Let me start off by saying that I have never felt more antagonized as I have since coming to this restaurant. Came here today with my family hoping to dine in and celebrate my brother's graduation. Their reservation services online is so faulty and only offers a reservation for a party of 6 people so my family and I didn't have a choice but to come early as soon as the restaurant opened (for reference, we are a party of at least 10+ people). As soon as we got to the restaurant, we explained our situation and immediately our request was dismissed. They told us they could only sit 6 people per table which we didn't mind at all, we explained we would not mind being seated separately, whatever covid regulations permit. Instead, this white, short, bald, fat guy who I assumed to be the manager offered us two small couches at the outside seating area. You would think they would offer us a better service and accommodate to our needs but we felt discriminated and invalidated. I know that the customer isn't always right but we communicated respectfully however we were still met with derision. I would much have rather went to PF Chang's if I knew their service was this terrible. read more

Parker's Lighthouse has been bookmarked for quite some time! I'm glad that I was able to finally stop procrastinating and try them out. So let me start by saying that I am a sucker for having good meals on the water especially seafood. It's the way to my heart okay? Just get me a cute patio, on top of some water accompanied by alcoholic beverages and great food. I'm sold! My most recent experience here was not bad but it wasn't great.. I was in the Long Beach area this past weekend with some friends and we all were cravings seafood. I thought to myself what better opportunity than to check out Parker's Lighthouse! When you get to The Pike you do have to park and actually walk in to the restaurant obviously since it's on the pier. The parking can get pretty expensive so make sure you don't forget to bring in the ticket for validation after your meal that way you only pay the $2. We didn't have reservations so bar seating was the first thing we thought of however once we all saw the beautiful patio views the changes of heart started. After we sat ourselves our waitress came over in confusion because apparently the hostess didn't tell us that these seats needed a reservation. Go figure.. That was figured out and we got down to business which was of course ordering our food! Food: Parker's Seafood Sampler -Jumbo lump crab cake, lobster taquitos, crisp calamari, coconut fried shrimp. 3/5 Rock Oyster- Parkers has their own version of the Rockefeller style 5/5 Fish & Chips- Fresh ling cod, Long Beach Ale batter, coleslaw, French fries, tartar sauce 3/5 The seafood sampler was just okay and I didn't feel that the price was worth it at all. The funny thing is that they call that crab cake "jumbo" and it comes out as tiny as ever! Oxymoron much? The calamari was meh.. and honestly the only good thing was the lobster taquito's. For $27 that was probably the worst sampler I've ever had but whatever. I thought that the oyster rockefeller would have saved the day from that crazy sampler but then the train officially crashed when I took a bite out of the fish and chips. Super fishy and the batter wasn't right I was sad because I really wanted to like the place because of the beautiful scenery it has to offer. On top of everything I really wasn't impressed with the level of service received from our waitress. Paying attention to detail is everything! I wasn't even going to mention it, but after she forgot to substitute the coleslaw for mashed potatoes and earlier when we were served our water the request for lemons went unfulfilled. 3 stars is generous I'd say and perhaps that may be why that is the average star rating.... read more

Cold chowder x 2, wasn't hot enough the first and second time around. Also the hot wings were overly salty. They were eaten, my hubby doesn't like to complain. I told him to say something and he refused because I had already request hotter chowder. My favorite thing was the Cesar salad. read more

I made a reservation for today, haven't even stepped my foot into this place and I already feel unwelcome. I called to ask a few questions and the guy who answered not only gave me attitude, he kept trying to make me feel stupid instead of answering my question. I hung up after feeling completely embarrassed and called again a few mins later. A women answered and at the end she said "you understand?" As if I did not understand English. Cancelling my reservation. Rude employees. Very disappointed. Simple questions, simple answers. I literally made a Yelp account just so I can write this review. So dissatisfied with food and Service. I hosted a Birthday Dinner for my son and had a party of 10. My wife made reservations for outside at 8PM. When we arrived the hostess was curt and rude. She was adamant on not allowing us to sit together and provided us two separate tables. Then two closer tables we're available while eating they had us move in a rush with another waiter completing the task. Our server was rarely checking on us and the view was gorgeous. However we did not get served until 9:30 PM the food was Blah! However steaks were good . Soup was cold bread was stale and overall experience was No Bueno! Took my precious mom and friend out to one of my most favorite and iconic restaurant overlooking the beautiful harbor. We savored our entrees in a family style and all were deliciously appetizing, especially their infamous Garlic Cheese Bread (we ordered another). This restaurant is located in a shopping center with a private lot. The parking is a flat rate of $15.00 and they don't accept validation. The location is surrounded by other restaurants and small shops. We came here for New Years and got to experience the New Years Prefix dinner. It had 3 courses(starter, entree, desert). We started off with the Claim Chowder/Oysters, our entrees were the Fish and Filet, and last was a chocolate tart/creme brûlée . Everything came out in a timely manner and our server was on top of all his tables and gave us a great first impression. The prefix menu was $65.00 per person but if you break it down completely worth it and the portion sizes are reasonable not to small but also not to large. I really enjoyed my filet that came with mash potatoes and asparagus with a side of mushroom reduction sauce. The Fish was served with tomato's, green garnish with a sauce. Good Service, very nice guy who serve our dish. But the food was not the best, first, the sourdough bread was hard and stale; bland and not enjoyable. The chicken we order was Dry and Bland. The corn on the side look like cat puke, it taste off too. The mash potatoes was ok. Lobster was good with the Steak we got. Steak was tender and yummy. But overall the food was not the best. I really wish I could give five stars. My friends and I worked here back in the 90s. The views and the garlic cheese bread never disappoint. My SIL and kiddo enjoyed their cocktails and I liked the mocktail made for me. The clams were moderately sandy, the albacore sushi was fair to poor and the two rolls we ordered were pretty good. It had been a couple of years since we have been back to Parker's, and we remembered why. It was a beautiful Sunday, so we decided to head to the water. The wife was in need of some good protein with omega 3's and we wanted to sit by the water. We ordered the crab cake, the surf n turf special, and the mahi mahi. The food was ok, but nothing that stood out. The crab cake was choke full of crab which was awesome, but the cooking method was lacking as one side was overcooked and blah. On the surf and turf one of the filet cuts was nice and the other a little tough. On the other hand, the fish skewer was good and tasty. The wife's mahi was cooked well but as with the rest of the food, it was nothing stellar especially with the prices your paying. Even with the view, it is hard to justify $100 dollar lunch with just ok food. What was more troubling than the overpriced food was the service. One of the reasons the wife wanted parkers was the bread. We never got any. In addition to that, it was a mission to try to get a second beer that just wasn't going to make it in time. When the app got dropped off, I requested a beer list. The food runner never brought one. Ok. So I requested from my server, who dropped it off but never came back for the order. The food got dropped off so I requested a beer from the second food runner/server. I was literally on my last two bites when our sever came by to let me know that the beer would be on the way shortly, so I went ahead and cancelled the beer. But since he was there, we did go ahead and ask for sone tarter sauce since the wife hadn't touched her fish since she needed a little something more to add to the flavor.... or lack there of. After we were finished we asked ourselves why we had not been back? Oh yeah, last time when the wife asked for picatta sauce on her fish, the kitchen said no. Even though they had capers, white wine and butter. Sorry for wanting to add flavor to our food. In conclusion, overpriced for mediocre food and hit and miss service. read more

We live in Las Vegas and sometimes we drive to Long beach to dine there and enjoy the view. We reached out to David Makello, the general manager and apparently owner based on the ad in yelp. Eeeh. The filet mignon was good. Not the best. The lobster was dry. I ordered a mai tai and never got it. I ordered an ice tea and never was offered a refill. My partner got the garlic bread cheeseburger was one of the best tasting things I've ever had. Update the waiter just came and apologized for forgetting my drink and took it off the bill. I would definitely come back because the view is the best in Long Beach but I would stick with the burger and probably appetizers. read more

I LOVE their clam chowder! It's my absolute favorite. If I'm ever in Long Beach, I make a point to get chowder from this restaurant! I will definitely get excited about it because it really is delicious. It is a bit pricy, about $16 a bowl, but you do get full afterwards, so it's basically a meal. They have delicious entrees as well, I've had their sea bass, salmon, and I believe lobster corn dogs (that was a few years ago). I remember it being terrific. Came here for dinner on a Saturday night with my partner. We had a great view of the beach. The food was delicious. I had the Mariner Platter. The service was terrible tho. Our waiter, Greg C checked on us once, when he picked up our empty Clam Chowder plates. I attempted to get his attention twice to get more dinner rolls, but i was unsuccessful. *Update* I was contacted shortly after my review and addressed my concerns and was sincerely appologized to. They provided me with a gift card for a future visit. Although hesitant I went again and this time I stuck to chicken. The food was good. Drinks were amazing but still overpriced. Even with the $50 credit we spent an extra 70$... But I am happy and appreciate their customer service...... came here on Saturday 8/12/17 with my husband an kids. The place is really nice with a gorgeous view of the harbor. I ordered clam chowder and seafood linguine. I must say the food was so good. I ate all of it. However the horror began when I got home. I ate around 8:30/9 and got back to my hotel and went to bed at about 10:30/11. By 12:30am I started having stomach cramps. I thought I was maybe dehydrated because I had 2 glasses of wine so I got up to get water. But as soon as I drank water my stomach pains got worse. From 1:30-730am I was in and out of the bathroom. I knew right away it was the seafood I ate. My stomach pain was excruciating and I couldnt get any sleep. I felt so drained and I was afraid to eat anything for the rest of the day. I will probably never go back there again. Seafood isnt a food to treat lightly. Luckily I didnt end up in ER. But I spent over $40 for my food and it basically went to waste. Nice views even from indoor dining. Food was much better on last visit in August. The cheese bread appetizer was undercooked compared to others we saw being delivered to tables. Food was lukewarm. Strange that only the plates that they were being served on were hot. My seafood linguine was so-so and looked unappetizing(some clams barely open, size of scallops and shrimp shrunk). Once our favorite restaurant, we hadn't been back in years and we were more than pleasantly surprised. Remodeling has taken place, but the ambiance is still the best (with the great views), and Newman (our server), made wonderful suggestions and was very attentive. We were walking along the waterfront path and saw tons of empty tables here with the nice view of the Queen Mary and the water so we decided to stop for drinks and the view. We went inside to get a table and the hostess brought us out to the crowded part of the outside seating area which had an obstructed view. When we said we preferred the other tables, she lied and said there weren't any others even though we had just seen them. We had to return to the front desk and insist and finally were able to sit in the area with a nice view, but had to order from the bar since nobody was serving people in the nice part of their seating area. While sitting there with our drinks were saw several other groups prevented from sitting in the open tables around us. I feel like there was a meeting and they said "We make a lot of food good, but now we are gonna focus on fewer items to make them great". How about you make ALL the food great and leave the menu alone! I miss the bar and grill items on the menu. But I appreciate to a certain degree what they do have. If your looking for date night then..........maybe..... Id say look at a menu before you sit down and start ordering drinks first. This review is for an outdoor private party that I went to a couple of nights ago. It was a business event at 5-8pm on an early November evening and it was great weather, service was very nice and professional. There was a chef making custom grilled cheese sandwiches with meatballs, mushrooms and coconut shrimp served on trays throughout the party and two bars. Nice views and the space was plenty big for the 70-80 people who were there. Lounge seating with a fire pit and bar tables covered with linens. The parking was validated for a $2 savings and I paid $8. read more
