I have dined at Parkers Lighthouse for many years in the past already, where my first visit was back in 2005. In my past several visits, Parker's Lighthouse has never disappoint me. However, Mother's Day 2026 this year, I am shocked about the recent performance Parker's Lighthouse has done. Mother's Day 2026 was my 10th visit to Parker's Lighthouse & I am very disappointed at the overall service & food quality this restaurant does that I must update my review do severely drop your score down to a 1/5. Here are my reasons for a severe score drop from a perfect 5/5 to now a 1/5: 1) Days before Mother's Day 2026, I already called & set reservation for 12:30 PM. But by the time I came, slightly early at 12:15 PM, they told me to wait until 12:30 PM. By the time 12:30 PM arrives, they still tell me to wait. We did not get a table until 12:55 PM. That is disorganized in terms of the reservations. When we book for 12:30 PM, that means by the time we arrive around 12:30 (+\- 5 minutes, that means table SHOULD be available for us by 12:30 on the dot!) 2) They offer the brunch buffet. However, the brunch buffet is too expensive & not much variety. Your rival: Queen Mary across the other side of the harbor offers a WAY BETTER Brunch Buffet than yours. Queen Mary's Brunch Buffet have Crab Legs of King Crab & Snow Crab; their Buffet, no offense, crushed your Buffet service. 3) We requested a la carte in the last minute, which you changed our table to an outdoor lounge. We requested an umbrella for shade provide, but no service for that. So we are BAKED in the sun, which ruined our lunch. 4) A la carte service is SLOW & DISORGANIZED. Arrived at 12:30 PM. Meals come out around 2:00 PM. 5) Seafood linguine, too salty, too creamy.

Chilean Sea Bass, the Bok Choi Vegetables is not thoroughly cleaned out. My husband reported grains of dirt & sand still present in some of the Bok Choi vegetables; Chilean Sea Bass is too sweet in marinade. 6) Parking huge issue...

First time and celebrated lunch for our dads' birthdays. They keep the restaurant clean and there are great views of the shoreline harbor for most tables. There's also a bar area that has happy hour M-F 3-6 pm, can't wait to try this. Anabel was our server and she was great, very welcoming and accommodating. As for thee food, had a good experience trying the different entrees. The clam chowder was awesome but could have been a bit more hot but that's just my preference. Went and dined for lunch today on my lunch break from work and could not have had a better lunch experience. Came in and was greeted immediately by the host and was seated in the 180 water viewing area of the dining room. Henry then came and greeted me by name, provided a tour of menu, and asked for drinks. Shortly after he returned with my iced tea and helped me decide what to have as an appetizer as I was stuck between clam chowder and the brussel sprouts and ultimately choose the vrussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were fresh and perfectly baked for nice crisp crunch. The sauce drizzled atop and hummus accompanying it made the appetizer superb. For my main entree I choose the mixed grill plate which was nicely presented on a bed of grilled vegetables. The fish selection was fresh and the accompanying sauce and paste underlying the vegetables was scrumptious. I couldn't finish it all and Henry boxed it nicely for me to take to go.

He then said I ought to complement my meal with a butter cake to before I head back to work of which I obliged with how he made it sound so tasty. I told him that I had an allergy to strawberries but he said he do without and possibly...

The view is really nice and the food is actually good for a touristy spot. It gets kinda cold on the patio if it's not the summer. The breeze is very strong. Dress accordingly. The cheese bread here is very rich and delicious. They have a crazy thick topping on it full of mayo and cheese. Not a calorie deficit item. The calamari is always good, the sushi is consistently decent. They have a dedicated sushi chef. Clam chowder is solid and so are the steamed clams. We've been going here a long time and the food is consistently good. Happy hour has good prices. If you are gonna go all out the menu is pricey. We have before and prefer to go for happy hour. It's a good spot for a nice date or something special.

I visit this weekend with some friends . I needed to have some good views and food ! The service was speedy and I had the sweetest waitress . I took one star off because the fishbowl drink was not in a fishbowl and seemed a bit watered down . The lobster BLT was really fresh and I thoroughly enjoyed it as well as my sushi roll.

A great dinner with a great view! The Cioppino was very good. They have a nice selection of fresh seafood. The service was very attentive and friendly. It's a bit pricey, but it's expected since it's right on the water with views of the lighthouse and Queen Mary. It's great for special occasions or to take out of town visitors.

We went here for Father's Day. With reservations seems to be organized sitting us outdoors with lout the hassle of waiting. The everything we order was well prepared and delicious. I ordered a dozen of oysters but surprisingly they were very small ($49). You should ask what type of oyster to give an idea what you're ordering. Overall, the food and service were great. I would go back and experience the evening atmosphere. I'm sure it must be pretty.

There were seating options both inside and outside which I absolutely loved and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. Well I did not have a cocktail. One of my family members enjoyed their version of a bloody Mary OMG. I think what I like about this place most is that if you want to have an upscale experience, you totally can. However, if you're not in the mood for all the extras and you just want to go dine somewhere nice this fits the criteria also. I'm literally trying to figure out a reason to go back now.

Reserved for a pre-Mother's day celebration the night before. Service was great-- friendly front staff and attentive server. Our server was able to recommend us the best type of shucked oysters to pick that were "beginner-friendly." We went with the East coast derived oysters, and they were actually really good with no fishy aftertaste. Appetizers and entrees didn't take too long to come out-- around 15-20 minutes for all to arrive at the same time. I actually like their bread they offer as a courtesy because it had a hard, thick outer shell but was soft in the inside. Their butter is also heavenly, loved that it was sweet! Entrees were decent-- I got the scallops and they were soft and quite delectable. Prices range anywhere from around $30-$75 for their entrees, which I understand comes from the freshness of the seafood and that it is a fine dining restaurant. Ambiance definitely sets a low-lit vibe that would be best for date nights. Kind of hard to see the menu if you don't place the little table lamp in the middle of the table. But again, understand it's probably for the fine dining aspect. Do wish we were able to sit outside to get the nice breeze and view, so maybe next time!

Be ready for a spendy meal. We had a large group of 16 for lunch. It was very nice inside. Parking with validation was $10.40. I had the ahi tuna sandwich and eel sashimi. Eel is always good. The ahi seemed overcooked. He had the Chilean sea bass which he loved. We all shared oysters, calamari, garlic cheese bread(SO GOOD). I had a mango mojito which was delish even though the mangos in it were a bit under ripe. $1227.00 was our bill! They tacked on 18%. So his tip was $169!

Haven't been back here for a long while. The 1st time was here was for my HS prom's dinner back in the 80s and it's still standing and went back several time afterwards. Parking is fine with private paid parking lot (they do validating for it) or you can find paid or sometime free street parking or meter parking spaces. The place is overlooking the water and quite a view, especially during sunset. Spacious, nice, clean restaurant with great vibe. Services can be 80% hit and 20% can be miss. Most foods here are good but off the prices, so so, but you're most likely paying for the views and the location more likely. I really enjoyed the fresh oysters, calamari and fish & chip...well battered and well cooked. But overall, it a good place to hangout for sure.

I was really disappointed here. The food was okay, they told me a few minutes after ordering that they didn't have what I wanted and then the waiter hovered until I picked something new and I hadn't thought of a backup option and he seemed annoyed. They also took away our appetizer plates while there was still food on them and never asked if we wanted them cleared. Filled up half the table with water and then didn't come back to fill up the rest for 16 minutes.

While on a staycation in Long Beach, my wife and I found ourselves strolling all over The Pike area. We stumbled upon the Parker's Lighthouse and decided to pop in for a quick snack. We orderd a couple cocktails and some appetizers. I had an Old Fashion my wife went with a Pomegranate Basil Smash. For the appetizer we went with the Karage Chicken Lettuce Wrap, Crispy Calamari, and The Queens Roll. The service little slow, but thankfully we weren't in a hurry. Although we sat in the bar area, it seems to be a kool place for a date. There are bunch of window seats with ocean views that could set the vibe. The Lettuce wraps were our least favorite due to the lack of flavor. You most definitely will need to use the sauce it comes with. The sushi and the calamari were wonderful. The sushi was nice and fresh, and the Calamari was crispy and flavorful. The cocktails hit the spot. Overall its a good spot for drinks and light bites.

We had a great time...the view deserves all the stars. The service was great and our server was very kind to the kiddos and indulged them the whole time. The kids menu was a hit with our little ones, who enjoyed popcorn shrimp and a kids size fish and chips. We also shared a mixed grilled plate that was serviced with skewers and the fish of the day. It was a good and healthy plate. We also ordered the tollhouse pie which hit the dessert spot, but had a lot of nuts. All of the pier spots are clearly for the views. The food was good, but not the star of the show.

Great relaxing place the views are great the grass was so green when we visited not sure if it always is or just due to all of the rain lately either way it was real pretty. The views of the harbor are amazing. The ambiance is nice with white table cloths and dimly lit with a candle on the table. We went here for a late dinner and wanted a romantic vibe for the last night of our honeymoon trip. We found the place online and when we asked one of the staff standing outside where is the entrance to the restaurant, we were pointed to the other side of the door. Service is mediocre, slow and not very friendly. We were expected to order right away and when we asked to be given a few minutes, we ended up waiting a good 15-20 minutes for the waiter to come get our orders, considering the restaurant was mostly empty. Then it took a while to get our drinks as well. Food: We ended up just ordering Parker's Sampler, a Caesar Salad and a couple of drinks. The crab cakes were delicious, one of the best I've had. The lobster taquitos, crisp calamari, coconut fried shrimp were okay. They said the meal would feed two people. Nope, the food was barely enough for one person. The salad tasted okay. Drinks: I had the Mango Mojito and it was delicious. The husband had Parker's Punch which tasted delicious as well. Other than the drinks, we will be looking at other places for a late dinner in the future. For the prices, the food and service wasn't that great. read more

I went for nice, relaxing lunch by the harbor. Little did I know I was committing to an all-day entree-less extravaganza. I've rarely had slower, more unhurried service. If you're willing to take your sweet time, the food was great. But the service really left something to be desired. read more

Before I even made it to Long Beach for a convention, I scheduled a reservation online for a party of 6 for a business dinner. When in Long Beach I always go to Parker's. I made it there twice on this trip. We ordered 2 Parker's Samplers for 6 people and then a dozen raw oysters as appetizers. Everything was delicious and well prepared. I ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon and substituted mashed potatoes for the fingerlings, it was delicious. I love the crab and corn salsa on top. Others order the sea bass, Mahi with risotto, scallops, a couple the mesquite grilled Mahi, all was delicious. I was the only one who ordered dessert, Key lime pie that had the lightest meringue on top, but everyone grabbed a spoon and tried it. Went back the next day and sat in the bar, where we ordered crab and lobster taquitos, clam chowder, and lobster risotto. Again all were great. read more

Gabriella is an awesome server!!! My husband and I went to Parkers on Saturday 7/18/15, and I must say that this is the very best service we've received in the last year. We have a 9 month old daughter who is well behaved so we feel comfortable taking her to dine with us. At most restaurants we are not always greeted well but our server Gabriella was awesome. She not only did she continually check on us ... She made sure that she served our babies food first, like we asked. The food was also great. The food quality and food options are not great. My food was salty and vinegary. Cocktails Drinks are mediocre. Initial bread and butter was not fresh at all. The view is breath taking. Also I think customer service should be a lot better for such a place. People are edgy and can be rude. read more

My sister and I had the best sister time at Parkers yesterday. Our waiter, Mike S was wonderful. He happily made great suggestions to us. We settled on the shrimp and crab cobb salad...yum, fish n chips, of course, and lobster and shrimp taquitos. With that,we shared a bottle of bubbly. My boyfriend & I took my sister here for her birthday. The view is pretty, but I'll admit I've seen better. I had made a reservation the day before and when we got to the restuarant we spoke to the hostess. They got the whole reservation wrong. Over the phone I specially said for three people and that we perfered being seated on the patio. The only thing they had right on the reservation was my name. We got handed the menu and lets just say the waiter was overbearing. He decided to read the entire menu to us which you can imagine took about 10-15 minutes in itself. Maybe he thought we were incompetent or something lol However though, The food is 5 star. We all enjoyed it and the price isn't as bad as people say. Parking is validated & not far. Overall the enviorment was relaxing. read more

FRIST....Our waitress, AMANDA, took way too long to get my drink which was sitting on the counter for a good amount of time...enough time to water down my drink. SECOND...she never asked to take our food order even though she tended to the table behind us...even though they got seated AFTER we did. I was excited to score reservations to parkers for new year eve. We were seated outside and had an amazing view of the queen Mary and the fireworks that go off at 9pm. Unfortunately the positives end there. They had a 3 course menu. I ordered the lobster risotto and it was terrible, the rice and the lobster didn't taste very good, sticky mess. The oysters weren't too bad. I got lobster & fugilli for dinner. It was basically noodles tossed in a watery flavorless sauce with some lobster pieces on top. My boyfriend ordered a steak and asked for medium rare and got a very undercooked steak, wasn't even seared. For our last disappoint, the dessert. He got the banana foster butter cake which tasted okay, was way too sweet. Also got the warm chocolate tart and that was mediocre, wasn't even warm. I tried to cut it and it was so hard that a quarter of it flew off my plate onto the floor. The service was good but felt like we were being rushed the entire time. Our drinks and appetizer came out together if that gives you a better idea of how fast they were trying to move everyone along. Definitely not worth $65 per person, would have had a more satisfying experience at the nearest fast food place. Was really hoping to have a better experience here on New Years. read more

If you are from Long Beach, CA you have no excuse not to explore this historical location at least once and it's a mandatory must! The first time I've been to Parker's lighthouse was when I was in 3rd grade attending Stevenson Elementary School. We actually interned for a day and became waiters and waitresses, also cleaned the kitchen, prepared the tables etc. Good times back in the 90's. Since then there's been slight upgrades, it still looks the same but they've revamped the top level. Atmosphere: Very classy but caters to all forms of life, which is a great thing! Classy but realistic at the same time! Most occasions I've come in shorts and sandals, it is Long Beach guys! You can eat inside, outside, at the bar, whatever your heart desires. Awesome view of the beach, Queen Mary etc. Food: Generally speaking the food is awesome! Can't put a price on quality items. They also have a full bar, coffee, and desserts. Rockerfeller OYSTERS & Clam Chowder is to DIE FOR! They also make great LAMB and PORK CHOPS! Service: Always great, they cater to everyone's needs, whether you are dressed classy or just plain old beach bumming it :) Tip: GET THE CLAM CHOWDER & ROCKERFELLER OYSTERS!!! Also check out the Queensview Room on Friday and Saturday nights as they generally have a live band out there! Great place for a DATE for sure!!! read more

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who was visiting from Arizona and hadn't been here in awhile. I looked at the yelp reviews and I was surprised to see that it was only a 3.5 rating. This was not our experience. We had a blast. The food was great. The service was better. While a bit pricey, everything we ordered was delivered timely and as described. Special thank you to Chelsea and the staff for a great time. You have lots of choices in Long Beach. Give the lighthouse a try! read more

Good service, food was good however I just didn't like the floor layout of this place and I saw a lot of managers just walking a round doing nothing. I didn't see one engage in conversation with customers. It was slow enough to see them do that and get feedback from people then and there. As someone who works in the food and beverage field I see this as a must. I was always taught to be engaging. The drinks always are what brings this review to a 3. When it comes to drinks they lacked flavor I honestly feel the bartender could do better. We ordered a vodka pineapple which tasted watery and had no ice, the Bloody Mary tasted like vodka and lacked flavor from any juices I was hoping they made their own Bloody Mary mix since they have a Bloody Mary as a signature cocktail on the menu. We will give this place another try I hope everything I talked about improves so I can give this place a 5 star on the next visit. read more

Absolutely love the service here!! I ordered the Filet Mignon with a Cesar salad and all of it was perfect! I would also really recommend their cheesy garlic bread! However, I will say every time I come here I can't help but notice how the waiters are dressed very uncomfortably for this type of weather? A great option would maybe be pollo shirts or lighter colored clothing, like all white instead of all black long sleeved! It just seems really unfit for this type of weather! read more

Perfect recommended spot for our last meal after a grueling educational weekend at the Long Beach Convention Center. We loved the view from all sides, clam chowder and we had the New York Steaks and a combo platter. Great informative server who knew the fish selection well. read more

Made reservations for Sunday at 11:30 am....opening time....Got there about 5 minutes before the reservation and there was a line to get in. I went to the Hostess and told her I had reservations for 11:30am and was told I had to get to the back of the line, as the reservation didn't matter, "unfortunately"! I immediately cancelled the reservation, which "didn't matter" and the restaurant just lost about $200.00 worth of business......I took my business next door and had a good meal. I hope to share my displeasure with all of my friends and acquaintances, so they do not experience incompetent treatment and make reservations that "don't matter"! read more

Great customer service. Lucy is so nice to give us the lounge. Travelling from Sacramento to LA, driving for 7 hours straight is really fun. Been up since yesterday morning so when I saw the lounge I'm ready to crash. Beautiful view of the beach, wonderful weather and nice atmosphere. Parker's Lighthouse has been a hit and miss with me. My friends and i normally come here for their raw oysters, oyster Rockefeller and clam chowder. Their raw oysters were best years back, but have since declined. Oyster Rockefeller has been consistently good and flavorful. Their clam chowder is rich, but lately found it to be watery with less ingredients. Parker's has a great view of the beach/Marina. Definitely come here for the ambiance and drinks. Parking located in the lot for the shoreline. After a good meal, you can walk around the adjacent shops. Grab a jacket on cool fall/winter nights. This location does get chilly. read more

I usually like this place but the service turned me off... our server seemed very annoyed working and I know it's was a busy day for her on the patio but she didn't have to be rude... especially when asking for water... I say if you want to come here for pricey drinks and food this is the place... great view to watch sunset but for that price and that rude service I rather skip there go to Gladestones where I know I'll get a Friendly service read more

My husband and I have been coming here for the past 20 years, and every year we've come, the service continues to decline. We use to like the attention of our Anniversary because we got engaged on the Shoreline, and although we were asked if we were there for any special occasion they don't do anything special... not sure what is the point to that. We drive there from Orange County and don't think it's worth the drive when we can pay for a better meal and service in our city. read more

First the good. Beautiful setting and great food: I had the seafood pasta (yum!). However, I can make excellent seafood pasta at home so I go to restaurants for the overall experience. This is where Parker's failed. Our server seemed bored and indifferent to our want of a pleasurable lunch. He was more of a messenger between us and the kitchen and did nothing to enhance our visit. The strawberry margaritas were returned for the lack of flavor and the requisite tequila; mostly ice with a little color served in a Mai Tai glass. No apology or remedial attempt from our unconcerned waiter nor was there an apology when all four returned margaritas appeared on our bill. We left full of good food but not happier than when we arrived. read more

My family and i went early hoping to get seated early. We knew they are not doing reservations for a big group ( we were 15 at the time) so we suggested to have us seated on three separate tables. This old guy didn't want to seat us, were so rude and gave us this horrendous attitude. What an awful place. So much for customer service read more

Came here for my birthday, it was not too packed which was a plus. We got sat by the windows where we could see the water.They also surprised me with a little cake! I can't remember the pasta that I ordered but it was delicious minus the oysters aha. If your a seafood person, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

My visit here was some time ago but I have been wanting to go back ever since. We went after a visit to the aquarium and was searching for a place to eat that was different and inviting. I did not yelp with place prior as it was a spontaneous visit which I'm glad we did. Obviously the best thing about this place is the location. Right on the water. Queen Mary in your view and possibly at the right time of day the beautiful California sunset. Surprisingly without any reservations or request we were seated right outside with the view. The food was definitely average. Nothing special to me about it. If your looking for a little romantic dinner with a beautiful view I would come here. Plus the exterior of it being a 'lighthouse' makes it that much better. read more

Our lunch experience was wonderful - thanks to our awesome waitress! She went above and beyond to meet our needs and made small conversations here and there. By making small talks - it made our party relax and comfortable and we were not rushed during our meal (we visited on a Sunday during peak hours.) She explained the menu, refilled our drinks, and gave us extra sauces without ever having to ask her. The food is okay and a bit pricey, but you are also paying for the view and the atmosphere. Sitting at the patio is best if you want to take pictures as you have the great view of the water and palm trees. Seafood menu changes daily and they taste fresh. Honestly I'm very disappointed in the service here. I came here for a birthday dinner. Our waiter was amazing.. but about 45 min after leaving I started showing symptoms of food poisoning. I was the only one at the table who ordered the sushi combination. I called to inform the restaurant about my experience and spoke with Yahira. I was told that "nobody else has called to report anything and that they would submit a report to their insurance company". I feel as though if a customer is calling to inform you that they got food poisoning from your restaurant you shouldn't start with " I haven't received any other reports" that's irrelevant to my situation and also very rude. I never received an apology or any type of sympathy. Definitely will not be returning. read more

I ordered medium spice, which turned out to be "medium if you breathe fire for fun." The papaya was also a little more raw than I personally like. The tom kha soup was decent, but the real MVP was the drunken noodles with beef. Those noodles were absolutely swimming in savory goodness and perfectly soft. I would've happily ordered a second plate and called it "dessert." Overall, I'd definitely come back--mostly because those drunken noodles are already living rent-free in my head.

We were seated outside, which also looked nice at first glance, but I noticed quite a few spider webs around the windows. My boyfriend even felt webs brushing against his arm while we were sitting there, which wasn't exactly the extra ambiance we were expecting. We ordered quite a bit: spicy Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, and of course the Thai tea with the popsicle. I'll give credit where it's due. The Bang Bang Shrimp was easily the best thing we ordered and was absolutely delicious. The Thai tea popsicle also lived up to the TikTok hype, although the actual Thai tea itself was on the sweeter side. If you love sugar, you'll probably enjoy it. My biggest complaint with the food was the spicy Pad Thai. The flavor was great, but it came with what felt like a whole chicken farm and a cameo appearance from the noodles. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

Since the delay was the result of an incorrect order, my daughter asked if she could at least receive fresh fries while waiting. Marisol told her she would have to pay extra for fresh fries. Marisol also claimed that she had repeated the order back over the phone when it was originally placed. That simply isn't true. She rushed my daughter off the phone, saying she'd see her in 15 minutes, without reviewing the order. We've continued to support A&J's because the food is consistently excellent, but experiences like this make it harder to keep coming back. Great food can only go so far when customers are made to feel dismissed instead of valued. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional customer service training so loyal customers receive the experience they deserve.

I showed up around 5pm and sure enough there was already a line forming in front of the restaurant. I imagine some other people were not as prepared and asked a lot of questions at the counter which can make the wait time even longer for other people in line. We ordered caesar salad, pizza focaccia with soppressata, squid ink tonnerelli, and ribeye tagliata. We also ordered some glasses of wine. After ordering, they walked us to our table inside. This location used to be a bbq restaurant- shady grove- before they closed down. And wow I was so impressed by the change of the patio vibe. It looked way nicer now under Due Fuori. I truly believe the vibe of a restaurant is equally important to the quality of the food, and this place nailed it. Also, apparently you can still order more stuff even after you're seated. They don't really have dedicated server for each table but the service was pretty efficient in my opinion. Now the food, everything was delicious, I have no notes! Caesar salad, very good. Pizza, omg amazing. And I'm not a pizza kinda person, so this is really a compliment! It's the thick kind of pizza, and they put some honey on it too which makes it even more delicious to me. Next was the squid ink pasta, another delightful dish. My only complaint is that it's not big enough of a portion, haha! The ribeye tagliata was so good. It was served with some salad that's very refreshing. The server explained to us that the original dish comes with the greens and cherry tomatoes underneath the meat, but they serve it separately to keep the freshness and crunch. The meat has some nice crust on the outside, very flavorful. We ended up taking some of the ribeye home, as we were already really full. It was plenty of food to share between two people. I definitely will come back to try other dishes, especially the other popular pasta dishes. This place has been really popular and I heard the line is still long even after a few months (or maybe it has been a year now?). Reservations are fairly easy to get, which make it an optimal choice if I'm looking to have a nice meal. The ambiance of Saint & Second is what sets it apart from other Belmont Shore restaurants. There's indoor seating and rooftop seating upstairs, and both areas are designed impeccably. The food menu changes every few months, which is great because it allows the chefs to experiment with new menu items, but I have been left missing past items. When I returned for the third time for my favorite hummus, I found that it was discontinued for a nice, but less tasty green hummus (which leaned more into an avocado flavor than traditional hummus flavor). Overall, if you'd like to return to Saint and Second, you should expect some changes to menu items every few months and plan accordingly. One appetizer I'd recommend is the tuna on crispy rice. This is a consistent item with great flavors that trump other tuna crispy rice dishes I've had at other restaurants. The amount of fish on this item is generous. If you are celebrating your birthday here like I did, they offer a delcious smores-flavored dessert. However, this dessert is not complimentary, and we were charged without the server informing us of the dessert's price. Overall, in terms of food, this restaurant offers a fresh array of menu items. I believe the server told us that their kitchen is a scratch kitchen, which contributes to the great quality of the food.

I went on a Thursday night and it was slammed. They do not take reservations but they do have a waitlist via toast that you can join while you walk around and wait for your table. Plenty to do and see on 2nd street. We ordered the party platter for 4 people! It was the perfect amount of food with leftovers to take home. Everything was cooked to PERFECTION. Our beef was a textbook medium rare and was so juicy and tender, as was the rest of the meat. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, as was all the shawarma. All meats were seasoned beautifully. The rice underneath was stunning as well and really caught all the juices from the meat on top. The roasted tomatoes, onions, and pickles were the perfect compliments to help freshen up the palette during the meal. The sauces were amazing and there was a clear favorite (the garlic sauce) which was annihilated by all four of us. Service was friendly! It was very packed so it was slow at times but understandably so. They come by and give you orange blossom water for your hands post meal - what a treat! We smelled amazing! NO NOTES FOR OPEN SESAME! It was crispy on the outside yet still gooey and moist on the inside. I'm not sure if they make their own ketchup too, as it looked clumpier and tasted really fresh too. The kids gobbled this up. Hummus and pita (5/5): It came with a generous amount of both hummus and pita. The hummus was well flavored and blended, and it really complemented everything on the table. The pocket pita bread was not what I had in mind (I'm used to thicker ones), but the kids really loved it overall. Ice cream (4.5/5): We ordered two scoops from the dessert menu. They were both really thick, creamy and almost chewy like liquidized mochi. It was a very interesting texture but nonetheless a nice tasty treat on a hot day. I much preferred the vanilla bean, as the pistachio tasted and looked rather artificial (and I'm a pistachio ice cream lover). This place had so many to-go orders during the afternoon we were there. I can see why. Food is super fresh and tasty. I think we will be back the next time we are visiting.

We called Parker's to make reservations and ask directions on Good Friday and were told they had reservations available and had a shuttle that could pick us up at our hotel. The shuttle arrived quickly and dropped us at the door. The shuttle is not one I would recommend for folks who are not fit, it's quite a step up into the van, but we had no problem with it. It was so nice to not have to do more driving that day. Now to the view. Great! The food. Wonderful! The service was excellent. The drinks were perfect. The ambiance there is very romantic. My husband had the mariner platter, the fish that day was salmon, and he said it was great. He also had a really nice wedge salad. I had the maple glazed pork with an add-on of a 6 oz. cold water lobster tail. It was a holiday so I went for the lobster, my hubby always eats a good bit of my order so that worked out well. Forget the butter, the glaze on the pork dish was excellent drizzled on that lobster. I love spaghetti squash and watercress so this dish really called to me. It was a sweet dish because of the maple glaze, really yummy. The chef will cook your pork to your desired doneness at your request too. Nice. What I really liked was seeing a menu that was not another cookie cutter seafood/steak restaurant entree list and at the same time was not extremely exotic. There were entrees and salads that were creative and different; but the ingredients were recognizable and not so unusual that you might be afraid to venture there, or so complex that you would need a cooking encyclopedia to translate the descriptions. We were off season on a holiday so Parker's was full but not overcrowded. I imagine last minute reservations are more difficult at the height of the summer tourist season, but we were happy to have such a lovely, welcoming place to dine after a long drive down the length of the state earlier in the day. David the manager thought there was a time limit on customer satisfaction. They treated us terribly and he invited us back, but said we didn't come in soon enough. The restaurant is still there, we were soured by our experience and it took some time to give them another chance, turns out they didn't want a second opportunity to correct the problem. It is clear this restaurant does not care about their customers. He offered us a free meal and I didn't read anything in the emails that I saved about a time limit. The restaurant is empty and he could have been true to his promise and made a better attempt with his "second chance" so instead he turned us away. Double Fail David Maskello, you have a lot to learn about management and customer loyalty. Never again. We went to Yard House and they took great care of us even though they were packed, they even gave us two free desserts for my birthday, they wanted to make up for the poor experience with parkers and they didn't promise us a thing. Go to Yard House, it is much much better. *******Update******after David's comment ......too bad you're not in the business of selling apologies, you would be rich. Fact is you got another chance and blew it. That makes Three tries for your restaurant and failed on every attempt. It's really pitiful and all the excuses in the world won't change it. You won't be getting another chance and my word of mouth travels very quickly. I am telling everyone I know about it, every chance I get. Already talked to two people That go there and aren't going there anymore. There will be many more that I reach and it will cost you money. read more

For a delightful Sunday brunch, Parker's Lighthouse in Long Beach is a fantastic choice! I went there for Mother's Day with a party of four, and it was a memorable experience. Nestled in the harbor with a stunning view of the Queen Mary, the ambiance is wonderfully nautical. The upstairs dining area, designed to resemble a lighthouse, is filled with light, creating a bright and cheerful atmosphere. The first floor offers a cozier, slightly darker internal dining space with an extension that's also light and bright. We opted for the Mother's Day brunch buffet, priced at $92 per person, and it was worth every penny. The variety was impressive--one of the best buffets I've had in a long time. They offered everything from oysters and shrimp to an omelet bar, mac and cheese bar, dessert bar, and salad bar. The unlimited mimosas were a fantastic addition, making the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were also very pleasant. We ran late by half an hour on mother's day and were worried we would lose our reservation. They accommodated us with ease. The server was very friendly and also brought multiple types of juices so we could have a orange, pineapple and cranberry mimosa. Attentive but not too much. Overall, Parker's Lighthouse provided an amazing brunch experience with excellent food, a beautiful setting, and a great view. A Truly Unforgettable Dining Experience at Parker's Lakehouse Parker's Lakehouse in Long Beach completely exceeded our expectations from start to finish. As a steakhouse, it delivers not only incredible food but a memorable ambiance perfect for any occasion. We started with the Caesar salad it was crisp, fresh, and perfectly dressed. The shrimp scampi followed, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. But the star of the show was the 28-day dry-aged Ribeye steak hands down the best steak I've ever had. It was cooked exactly to order, juicy, and packed with rich flavor. The mashed potatoes on the side were the perfect comforting complement. The service was truly above and beyond. Yajaira and our server made sure we were taken care of with warmth and attentiveness throughout the evening. Sitting on the third floor, we were treated to a stunning view of the Queen Mary such a special touch. I came here a few days ago and, I haven't been here since I was 10 and was very excited to find that my memories of this place were correct. My wife and I made reservation a few hours in advance not only was the girl on the phone (crystal?) incredibly polite but she managed to snag a window table for us when we arrived! My wife wanted to move closer to a view of the queen Mary and crystal proceeded to help the bussers set up the table. Something I never see a hostess do! We were then greeted by our awesome server Mayeli, who quickly brought drinks and bread. Te bread is amazing so don't let it fill you up, because our food was perfect! The calamari is reasonably priced for the portion and is served with a delicious sauce. We then got our entrees. My seafood linguini was very flavorful and incredibly filling. And my wife's bento box had so much sushi she had to take the rest home! When we finished our meal our server brought us a delicious free slice of cheesecake, and wished me a happy birthday! Our total was reasonable and we felt completely satisfied. And when we walked out the door the same hostess wished me a happy birthday! Perfect dining experience, friendly, quick and amazing service. We came to Parker's Lighthouse with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. When I first learned about this place from my friend who recommended it I decided to make a reservation through yelp and opentable.com but both systems declined my party of 13 reservation. I called in since there was no choice and was pleasantly surprised to not only get my reservation within a minute but also to get a table by the window with a view. Our group was coming from all over the area and began gathering at the bar, having drinks, waiting for everyone to join us. The drinks were amazing - kudos to bartenders! We ended up getting to our table 1.5 hours past our set time but the hostess didn't seem to mind at all. So far so good. When we got to our table - 2nd floor - the view of the harbor was really amazing! The server did his job pretty good, explained the specials, told us about favorite items, refilled our drinks, took our pictures - the usual solid service. The only thing I would wish for is that there was not such a big delay between the appetizers and the actual dinner. Other than that - everyone was happy with their food. Long Beach is quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of town. Hooked up with a fellow yelper and friend for lunch at Parker's Lighthouse. Since it was her "hood", she picked the locale but I chose the wine. She had the Chicken Alsatian Salad and I had the Macadamia Nut Crusted Tilapia, so the natural selection was the Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc. She is a petite wine drinker so I was more than happy to drink her share of this delightfully fresh nectar of the gods - full floral bouquet with delicate oak finish. She offered a small taste of her salad. Only after the first bite did I understand why her offering was so miserly. What a scrumptious salad! Perfectly ripen Point Reyes blue cheese so enhanced the moist and tender chicken breast. And is that raw apple cider vinaigrette I tasted? She told me the vinaigrette was good for her ears - who knew!? My Tilapia was complemented with coconut lemongrass rice. It was grilled and perfectly plated with pineapple salsa. I thought the miso sauce was a bit heavy but not to the point where it would matter to anyone else. Haha - yes I am a bit picky. Well the service was impeccable and my company was scintillating. What a find! I had to find a last minute place to have my anniversary lunch and im glad yelp lead me to this place. I called maybe 30 minutes before and crystal took my name down (call an hour in advance at least to make reservations though. She took my name down since it was slow and she understood my situation.) We got there and parking was convenient and easy to find. Crystal who took my reservation was incredibly sweet and funny (first time ive been to a fine dining place where the hostess had a personality.) She got us a lovely table outside and when we wanted to move inside the host that walked us over (kevin?) was proactive and got the ok from the front. The view inside is fantastic! Anywhere you sit there is a splendid view. Our server (mercedes) was phenomenal! Such a great energy and was incredibly knowledgeable about their incredibly large menu. The fresh fish is incredibly flavorful an you can really taste the freshness. Their beer on tap is super fun and apparently changes often. Their waiting service was pretty fast and efficient, given that we were seated in the patio area, closer to the water, facing the Queen Mary. We went for Saturday lunch, and it wasn't too busy so we got to sit practically anywhere we wanted. Good thing there weren't many customers outside, because the family of 3 right next to us were as loud as a family of 10!! We ordered prawn shrimp cocktail that was so delicious! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and mounted on a large blue glass margarita glass. BUT, Seafood linguini was too greasy. They DID put a lot of seafood in their pasta dish, accompanied with a garlicy cheese toast which was also rather too buttery for my taste. I ordered a grilled caprese panini. Also, very buttery, but they sure did put a lot of buffalo mozzarella BALLS cut in half, in my sandwich. And it wasn't even melted all the way! Hmmm... I could've made this at home for half the price... hello?!?!! Would it have killed them to put a little more effort and care into this panini? So it's been over 6 months since I was last here and I must say I was a tad let down. As I've stated in a previous review I have been coming for years now. I decided to try out the bar/brunch upstairs at the queens view. First of all it was great to see Cristal again and she even recognized my family and I. When we got to the upstairs bar immediately noticed a dog sitting on a woman's lap! It got worse when we got our drinks and realized that the dog was sitting next at the table. We got our drinks paid and left. The thought of eating so close to a dog bothered me a bit. Do you enjoy great seafood? A great view? Perhaps a friendly host stand and server? Then you hhhavee to come here! I usually hate tourist trap restaurants but this place is awesome! I came in tonight with my mother and she is hard to please. I had no reservations but the polite ladies at the front looked for a table and were able to get me one out on the patio! The hostess with the short wavy hair and pearl necklace(i did not catch her name) complimented my mother on her necklace and even chatted with us for a minute and recommended the fish and chips. Our server (Jon) was positively delightful! We were short on time and he managed to get us in and out in about an hour! The fish and chips are amazing and I am incredibly picky about this particular dish. My mother had the seafood salad and said it was filling, and delicious! When we left the lovely girls at the front opened the door for us and reminded me to get my parking validated! (Make sure to get the stamp, it will save you at least 10 bucks.) I love this restaurant because it has been here for a very long time. Many memories before the renovation took place and the staff is always accommodating. This is open for lunch and dinner. My favorite dishes here are the cheesy garlic bread, Prix-fixe lunch and Ahi tuna melt. There's sushi too and I've never had a bad meal here. *** be careful of the parking because recently the restaurant only validates for one hour. We walked around here after our meal and ended up paying $8.00 only after a few hours????? Atrocious!!!! Two years ago the parking USED to be affordable, not it's just price gouging at Shoreline Village. Sad. I don't need free parking but it used to be only $2 after a few hours. Yelpers, you have been forewarned about this. Next time we are going to park OUTSIDE Shoreline Village and park across the way and pay for parking at the yellow box. PS. I have only been living in the city for a few years, and I just discovered this place with a friend. I came in on 4/28/2015 with my wife and no reservations. There was a little bit of a wait but the hostess (she had blue hair) was nice and showed us over to the bar and lounge while we waited for a table. She quoted us 10 minutes and less than 5 minutes after she sent us a text saying our table was ready. We got a great table by the window and got to enjoy the beautiful view. My wife ordered the calamari and I love you roll (both were amazing), While I ordered the veggie roll, and the wedge salad (both which our hostess recommended as items that could be altered to be vegan) Our server Christy was fantastic and she had a huge smile on her face even when it looked like she was super busy. On our way out the blue haired hostess said goodbye with a smile and even pointed me into the direction of a coffee shop! I will keep this short and sweet. I've lived most of my life in Hawaii so my fish standards are high. My parents own a restaurant of their own, so my costumer service standard are very high. This place met every standard. Upon my arrival a very friendly and professional hostess (Crystal) greeted and sat me at a lovely patio table. Feeling dehydrated I asked we if my server could bring me a water ASAP, and in less than 5 seconds she (crystal)personally came back with a glass of ice water! Already my experience was amazing. When my server (Carly)arrived she too was friendly and was quick to offer me suggestions as I was a first time diner. My seafood Cobb salad was by only surprisingly filling but the presentation was beautiful and the price was reasonable. Well. Considering this is my first review I think I will try to make this short . I have been looking forward to trying this place for many years and I even decided to finally get a yelp account so that I could give it what I thought would be a great review. Unfortunately I will never know what this place is like because the moment I opened the door to come in, i see two people yelling at a young lady at the front. I don't know what they were yelling about I don't know why they were yelling at her but it was the most aggressive thing I've ever seen walking into a restaurant. Im not sure if they were coworkers or guests either Seriously? Right off the bat you have some intense stuff going on at the front. I do not understand why people say the Asian hostess is rude. I came in the other day and her and another hostess with a nifty octopus ring were talking and laughing. I love seeing people have a great time at work. They immediately greeted me and the curvier girl with the octo ring showed me into the beautiful lounge. My daughter and I had some delicious clam chowder and our server Jenn was positively delightful! Our calamari was cooked to perfection and even sitting in the lounge we got a great view of he sunset. We also got the fish n chips which were just a little greasy but very flavorful! When we left the Asian hostess opened the door for me when she saw I was pushing a stroller,while the other hostess offered to validate my parking. Background story: Came here for my birthday with my partner. Place was nice and quiet with a really good view. The view we got was of the Queen Mary (Cute?)....Anyways, if you are eating here make sure you order the grilled, mesquite fishes....and oysters. Really, everything else is "meh." The cocktails drinks are way too fruity, not enough alcohol, and the rock oysters, please do not get them. You don't want to know why, but they are super cheesy and yea, made some trips to the restroom after eating that...TMI? Anyways, like I said beautiful view, okay food but high prices. It was like $200 for two people. Customer service was great. No free dessert for birthday girls either :P Also, the restroom is upstairs so I just realized not a good place for like older adults who have trouble with their balance. read more

If your looking for a romatic setting right off the beach this is the place. My husband took me here for my birthday; I love the scenery. As for the food it was ok but the server wasn't good enough. Had to physically get out of our seats twice to look for the waiter to fill our drinks and bring extra napkins. Probably wouldn't go back since there are better seafood places out there at half the price. If you have visitors to Long Beach, you must take them here! Day or night, the best views of the Queen Mary, Port of LB and marina. You can see all kinds of boats zipping around the bay. The night lights are beautiful and romantic. Great for dates! The fact that you are not able to enjoy the happy hour menu on the patio unless you can manage to sit atop a bar stool height chair is kind of crazy in California 2026. We paid for full price drinks and full price menu items during their happy hour, all because my elderly mother was not accommodated with an alternative seating option. I would like to see Gladstones do better and consider differently abled individuals in the future. You don't make a handicapped person feel "normal" when you exclude them from a menu that's only available to able-bodied persons. To be honest, the only reason we stayed at Gladstones was because the walk to Yard House was too far for a woman with literally a brand new hip.

What made the experience even worse was that she tried to justify the poor quality by saying we came in late and that the food isn't the same at that time. That's simply not an acceptable excuse. If a restaurant is open and serving customers, the quality of the food should be consistent no matter what time you walk in. After going back and forth, she eventually increased the discount to 50%, but still refused to remove the meal from the bill, even though we barely touched it because it was inedible. We weren't looking for a free meal--we just expected food that matched the quality a restaurant should serve and customer service that takes legitimate concerns seriously. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those expectations, and I won't be returning.
