIND. Thousands of dollars weekly are not going into the workers paychecks but instead to the owners and managements pockets. This includes David, Lily, Kristina, Pablo, and erin. This not only undermines the trust of customers but also raises serious ethical and legal concerns. It is dis-heartening to see my hard earned money misused. Furthermore the treatment of employees at moxies is extremely alarming. Numerous instances of mistreatment, harassment, and unfair labor practices have been reported by previous and current employees. These instances are not hearsay but based off of personal experiences. Besides being robbed blind management looks trashy- Kristina looks like she was ordered off of temu. Lastly Lily is not even of legal age but is somehow "managing" the front of house, and closing the restaurant which as well is illegal. There are lawyers involved and hopefully moxies will be out of business ASAP!!! read more

Moxies has never disappointed me with its food. From the friendly hostess to the attentive wait staff, everyone here is courteous and welcoming. The restaurant boasts two floors, with a bar on each level. The first floor offers a cozy ambiance with ample dining tables, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a meal with a date. We decided to order a selection of dishes to share. The bruschetta was an absolute delight. The bread had a delightful crisp texture, while the mozzarella and tomato dip was just right--not too hot, not too cold, and perfectly spreadable. The oysters were divine, accompanied by an array of delectable sauces. The zen bowl with chicken was equally impressive. The carrots, broccoli, and earthy flavor of the shiitake mushrooms were a standout. The rice was perfectly seasoned and infused with a rich flavor. The strawberry salad was a delightful addition to the meal and provided a refreshing crunch. I also enjoy the atmosphere here, where people dress up a bit or opt for an elevated casual look on Fridays and Saturdays. I went to moxies earlier today with some buddies for lunch. Being in the industry I was genuinely saddened to witness what I did. To start off the smell was HORRENDOUS, hence why they were only seating upstairs. Seating upstairs did not help as all of the doors were open to air it out so on top of the smell it was freezing. It was quite clearly a strong odor of mold. The establishment should have been closed. I will be calling the health department. On top of that the only server on was running around taking orders, bussing tables, and running up and down the stairs while "management" was sitting there laughing. I witnessed the server go over to them and the short blonde manager laugh in her face as she stood there useless. That is despicable. She also was with a tall man who I'm told was the GM who did not step in or lift a finger. Shame on this establishment!!!! I work in the industry and am disgusted by the so called managers actions. I actually own a restaurant myself and if any of my managers behaved in this manner they would be let go on the spot. read more

I have never written a review- especially a negative one! I feel as though there is no other choice and some eyes need to be opened! It's comical reading these reviews about Matthew that are so clearly written by him himself! I went to Moxies a few days ago with some girlfriends and had a horrible experience. Matthew came off very condescending. He took 20 minutes to bring our first round of drinks and checked in with us once when our meals were nearly finished. When we were leaving I went to use the restroom but there was a long line. As I was waiting outside the bathroom I heard the so called "manager" screaming at one of the employees. I asked her if she was ok but you could tell this was not the first time. After asking the employee what this managers name was- the manager who's name is Lily gave me a look of death. I later saw lily walking down the hallway crying. Probably why you shouldn't have 20 year olds running the place! If 0 stars were an option that would be my rating. Tables were finishing up and the restaurant was emptying out but when we left there was a huge line at the door. I don't know if they were letting the kitchen catch up or what. I did notice they go take out orders, and Uber Eats. Honestly if you cannot take care of the patrons sitting in your establishment, you shouldn't also take on the chore of doing take out as well. The location will keep this place in business. The tourist will flock here but save yourself and go elsewhere. Dinner out is too expensive to be settling for this type of service.

The hostesses were all super nice and professional. The ambiance is gorgeous. Unfortunately, the outdoor patio was closed today due to inclement weather. When we first sat down our waiter seemed distracted and in a bad mood. Everyone has an off day so we didn't think too much of it. He took our drink orders and we received our drinks quickly. When we went to order we both had planned on brunch. It was our fault that we missed that brunch is only served on the weekends, but this is where things really went wrong. The waiter was irritated that we asked him to come back. He seemed to have forgotten to come back as we sat for about a half hour before he came back. Both of our drinks were empty and we still hadn't ordered. Finally we ordered and got more drinks. The food came and I had ordered the carne asada tacos. I took one bite and knew I was in trouble. The meat was so chewy that I couldn't break it down. After chewing for what felt like an eternity, I had a choice to make. Spit it out or swallow it whole. I made the decision to swallow and then began a near choking experience. To be fair I have issues with my esophagus so I am known to eat very dainty bites. But I literally had to force myself to vomit this up in the restroom. The waiter came back and didn't even inquire as to why someone would eat just one bite of food. You would think that he would ask if I didn't like it or something. I'm not sure what was going on with that meat but it was inedible. The waiter was rude and not attentive. The rest of the experience was good though. I will go back and give it another try because one bad waiter and one bad dish deserves one more try.

Para Maria is just across the street from a waterfront spot that is very popular, so they don't have unobstructed water views, but we knew the water was there. And on a hot summer day in mid-August, they had the big garage doors open to the outside. It felt like we were somewhere beautiful and relaxing on vacation. We took two seats at their very large bar (which was not very busy at all on a Friday in the afternoon) and ordered a couple of drinks. Mine was their Picosita (Lalo Tequila, Ancho Reyes, Mango, Jalapeno, and Tajin rim), which was perfect for a summer day. I'd love to return with a group, because their margarita pitchers come in lots of flavors/styles (classic, strawberry, lychee, guava, coconut, and spicy), and that would be a great thing to share with friends on the patio of the bar. We didn't eat on this occasion, but I'd be happy to return for more drinks and maybe a bite to eat next time!

The bartender apologized that things were slow coming from the kitchen as they had a surprise Health Inspection and that slowed things down. It was not that long, and it was a busy day in Boston. The staff were so attentive and funny. In busy times, that helps. I think the people next to us made such a fuss, they were gun shy. It was all good and busy as one would expect with the Tall Ships in Town.

I asked for the manager, who came out and I honestly felt like he thought we were being too needy (well, if I am going to be spending $700+ on a meal I kind of want what I ordered, so my bad). I told him I was too hungry for them to re-fire my food, but the steak had to be re-cooked because it was frankly far too raw. He came back 10 or so minutes later with a new steak, and I am not sure how this is possible but it was even more raw than the last time. The waitress was super embarrassed and the manager came out again and said he would comp some of the dishes, which was nice but extremely disappointing. We got some comped desserts which was nice of them, but too little too late. I am not entirely sure how you can call yourself a steakhouse but can't cook steaks? A little misleading if you ask me. Will not be back and there are far too many options in the city to give this place another shot. Completely disappointing and embarrassing.

The calamari was delicious with its creamy dipping sauce. The Mini Tuna Tacos were easily my favorite. Fresh tuna with a light, crispy shell and plenty of flavor. I'd order those again without thinking twice. Service was where the experience fell short. After our food arrived, our waitress didn't check on us again until we were basically finished. With barely any customers in the restaurant at the time, I expected the service to be more attentive. I would have ranked this spot higher, but the overall service could definitely improve. Also, random honorable mention for the restroom. The oyster shell wallpaper is such a cool detail. I notice things like that, and it fit the space perfectly. Overall, Amber Road is a beautiful restaurant with good food and drinks. There's a lot to like here, but the service kept the experience from being as good as it could have been.
