I ordered the appetizer sampler with extra lettuce and mint. My mom ordered the bbq pork deconstructed rolls. All of the food was delicious, and the service was very prompt and friendly. Coming in through the sleek black door, the bar gives off a very classy aesthetic as the bottles lined up with the small fish tank was a very nice touch. The bamboo hats wind chime and the fish sauce bottles hung on the wall were probably my favorite decorations I've ever seen in a restaurant. Music also felt like it came straight out of my parents' karaoke, so it was a wonderful time even just waiting. Banh Hoi came with ample fish sauce and enough rice paper to feed two people. The meat had a similar consistency to Chinese sausage and was savory and sweet, which tasted amazing with the fresh, crispy lettuce and the pickled vegetables. Woven vermicelli also gave a nice fullness to the rice paper folds. Banh Xeo had more tumeric than I was used to, but it didn't overpower the coconut inside. The crepe was crispy and the mung bean sprouts paired with the shrimp made it taste like the perfect healthy, light appetizer. I ordered the following: Imperial rolls - it comes with 3pcs cut in 1/2 that were crispy and filled with well seasoned pork. Grilled pork sausage+sliced pork+woven vermicelli - it comes with lettuce, herbs and a generous amount of meat. Meat was flavorful and not dry. Grilled rockfish fillet+chicken+woven vermicelli - it also comes with lettuce, herbs and generous amount of meat. Though there was no option to order with just rockfish. But you can order with just chicken. Both of these dishes come with plenty of fish sauce for dipping. Pho w/rib eye, brisket+meat balls w/fresh flat noodles - it comes with bean sprouts, a lime wedge, cilantro and jalapeños. It did not come with Thai basil and sadly there was no brisket. Just 1.5 meatballs and rib eye slices. I guess the amount of rib eye slices might make up the lack of brisket but I was really looking forward to the brisket. The broth itself was salty but the portion itself was large. I was able to make 2 meals from it. Vietnamese food is my favorite cuisine and I'm glad they've opened up in SOMA. I am Vietnamese, born and raised in SoCal, grew up eating tons of home cooked food. so I've had tons of Vietnamese food in my lifetime. Came here to try their Bun Bo Hue. When I had my first sip of the broth I was just thinking, "what is this and doesn't taste like bun Bo hue at all." It's not all that traditional or authentic. The soup was bland and definitely needed more seasoning/fish sauce. The meat was just basic and was missing your essentials like pig trotter, liver, etc. Did not taste the lemongrass flavor at all. Que viet is hands-down, my favorite pho place in all of San Francisco. Not only are the portions very large and will last you both lunch and dinner, but the quality of the meat is fresh and the tripe is delicious! I always love eating my pho with a little bit of hoisin sauce and Sriracha and when added to the broth the broth had so much depth of flavor and was rich and decadent. I cannot recommend Que Viet more highly as it is perfect if you are sick, recovering from a hangover, dealing with a rainy day, or if you are just craving some high quality pho! read more

We were the only customers at 4pm and the staff were very friendly and kind. The waitress explained the items to us when we ordered and also when she served the dishes! The space is clean, modern with wood furniture and accents. Avocado ice cream coffee 3/5 it wasn't amazing but it was pretty good for Vietnamese coffee. The ice cream had shards and lacked flavor so it didn't add much to the drink. I would probably order a regular Vietnamese coffee next time. Ribeye Steak Carpaccio 5/5 if you usually like this dish, I would say it's worth it to get it here or at least try. The sauce tastes sweet and tangy (fish sauce and lemon juice). The toppings were excellent! I feel like we dipped a few of our other food items into the sauce because it was so good. Beef pho 4/5 pretty good and would get again. Some customers came in after and said they're here again the next day because it was so good. Banh Hoi / Woven Vermicelli with Nem Nuong / Pork Sausage 5/5 comes with a variety of veggies and also pineapple sauce and fish sauce on the side (creative take for me as I've never had pineapple sauce with this dish - mainly just sweet).
