With very few BBQ options in the city, I tried this spot located on 2nd street. Luckily I found parking easily. This was for a takeout order. As a 1st timer, I went with my favorite cut of meat, brisket. This has an upcharge as noted on the menu. I found the meat to be cooked to perfection and full of flavor. I even enjoyed the BBQ sauce as that can make or break a BBQ spot for me. The plate was serve with 2 sides. I went with the good old standbys, potato salad and coleslaw. They were both a bit different here, making it unique. I am not sure I loved either, but they were both good. Overall, I found it a bit expensive for the portion size. And...BBQ without cornbread as an offering was a bit weird to me. I would return based on flavor and quality.

8/10 Two Meat Platter - Brisket, Gochujang pork belly, Mac n Cheese, & Potato Fries. - The brisket was definitely the star of the show for me, super soft and easy to eat. The pork belly had a good flavor but it was pretty tough. I took one bite and ended up packing it up for my boyfriend's lunch the next day lol. The mac and cheese and fries were decent overall. 9/10 Wings - Gochujang sauce and Buffalo - The gochujang sauce was my favorite for sure. For the other half, we asked for it to come without sauce so we could dip the wings in whatever we wanted instead. Cost - Two Meat Platter $31.90, Wings $18.00. (Before taxes and tip).

BBQ is my thing! I'll never get bored of it! My bf asked me what I wanted to eat after our 5k and I said BBQ! After a few searches we came across RIBBRO BBq in Long Beach. We ordered the 2 meat combo that includes two sides. I was bumbed because they didn't have the 3 meat combo. I ordered brisket with pulled pork macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. My bf ordered brisket with sausage fries and the bbq beans. We also had an a la carte order of smoked chicken breast. It was nice that they had a different selection of sauces, a self serve bar with kimchi and pickles. Utensils, sauces and napkins were also available. I was hungry and was hopeful that this meal would satisfy my BBQ craving. Unfortunately, it didn't. I expected a smoky flavor on the proteins a nice bark on the brisket and it was far from that. It was lacking flavor. In order to taste flavor on the protein I was forced to dip it in the BBQ sauce. It was sad that I had to rely on the sauce for flavor. The Mac and cheese was too cheesy for my liking and the pasta was under cooked. American BBQ This is BBQ with an Asian twist. It was my first time trying RIBBRO BBQ and sadly it will be my last. I still have not found a good BBQ place in the LA area. I'm hopeful that I will.

We stopped by while walking up 2nd Street. A decent menu and average prices. We got the two meat platter with ribs and brisket. The ribs were delicious and cooked well. The brisket was tender and it was served in a pile. It could have come with a slice or two of bread. The two sides were Cole slaw and potato salad. The coleslaw was bland and the potato salad was tasty. We got a white wine and a refillable fountain drink. The wine was warm, it would have been better chilled. They have various sauces and pickles for toppings at the condiment bar. Kind of like a Korean flare to it. They have 4 large flat screen televisions on the walls playing the All Star game.

Food 4/5: Ordered the two meat combo, had the ribs and burnt ends. The ribs were tender and slightly sweeten. Great tasty flavor, no additional sauces needed. The burnt ends were also great, reminded me of pork belly from a kbbq spot. The rice was a bit lacking but overall the order was great. Bbq beans, was perfectly flavored, not too sweet. Add some soju and you have a great meal! Service 4/5: Staff was nice and quick. Ambiance 4/5: Nice spot on 2nd steet. Decent seating, nice clean decor.

Interesting establishment. It's kind of asian/bbq fusion. Small and cozy vibe. They have ribs, brisket, pulled pork along with Kimchi and fried rice. They also offer beer and wine. We ordered the 2 meat special (pork ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw, potato salad)Z they have bbq sauces (spicy and mild), dill pickle slices, jalapeno and kimchi. My fav was the potato salad. The wine, not so much as it was warm but hey it's a bbq restaurant so can't complain. Will we return, probably not. It's a one and done. But overall I'd give it a 3.8 and may stop again if in the area.

I'm not sure what this is but it's not pulled chicken as indicated on the menu... it's slimy and doesn't pull apart easily. Maybe some of the other options are better on the menu but wouldn't order this ever again.

    Best tasting option IMO

Nice little spot for some different style BBQ. The atmosphere is very relaxed with tvs to watch sports. They offer beer and wine if you want it. Service was really good too. The style of the dinner is more of that old style burger joint or pizza by the slice type Places. You order up at the counter. Their menu is HUGE! Ordered the brisket songs sandwich, two meat combo with brisket and gochogang pork, and the loaded Mac n cheese with pulled pork. The food was all good. The pulled pork was delicious, the gochugang pork was like meat candy, and the Mac n cheese was fantastic. The sides were good too. The coleslaw was different and really good. Onion rings great, and the potato salad was a different style too. My two complaints about the experience was that the baked beans or BBQ beans were underdone and crunchy. The bbq sauces were just ok. The biggest issue was that the brisket was way overcooked. It was very tender to the point that it was mushy and hard to eat without it crumbling apart. The flavor was good though especially with some bbq sauce. They claim they are a Texas bbq. It's certainly a different style Of Texas Bbq. As I've never seen a Texas bbq place offer radish kimchi, or pickled radish. That said they were both absolutely delicious. If you stop in here you HAVE to get the loaded Mac, or get the rice bowl with pulled pork and that radish kimchi!

Exceptional BBQ! Order at the counter and the staff delivers to the table. The 3 slider with 2 sides was perfect. We also ordered a platter that had two kinds of meat, brisket and pork. The MacNCheese and Coke slaw are yummy options. We love this place and will come back, and we will recommend to our friends.

Would recommend checking out this place if you love bbq. We got the loaded friends, 2 meat plate and small rib and it was a good amount of food for 3 people. The flavors were good and meats were soft.

Heard great things about this spot and I am happy to say it did not disappoint! For my first time dine in experience I ordered the BBQ Bowl with Brisket as my choice of meat. The brisket was tender and well flavored. The bowl was delicious- filled with bbq beans, salad, rice, tomatoes, cranberries, and nuts. Bbq sauce options and assorted pickle veggies were unlimited and self serve which is great! Service was friendly and welcoming. Interior is simple yet charming. Self serve area was clean and tidy. Overall great experience! Can't wait to come back and try more off the menu.

They food was amazing we had the brisket and kielbasa sausage with onion rings and we look everything even the drinks were delicious from a hazy ipa to a soju cocktail the chef and cashier were super nice definitely will be coming back

First and foremost let me just say that the hospitality was A1 and they had the food to back it up!! When I say you can't go wrong with their food I absolutely mean it. Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed their entrees. I ordered the one meat (ribs) with seasoned rice and potato salad. The ribs were actually smoked!! Yes it had the pink rings around the meat as proof and the taste was phenomenal!!! The meat was flavorful and it was moist!! The rice was seasoned well. The burnt rib tips were juicy and smoky. The staff and o believe the owner were really sweet and welcoming. We will be coming back. It's hard to find real bbq and smoked at that that taste amazing. This is the spot!!!

Pretty good barbecue!…read more We ordered several combo platters, sampling through a variety of meats. The Spareribs and Brisket were very flavorful and satisfying - but if I had to nitpick, the 'cue could've been just a bit more tender - the texture was just a shade off of the true "gold standard" sort of barbecue that I've had in the past. Nevertheless - the bold, smoky flavors hit the spot - impressive stuff overall! Would recommend. PS - The beer selection here ain't too shabby, either!

To say service is very poor would be understatement. Arrived on Saturday and sat at open seating in the bar area at a table. After waiting over 30 minutes (and just observing the lady that was working the section socializing with guest like she could care less about helping take my order). So after waiting and watching the two lady bar servers continue to have extended conversations and pretty much ignoring myself and my guest...I walked to the bar and asked the bartender if anyone was taking orders in the open seating indoor area that we were sitting at. The bartender told me that the ladies working the section had to help wash dishes and basically unable to take myself and my guest orders. We ended up walking out and went to a neighboring restaurant along the waterfront strip. How hard would have it had been to take a couple of orders or at the very least say "Hello" or "Give us a minute we are a little busy". Don't keep talking to your favorite customers and continue to walk by myself and my guest without saying something. The whole vibe seemed like the moral at this establishment with this shift is very low. Teach your servers to engage with all guest instead of have social hour during their shift...at the bare minimum again, a simple "hello" or "I'll help you in a moment" This happened on Saturday 02/28/2026 from 4pm through 4:35 pm (if management wants to look at the cameras and see just how disengaged the staff was during this shift).

The biggest compliment is for someone you trust to rave about how good food is. The second thing was promising smell in the air. The unmistakable aroma of BBQ, smoke and above all Flavor! Third, it was 2pm in the afternoon and people were walking away with to-go plates, big grins and thanking the workers. And before I could think of a fourth thing the server asked me if she could help me and before I could make up my mind the owner passed me a cup of ice water stating "you look thirsty". You can't make that level of customer service up. So how did it taste?! Ribs - The owner said I wouldn't need any sauce and I appreciate his confidence. Nice smoke ring, beautiful glimmer and well seasoned. No complaints. Brisket- Sliced, well portioned, and yes they were tender. A little too thick of a slice but no issues here. Greens - if you were looking for the scraps of pork I must tell you to look no further. The meat to greens ratios was almost embarrassing. You could literally eat it as a full meal not to mention it had great flavor. A bit too much vinegar but that's just a preference. Mac & Cheese - listen anyone who dares to make a rue and their own cheese sauce is starting off in high regard! Where they lacked in seasoning is ok because you can always add more. The real treat is how well it warmed up the next day! Candied Yams - Good, not great. Throughly cooked, buttery and flavorful. Just not a fan of the cooking method. All the cinnamon floated to the top. Lemonade - It was the healthiest fresh squeezed lemonade i ever had. Unfortunately it was giving Minute Maid. Pickled Onions - they pickle their own onions! It's the little things that make the difference! Pros - Good Food! Great portions! Amazing customer service! Cons - ONLY one BBQ Sauce option and it was basic. I really could have skipped the lemonade.

Or a diner in big bear lake. It's charming. Anyways, I ordered the dinner for 2 for my mother and father. It came with a bit of bbq chicken, half rack of ribs, tri tip, catfish, cornbread, 2 sides, okra, sweet Potatoe fries and fried green tomatoes. I ordered myself a full rack baby back rib combo and it also came with two sides. French fries and mac. On top of that I ordered some hush puppies . I did not realize that I ordered that much food!!! It was sooo much. Cornbread - meh doesn't really have enough flavor but it's warm and you can add butter. The catfish- the breading was nice and crispy. French fries and mac and cheese- you can't ness that up. The tri tip- probably the best protein that we ate. Very soft. Ribs- needed more bbq sauce but you can order more. It was way better the next day when I heated them up. Chicken- I didn't eat it. My mom did. Hush puppies- fried cornbread. Not my thing. Sweet Potatoe fries- staple Fried green tomatoes- surprised me, that was actually good for literally a fried green tomato Okra- first bites, amazing, after a few it was too soggy for me. Just get the dinner for two. It's more than enough and you get to try a little bit of everything for 58 + dollars. Was it amazing? Not everything, but I appreciate the portion sizes and the variety.

I grabbed a straw, punctured the cup, and took a big gulp waiting for the sugar high I was craving! Sadly, it too was less than I desired. Then the Mac and cheese wasn't as flavorful either. I began wondering what type of pallet my co-worker had? This is BBQ for babies. I did finish the food but definitely had to do some "doctoring up" of my own. C'mon Johnny, reach for the stars!
