A reliable spot for me to hit anytime I'm coming home the airport or staying at the Westin nearby. It's a cute, family-run spot with a fun interior and a no-frills, comfortable feel. The owner is kind and a bit of a fun character! The food itself is solid and satisfying. The curries are the standouts for me, especially the pineapple curry and the panang curry. Both are flavorful, come with rice, and feel reasonably priced for the portions you get. Those are my go-to orders and the ones I'd recommend. Some of the entrée-style dishes are a bit pricier and don't include rice, so I usually skip those and stick with the curries. This place has been a lifesaver after getting back from the airport when my wife and I are starving and don't want fast food. A couple of things to note. Parking can be tricky if you're not already in a nearby garage, though there is some street parking on nearby side streets. Also, there is a dine-in charge that's roughly equivalent to a standard tip, so just be aware of that going in. That seems to be to account for the fact that you may not have the same server visit your table throughout the meal. I was stuck at the Westin next door for work with no car and needed a bite to eat and this was literally the closest place outside of the hotel. Saw the outside and felt a tad skeptical tbh but saw that most of the reviews were pretty solid and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint! Order and pay online and if it's before 3pm, you qualify for lunch pricing with slight discounts and a few combination plates which seem to include an egg roll and salad. I didn't want a combo so just ordered the pad see ew ($15) and it was totally delish. Noodles were cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. I selected chicken as my protein and there was a surprising amount of meat and more slices of chinese broccoli than I've ever seen before in a Thai noodle dish. YUM! I also wanted something crispy and went with egg rolls, which did the trick and were about what I was expecting (plus 5 for $8 is definitely cheaper than what I'd pay back at home.) They do brisk takeout here and everything is packed very neatly to go with utensils, good napkins, and three packets of sauce (soy, sriracha, & sambal oelek chili.) Ask if you want chopsticks, though. Sodas are cheaper than the hotel vending machines at $1.75 a can. I also dined-in for dinner and failed to notice until after I got back to the hotel that they'd automatically added a 15% service charge to the bill. I tipped them twice by accident! The location is a bit questionable but, in case you're curious, there's a different front door to the massage place than the restaurant and they don't seem to be connected in any way EXCEPT for the giant sign that you have to walk under to get to Panang Thai. :0 read more

Ancient people speak of a dish that is easy to replicate and that it is nearly impossible to ruin. Well the folks here have made the impossible become reality. It looked good. It smelled good, it tasted, not good. Flavor was lacking. I ate about 35 percent because I was starving plus I just dropped 15 bucks for this. All the meats in the dishes were over cooked/dry/chewy. Taste is ok but way watery. The sauce is basically independent of the food. The garnishes (eg bean sprouts, carrot strips, cilantro) looked like they had sat out for a while - they were dried out and browned. I am moving down to LA starting in September and I can attest that the food in LA is amazing. This place has got to have the best pad see ew that I have ever tried in my life. The sauce was so nutty and decadent. The protein portions were a perfect ratio of the noodles. The curries here are also so flavorful. One thing I would skip out on here is the orange chicken. There was too much coating and not big/thick enough chicken pieces underneath. I would say about 5-6 pieces were decent amounts of chicken but the rest were pretty much the thick outer coating with little chicken. The inside is cutely decorated with an umbrella roof which I imagine is what Thailand is like. Food was mediocre at best. Cost was high for quality and quantity. I was very disappointed- ordered door dash which had a much higher rating (my bad for not checking here first on Yelp) the basil stir fry was ok- zero spice and very small portion. The fried dumplings were ok came with sweet and sour sauce not the traditional sweet brown dipping sauce. The cream cheese wontons were nearly inedible (ate some of the cream cheese middles) as they were fried hard. Both of these were not worth the cost of nearly $9 each. I didn't bother eating the rice so I won't review that. My door dash driver was quick and I would say there was no delay in delivery.. so quality was what it was not to be blamed on the driver. But the price, we paid $75 for two plates of food, fresh rolls ( came with two and weren't that great) and two beers. Pretty terrible. We love Thai for the flavorful vegan options that Thai restaurants almost universally offer. Vegan/ vegetarian options here, however, were extremely limited and those that were available left much to be desired. We ordered pineapple fried rice. They don't offer tofu as a protein so we got mixed veggies. Mixed veggies consisted primarily of extra slices of cucumber and enormous quartered tomatoes that I think must have been meant for salads but were thrown in to try and fill out the plate. Rice was littered with a few lonely chunks of pineapple (like four in the whole plate). Consequently, food was dry, flavorless, and also had little to offer in the way of nutrition with that spread. HOWEVER, I came in tonight for dinner and the waitress was extremely unpleasant. She barely smiled, didn't even greet me, and her tone was very impatient with my order and with me in general. She just seemed annoyed to be working there. No pleasant customer service to anyone. After I finished my dinner I asked for a Thai tea to go with no creamer and she brought it out with creamer and I said oh sorry maybe I forgot to say with no creamer and she said 'I know but this is half and half' and I said sorry I can't do dairy at all, and she just gave me a look and took it back to give me what I initially asked for. And by the way, I have ordered Thai tea from here MANY times and it has always been delicious, but tonight the Thai tea tasted soooo bad and rancid that I had to throw it out. Such a cute little restaurant on the LAX Century Boulevard strip. Had chicken panang, cashew chicken and chowmein thai style. The panang had great authentic flavors but wish the curry was just a little bit thicker. Cashew chicken was very good and liked the abundance of cashews and veggies. The chowmein Thai style had a delicious smoky flavor but found noodles a little over cooked. Sweet customer service and reasonable prices. The Thai iced tea was good if you have a real sweet tooth.
