We had a 7:45 reso and got seated for our 4 top at 8:30 after the hostess explained they were running behind. Upon being sat at the table- we waited 30 min with menus in hand with no acknowledgment from a server. I had to physically wave down an employee (who appeared to be a manager) He promptly apologizes, took care of our bar tab and sent over some apps. But heres where things really went south. We still had no server? Different waitstaff kept dropping off food, refusing to clear plates-We were stacking empty plates at the corners of the table. Each time we asked for something we got the look like we were assholes. Again, had to flag someone down to order entrees. Our entrees took so long that we began to panic that we were going to miss our (paid) reso at a cabaret lounge. Again no urgency. over all: food 7/10, butter service 10/10 service : 0/10 ambiance: loud, chaotic, disorganized I was surprised because we frequent Quality Meats and it feels like such an elevated experience. I love this restaurant. We had ample time to burn on a weekday before a flight and spent it here. The space is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. We started with the artichokes, filet carpaccio, and the bread service. I was lost on the bread service for $38. Haha, it's a whole meal unto itself. The bread with the butter and the French ham, just like the jambon sandwich in France. I was so happy. All the other accouterments were also delicious. The artichokes and carpaccio were outstanding as well. My husband and I got two of the steak frites. Both super tasty. They have a ridiculous wine selection, so we had two bottles. Like I said, we had time to spare. I think we also had the charred brussels... did I mention we had two bottles of wine? Heh. We got whichever dessert comes with the whole container removal reveal; I think it was the salted caramel gateau. I was too busy with my green apple tarte tatin sundae. The service was amazing - we were greeted with an anniversary card since I put that in the reservation notes. We ordered the butter service butter board and tuna crudo for appetizers. Personally - I would skip the butter. While it was delicious, unless you have 4+ people, it's a lot of food. We shared the steak frites entree and the corn crème brûlée. I can see why everyone orders the corn... it's like a side dish but also dessert. So good. I don't think this place is a cocktail place per se... the waiter wasn't able to give us a bourbon listing for my husband. I would just stick to wine or classic cocktails here. We were also given dessert and champagne for our anniversary. All of the staff really went out of their way to make it a special evening. The atmosphere is charming, the table service is very good, and it's very convenient to City Center. We don't like to be seated where the cushions meet. That is uncomfortable and not really a seat. We had a reservation, so we expected to have a good table/seat. The first table they showed us was in the noisiest section and had the bad seat. We waited 20 minutes for another table, and the only difference was the noise level. Fortunately, a manager noticed our dissatisfaction and moved us to a table with 2 chairs. Note: they do have bench seating for two without the split in the cushion, but it was not available for us. The drinks and food were inconsistent. The whiskey a L'orange was supposed to be smokey but tasted like a morning glass of oj without any booze. The Bistro Spritz, on the other hand, was excellent. The chilled artichoke appetizer looked great but was practically inedible. It was not cooked enough. The lemon chicken and the salmon were both well prepared and tasty. Despite the price, they come with no sides, so we ordered the green beans. They were also good. The French fries would've been another good choice. For dessert, we had chocolate moose. Started with the French bird cocktail, which was great, then my friend and I tried: + Bibb lettuce and avocado - had like no dressing and it wasn't washed very well, there was literally dirt in the leaves + Crab cake - this was amazing + Strip steak frites - meh, Boucherie does it better + Corn creme brûlée - as perfect as it always is at Quality Meats, Quality Eats, etc (also, life hack: you can get it for $12 at Eats, vs $17 at Meats and Bistro) + Apple tart tatin sundae - also amazing Maybe they're still getting their stuff together, but in the meantime, I'd recommend Grand Boucherie a few blocks away for better food at a similar price point. 3.5 stars. read more

Had no idea Quality Bistro was we part of the Quality chain so now I've been to every one. QB was a delight. The decor is very Parisian reminding me of a lot of fancy Mich star places. Straight to the food - Butter service, is a must get. Table side butter service with toast, a savory butter spread with all the fixings. - Lobster toast was good but wasn't a knock out. More bread. More butter. With lobster and hollandaise. - Oysters fresh - Aged sirloin with truffle butter was good but definitely didn't taste any aging factor to it. - Corn Crème Brûlée was taken off the other Quality side dishes. I wanted to experience their enchanted outdoor space in person - this place offers outdoor space that is perfect for someone who has high anxiety over covid. The staff wore masks regardless that we were outside and I love that. Got the following items: El Diablo Don Julio Tequila, Ginger, Cassis Ice - I appreciate this drink because of the ice part doesn't ruin my cocktail after it's melted. I am a slow drinker when I am dining, and so melting ice tends to ruin them, but not this one. Butter Service - I wanted to know what this was about and the presentation is good and so was the butter, but I wasn't into the leek Hors d'Oeuvre - it's like give me something else. A ate up the ham, but I am not a ham lady, so I only had a bite. I wouldn't necessary order it again, but good that I got to experience it. Steak Tartare - really yummy because it comes with pate and it's so good. Steak Frites - good and temperature arrive correctly Green Garlic Escargot - I wish this had more buttery goodness, but still good, but I had better versions. Crab Cake Louie Sauce, Pickled Peppers - I prefer a traditional crab cake, but I like the fact this was actually lumpy, but the Louie Sauce is overpowering for my taste. Discovered this when looking for desserts and wine after dinner nearby. Definitely want to come back for dinner. It was very popular for a later dinner, the menu looks great and the inside is beautiful. Our party of 5 sat in one of the outdoor booths. 3 of us each chose a different wine, each of us was very happy with our selection. We shared the opera cake and the apple tarte tatin sundae and had trouble finishing it all. Both desserts are a great size to share for multiple people. QB is one of the best places to go for a fancy bite. It's quite pricey but soooo worth it. I absolutely loved my experience there. We went on Sunday and - my bro chose it. The bread platter is amazing with lots of things to taste and nosh on. The butter is really good and the eggplant shmear is even better! Get the Original bread! (They also have a truffle version - which maybe at some point in the future I'd like to go back and try) We ordered a particular kind of wine (see pics) and it was really nice. The flavors kind of roll with your moments. The Moroccan Chicken is "pour deux" and it's way more than that. Family sized servings so you'll have plenty left over to hold you through the next few days. It came with a side - we chose Brussel Sprouts - they were good and a tad spicy. Wish they were slightly crispier on the exterior of each bud. The Chateaux Briand was also really nicely done. It has pink in the middle so if you're squeamish about red meat try something else. The menu is limited but everything we has was really good. They do not cross contaminate when cooking and prepping foods but they do ask you in advance of your orders if you have any allergies or food concerns which is super nice. (Most places expect you to say so first.) I believe our server's name was Yuri - very good service and attention. The water service was also impeccable considering we were inside booth #13 on the street side and there was a snow storm happening around us outside. The interior of the booth has heating beneath the seats (takes some time to kick in) and underneath the table. The view was also cool because you could see into the next booths and beyond and the mirror effect of the hanging lamps was lovely too. I didn't go inside but some of my fam did and they loved the interior before the bathrooms. There are bird paintings whose art extends out onto the walls beyond. Definitely check it out if you're interested in some unique art! The booths comfortably seat parties of 6 or fewer. Anything more and I'd recommend that you book your party inside of the restaurant. Went back to Quality Bistro for dinner and this time eating in their outdoor seating and had another great dinner. To start, the French Onjon Soup was again absolutely terrific and the Tuna Tartare was excellent. For our entrees, the Lamb Chops were done perfectly and the Scallops were very flavorful. The Strip Steak Frites was good but stood out the least. We also tried the Corn Crème Brûlée for a side and it was very interesting in a good way. Great atmosphere and beautiful inside decor. For the posture of the restaurant ( and the price) it fell short : Tiny details such as too small a plate ( the actual plate, not the dish) for a split dish. Signature filet should have been outstanding and yet it wasn't juicy ( even though we ordered medium rare and it was pink inside). We've done it better at home on our grill. Having to order a side for the entree seemed greedy and not appropriate for the aspired high profile establishment. What saved the dinner experience (added at least a star for the review) was the outstanding dessert: Ile Flottante which is a real treat to the eyes and the mouth. They also threw in a nice birthday ice cream with caramel sauce. We feel that for $250 you should be getting much more in presentation, service, and taste. read more

Made a reservation a month in advance for 6:15 on a Saturday evening in advance of a show at City Center with a 7:30 curtain. We weren't seated until 40 minutes later (at 6:55). Had to wait in a very crowded and cramped lobby with many other people who were also being seated extremely late. The hostess was quite unsympathetic and blamed it on patrons lingering at tables before going to the City Center show. Had they been honest with the real wait time at our arrival, we would have gone someplace else, but it felt like a bait and switch to keep us there. We ultimately had to choke down dinner to get to the show. Do NOT trust this place if you plan to see a show after dinner. They are greedy overbookers. read more

"Quality" is in the name for a reason! Our law firm had dinner here and I couldn't have been more impressed by the food and service at Quality Bistro. To begin, my Lillets Cup cocktail was phenomenal-it was refreshing and delicious without being too sweet. You absolutely must get the Butter Service-$40 for bread may seem insane, but it is worth every penny. From the fluffy bread itself to the salted butter and my personal favorite, the eggplant spread, I would come back just to eat this again. I also really enjoyed the Burrata appetizer. For my entree as a VEGETARIAN, I had the Truffle Macaroni & Cheese and Brussels Sprouts. They also mentioned that they had an off-menu vegetarian option, and I really appreciated that. However, I stuck to these items and was very impressed. Mac and Cheese can be easily messed up, but QB does a fantastic truffle mac and the crispy cheese on top really makes it outstanding. I also was able to taste the Corn Creme Brûlée and Fries...all delicious! There wasn't a single item I didn't like. As a vegetarian, it was so lovely to have a plethora of options, the charred Brussels sprouts and pommes purée being standouts. The staff is immensely talented and attentive and some of my favorites include Saul, Kiwan, Pramod, Declan, Drew, and Dina. Finally at 8:30pm (one hour after our reservation) were shown to the table to you guess it...wait. Server came by after 15 minutes with menus and then disappeared for anothre 15 minutes. Finally got food around 9:40. Was a business dinner and totally embarassing in front of the client. The food was fine, but service and non chalance was not acceptable. A group of us came to Quality Bistro to celebrate a birthday and we had a great experience. There is plenty of seating with a very open layout inside. There is also outdoor seating, both uncovered and private parklets. The staff is helpful and efficient, but I will say that they did leave us alone for most of our dinner except for taking orders and bringing out our food. We did not mind this at all as we were able to hold plenty of conversations without being interrupted or rushed. The food was absolutely delicious from the appetizers to the steaks to the seafood options. We had a group of 12 people so we tried a good number of items on the menu and everyone loved their meals. Because our party was so large, we made sure to have a reservation on a Saturday night. The restaurant was pretty full, but we were surprised by the number of available reservations on OpenTable. It was not hard to get a reservation at all so I would suggest making one just in case. read more

I noted on the reservation about the birthday and they wrote my Mother a personalized card and it was on the table when we arrived. So disappointing... tried talking to the manager but they are on autopilot.. so here is my review. From the start attitude and service was horrible. I understand that it's thanksgiving but if you're going to serve 1400 people you should be ready for it. Bartenders were busy making drinks for the entire restaurant and not attentive and super rude. We shared the watermelon salad to start - so refreshing for summer. And I got the branzino and fries - ate so many fries before the fish. So good. Got the pistachio cremate brûlée (biscuit was as good as the brûlée) and Apple tart w cinnamon ice cream (my favorite). Many tables had the huge doughnut cake - so many Instagram worthy dishes! Came for mothers day with a party of 6. My boyfriend and I came a lil early so we had some drinks at the bar. The bar was pretty and the drinks were good. All the food was good and its a beautiful restaurant, but the french onion soup wasn't that hot and they were nice enough to give us a new one but they accidently charged us for it, so I'm glad we double checked. Service was basic, nothing great for a restaurant with higher standard's and a $22 french onion soup. The dichotomy between overpriced and underwhelming is the most stark example I can think of in a long time. The bread and butter service was yummy but worth about 15 dollars as opposed to the staggering 38 price tag. I ordered the branzino which was 48 dollars and was a slab of under seasoned fish on a plate, no veggie, no nothing. Not even garnish.
