First of all, let me begin by saying that I have been a customer of Pandor Bakery since their first location in Newport Beach and now that they are in Irvine, and very close to me, I come here regularly. The food is consistently good but the service today was atrocious. I realize that it's quick serve restaurant but good service is always appreciated. I came with a friend on a weekday morning and dined in. I was served my pastry in a paper bag after I had told them I was dining in and had to ask for a plate. I tipped the requisite 15% but regretted doing so immediately after. I had to get my own utensils for my pastry in a bag and then was told that I could not be in that area (behind the counter because there were no utensils out front)...mind you, NO ONE was behind the counter at the time. They were all gathered in the back of the store for some odd reason. Later I noticed the barista walking by our table (empty handed). He was on his way to tell the guy who took our order that our coffee was ready. He in turn came from behind the counter to tell us that our coffee was ready and where to go to pick it up. Really? He couldn't take an extra 20 steps to bring it to us? I'm still scratching my head over why I bothered tipping but I guess we were interrupting his phone time since there were no other customers in line waiting. I wish I could tell you his name but he was logged into the register as Anne Marie C. according to my $39 receipt. So many training opportunities for this morning's crew! 3.5/5 I've been coming here for years now and the food is always delicious--no complaints there. The service however is truly lacking. In my more recent visits, the staff have been standoffish and sometimes rude. I always understand when it's busy or something like that but I just get the feeling that the staff just don't want to be there That aside, the food is tasty. I'm not sure it's worth it to dine in though, maybe just get it to go. My pandor club was delicious and my friend and I agreed the fries are amazing. OWNER THAT CUSSING, YELLING, STEALING MONEY, VIOLATING LAW AND KICKING AWAY CUSTOMERS BY DISCRIMINATION!! Today I had a very extreme experience at the Pandor Bakery Irvine location. After placing and paying for my order, I was approached by a barista/owner his name is Raffi Sepetjian. He was extremely rude and told me to leave the café. I never received my order and was refused a refund, despite having paid. The situation escalated when he demanded documentation for my service animal, which employees are not legally allowed to require. When I tried to explain this calmly, he said he did not care what l ordered or what I paid for and still refused both service and a refund. I was able to record part of the interaction toward the end, confirming his refusal, although I did not capture the earlier insulting behaviour including yelling and cussing. This experience is discriminatory, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable!!! It tells a lot if owner treats regular customers with public insults, stealing and kicking away!!! read more

We got a bunch of different things and all were great... there is this butter cream cheese bakery thingy en masse at the counter where you order and there is a reason there's a bunch of them.. get one to try... wow! This is a French bakery located in the Tustin Marketplace with a large offering of pastries, crepes, coffees, and other French cafe staples. The interior is large, and I saw a good amount of people doing work as they offer WiFi. We got an omelette and the salmon crepe, both of which were just okay. My salmon crepe had a bit too much cream, and I wish that the side salad came with more beets. Overall, this is a nice cafe to come and chill at, but I wouldn't come for the food. read more

Do not recommend this place... They used to be a lot better before but it feels like they are going down hill.... Bread tastes old...like it's been out for 2 days. You can taste it but also the texture as well. They aren't fooling anyone with their not-so-fresh bread and food items. Soup was meh too. Sad that this place keeps going become like this. So good to find Pandor being more than one location and with varied hours! After having ordered and waiting for the hunger to subside, certain reviews about this place and its managerial qualities popped up on the phone. But it was a Saturday night and we powered through. The avocado & tomato tartine was loaded with avocado chunks. Very good. The Caprese salad was something traditional but lacking severely in basil. Otherwise delicious nonetheless! The sunny side crepe that I did not get a proper picture of-- shame to say the least-- was cooked to perfection. First time I think I've had a crepe cooked so proper. The eggs were perfect, yolks still runny as the meal continued on seven minutes in. Pan-fried to beautiful sugary brown whites on what can only be described as whatever the reverse fold of a pigs-in-blanket nestle is. You can see just the best parts of the eggs peeking out and saying hi! That cheese hiding on the bottom of the eggs, being all sneaky and stringy, you melty devil you! read more

I love the food these guys make and the great attitude of the staff. The staff makes my experience even greater (assuming product is good). Their croissants are glazed in egg white (I think) which makes them absolutely amazing and crispy!! On a recent visit a server was just plain rude. How sad. It was my cousins and I first time here. It was packed with people so we thought it must be good pretty organized got in line to order and then found a table outside and then periodically check to see if our number was called and it seems like you have to be inside to hear your number called, which kind of sucked. Terrible & Condescending Service. I'm pissed at this place because I actually do like the pastries here, so it sucks to have to leave this scathing review. I'm chillin' in there with a latte drink and a pastry. But the 2 items I ordered, made me wonder why did it seem to cost more than before because I came here many times before and ordered the same thing. I get prices are inflating but since I'm looking ate the menu and my receipt, something doesn't seem to add up. So I'm looking at it and I noticed Wow! They charge $1.45 for Almond Milk?! That's some Almond milk for sure. But I notice on their menu board, it didn't seem to add up. Looked like I was charged this phantom extra ¢.50 because their menu board says Almond Milk is only ¢.95 for that but they charged me $1.45 for it. So this lady came over being nice to people asking table to table if everything was good. She seemed friendly, so I asked her "Hey, do you guys charge $1.45 for Almond Milk?" She goes "Ummm, no." She looks up at the menu board and she says "It's only ¢.95" So I showed her my receipt and I'm explaining to her what's the extra ¢.50 for, then she became to have seemed annoyed at me. She went over to the cash register, checks it herself. She confirms by yelling at me from the cash register "They're ¢.95!" but then just walks away and I'm like that doesn't answer the question of why I was charged an extra ¢.50 and just to be clear, I'm the type that I need to figure things out so this not adding up was just starting to bug me even more now that I've asked. So I went over to her again as she's by the coffee station. I showed her my receipt again and I said "So how come I'm being charged an extra ¢.50 for my $7 latte plus ¢.95 for the almond milk? That should be $7.95, right?" Then she's telling me in a very annoyed way "It's because of tax." And I'm like "I don't think so because the tax is right below. The itemized latte just shows $8.45 when it should be $7.95, so what's the extra ¢.50 for?" I'm starting to think are places sneaking in extra charges that people are not aware of? Because why is she getting all annoyed at me for simply asking? The menu board clearly shows their pricing so I'm simply asking what is this extra charge for? When I asked her this, I swear, she looks at me like in this condescending way and obviously already annoyed and she says "Are you complaining that it's too expensive for you? Do you want to talk to the owner?" I was in a chill mood prior to this, I didn't think this was being escalated like this when I'm just simply asking what this mystery extra charge is coming from. She walks away and gets the owner, they're now looking at it at the register. They both confirm that is the correct price. She walks away from the register and leaves me with the owner. I re-explain everything again. He's looking at it from the register. Then I see it. Their computer system priced the latte at $7.50 but their physical menu board shows only $7. Well, how am I supposed to know that? I pointed this out to the owner, that their pricing doesn't match. No apologies, all he says to me is "We haven't updated the menu yet. Supposed to be fixed but not yet." I told him "You guys need to fix that then." As I was leaving, I passed by that lady and I told her "So it's you menu board that's not matching up. Your menu is not correctly priced." She then just looks at me and says "Oh sorry." But I can tell she didn't care. Anyway, if you're going to Pandor or anyplace since prices are going up, check if they're pricing things up to date. I get this, I understand this. But what I don't understand is the attitude towards me, why say "Are you complaining it's too expensive for you?" Maybe because I wasn't thinking this was going to go like this that it didn't register right away, but as I walked away and thought more about it, that was a fucked up way to talk to customers, and for what? Because I'm simply asking a question of why I was being overcharged?! I never had a problem with this place, like I said, I like their pastries here. It's leaving a very negative taste in my mouth, been a few months since I came here and now I came back, that's what I'm left to experience. Good pastries. But keep an eye out for price changes that aren't advertised. And seems like the customer service needs to have some re-training for certain people. read more

You order at the counter, then go find a seat and they bring your food. After about 20 minutes I received my order but with potatoes instead of salad so I had to give it back. Then after about 15 minutes longer we finally waved down the cashier to inquire about our order and it turned out the coffee we ordered were at the counter, which no one told us about, so we had lukewarm coffee. Our food took 45 minutes and yes it was lunchtime but the turnover is fast, others got their food quickly and left. First off, the staff here is amazingly nice! Super knowledgeable and kind, and they move the line quickly. Menu is easy to understand, not super complicated if it's your first time here! Cafe is on the smaller side but they have some dine in seating, outside has much more seating if you plan on spending some time. Drinks are crafted nicely and the food and pastries look amazing, I really wish I can try them all they look THAT good wow!! If you want to line up another cafe for your next trip, give Pandor at the Marketplace a try. You will not be disappointed! read more

I've had this place bookmarked for a minute but didn't realize how close this is located to my house! I arrived here at lunch time on a Friday afternoon and this place was buzzing! They have an entire food menu but I was here for dessert. We tried the fruit tart, lemon meringue, Oreo cheesecake, and the OMG bar. I also grabbed a few croissants to go. The OMG bar was OMG so so good. The fruit tarts were good but the crust of the tart was something to be improved. The same goes for the lemon meringue, great flavor and tart but the crust was way too crunchy and tasted pre-made (not fresh). The croissants were so crispy and flaky, I enjoyed them! I recommend the OMG bar and the croissants! I'll be back to try the other baked goods. read more

Found hair in my food -- very disappointing experience I had a very unpleasant experience at Pandora Restaurant. I ordered an Almond Croissant and found a hair baked inside it. When I informed the manager, instead of apologizing or showing concern, he said, "It happens, it's an accident." This response was very unprofessional and made me feel that hygiene isn't taken seriously here. Later, the manager even told me to go get a refund because they needed the table -- which felt very disrespectful. I also spoke to the owner, but unfortunately, he reacted the same way -- as if finding hair in food was a normal thing. I was left with the impression that they don't follow proper food safety or cleanliness standards. I hope they take this matter seriously and improve their hygiene and customer service, because no customer should experience this. read more

I am soooo glad this cafe is near by because I absolutely love everything about it! Their baked goods are displayed and all look very appetizing. I ordered the pecan tart and I will order it again! It's that good! The customer service was very patient with me. I was on the phone and had to excuse myself as she was patiently waiting for me to give her my order. I ordered the affogato with nutella gelato. When I received it, I was surprised to find something on top. It was so beautiful, I didn't want to dig into it. Everything in that affogato was soooo delicious. I had to call the cafe to ask what was on top and found it was an oatmeal raisin cookie! It totally complimented the affogato! Thanks for that hook up! I'll be ordering that cookie separately next time! The cafe itself is spacious. There was lots of people inside enjoying each others' company and their food and drinks!
