I found out that my car's battery was completely dead this morning. I was worried because the battery was only 2 years old and there was no indication that the battery was dieing. Lisa, one of the mechanics, was extremely helpful and discovered that my spark plugs needed to be changed. I had my car checked this past couple of months for an oil change and no one saw that my car needed new spark plugs. I am really greatfull that she was able to solve the bigger issue with my car, and I can now drive with a peace of mind. read more

After using the Nissan dealer for my car's regular maintenance, I went with Firestone Auto for oil changes, breaks and things like that. Lately, they've started finding URGENT needed repairs which seem very expensive but are pushed on you with their deferred interest rate credit card. At Placentia Super Service, it was refreshing to receive a 60 point inspection, with my oil change, that went in accordance to the wear and tear of my vehicle. The needed repairs were presented in order of priority, along with their urgency or in today's case; lack of, and without pressure. I also like the flexibility of being able to make my appointments on-line. I highly recommend this place, specially if you are starting to feel like your regular mechanic/auto place is taking advantage of your lack of knowledge about car repairs. GM read more

Terrible place, takes them weeks just to receive a part. They also use costumers cars for personal use. I left my car there for two weeks with a full tank of gas and I got it back with half a tank and 40 miles added to the odometer. They never call with updates even though they said they would and they don't even call to tell you your car is ready. This place may look legit but they are far from it. If you ever leave your car here, take pics of your odometer and gas gauge. read more

Great place to take your car for repairs, especially if you are a person who is not knowledgeable about cars and has no clue if what they are telling you is true or not. For several years I've taken my older Toyota Camry to Buddy and he is always honest and upfront about whether it is worth it to repair or not. He has tried to shop around to find the lowest price parts for me which I really appreciated. During my lifetime driving, I've unfortunately been to more dishonest auto repair places than honest, so for me to find someone I trust and who goes out of their way for me is priceless. read more

So I was way overdue for my oil change and had a couple of hours to kill. I looked in my immediate area for oil change spots and called a few. They all said they were too busy. Ok great. So then I find Placentia Super Service and spoke to Jasper who was super friendly by the way. He said it would be about an hour wait. No problem. Drove down the street and found that the parking lot was full. No worries. Jasper came out to show me additional parking and while we walked back to the front he showed me the work area with some of the technicians. Everyone here is super friendly. They've got a huge tv, water, drinks, coffee and snacks. Honestly I'm kind of mad that I didn't find this place sooner since it's so close to my house. They're honest, friendly, and super amazing. The service advisor Bob was super in explaining the issues, he does not make you feel a rush when you ask questions. I have endless complaints about these "mechanics". When Buddy was running the shop you could trust 100% that good work was getting done at a fair price. After spending close to $3,000+ dollars my vehicle was still running like crap. These people DO NOT listen to sh*t you have to say. We told them that the spark plugs might be bad. They checked 1 and because that ONE looked okay they didn't bother checking the rest. This was after they had it for 2 days on the first run and then 3 damn days on the 2nd one. They're real good about giving your car a "once over" but after all the time and money I have wasted here... that's just an excuse to find more sh*t to bill you for while not addressing the actual problem at hand. Then I was told they need the check engine light to come on so they could figure out what the issue is. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I've never had a mechanic say something like that to me. That's a joke. They BS about the time it takes to get things done. "Oh, it'll be done by 5." Only to call at 5 and find out they're going to need another day. They've done that SEVERAL times. To say that I am angry and disappointed is an understatement. After the insane amount of money I spent at this place, and on rental cars because they can't get anything done on time... it's clear that I was completely taken advantage of. They never offered once to help pay for the rental car even though it was their fault I had to even rent one. The only reason I kept coming back here was so that they could fix the things that they kept screwing up. And every time I had to go back there was always something else that they found that was somehow magically not related to the original problem. They do not know what they're doing. Some of these reviews must be for simple repairs because they are not good at anything major. A lot of talking and nothing to back it up. Thanks for costing me a bunch of money only to have to go somewhere else to get your work fixed. You might want to give the negative reviews a look. As cheesy as it might sound, they really do provide Super Service! We've come here twice now for different car issues and have had excellent experiences each time. All the guys here are super nice and accommodating. I was able to get an appointment for an oil change for the day I wanted and they even provided a shuttle service so they picked me up and work so I could go get my car. I had called in a while ago and spoke with Bob about getting an oil change. He educated me on the fact that my car did not need full synthetic oil as I was previously conned into at the 2 previous places I had taken my car. And that my basic oil change would be about $29. Flash forward to yesterday when I decided to go in... I was greeted politely and promptly by Bob who took down my info. I explained that I would for sure like an oil change and possibly a smog check. I was informed smog and cert would be $50 and opted for that as well. The waiting room was cold as this was early in the morning. But Bob brought out a heater into the lobby area. There is an abundance of complimentary snacks and beverages, as well as a phone charging station and a large TV that was playing episodes of Pawn Stars. I used the restroom while I was waiting and got to walk through the garage. I was impressed with how spic and span everything was. A cool feature is that this shop is pretty high tech in the sense that my entire inspection and checklist was sent to me through a link via text. Bob also explained to me in detail what maintenance I would be needing in the future. He wasn't pushy when I declined to have more than the services I came in for. Ryan ended up ringing me up and was also very pleasant. I will definitely be returning to have more maintenance done on my vehicle. read more

I recently took my 2005 GMC Yukon, I came in stressed and annoyed, left happy and satisfied with the service and the cost after taking it into PSS! They did eventhing they could to get the ticking noise fixed on my truck and to save me some money, but push came to shove and we had to do a deeper repair. Bob and Ryan were excellent with their service and their updates when I would reach out. The tech they use as well here is awesome from the diagnostic link to show you what they recommend, to the text to reach the shop with updates. They got the job done and fixed little things here and there after the repair but they were prompt in getting them taken care of fast! The warranty for their repairs as well is awesome! They really do care about their clients and want to keep the repeat clients! I am coming back for all of my vehicles repairs as well as my wife's vehicle. I highly recommend Placentia Super Service to anyone with Auto repair issues! Had a good experience here. I really like that they texted me the workup of my car, with pictures, and that I can print it as well. Texts when the car was ready and a shuttle service for the area? Great customer service. I did a tiny bit of research before coming--I knew I was in for big things. Prices are fair--definitely cheaper than quoted at dealership. AAA discount! Found Placentia Super Service through the Placentia Buzz on Facebook. I was met by Don when I walked in the door. He listened to all my concerns about my car. The mechanic took over. I waited for the diagnoses. They had to order a part so they gave me a ride home and called later in the day. Price for the repair was fair. Service was quick. The waiting room is great. They have free wi-fi, soda, water, popcorn, coffee and snacks. They were very respectful my knowledge about cars and of my time. I will be back when in need of service. read more

Great services and prices . Very fair and honest . Owner personally helped me and had everything fixed on time as promised.

My son who is a college student needed a starter replaced on his Honda civic. His mechanic is in Northern Cal so he looked on Yelp and found this shop. They replaced the starter with a remanufactured starter for $305 for the part alone. He should have gotten a brand new OEM Honda starter for that price. The total was $641 installed! It doesn't end here. He was driving home and stopped for gas. Tried to start the car...nothing. Ended calling a tow truck. We almost had it towed back to LA and that would have been a small fortune. After several attempts it finally started after being stalled for over 2 hours. He limbed it home to my mechanic. They put it on the rack to see what the problem was or if they could see anything obviously wrong.They found the brand new remanufactured starter was loose and not tightened to the frame which needs to be grounded or it will not start. This shop not only overcharged but did not mount the part properly. My mechanic would have done the same job for $380 installed with the exact same starter. Parents and students beware. read more
