I order the "Hey Joe Sandwich" with a French bread, and let me tell you, that sandwich brought tears to my eyes. Yes, it's so DAMN Delicious! The explosion of flavors you get on that first bite is quite extraordinary. This hot sandwich contains fairly thin slices of roast beef, tasty pastrami, a scrumptious hot link, melted cheese, fresh diced jalapeño peppers, some red onions and drizzled with mayo. If this is your first time at Perry's Joint, the "Hey Joe" is definitely first sandwich you should get. You will get your money's worth for sure. I also order the "New York Hot Dog" and that hot dog was so tasty and delicious that it made you feel like you were actually in New York. Sorry, I have to give a 1 star. I ordered the Max roast beef. Asked for the French Roll, they said yes, we can do that, and I paid $2 to add avocado, no problem. Get my sandwich and it is on white bread, they claim I can't get french roll cause that is only for the tri tip sandwiches, ok, why didn't you say that in the beginning, or when building my sandwich, call me over and explain before you start. Ok. Drove home to eat it after 20min drive, AND NO AVOCADO! I want my money back. Of course I'm not driving all the way back for that now, I'm hungry. I'd rate this place a 4.8/5 stars. The sandwiches are super solid and at only $12.50, it's a fantastic steal. I love Jersey Mikes but this is on a much better level at cheaper the cost. I bought the Egg from Ipanema sandwich and it's totally worth $12.50. The bread is fresh and is very on point with its texture and taste. I got the sourdough bread, and it has that great texture of not being too soft with the right amount of chew that really brings out the best in the sandwich. All the vegetables on the sandwich were of the highest freshness with their crisp and vibrant texture/ taste. People forget that fresh green lettuce actually has a nice texture and light refreshing taste since we're so used to frozen, weeks old iceberg lettuce in takeout. The egg mixture was really good too with a robust richness and tang; however, it was pretty messy and did fall apart so I would have to deduct some from the score. A sandwich in general shouldn't require multiple napkins to wipe the excess sauce and egg mixture that was falling apart all over my finge. That was definitely the worst part about the sandwich. But still, my fatass found it to be finger licking good. The staff were really nice and cordial as well. Would highly recommend. read more

This place makes amazing sandwiches! I had seen Perry's come up a bunch of times in friends' Yelp feeds, so I bookmarked it. When I found out we were going to an event at the Rose Bowl, this was a perfect place to get sandwiches for the event later. We arrived about 4:30, about 30 min before closing. We placed our order to go, and waited about 10 min or so to get our sandwiches. There were quite a few people doing the same, and a few people picking up phone orders. Ordering ahead of time would be the way to go, especially if you were in a hurry. The sandwiches are huge! Half of my sandwich was bigger than a normal small square sandwich, so I had half left for the next day. I had a big band, with turkey, roast beef, and pastrami on rye, hold the tomato and peppers. So delicious! My friend enjoyed her big bird turkey sandwich, which was huge too. Definitely stop by here for sandwiches, especially if you're heading somewhere fun. People at the event were jealous that we brought sandwiches from Perry's, because they weren't smart enough to think of it! read more
