First time at Perry's and it was really good. I haven't had a steak au poivre as good as that since back in the day on Long Island. It was perfect. Maybe this place will be better when it's a little older and has some kinks worked out. But in the meantime, anyone dining here will still have to pay their exorbitant prices for dining mediocrity and failure at its finest. It's like we're paying them to get their act together. First, our party was seated well over 20 minutes, probably much longer, before our drink order was even taken. Then later, our food took so long that our server brought out extra glasses of wine because they wanted to make sure there was still enough to enjoy with the actual meal. Our server was great, courteous and knowledgable about the dishes and got everything correct throughout the night. They even did us a solid and hounded the powers that be to turn down the music that was so loud that hearing any conversation down the table was impossible. So I hate to blame any delay on the server. The place was packed and I assume understaffed, thus explaining wait times. All told, we were there almost 3 hours, pacing that I don't mind when it's by choice. But really, all that aside, the food is just not worth it. The fried shrimp and fries was $37. Yup, you read that right. My husband ordered it, and I'd say it was about 8 or so butterflied shrimp that were super fried and paired with French fries that were way way way over-seasoned. He gave me several, and I just left most of them on my plate. He left the majority on his plate as well. And let's just say we are the type who normally enjoy our fries immensely. I got the red snapper from the "Off the Menu" menu, whatever the hell that means. It was $48 and tasty, paired with whipped potatoes that were quite stiff by the time they reached the table, one can only assume from languishing while plated and waiting for the other dishes to come up. I was really excited to try Perry's and joined another couple for dinner, but unfortunately the experience ended up being a bit disappointing overall. Starting with the positives, the appetizers were excellent. We ordered the pork chop minibites, Texas sausage, and barbecue shrimp, and everything was flavorful and enjoyable. For our entrees, my friend and I ordered the New York Strip Flight featuring USDA-Aged Prime, Perry's Reserve Texas Akaushi Wagyu, and True Japanese A-5 Wagyu ($99 each). Our husbands ordered the 20 oz cowboy ribeye. We also shared the loaded mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and crème brûlée corn. When our steaks arrived, there was confusion over which order was medium rare versus medium rare plus, so my friend and I ended up switching plates ourselves. Unfortunately, all three cuts in both steak flights were extremely over-seasoned and so salty that they were difficult to eat. We tried our husbands' steaks and theirs were perfectly fine, so it seemed isolated to our meals. To their credit, the restaurant replaced the steaks and accommodated our request for lighter seasoning. The replacement steaks were much better. However, this is where the evening became frustrating. We waited about 20 minutes for the replacement meals while everyone else continued eating. The staff brought us a small plate so we could continue eating our sides, but by the time the new steaks arrived our sides were cold and our husbands had already finished their dinners. Part of enjoying a nice dinner is eating together, and instead we ended up eating separately and feeling full before our entrees even arrived. What surprised me most was that after the delay and issue with the original meals, there wasn't any gesture to acknowledge the inconvenience--no complimentary dessert, drink, or other concession. Unfortunately, dessert was also disappointing. We ordered the bananas foster prepared tableside, but the bananas were still cold and the brief tableside flame didn't seem to warm or caramelize them enough. The crème brûlée also appeared not to have set properly and arrived warm and runny. Overall, the appetizers were excellent and the replacement steaks were good, but for the price point and expectations, the experience fell short. Perry's is a must if you want amazing ambiance..white linen tablecloths and napkins...beautifully designed inside....now to the food....NOTHING compares to Perry's porkchops! They have a Friday lunch special for $22.00. You will definitely be amazed at the quality and flavor and quantity! The waitstaff was over the top attentive without being intrusive. Our server was Dominic....I highly recommend asking to be sat in his section...he was as perfect as you could ask for...friendly..smiling..offered great recommendations....and appeared to truly enjoy his work...(which is hard to find these days) I was celebrating my birthday and was offered a special dessert that was delicious and enough for four of us to share bananas Foster flambe! Had to check out the new steakhouse in Gilbert. The lobster bisque was great! We had the cowboy ribeye and 8 oz filet, they were prepared to a true medium. We added scallops which were ok, but wouldn't go for them again. The rocky road bread pudding was the best thing of the night. It was incredible!! Our server Phil was extremely knowledgeable on the menu and was able to answer all of our questions! If you arrive earlier than your reservation time, you would be lucky to sit with Megan in the bar area. She has the sweetest personality and was extremely personable. My son and I dined at Perry's in Gilbert on Sunday, July 5. After our true fine dining experience on June 19, we were looking forward to another fine dining experience. On June 19, the food was perfect, and the service was perfectly timed and attentive. The opposite happened. We made 6pm reservations. We were seated quickly. After that the issues began. It took 15 minutes before the server arrived to take our order. We had to request to see the 44 year special menu. The starters arrived 45 minutes after we were seated. The drinks had not yet arrived so we had to request them. The broiled stuffed mushroom was uncooked and stuffing had no seafood taste (nothing like the picture). At the hour mark, the salad arrived followed too quickly by the main course. I asked the server about the quality of service, he said the kitchen was backed up and in general the service was variable. Observing the other tables, we were not alone in seeing subpar service. On the positive side the Salmon Crostini and Steak were excellent. With so many excellent restaurants in Phoenix, we will have to think hard about returning to Perry's. read more

Nearly every employee who stopped by our table wished us a happy anniversary and made us feel welcome, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, one experience overshadowed what otherwise would have been a perfect evening. Assistant General Manager Kristin was walking around our section throughout our dinner. We watched her introduce herself to every table surrounding us, ask how their meals were, and check in with them multiple times. Our table was the only one she never approached. At first, we assumed she was simply busy and would eventually make her way over. However, after seeing her repeatedly return to the surrounding tables while continuing to avoid ours, it became difficult not to feel that it was intentional. As two gay men celebrating our anniversary, we couldn't help but wonder if we were being treated differently because of our relationship. We truly hope that wasn't the case, but it was an uncomfortable feeling that lingered for the rest of our meal. It's especially disappointing because every other member of the staff treated us with kindness and made us feel celebrated. The food and service deserved 5 stars, but feeling overlooked by a member of management significantly impacted our overall experience. New to town we were quite surprised how busy it was for lunch on a Friday. Thankfully we had reservations. We came for their Friday pork chop deal and a late birthday celebration. Familiar with Perry's at other locations we had high expectations. Service however fell flat. Our waiter just seemed to always be in a rush and would leave the table before we could ask anything and then was nowhere to be found for quite sometime when it was time to order. The menu is nice and I love that they have some great appetizer deals for lunch including steak lettuce wraps. We tried the pork chop.deal for lunch. While it was quite a large serving the flavor fell short. The pork chop was dry and the mashed potatoes not flavorful. The applesauce was the only saving grace. For dessert we got the chocolate cake for my birthday. I loved that it was gluten free. However the description did not quite match what cake out and it was extremely heavy and a bit bittersweet. read more

As far as fine dining steakhouses just skip this one. More hype than fine dining. Make the drive to steak 44 or Durants or even Dominick's. The food for the price just doesn't hit. Same for the service. If I'm dropping this kind of money I'm going to Steak 44. Perry's was ran out of 2 cuts of steak I wanted. Appetizers took forever. I'm late in writing this review. We came here in June for the first time to celebrate my birthday. Reservation was for 7:30pm. We sat on the patio. The sides were just ok. The steaks and pork chop were good (especially the pork chop) but the service was off. The whole evening i felt like we had been forgotten by our waitress. We rarely saw her. My friend had to ask for her drink twice. After what felt like a good 45 minutes, our sides arrived but not our entrees. I asked my husband to time how long it would take for our entrees. Eight minutes later our entrees arrived. We had to ask for steak knives which took a couple more minutes to come to our table. After our dinners, they presented me with a very weak looking "birthday dessert" (i should have taken a picture) that they charged to my bill. Thank goodness we looked at the bill before just blindly paying it. I didn't order a dessert or ask for a free "birthday dessert". Waitress acknowledged that wasn't supposed to have been charged and had it removed. Ok so I have to say the building and ambiance is really nice. I'm happy they brought something upscale to Gilbert. And I will say I will deff come back and try again and give another chance. I understand new restaurants when they first open (and it's only been a week) is all about finding that right balance, I have to pin point a couple things that are making my review a 3 star and not more. First of all our server was super friendly and professional yet he seem a bit lost and had to call him a few times, second and what bothered me the most is that I saw the managers constantly and nobody introduced themself to us, even one manager approached our table to give us something and I asked "are you a manager?" (Because of the way he was dressed) his answer was yes and then walked away, which I think is unprofessional for a new restaurant to not have the managers introduce themself to the public, I'm sorry but I go to many high end restaurants and do work for some and one thing is in Scottsdale every manager will approach the table and introduce themself, that is hospitality, so that right there for me doesn't make me feel exclusive or that I'm in a high end place. And then third the food was pretty mid. We tried the steak fly which was 99$ and then a New York steak that was 99$ so we could try a little of eveything, it wasn't the best meat I ever had. We asked for a medium temperature and had to have that send back because it was rare and our sides were cold. (They did take care of the sides). We had the chocolate cake (too sweet for us) and the banana foster was delish and they come to the table to do presentation, So yes I will have to come back and see some improvement to update my review read more

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, the service was unmatched! From being greeted by the hostess stand to the server, and even the service of taking our plates. Everything was amazing. Our server, Kyle was amazing and really helped make our celebration special. Everything from the appetizers, salad, steak and dessert tasted incredible. They really made us feel celebrated. We had been waitlisted at another restaurant down the street and on whim called Perry's. Best decision ever! There 6 of us looking for happy hour spot and it turned out to be an awesome place. We were seated outside however it didn't seem like we were outside. Very cool with misters and it felt like we had a private room. Great cocktails I had the raspberry with gin and I loved it. We ordered shareable appetizers and the fillet sliders and smoked salmon were my favorites. Also had the pork chop bites! Food and service was absolutely amazing! We went at night, so the restaurant had a dim sort of romantic feel to it. The ambiance was 10/10 to say the least, definitely a great place to celebrate any occasion or just grab an amazing dinner! We started off with the stuffed mushroom appetizers and it was so good! The sauce really brought it up a notch as well. Of course we had to have some salted caramel espresso martini's, and when I say it's the best I've ever had it was THE BEST! For dinner we had 2 sides, they're all family style portions, definitely enough for 2 people per side! And the New York strip flight was out of this world! Extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection. I'd have to say the star of the show was the service we had received, Phil took amazing care of us from beginning to end, from first sip, to last bite, he made sure we had everything we could possibly need. The amount of attention to detail and knowledge on the menu and the drinks from Phil was honestly outstanding, as someone who prides themselves on trying new restaurants I would have to say that this is the best service I had ever received, would be coming back and asking for him specifically. Had dinner tonight for the first time. Atmosphere, staff and cocktails were top notch. We had our toddler with us and the staff was great with him. We ordered the fries asparagus which would have been great but was way too salty. I planned to get the Ribeye but just wanted to confirm it came with "Ribeye Cap" and shockingly not only did the waiter not know what I was talking about (not surprising) but the kitchen staff had no idea which shocks me for a Steakhouse. Lobster bisque was good. Wife got a Seafood pasta that she really liked. I did end up getting the Ribeye and it too was very salty (too much seasoning). We also ordered a Filet to go (for my parents) and the waiter forgot to add it. At that point it was fine since we weren't overly impressed with the Ribeye. I was blessed to live in Clear Lake, when Perry's Steakhouse started out in a little strip mall. It was absolutely amazing back then. I went there every chance I could. It was easily my favorite restaurant. Having moved years ago, I was beyond thrilled to find out a location was being opened in Gilbert. I'm not surprised Perry's has grown the way it has. I went the first opportunity I had to visit the new location. My favorite restaurant now nearby? Well here's what has changed since all those years ago... NOTHING!!! IT'S STILL FREAKING AMAZING. I'll start by saying that the ambiance was beautiful and the food was delicious. Our waiter was just okay. He took our bread knives and bread plates in the middle of our appetizers after we had asked for more bread. It seemed completely unnecessary to have him reaching across the table constantly. Here's where it goes downhill for me, I was in the ladies room when dessert arrived, someone at our table said I MAY need a box for my dessert. I came back to the table with the waiter carrying away my dessert without my consent and when he brought it back in the container he walked around the table and plopped it in the bag with the other leftovers that was sitting on the floor. The container the dessert was in landed sideways and stuck to the lid. By the time we left the restaurant the whip cream was liquified because it was plopped on top of hot food. I was highly annoyed at this point and just wanted to leave. I will give the restaurant another chance,but I will definitely want a different server. This was on 7-15-26 I came back to edit my review to a 2 star. I finally opened my leftover pork chop to eat and part of the meat was gone. It was never put inside the takeout box. Went to Perrys for Father's Day. Its beautiful and definitely high end. We were greeted immediately by friendly hostesses and were seated after about a 10 min. Not a problem since it was FD and busy. One thing I notice was that so many people in screen print t shirts, shorts and sandals/flip flops, yoga clothes, like they were at Chilis. It was disappointing since Perry's is definitely upscale and high price tag. It would be nice if they required a collared shirt and no flip-flops and no workout clothing/ tank. It really detracts from a high-end establishment. I know this is Gilbert and not Scottsdale but come on people! From the sight of how busy it was it's obvious that Gilbert wants nicer restaurants so for the love of all things holy people, pull it together! I know they have been open for two weeks and still need to work out some the kinks. We sat down and waited about 7-10 minutes before our server came.When she finally arrived, she was friendly and knowledgeable but she didnt offer an apology for the long wait. We looked over the menu before she came so we placed our order. My husband ordered an old-fashioned and a bowl of their potato leek soup. My son ordered a Caesar salad and I ordered their green salad with beets and orange oranges and goat cheese and a Thyme lemon drop. They brought some bread and butter. We didn't care for the bread and the butter was not salted. I notice that other yelpers noted this as well.My son loved his Caesar salad. My salad was OK, it had endive and radicchio in it, and I noticed that they put lots of the radicchio ends in the salad which you shouldn't do. radicchio ends are extremely bitter.My lemon drop was A-mazing! My husband soup was cold and he wasn't sure if it was supposed to be that way because many times potato soups are cold. He asked the server and she wasn't sure. So a manager came over and said the soup shouldn't be cold so she took it and brought him a new one. It was much better. After we were done with our starters, somebody came over to clear our salad plates. Without asking if we were done with our bread, she just took our plates and bread basket. I was surprised since my plate still had half a piece of bread on it and still had two slices of bread in the basket. So we needed to ask for more bread. She also took our knives so when they brought more bread, we didn't have anything to spread the butter. Our dinner came and everything looked delicious! My son ordered the fillet Perry, an 8 oz fillet wrapped in bacon and covered with fresh crab.Delicious. I had a 5 oz fillet and it was delicious. My husband ordered the famous pork chop dinner, which was also delicious! It was HUGE, tender, juicy and flavorful. Perfect! I will say, though, that they cut up your pork chop for you in about 6 pieces while giving you a description of the parts. This was odd and annoying because they they just started cutting it up. It was definitely a show so it was awkward for my husband to say I can cut it myself. But next time he will definitely tell them before. Also, my husband's dinner was the Sunday dinner that came with a soup/salad and a side. He ordered mashed potatoes and noticed that when they were serving other people, the potatoes were piped on the plate like a beautiful rose. When his came, it was just the pork chop on the plate and the mashed potatoes came in a small bowl separate from his meal. Totally minor but still a little disappointing to not have that pretty plate. We also got the au gratin potatoes, which were delicious, and their mac & cheese. None of us cared for that mac and cheese. It was made with penne,not elbow noodles. It was also more of a cheesy pasta than a mac & cheese. It was not thick and creamy, but a thin sauce consistency. We would not order that one again. We were done with our dinner, but our server had not come to check on us between the time our food was served and the time we were done. She came over and cleared our table and without asking, took my lemon drop martini. I was shocked. It didn't have much left in it but definitely two or three more sips. I would have enjoyed the rest of it, but she just swooped it up and took off. She came back and asked if we would like to see the dessert menu, but we were all so full that we declined. After we got home, I was looking at pictures of their desserts and was disappointed that I didn't get something to take home. Everything looked delicious. We will definitely give Perry's another chance, but we will wait awhile so they iron out the kinks. I hope they also take note of their reviews that touch on the same things that I did. We had reservations on a Saturday night at 7:30, we were sat on time but did not receive water or an initial greeting from our waiter until 20-25 minutes after being seated. Recognizing the restaurant was busy, we put in our order for drinks, appetizers and dinner at the same time. We did not receive our drinks until 45 minutes after being seated and our appetizers arrived prior to our drinks. Dinner also took awhile to arrive after that. I ordered a filet and it was of poor quality and very fatty, therefore I couldn't even finish my $60 steak. Our overall time at the restaurant was two hours and that was not by our choice. We were so excited our beloved Perry's from Texas came to Gilbert! We tried it the second day of grand opening week and it was beautifully appointed and service was flawless. Our server Madison had the perfect style of attentiveness and charm, always checking in. Her recommendation of the 'peach plane' cocktail was spot on. We enjoyed this as our second Anniversary dinner this week and had the trio chateaubriand, New york strip and sides. Loaded whipped mashed potatoes are amazing. Steaks at medium are perfect for us and these were tender and savory, probably only rivaled by Joey in Dallas/Seattle. The coffee crust in the sirloin was my favorite. The manager brought by rose petals to sprinkle for our anniversary, we felt well taken care of. The Side dishes are large and we brought home half all our food for the next day! read more

Wow, I STILL can't believe what we experienced at this place! We have been to the Perry's in Denver, so we were very excited to eat here and even celebrated my birthday here last night. Was greeted warmly upon arriving and our server Veronica was very good. That was about all that was positive about this restaurant! My husband and I ordered filet mignons (they ARE a steakhouse after all)--he ordered his medium and mine what they termed as medium well plus. I don't like a lot of pink. We ordered au gratin potatoes to share. They brought out the food and asked us to cut into the steaks. Mine was red inside (nope!) and my husband's was completely RAW in the middle. We asked them to cook them longer and decided to eat the potatoes which were crunchy and undercooked. The steaks were brought out again and were cooked EXACTLY THE SAME!! Way undercooked! What the heck?? Veronica came over and was very apologetic and insisted that she told the kitchen what we wanted. She agreed that these steaks were NOT up to par. Starving by this point, we were getting upset as this was supposed to be a special occasion and were told that the general manager would come speak to us--never saw them. We thought third time's a charm? Nope!! Cut into the steaks again (seemingly microwaved this time) and still red/raw. We have NEVER experienced this before and walked out. I don't understand how this place was so crowded when clearly this "steakhouse" can't cook a damn steak yet charges nearly $60 for a 6oz filet!! Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience at this new steakhouse. We were celebrating my daughter's milestone birthday in which the server immediately acknowledged. We ordered our drinks and the lobster tempura. The lobster tempura arrived first and was delicious. The drinks arrived after we reminded the server and we placed our dinner order. We then proceeded to wait for almost an hour for our entrees. I ordered a New York strip, medium, and it was so rare and chewy ,I couldn't eat it. Given the excessive time it took for the steak to be made, I did not send it back. On a positive note to the dinner, the corn brûlée was exceptional. We did not order dessert ,but it would have been nice if the server who was aware of birthday to have at least brought a scoop of ice cream for the milestone birthday. Let's just say Gilbert does not have any restaurants like this in the San Tan Mall area or anywhere south! The restaurant was beautiful and full of people. We went into the bar and had a couple drinks there which were great! I had the Old Fashion that was smoked right in front of you. Great service at the bar. Seated for our table w 9 so it wasn't a small party. Our server was great and on it all Night. I ordered the Pasta with Scallops and my wife ordered the Salmon. We also ordered the Caesar salad. The salad was a bit different w a little spice to it and a whole Anchovie on top. The pasta came out with the seared Scallops. The Scallops were not big but definitely enough with the pasta. I forgot to say they bring out a large amount of bread and butter before dinner. My wife ordered the Salmon and when it came out she said it was not hot but warm enough to eat. I said send it back but she doesn't like to be that person. So least to say she wouldn't order that again. My only complaint was how long it took to get a drink from the bar. I know they are a new place and hope they get that figured out. I would definitely revisit the bar for happy hour! read more

The food was subpar. we got the cheese burger and you can get a way better burger at Buck and Ryder. Next, was the prime rib sandwich that was served in a hot dog bun with cheese And a side of lettuce, red onion and pickles. Not appropriate side for a prime rib sandwich. Where was the Au Jus and maybe some grilled onions. Lastly, the service was very slow. Food tool forever which I can overlook as the place is new and trying to figure out kinks. To start, everyone I came in contact with (host, staff, my server, and a manager) were absolutely lovely. They were kind and friendly. I got there just after 6 PM. Happy hour is supposed to be until 6:30. I ordered an appetizer and a glass of wine. My wine took over 20 minutes to get to my table. My appetizer took over 30 minutes. I had to ask my server to check on it. Meanwhile, the table next to me received multiple deliveries of food, and they were sat after me. I never had a manager check in with me one time. I understand it was a Friday night and they were busy. It was my first time there, and I don't plan on coming back. I was a party of one and it took two hours for me to get out of there. I ordered the scallops from the appetizer menu, and by the time they got to me, they were barely warm. I also didn't get happy hour pricing on my check. I ordered dessert, and I must say the crème brûlée was perfect. I was disappointed with my experience, but definitely want it to be noted that the staff was the reason for three stars otherwise I would've given less. I was here from out of town, and went to treat myself to a nice dinner. I sought a manager for other reasons on my way out. No one seemed to really care that I waited as long as I did for everything.
