Let's get one thing out of the way: The vitello tonnato? Thinly sliced like it was shaved by angels. Creamy, briny, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I've written poems about it. If it proposed to me, I'd say yes. It is THAT good. Now, the team. Oh, the team. If this restaurant were a movie, the supporting cast would win all the awards: * Ogannes, the Head Manager, runs the place with the energy of a Mediterranean Zeus. Not a single detail escapes him. He's a manager, a vibe curator, and possibly the reason I feel like a VIP every time I walk in. * Giulio, the manager, brings the kind of warm Italian hospitality that makes you feel like you just walked into Nonna's seaside villa--and is another reason I always feel like a VIP * Vusal, the Head Chef, is clearly not from this planet. Every dish that leaves his kitchen is a love letter to Mediterranean elegance and Italian soul. He doesn't cook--he creates edible art. * Eduardo, the sous chef, deserves a shrine. His attention to detail and flavor makes you forget you're in a restaurant and not at a private yacht party off the coast of Capri. And yes, there are TWO Bens. Both are servers. Both are delightful. | made a reservation at Novikov about two weeks in advance with no issues. When entering the restaurant, there is no waiting area and the bar is packed with far too many people making it extremely loud. The restaurant itself is beautiful and had nice touches of decor, with fresh basil/thyme on each table as well. The drinks were not the best. I was told their pornstar martini is amongst one of their popular options, but didn't find myself enjoying it. For the food, I enjoyed the starters (bluefin tuna tartare & oysters) as well as the main courses (21oz ribeye, lobster tagliatelle, & mashed potatoes). My favorite dish was the ribeye which was cooked perfectly! We also tried their Napoleon dessert, a large portion that was pretty good! We stopped by for lunch and it was not bad. They do have an excellent value for a 2 or 3 course lunch option with many options (including upgrades like tuna tartare +$10; lamb chops +$25, etc...). Came here on a Sunday afternoon. The weather was wonderful. The people were great and the food was amazing. They had many options to choose from. We chose many and each one was great. Having lunch here was a great idea and I will be coming back. The only thing that was out of line in my opinion was they kept charging for the unsweetened iced tea. The small cup with all that ice and the lemon hardly had any liquid in there. I went to the Miami one and their food was a little bit different. (I loved it) I was told the London location has a variety of Miami and LA combined. Can't wait to try London's and compare all three. Will be coming back thanks for a great lunch. read more

Stopped into Novikov for cocktails before going to a party in the area. The decor is lovely and comfortable; upscale while being bright and breezy in that SoCal, Beverly Hills way. Our bartender was chatty and attentive, and we had a good time relaxing with our drinks. The cocktails themselves are creative, nicely composed and garnished in very pretty ways. The prices are a bit steep, however, even for Beverly Hills. These drinks are priced between $25 & $30, even without the inclusion of top shelf liquors. While I have the ability cover this, it does seem kind of crazy for a place that isn't offering other layers of specialness, such as live music. Again, we weren't eating at this visit, but the menu does look interesting, though also very pricey. I mention the price not because I mind paying good prices for exceptional food and experiences, but because this restaurant in particular doesn't feel like it's earned its in such rarefied air. read more

Highly recommend! The food and the service is beyond compare! We started with the burrata on bruschetta, which was creamy, fresh, and beautifully presented. The tuna tartare was perfectly seasoned and melted in the mouth; such a clean, delicate flavor. For mains, we shared the branzino, which was cooked to perfection with a crisp skin and tender, flaky meat, and the truffle pasta, which was pure indulgence. But this is NOT MEDITERRANEAN . It's a fish place that could be called a seafood house with a few other options like steak or chicken. options . The original is in London which have been regular for many years on my visits that is more multi cuisine and different concept. This location felt like a completely different (and inferior) restaurant. The service was poor. Our server rarely checked in, and when I mentioned that the fish was overcooked, she defended the restaurant instead of addressing the issue--never a good look. The wine list was essentially gutted, offering only one white wine at $27, with no reasonably priced alternatives. The food was mediocre at best, the room lacked energy, and the overall experience did not come close to justifying the price point. If you know the brand they have different concepts. I personally was only familiar with the one in Miami which is more of an Asian fushion concept but it turns out they have 3 different concepts and the one they just opened in BH is more of the Italian/Mediterranean concept. Nicely designed and located across from Mastros. It has seating both inside and outside. I would recommend ceiling fans for the patio seating as it was pretty hot. Good and service was good but the waiters were still not fully familiar with the type of alcohols they had. But overall it was nice for lunch and would go back especially for the black pasta with crab! It was amazing and I don't say that often about any food. Must try. I did add chilly flakes to mine as I prefer a spicier sauce. Will need to try dinner some day. read more

Lovely dinner at @novikov_bh. This restaurant recently opened up and is here to stay. Last night, I had the tuna tartare with caviar, truffle pizza, sea bass for one, and the lamb shank. The tuna was so light and fresh with a delightful texture and was beautifully complimented by the caviar. Truffle pizza was smothered in truffles and delicious mushrooms. Crust was very thin. My sea bass was cooked to perfection; moist and glorious on the inside with a crisp, flavor packed skin. The portion was perfect for me since I had two appetizers. However, if you plan on only eating an entrée, I'd suggest getting a side to go with it. Lamb shank fell off the bone. It tasted nice, although a little sweet for my liking. Lovely door men and the stylish host was friendly, especially the madness at the host stand. The atmosphere is grand and it's incredibly busy. Upscale fits with the men dressed more streetstyle. The food was extremely mid and the table service wasn't on par with what I'd expect at that level of dining. Simple things like the greek salad were under seasoned. Cocktails were okay but nothing special. Server didn't check in for drinks and only seemed to look at the table to see when she could fire the next order to shuffle us out. When they sat us down I asked for a dessert menu and then some lady comes to our table and says the manager said you can't sit at a table if you are only going to order dessert and started taking all the menus and water that was on our table. That is unacceptable and very unprofessional to treat your guests like this. I never had that happen at any restaurant before and I've been to plenty expensive restaurants. I am beyond disappointed with how our birthday celebration was handled. We chose this restaurant expecting a memorable and elevated experience, especially after spending over $1,500 on dinner for our group. Unfortunately, the evening was ruined entirely by the receptionist and management. In the middle of our meal -- while we were actively celebrating a birthday -- the receptionist singled out our table and approached us to tell us we needed to leave. Out of all the tables in the restaurant, ours was targeted, despite us being well into dinner and behaving respectfully. There was no reasonable explanation, no professionalism, and certainly no empathy shown. To make matters worse, a random walk-in customer with no reservation was somehow allowed to approach our table and cause a scene, harassing my guests. Instead of protecting paying customers who had booked and were spending significantly, the staff allowed this disruption and then penalized us for it. The receptionist and manager had absolutely no right to interrupt a paid birthday dinner and ask us to leave mid-meal. There was a complete lack of customer care, organization, and basic respect. For a restaurant that positions itself as high-end, the front-of-house management was shockingly unprofessional. We came expecting an amazing experience. Like other reviews, the service was a miss. Considering this is a $$$$ restaurant and the many reviews with feedback on service, you would think service issues would be fixed. It started with checkin. Even though I had a reservation people who walked in after me were seated ahead as the front desk staff were checking in people and seating people so there seemed to be confusion. For whatever reason the person checking us in didn't seem to know where to put us. Once we were eventually seated we weren't given wine list and so i had to ask for it. And two seconds later we were asked what we wanted to drink. And the waiter rushes off. Sommelier who came was very helpful and patient though. Our waters were never kept full and we had to ask for refills several times. Most nice restaurants train staff to keep an eye out but not here. After we finally got to order and waiter walked away another gentleman comes back and says one of our dishes is not available. It was Valentines weekend! Seriously? I noticed that at another table the staff was much more attentive. When someone left the table, they folded the persons napkin. For us, not so much. The truffle pizza we tried just didn't hit the mark, I've definitely had better at Cecconi's. A few other dishes were pretty average, to be honest, and I can't even remember what we ordered. but the place was so elegant and beautiful that I decided to give it another shot, and I'm so glad I did! On my next visit, the food was amazing! I'm not sure what changed, maybe they had a different chef that day? ‍The scallops were absolutely top-notch! The Napoleon dessert is absolutely delicious and be careful, it's HUGE--seriously enough to feed four people! Overall, I'm really glad I gave this place another chance. Birthday dinner- Made reservations for 9:30 pm and apparently it doesn't matter cause they let us stand outside and wait the whole line just to see the hostess, oh and apparently it doesn't matter we had 2 pregnant ladies and it was freezing outside (the minimum I think is to provide heaters no? NVM). We got in and made our cocktails and food orders- When the cocktails came the staff didn't even know for sure which one is a nonalcoholic for the pregnant ladies and which is regular... The space is enormous. They have an amazing atmosphere. Very clean and the food is amazing. Don't like that the breakfast ends so early but do enjoy when i'm able to get there early enough. Parking sucks but you can always find something in the structure next door. Service is good and waiters are friendly. The Omelette is very fluffy, croque madame is tasty and flavors are very good. Croissant was very delicious too much chocolate lol mini crepes were good too. Iced coffee is good too. Feel like i was over charged because they advertise a price and then they charge you everything separately. Never in my life have I ever sent a dish back--but I had to send this one back twice. Both times I bit into my pasta, I got a mouthful of raw, doughy strands that stuck to my teeth.
