This is our first visit and we loved the place! We have been looking for a bbq place here in Long Beach since JR's took a down turn.. Found it! I had the pork ribs and my wife had the brisket.. she said that it was the best brisket ever! The secret bbq sauce was delightful and accents the ribs flavor. Come on in folks, you won't be disappointed!!

Average BBQ here! I had way better around town but this was my first time trying and wanted to see how they stack up against the rest! I got the 2 meat combo for $36 bucks For ribs and brisket they add a $2 dollar upcharge for both? Then a long beach 10.5% tax for $3.45 to take more $$ from the customer? Why? Expensive for only two meats. I still got the ribs and brisket. Ribs were good but brisket was not! I like BBQ with smoked favor and this is far from it. It also came with beans which was ok and mac was ok. The place is super nice with inside and outside seating! They also have a clean bathroom which is a bonus and TV's to watch sporting events. Parking is easy on a tuesday. The service was very nice and friendly. They will give you a free drink if leaving a yelp review so let them know. Sadly too many better BBQ spots around town to come back here. Food rating: BBQ Ribs 7.5\10 BBQ Beans 7.5\10 Mac and cheese 7.0\10 Brisket 6.0\10

With very few BBQ options in the city, I tried this spot located on 2nd street. Luckily I found parking easily. This was for a takeout order. As a 1st timer, I went with my favorite cut of meat, brisket. This has an upcharge as noted on the menu. I found the meat to be cooked to perfection and full of flavor. I even enjoyed the BBQ sauce as that can make or break a BBQ spot for me. The plate was serve with 2 sides. I went with the good old standbys, potato salad and coleslaw. They were both a bit different here, making it unique. I am not sure I loved either, but they were both good. Overall, I found it a bit expensive for the portion size. And...BBQ without cornbread as an offering was a bit weird to me. I would return based on flavor and quality.

8/10 Two Meat Platter - Brisket, Gochujang pork belly, Mac n Cheese, & Potato Fries. - The brisket was definitely the star of the show for me, super soft and easy to eat. The pork belly had a good flavor but it was pretty tough. I took one bite and ended up packing it up for my boyfriend's lunch the next day lol. The mac and cheese and fries were decent overall. 9/10 Wings - Gochujang sauce and Buffalo - The gochujang sauce was my favorite for sure. For the other half, we asked for it to come without sauce so we could dip the wings in whatever we wanted instead. Cost - Two Meat Platter $31.90, Wings $18.00. (Before taxes and tip).

My wife and I came here for the first time and truly enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Early in the evening and the weather is great. The service was perfect the food was awesome the portions were definitely worth the price! All the way around truly in five star experience. Thank you so much! We will be back.

BBQ is my thing! I'll never get bored of it! My bf asked me what I wanted to eat after our 5k and I said BBQ! After a few searches we came across RIBBRO BBq in Long Beach. We ordered the 2 meat combo that includes two sides. I was bumbed because they didn't have the 3 meat combo. I ordered brisket with pulled pork macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. My bf ordered brisket with sausage fries and the bbq beans. We also had an a la carte order of smoked chicken breast. It was nice that they had a different selection of sauces, a self serve bar with kimchi and pickles. Utensils, sauces and napkins were also available. I was hungry and was hopeful that this meal would satisfy my BBQ craving. Unfortunately, it didn't. I expected a smoky flavor on the proteins a nice bark on the brisket and it was far from that. It was lacking flavor. In order to taste flavor on the protein I was forced to dip it in the BBQ sauce. It was sad that I had to rely on the sauce for flavor. The Mac and cheese was too cheesy for my liking and the pasta was under cooked. American BBQ This is BBQ with an Asian twist. It was my first time trying RIBBRO BBQ and sadly it will be my last. I still have not found a good BBQ place in the LA area. I'm hopeful that I will.

We stopped by while walking up 2nd Street. A decent menu and average prices. We got the two meat platter with ribs and brisket. The ribs were delicious and cooked well. The brisket was tender and it was served in a pile. It could have come with a slice or two of bread. The two sides were Cole slaw and potato salad. The coleslaw was bland and the potato salad was tasty. We got a white wine and a refillable fountain drink. The wine was warm, it would have been better chilled. They have various sauces and pickles for toppings at the condiment bar. Kind of like a Korean flare to it. They have 4 large flat screen televisions on the walls playing the All Star game.

Food 4/5: Ordered the two meat combo, had the ribs and burnt ends. The ribs were tender and slightly sweeten. Great tasty flavor, no additional sauces needed. The burnt ends were also great, reminded me of pork belly from a kbbq spot. The rice was a bit lacking but overall the order was great. Bbq beans, was perfectly flavored, not too sweet. Add some soju and you have a great meal! Service 4/5: Staff was nice and quick. Ambiance 4/5: Nice spot on 2nd steet. Decent seating, nice clean decor.

This place is honestly kind of hilarious. I've ordered from here around 10 times now roughly 5 lunches and 5 dinners. At first I thought I was imagining things, but the pattern becomes too consistent to ignore. Dinner is almost always great. The meat is fresh, juicy, and exactly what you'd expect from good BBQ. Lunch, on the other hand, is a completely different story. The meat is dry, tough, and tastes like it was sitting around overnight. At this point, I've come to one conclusion: you make a fresh batch for dinner, then whatever doesn't sell gets served the next day at lunch. Is that what's going on? Today's order was the worst one yet. Just look at this brisket. It looks dry, overcooked, and nothing like what I get during dinner service. The difference between lunch and dinner quality is so noticeable that it feels like I'm ordering from two different restaurants. If you want good BBQ, order at dinner. If you're ordering lunch, be prepared for LEFTOVERS.

Interesting establishment. It's kind of asian/bbq fusion. Small and cozy vibe. They have ribs, brisket, pulled pork along with Kimchi and fried rice. They also offer beer and wine. We ordered the 2 meat special (pork ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw, potato salad)Z they have bbq sauces (spicy and mild), dill pickle slices, jalapeno and kimchi. My fav was the potato salad. The wine, not so much as it was warm but hey it's a bbq restaurant so can't complain. Will we return, probably not. It's a one and done. But overall I'd give it a 3.8 and may stop again if in the area.

Nice little spot for some different style BBQ. The atmosphere is very relaxed with tvs to watch sports. They offer beer and wine if you want it. Service was really good too. The style of the dinner is more of that old style burger joint or pizza by the slice type Places. You order up at the counter. Their menu is HUGE! Ordered the brisket songs sandwich, two meat combo with brisket and gochogang pork, and the loaded Mac n cheese with pulled pork. The food was all good. The pulled pork was delicious, the gochugang pork was like meat candy, and the Mac n cheese was fantastic. The sides were good too. The coleslaw was different and really good. Onion rings great, and the potato salad was a different style too. My two complaints about the experience was that the baked beans or BBQ beans were underdone and crunchy. The bbq sauces were just ok. The biggest issue was that the brisket was way overcooked. It was very tender to the point that it was mushy and hard to eat without it crumbling apart. The flavor was good though especially with some bbq sauce. They claim they are a Texas bbq. It's certainly a different style Of Texas Bbq. As I've never seen a Texas bbq place offer radish kimchi, or pickled radish. That said they were both absolutely delicious. If you stop in here you HAVE to get the loaded Mac, or get the rice bowl with pulled pork and that radish kimchi!

Exceptional BBQ! Order at the counter and the staff delivers to the table. The 3 slider with 2 sides was perfect. We also ordered a platter that had two kinds of meat, brisket and pork. The MacNCheese and Coke slaw are yummy options. We love this place and will come back, and we will recommend to our friends.

I'm not sure what this is but it's not pulled chicken as indicated on the menu... it's slimy and doesn't pull apart easily. Maybe some of the other options are better on the menu but wouldn't order this ever again.

The meats were perfect. We love the brisket, the ribs, fried chicken drumsticks, fried potato chips. All were made fresh. We hope the wait time can be shortened although good food takes time. The idea that food is cooked to almost done beforehand and cooked through when ordered may be gross but perhaps necessary to manage throughputs. read more

This place is it. When you are looking for some good bbq come here. I have been here 4 times already. And everytime was a hit. I have had the bbq ribs which I love because it has a unique flavor that sits on your tounge even after you leave. The sides are good as well. I love the bbq beans. Its not your can beans. And the flavor in that is something that also last in your mouth as well. And let me start on the Mac and cheese. The cheese actually has flavor. Very tasty and flavorful. Food was so good, loved the brisket especially. Sides I had were great, really like the mac and cheese especially. The service was amazing, owners running the place are very nice and attentive. Gave me free kimchi to try that was delicious. My girlfriend got the chicken breast sandwich and the chicken was really tender and juicy. We tried the fully loaded potato fries with brisket and the brisket plate. The meat was especially tender and flavorful. With the bbq sauce it was delicious. We tried the onion rings and seasoned rice as our sides. Both were very good. We were halfway through our meal before I remembered to take photos, next time I'll take the pics before we dive in! And there definitely will be a next time. The service was friendly and the restaurant interior was comfortable and clean. An added bonus, we were given a 15% off coupon when we entered the restaurant. I'd highly recommend this bbq restaurant if you are in the mood for some delicious and flavorful bbq. read more

Sadly the wait for the food outweighed the actual food . Even if the food was amazing which it was just mediocre the fact we had to wait a little over 45 minutes for a pulled pork sandwich which unfortunately was 1/3 fat chunks and a 2 meat platter which wasn't even properly warmed sausage want even warmed up Mac n cheese was "Alden te"kinda hard to be honest standard seating clean however not sure what is going on with this place but there are better choices in Belmont Shores to give your business to. my boyfriend and i were looking for a quick place to stop for an early dinner. this place was very inviting so we decided to stop here. when i tell you how SHOCKED we were by the food. the brisket LITERALLY pulls apart with a fork. the manager dropped off our food along with a side of vegetable we didn't order, but gave to us just to try. my boyfriend isn't a big vegetable person but he barely left any for me !! this place absolutely exceeded my expectations. will most definitely be returning !!! read more

Run don't walk to this gem! One of the best experiences I've had in awhile. Came in after going to a nearby park with my kids (5 and 1). We ordered them a plate of the chicken bbq and they inhaled it. The chicken and Mac and cheese were awesome. And the service was so incredibly welcoming and kind. Bro- eat here. It's unreal bro. Excellent wings. Great smoke on the brisket. Corn bread is something special. Spicey slaw is nice - it uses vinegar instead of mayo. Friendly staff. Good mix of old fashioned bbq with some Korean spices. Good vibe. Nice tv for college football. read more

Way too over rated like everything on 2nd Street. The Gochujang Pork is a mediocre rendition of Jaeyookbokum. The Gochujang Ribs had an interesting Korean hybrid sauce, but was also aversge at best. They totally destroyed my favorite cut of meat to smoke. Their Beef Brisket felt like I was chewing on my belt. Dry, unflavorful, tough ... they really don't know how to smoke here. A three meat item went from $27 to $41 because of premium meat up-charges. SMFH I gave a star because their kimchi was house made at least. read more

I will drive anywhere for good BBQ and was excited to see a new BBQ spot close to home. For me, brisket is the litmus test of any BBQ restaurant. If the brisket is moist and succulent, it's a good spot. I ordered the Classic Sandwich with brisket to go. The good news, my food was nicely packaged in paper (yay!) to go containers. The side of slaw was tiny but good, the potatoes were real potatoes thinly sliced and then fried, almost like a potato chip. The brisket had been chopped into small pieces and was very dry. I used both sides of BBQ sauce just to add some flavor and moisture. If brisket is your thing, look elsewhere. read more

For my first (and last) order I stopped by at noon to order BB ribs, corn bread, and mac and cheese for a 6:30 pick up. Well at 6:45 I was told they tried calling me several times (which was a lie) to tell me my order was going to be 15-20 min late she also was very insistent I cancel my order which I didn't understand why. At 7:45 I finally got my order and they threw in a couple of small sides. The ribs were ok, the mac and cheese was like a big blob over cooked with little flavor, the coleslaw was very mayonnaise, the beans were ok, the microwaved corn bread was dry and could have use some flavor. This in no Naples Ribs. Once I got my order at the counter I saw that they forgot my corn bread. Needless to say to say I'm not sure I'll be back read more

This had to be the worst bbq I have ever had. The experience was awful. Stroll & savor was going on yesterday so I tried to have some grace because it was a very busy evening. Unfortunately, it was that bad. I ordered the two item plate, and was told that the brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken were sold out. But then I was told there was still chicken. I I paid roughly $25 and change for chicken and gochujang pork. After I paid I was informed that the chicken was shredded chicken (not bbq chicken, on a bone). The plate came and the meats were terrible. The shredded chicken was extremely dry. The pork was overly cooked, dry, and left with me with heartburn most of the night. i have a wheat flour allergy and asked if the wings were gf. the woman working went to go check and informed me that the gochujang was not gf and offered me lemon pepper or spicy buffalo. i ordered spicy buffalo and asked if they offered any cider or just beer. the woman responded "well our happy hour has onion rings and fries".... ok? so i got the soju cocktail and let this strange interaction pass. i go to the restroom to wash my hands and someone starts banging on the door. when i walk out i see a man who apparently works there. again, weird. once i get my wings i notice they don't look like typical spicy buffalo, and after eating a couple they seem like they are actually the gochujang wings. i asked the man at the counter if he can confirm what they are because of my allergy. he says yes, they are buffalo they just make their own sauce so it looks different. as i continue eating the woman comes over and says they would like to remake my order since i don't like the taste. then the man informed me that some of the gochujang sauce may have gotten into the buffalo mix. they bring out a huge plate of wings that are obviously coated in a different spicy buffalo sauce. currently as i write this i am enduring the reaction to my allergy from the workers feeding me the one thing i said i couldn't eat lol. and thinking about how they tried to gaslight me to cover their mistake. i don't typically write bad reviews but the level of incompetence is insane. one of the strangest restaurant experiences i've had that legit felt like the twilight zone. wings were also not anything special to get an allergic reaction over. please properly train your employees! huge indicator of bad management read more

I recently visited RibBro BBQ in Long Beach, and I must say, it was an utter disappointment. I ordered the "Joy Box," which is advertised as a "family meal" meant to feed up to 4-5 people. The cost was $110, and with tax and the "recommended" 18% gratuity, the total came to over $140! When the food arrived, it was a sorry excuse for a "family meal." It was more like a meal for 2, and there was no way it was going to fill up 4 grown adults. Needless to say, it felt like a complete ripoff. RibBro BBQ isn't fine dining, but they certainly charge fine dining prices, which is just plain wrong. It's simply a takeout restaurant with obscene prices. To make matters worse, the service was extremely rude and slow. I spoke to the skinny guy at the counter and mentioned they were out of toilet paper in the restroom, and he rudely replied with, "Yeah, ok! I know!" This level of service is unacceptable. Overall, I would not recommend RibBro BBQ. The food portions are misleading, the prices are outrageous, and the service is downright rude. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

The meat aged for 13 hours was soft enough to melt in your mouth. I recommend you to try it. The interior was simple and clean, and you could watch it on TV. The atmosphere of the meal was also excellent. read more
