My family & I visited Paradise Dynasty for the first time last month. I reserved a table on OpenTable for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon, and we didn't have to wait long to be seated upon arrival. The place is upscale, yet still casual. I thought their indoor temperature was quite warm, but I'm unsure why; maybe it was because of where we were seated (booth near the back). Also, the service was friendly, but a bit slow during our visit. We ordered a variety of dishes to share.

My faves were the Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao ($20.75), which was a colorful dumpling flight with interesting fillings; and the Chef's Special Assorted Sweet Mochi Duo with fillings of Green Tea Matcha & Black Sesame ($14.88),...

We tried different XLBs, the original is a classic, garlic was all our favorites, black truffle was a bit subtle (can pass next time), and the birria was interesting to try. The birria tasted very tomato-y, not as meaty as imagined,...

but it was actually not bad. Very soupy. The garlic was all our favorites as it really bursted in flavor. The classic XLB was also really nice, the dumpling skin is quite thick, the soup is very rich, pork meat was very flavorful. We also ordered other items like the sweet and sour pork (pretty good!), walnut shrimp (had an odd lemon taste to it), string beans (pretty standard), and the fried rice with pork (this one was pretty good too). Overall the food was pretty good but it does get pricey. Service was also pretty friendly and efficient as well. The restaurant is smaller than the one compared to Costa Mesa, but quality was still up there.

This was my husbands and i's first time here and it's located at the old DTF location. The overall look is very cool, vibrant, and boujee feel. Theres a nice little bar seating area and ample amount of table seating inside. And like DRF they have a viewing king of area where the dumplings are being made. Another thing that paradise dynasty offers is a HH Monday thru Friday 2:30pm to 5pm - 50% XLB, rice dishes, stir fried noodles, dim sum, and appetizers plus $2.99 each on regular drinks, Sapporo and house wines . Which I think is a pretty good deal! The food was incredible. I've been wanting to try the 8 flavor XLB and it did not disappoint. The cheese and the bbq pork were flavors that weren't bad but just not something I would have thought for a xlb. But they weren't my favorite lol.

I'd say from the 8, the black truffle and the crab meat with roe were the best and had the most flavor. They had a special birria xlb and that was also very good. Really tasted like birria and had a lot of flavor to it. It came with...

like a little salsa, didn't really need it but it was definitely really delicious! We also got the cucumbers which I'm just a sucker for and they were very light and refreshing. Also order the prawn and pork wontons in chili sauce which was very good and not spicy at all, and the fried pork chop fried rice which was very well seasoned and the pork was very juicy with a nice little crisp on the outside. For dessert we ordered the chocolate panda buns. Very pillowy soft . Do be careful to not eat it right away because it was piping hot when it came. It's like molting lava when you bite it open it up so do be careful when biting into it. May be messy. Overall our experience and service was wonderful and will definitely come back again to try the other food items. Shawn was our server and he was great and welcoming during our stay .

This was such a fun dinner! I came with my coworker to celebrate her new job, and we were so happy we tried it! We had a reservation even though it was a weeknight, and I'm glad we did! It still gets busy. We loved sitting close enough to the window to see them making the dumplings. The restaurant really is beautiful. We both got the special so we could try all of the flavors of the dumplings. We both loved the crab and the original xiao long bao. I also really liked the kimchi, and then probably the truffle bao. The cheese bao threw me off bc it was so cheesy, and the garlic bao was veryyyyy garlicky (which I like). The bbq pulled pork threw me off because I didn't realized it was going to be like American pulled pork. So lots of fun flavors that were unexpected. And it was great because now I know which ones I really like for next time. We also got the cucumber salad and the Dan Dan noodles. I loved the Dan Dan noodles yalllll! Those were excellent. And lastly er got the chili wontons which were great as well. Would definitely come back!

Popular Chinese spot that serves cuisine from different regions including delicious soup dumplings or XLB, which inevitably causes them to get compared to a popular Taiwanese chain. This place also actually originated in Singapore, I think. It is located in or at least part of the Americana at Brand mall in Glendale, so the traffic can get hectic at times. The space itself feels pretty elevated and has a classy vibe to it and the service is prompt and attentive. I've been wanting to try this place, but made it a point to come in to try the limited collab dumplings with Burritos La Palma (birria dumplings). Came in on the later side, so it wasn't super busy and was able to order a happy hour beer as well. I wanted to try the classic XLB dumplings in addition to the collab dumplings. Both were very different and I enjoyed both a lot! The dumplings were well structured and held firm (without breaking) when dipping and bringing them to your mouth and chewing. Both were bursting with plenty of flavor. Would love to come back and try more things on the menu other than the dumplings. Might be good to have a larger group to share family style. Also want to try the noodles at the affiliated restaurant that's connected.

Service was good. Our server was super friendly. went in for lunch and the food options were great. They do not have any beef dishes but everything we ordered was great. We ordered the rainbow xiao long bai and the collab birria ciao long bao - all flavorful and I think I like this better than Din Ta Fung. The sweet and sour cod was delicious and crispy. The chow mein had wok hay taste. The pork fried rice was also delicious. So far we enjoyed and will definitely go back.

My boyfriend and I decided to check out the happy hour deal at Paradise dynasty, and it was so worth it. The interior is beautiful and spacious and our server was friendly and attentive. There are a couple of items that are highlighted that are part of the happy hour deal of $50% off the dim sum, appetizers, and some noodles, or fried rice options. We ordered the Szechuan Xiolongbao, the special Xiolongbao which came with 8 different flavors, the original one, and then the wontons in chili oil, and veggie spring rolls. We also ordered a Thai iced tea and a passion fruit iced tea. Our favorites were the Szechuan Xiolongbao, the original, and the wontons in chili oil. We weren't a big fan of the speciality Xiolongbaos because some of the flavors like the bbq were not all that great. The original flavors are way better in my opinion. Overall, the happy hour deal is so worth it. It's from 2:30-5:00 pm Monday to Friday, and I can't wait to come back and try some of the other dishes here!

The Happy Hour from 2:30pm to 5pm offers most appetizers at 50% off. Don't sleep on this deal! The food is just as good as when it's offered during lunch or dinner. We got their cucumbers (perfect for this summer heat), the spare ribs, the pork chops over fried rice, the wood ear mushrooms, the rainbow XLB, and kurubota and shrimp wontons in scallion sauce. Everything was tasty. And the portions are generous! Our server Maria made sure our water glasses were filled and that we had extra napkins just in case. I appreciated her quiet but sincere hospitality. She gave us excellent service with a smile. Every staff member we interacted with was courteous and genuinely nice. The interiors are gorgeous and the booths and tables are cozy. They aren't bunched together (like they are at Sugarfish, for example) to guarantee privacy. Perfect for date night or a family brunch. I'd be proud to bring loved ones here. Love this location. We will definitely be back.

Came by for lunch the other day and it was a decent experience. Paradise Dynasty is a Singaporean brand with numerous branches throughout Singapore and now the world. Made a reservation for lunch and our table was ready upon arrival. Parking is available in the paid mall lot, valet, or complimentary at the mall next door. The restaurant menu seems to be slightly Americanized while retaining 80-90% of the menu from Singapore. Started off with the signature xlb which had an awfully weird pulled pork one which was probably for ang mohs. The one in SG has it with cheese which was bizarre enough. Service from our waiter was plesant. There seemed to be a few Ah Lians working FOH. The interior of the restaurant felt luxurious, just like in Singapore. The fried pork chop was excellent, super flavorful and juicy. The typhoon shelfter Hokkaido scallops were my favorite and the scallops were gigantic and the flavoring was excellent. This was a chef's special and the bottom of the menu stated that it was for Spring of 2025...ending on 4/30/2025?!? The steamed chicken was very unlike the Malaysian kampong chicken that I'm used to in Singapore. This version was quite dry... Unlike Singapore, there are complimentary napkins. Wet naps are usually charged per napkin in Singapore, in addition to the plate of nuts that are conveniently placed on the table. ~$53/head after tax and gratuity for lunch.

Friends and i werent sure what to eat and dtf was almost a 2 hr wait. Decided to try out paradise dynasty and it was amazing. No wait at all and we were starving. All the food came out fast. The ginger chicken had no bones but i wished it came with all dark meat. Not sure if we couldve requested that. The xlb was good and so was the shrimp fried rice. My friend said the soup tasted like a korean dish. Ended up with left overs and finished the rest the next day. Ordered from marking a paper menu they gave and forgot to order the birria xlb to try. Server was amazing. He came out like a ninja to refill my water. I didnt even see him check.

Really nice inside and service is amazing. Some of the dishes were good and some were so salty. The taro pastry is great, crispy, flakey and just so good. Dumpling is good. I like the pork original XLB. Skin is thin, meat flavor is good. Pork and prawn wonton in chili sauce. Ok. I wish there was more flavor The newest collab they had is the birria dumplings and those were good with the jalapeno dipping sauce. The meat was perfectly seasoned and paired really well with the dipping sauce. We also got the porkchop fried rice and that was really good. I like the texture of the porkchop and it was flavor nicely. The dish that made me so sad was the green beans with minced pork. So salty. Really hard to eat alone, you have to pair with rice or something else. Overall the food was ok. But service is soo good and attentive.

I think like most people, I came here for the rainbow xiao long bao. I think it's fun to try on a first visit but not something I would repeatedly get. I think it's a great sampler to see what flavors are your favorite and then just focus on those. I've been to the location in South Coast Plaza once a few years ago, and personally I found the flavors were more rich over there. The flavors at the Glendale location tasted more muted that nothing really stood out. When they arrived, the temperature was also more lukewarm. Luckily, everything else we got was mostly decent. Everything was prepared nicely and arrived quickly. The stand out was the woodear mushroom appetizer. The Szechuan Vinaigrette was a game changer, that it makes me want to replicate it at home. The Dan Dan noodle was mostly just nutty tasting and not much else, but luckily the noodles weren't made soggy from the sauce. Finally we got the chili pork wontons, and we thought this was not super flavorful, but nonetheless still a decent dumpling. Glendale is closer for me, but if I were to go back I'd make it a point to go to South Coast Plaza.

I really enjoyed the food! I do recommend trying the Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao with 8 different flavors first if you're not sure which ones you like. I ordered: Birria Bao (4/5) - It was good and even better with the sauce! Black Truffle Bao (4/5) - Also really good! Chilled Tofu in Soy Sauce Vinaigrette with Crispy Onion (5/5) - My favorite! Seriously! Fried Rice with Shrimp (5/5) - My second favorite! Chicken Wonton in Chili Oil (5/5) - My third favorite! Stir Fried Spinach with Minced Garlic (4/5) - Not bad at all. Our server Bryan was super nice and added nice touches to make our visit so special! We just popped in for happy hour which is an amazing deal. Most of the popular items included their signature XLB was half off!! I wanted oolong tea and my husband wanted jasmine so I caved and said ok Jasmine is fine. But Bryan surprised us and brought two pots because he heard the quick exchange between my husband and I. That was super nice and thoughtful. We ordered three steam baskets of XLB and some poached dumplings and the chili wontons. So pleased with every one. Bryan came back after the food quickly came out and said let me know what you think we can switch it out of something doesn't hit the mark! What a gesture but it was all good. We had an incredible experience at Paradise Dynasty. They were incredibly prompt with our reservation, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. The service was seamless; our server, Kevin, and the manager, Emily, were both remarkably attentive and kind, ensuring every detail of our meal was handled with care. As for the food, the Xiao Long Bao were stunning--perfectly pleated with a rich, savory broth. The radish pastry was light and flaky, and the cucumber salad provided a crisp, garlicky crunch that rounded out the meal perfectly. First time coming here after discovering them at the Year of Fire Horse Lunar Chinese New Year lion dance celebration at Americana. They had a row dumpling characters that were circulating for celebratory event. It was busy inside the restaurant with a 50 min wait, so I made an RSVP online instead to avoid waiting. Their xlb varieties mostly contain pork. I initially wanted the black truffle or crab filling, but those contain pork; yuck-butt for me. Instead, I ordered the chicken xlb since I don't eat any pork products. They offer the 10 piece or smaller 6 piece sets. We liked their thinly shredded ginger slices to customize our spicy sauces.. Service was slow as they were understaffed & busy for the weekend. Their menu is somewhat confusing and distracting with the numbered codes & categories. We were jumping around back and forth trying to place our orders on the self directed order sheet, while toggling at their QR code menu on our iPhones. The QR code menu includes pictures, which are extremely helpful. They also offer a full bar. At front entrance, we noticed they offer happy hour special during week days. The new restaurant occupies the former DTF space on the end of the Americana property site. What we got the: (rating on 10 scale) 1) cucumber salad - 8.5, zesty tangy sauce 2) sautéed vegan green beans - 7.5, green beans didn't stand out as fresh & crunchy 3) 3 orders of chicken xlb - 8.5, fresh & flavorful, works like more soup inside 4) Shanghai rice cakes with chicken - 7, bland flavor, too brothy bc of the chicken substitute, extra $5 chicken add on for no pork substitute 5) chocolate lava panda baos 6) salted egg yolk custard xlb (I got the 10 piece) - fresh, piping hot, custardy gooey inside, this was a 10 Their food quality cannot compete with the unparalleled consistency of DTF, especially at the similar price points. Yet it was fun to try something new and different. The standout was their salted egg yolk custard xlb dessert !!! read more

Tried Paradise Dynasty and the colorful xiao long bao sampler was ok -- not all flavors were good but they were juicy and well made. We also ordered the cucumber which did not have much flavor. My favorite dish was definitely the wontons in chili oil. The restaurant was lively and a bit busy, but service was friendly. Overall we left feeling very underwhelmed and would have much rather ate at din tai fung. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by Paradise Dynasty. I really didn't know anything about it - I appreciated being able to read some of the articles written about it on the wall once we entered. Our waiter Ian was so wonderful - he guided us very well through the menu. We ended up ordering the regular Xiao Long Bao, some cucumbers and the Shanghai rice cakes. Everything was delicious - especially he Xiao Long Bao. The skin was so thin and the broth inside was so flavorful and rich. The filling was perfect. Such a delicious spot that rival DTF. The standouts are the radish pastry, angus steak, and xiao long bao. I did try the specialty 8 flavor XLB and the original, truffle, and kimchi were my favorites, but I'll probably only order a single flavor next time. Their table side chili oil is everything; and adds a nice kick to some of the blander dishes, like the fried rice and radish pastry. A delightful excursion from the typical. This is the second time we come here, and we decided to try something different. And I think this is where Paradise shines. Aside from the typical XLB, their other dishes are really good as well. Their Shanghai pork bun is crispy the on the outside and juicy on the inside, just cooked perfectly without being too oily. I also like their radish pastry, very flakey outside and tasty radish paste inside. Our server, Amy, is very attentive and helpful. She definitely adds to the overall dining experience. Take out only. Pretty bummed after having high hopes for this new spot. I can't help to compare it to DTF but it just didn't win in any category. I wasn't fan of the 8 piece sampler which they are known for. We didn't love any of them. No vinegar sauces given for the dumplings. The pan fried only come with 3 pieces per order. The sweet and sour chicken was tasty. The radish pastry was almost too rich. The cucumbers weren't as crunchy as I'm used to. The green beans were really nice and unique. Just overall most dishes were disappointing. I don't think I'd return in person or for takeout especially when I'm obsessed with the competitor. Came here hoping to try a DTF alternative and a good family fun dumpling spot. We were enticed by the rainbow dumplings and all the tik tok videos. It was easy to make a reservation, we were sat even though we arrived a few minutes late. You can park in the Americana or the gallerias The food was just okay, the rainbow dumplings lacked flavor. Paradise Dynasty recently took over the old Din Tai Fung spot, so of course we were curious to try it. I won't compare the two (that's a tough benchmark), but overall the food here is decent. They really market their rainbow-colored xiao long bao, which is fun and eye-catching when it comes out. Some of the flavors were actually really yummy, while others were just okay. The wrappers are very thin, which I appreciate, but a few of the dumplings had ground meat that was a bit tough instead of tender and juicy. Overall flavor-wise, it's solid but not something that blew us away. Service was also pretty slow -- dishes took a while to come out and we found ourselves waiting more than expected. It's a decent option if you're craving soup dumplings and want to try the colorful variety, just don't go in expecting Din Tai Fung-level consistency or come if you're in a hurry. read more

Food was good but it's not as good as the prior Restaurant that was here, Dinn tai fung. They moved around the corner and I would go there next time if I'm in this area. The chicken soup dumplings were good but not amazing. The sweet and sour chicken was good but chicken was slightly overcooked. Short ribs the pork was a little overcooked as well . Came for a birthday party. It was very easy to make a reservation for a large group. We didn't have to order ahead of time (it wasn't a private event or a banquet deal). There were LOTS of options for teenagers who like what they like and don't want to be adventurous.... but plenty of interesting options for those who do. Some added notes FYI. - Specialty Dynasty xiao long bao. Sampler of 8 pieces, all different flavors. Good deal, but if someone got the flavor you wanted, you're out of luck. - Signature original XLB. Now we can all have a taste of the same thing! - Pan fried kurobuta pork bun. I didn't get to taste this. Must be good if the other side of the table didn't share! - Poached veggie and pork dumplings - VERY good! - Veggie and chicken wonton thick chicken soup. The wontons are delicious and didn't fall apart. The broth is delicious. - Fried Pork Chop - a HIT! Crispy, no after taste, well seasoned. Had to order more. - Black Pepper Angus Beef with Basil. Delicious, tender, well seasoned. Another HIT! - Prawn and walnut. Solid order - Sweet and Sour Cod Fish. Very good. Crispy even though it was drenched in S&S sauce. - Egg fried rice. VERY GOOD! - Chicken Breast Thick Chicken Soup. I wanted to order noodles to share and I ordered incorrectly and ordered this instead. This is more like ramen. That is to say, noodles in a bowl with meat and veggies good for 1 or 2 people. VERY good! - Hot and Sour Soup Shredded Pork Noodle. I didn't get to taste but there were no leftovers. - Panda Chocolate Lava Bun. So much fun. Wasn't as bland as I was dreading. Actually tasted good. The kids liked it better. I personally like my buns with Asian fillings like red bean paste. - Taro Paste XLB. Another pleasant surprise. - Jasmine Tea and Oolong Tea have no refills. Good tea though. - Mango pudding. Delicious! Has real pieces of mango. Our server was patient and long suffering. Love this place! Even before they opened in Glendale, we had already visited and dined at their locations in Singapore and Hong Kong. As expected, the experience here is just as amazing. Brilliantly placed in the old din tai fung location we now have paradise Dynasty, which in my opinion is significantly better. With many options, everything we have ordered was great! They have a sampler option for the xiao long boa that I highly recommend where you get a taste of each one. This way, you know which one you loved and can order according to your taste preferences. The hot and sour soup is amazing, my husband loves it more with the noodles, I'm good either way! Favorite bao for me, personally are the black truffle, kimchi, szechuan and original. The stir fry noodles are great, the fried pork chop is wonderful. We have had this 3 times in the last week and a half! It's definitely a love for us. I genuinely enjoyed them all except the Szechuan and BBQ, but I love that they offer this variety. We also ordered the radish appetizer, which had a really unique flavor and texture -- definitely a must-try. The garlic string beans were out of this world! I loved the addition of minced pork; it gave the dish so much depth. The dan dan noodles were light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. From reading the reviews, I'm going to assume there are incentives to leaving a 5 star review for the servers. I'm sure service is great, this is for food only and take out experience. For roughly $70 of food (and that's with a $12 credit on DoorDash pickup), everything lack flavor and wow factor that I was expecting. Ordered the Specialty Dynasty nothing really stood out to me. The pulled pork was probably my favorite if I had to choose, the girlfriend said kimchi but not enough to have a whole order of them. Chicken wontons in chili oil and poached veg+chx dumplings were also nothing special. I did enjoy the wood ear mushrooms and the sweet and sour baby back ribs, but unfortunately, I don't think they are better than their competitor Din Tai Fung. During the pick up, worker was on the phone, no biggie, and when I said I was picking up he handed me the order. I stepped to the side to let him finish his phone call, he put them on hold and then helped me. I had asked if I can have extra chili oil, was told all they have is sriracha and I said I guess that's fine give me like 5, then he said oh I found three chili oils, I said great that's awesome you're awesome, and then he goes "u good?" And I didn't hear him I guess and he asked again louder slightly more aggressive," u good?!" Not that I was super bothered by it, but you definitely aren't getting the high end service you'd get at Din Tai Fung lol read more

The restaurant was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Our party of 5 decided to dine at Paradise Dynasty to try out their Birria XLB crossover with Burritos La Palma. This visit was my first time at the restaurant, and I came out with an overall great impression of the place. Since the crossover item launched today (5/11/26), I didn't know what to expect other than it should be decent since I like XLB and birria, separately. The end result was flavorful, and it was a positive experience for me. Their garlic XLB also stood out to me as the garlic aroma enhances it just enough to make me want to get this over the regular XLB for my future visits! The most surprising item from the evening was the Radish Pastry! The radish filling was warm and soft, yet the pastry shell was extremely flaky, to a point where I can't think of anywhere in the US that serves something of similar caliber! Last but not least, shout out to our server Michael, he was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs, and his excellence was the icing on the cake for the entire dining experience this evening at Paradise Dynasty for our group! Paradise Dynasty! They are finally in LA! This location is located at the Glendale Americana shopping center, and right next to Bourbon Steak House. Although this location used to be DTF, I feel Paradise Dynasty is a level up from DTF. Parking - They are not currently validating parking from the Americana structures yet. But we parked at the Glendale Galleria Parking structure B and walked over. Galleria Parking is free, and there is parking structure A and B near by. Seating - We had a reservation on a Tuesday lunch for a party of 8, and we got in right away. The hostess were telling me that reservation is recommended, especially on weekends as they get packed and wait time can get up to 1.5 hours. Food - Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao (Rainbow colored with 8 different flavors): All their colorings are from natural ingredients like beets, spinach, and squid ink. Each XLB have different flavors. They are original pork, cheese, garlic, crab, black truffle, Szechuan, and kimchi. They even have a flavoring guide to guide you to eat from light flavors to heavy flavors, taking you to a platte flavoring tour. While all flavors are delicious, my favorites are definitely the cheese, truffle, and the garlic flavors. Radish Pastry: This is a buttery flaky pastry filled with savory radish threads. Perfectly seasoned, deliciousness in every bite. However, quantities are limited, we were told they only make so many a day to ensure freshness. Stir-fried Taiwanese Cabbage with Garlic: Perfectly wok tossed, with right amount of seasoning. Not overly salty or oily. This dish was cooked skillfully to highlight the sweetness of the Taiwanese cabbage, while keeping it's natural crunch. Stir-fried Black Pepper Angus Beef with Basil: Tender beef wok tossed in savory peppery sauce. Heavier flavor, definitely recommend eating it with a bowl of white rice. Fried Rice with Shrimp: Another perfectly wok fried dish. One of the best fried rice I've had in LA. It can come hand in hand to be first with the Royal Crown Fried Rice from Star Leaf. You can definitely taste the wok hei from this fried rice. Panda Chocolate Lava Buns: Cute little panda buns, over flowing with high quality chocolate. A great dessert to finish a meal Taro Xiao Long Baos: Each little tiny XLB were filled with an abundant of taro paste it made a taro lover as myself felt happiness in a mouth full. I love this place have a picture menu and an allergen list via QR code. My friend who has a dairy allergy and another fried that is vegetarian can easily select dishes to their dietary needs. They have a lot of tables that can accommodate parties larger parties of 8-12 guests, definitely recommend for a family gathering. They even provided my toddler kids bowl and and kids utensils. Unfortunately, the food at this location didn't quite live up to what we were hoping for. That's not to say anything was bad -- everything was perfectly fine -- but for a similar price point and overall experience, we felt that many of the dishes were better at their nearby competitor, Din Tai Fung. Standouts from our meal included the black pepper beef, traditional xiaolongbao, and the broccoli, which we all enjoyed. The stir-fried noodles with chicken were just as impressive; perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and perfect to share. Shoutout to our waiter Mike V., who was friendly, fun, and genuinely attentive. We came for lunch on a Friday and they were able to seat two of us right away. Shawn was an awesome server who was helpful and super attentive. The XLB sampler is really fun and is a great way to figure out which kind to order on the next visit. The Dan Dan noodles aren't spicy, so don't let the menu scare you off if you like sesame but don't like spice. If you're looking for heat the kung pao chicken has some kick.
