Had an amazing happy hour and dinner at Rome + Fig! Started off with drinks and apps at the bar, which were phenomenal (especially the spring rolls)! After trying the new seasonal cocktail (also amazing, thank you Tyler), we had one of the best dinners we've had. We had the filet, scallops, and salmon, which were all done to perfection. Somewhere I would recommend trying at least once. The staff was very accommodating, and the atmosphere was really relaxed. The Fig and the Flower was probably one of the best drinks I've ever had. In terms of food, the bison meatballs were a little dry but polenta was incredible. I ordered the filet mignon, but was actually very disappointed in the dish. It was totally under cooked and had a strange flavor. The server did take it back immediately to have it cooked more and was incredibly apologetic. The espresso martini and pumpkin cheesecake was a nice way to finish off the meal. Overall, decent food, great drinks, friendly staff, but moderately over priced. read more

First time to Rome & Fig and had a wonderful time. Our server was very attentive and was quick to answers to our questions. We decided to try a sampling of the appetizers and they were excellent. The owner, Christine, stoped by our table to check on us and was very pleasant. After dinner we had a couple of drinks at the bar, our bartender was professional and entertaining. The decor is very welcoming in an understated Eclectic way. Rome & Fig is located within walking distance to our home and may now be our new go to place. Can't wait to go back! read more

Great new spot in Tampa in an area I have never heard of before, NoHo (only been in Tampa 6ish yrs). NoHo has a cool vibe...looks like an up and coming area with a lot of new buildings. The restraunt itself was great. Honestly had nothing to complain about: Food & Cocktails...Great, Service...Great, Atmosphere...Great. Outdoor area is really cool with the turf. The caprese salad was pretty good, but needed more cheese, and a burrata instead of a mozzarella would have better enhanced it. All in all, a nice meal, but a little skimpy. Looking for a dinner spot after walking around U of T. This place was perfect. They were able to take us without a wait but almost all the tables were full - always a good sign. Went to this spot on a Sunday afternoon for Brunch with some friends. We had the Avocado toast, chicken and waffles and breakfast burger. Everything was very good, no complaints. We also each had the "bottomless mimosas". Although they are not bottomless, you do get a bottle for 20$ and some fantastic mixers. Our favorite was the pear and cinnamon. One of the best meals I've had out in a long time. The atmosphere, service, food, and drinks are more than exceptional. I ordered the Salmon for dinner and it was unlike anything I've ever had. Cooked to perfection with a side of celery root purée.. who would of thought! You can tell the Rome and Fig team took their time creating this menu and it did not disappoint. This local family and chef have knocked it out of the park with this place! We're lucky enough to live next door and have been all three weeks for their soft opening Pre fixed menus. Each time the food has been RIDICULOUSLY good, the staff have been wonderful attention, and an owner has stopped by to see how everything was. You can tell a lot of love is in this place and we geeked privileged to have it in our back yard. read more

I never take the time do a restaurant review but my experience was so bad that I need to. I ordered an avocado toast-the bread was soft (almost as if it was just taken out the bag) and was not toasted. My friend, who was with me could even visibly tell that it wasn't toasted from across the table without even touching it, or eating it herself. The avocado was browning (ok I get that does happen) but the egg and entirety of the meal was cold and no flavor (no salt or anything just bland). The entire presentation of it was bad. I alerted the server and told them that I would like another one and politely explained why. The male who came to my table, tried to make excuses, and said that it was because it happens when the toppings are left on the bread for a while, that it becomes soggy. I have had avocado toast in hundreds of restaurants and not once have I ever been served a soggy/soft bread. When you toast bread it's firm you could leave a bread out for hours toasted and it's still going to stay firm. If by chance we use his logic/excuse, then how long was this avocado toast hanging around in the kitchen before it was given to me? Was it premade hours ago? There's literally no excuse for this. But then it gets worse. He comes back with three plates- one just has two slices of plain toast, a plate with an egg, and a plate with two slices of tomato one of which is a normal slice and the other slice is so thick that I had to slice it in half to even eat it. It also came with a small little cup of avocado. I looked up at him in disbelief and said "wait so now I have to make the avocado toast?" And he said "oh no, we just brought it deconstructed for you" Again, I've been to many dining establishments, where they have deconstructed meals, this is not deconstructed, This was a you-sent-your-meal-back-now-you-have-to-make-it-yourself. If I wanted to make my own avocado toast, I would do it at home and to be honest I wish I would have. It's really a shame because my home is near and would be a good weekend spot but I literally will never return here based off of this meal and the service. (Unfortunately, I only took a video and not a picture so I can't post it to share) read more

This place was good but too expensive for what they offered. First of all this is not a family friendly place. It's a cool place but not so much for families. It's definitely more like a bar to try out with friends. I was pregnant when I went. For non-alcoholic drinks, they only have sodas, no ice tea or lemonade...come on. So I kept my water. The plates are pricey for the food quality. I ordered the scallops. It was $40 dollars for what it looked more like an appetizer. Only three scallops with a side. It was tasty but I've had better for a better price. I asked for bread, and they didn't have any bread. It's a restaurant, how do they not have bread? My husband ordered the fish of the day. It came with some carrot side dish that he hated. The waiter changed it to a different side dish, apparently what they serve the Rib-eye with, both sides were horrible, I tried them too. Again, not worth $40 for each meal. To add, they only have two bathrooms. One for men and one for women. Just one toilet for each! Well the time I went, the female bathroom was out of service, keep in mind that I'm pregnant. So I had to wait in line for the only toilet working to be available. All of that wasn't worth our dining experience. The restaurant is nice and modern but I've seen much better. Our waiter was pretty nice though. Can't complain about the service. I would probably go back with friends for a night out to try their cocktails. The drinks looked good. But overall, I can only give it 3 stars. Nothing impressive. read more

Just had our first meal at Rome + Fig since moving across the street to NOHO. Right off the bat; the atmosphere is amazing. Not a large establishment, but a very cozy upscale spot. Their drinks were great, from lower end beverages to pretty pricey ones. They didn't have a full menu out however they had their select menu for the night and every single item was phenomenal. From their kale Caesar, Steak to their peach pie to wrap it up. The staff is extremely friendly and a joy. The owners are very active and involved which made our whole night wonderful. We look forward to making this our normal date spot. read more

Been here twice now, once for an amazing brunch and another recently for dinner. Friends made a reservation for a bday dinner and unfortunately table wasn't ready but the staff were attentive and sincerely apologetic. I will say the drinks are on point! They were so good!! We were able to squeeze in sitting outside last minute and I'm so glad we did! The service was excellent- attentive but not hovering. And all the food was delicious! The tomato salad with burrata definitely has a strong truffle flavor but yummy and the tuna tartare was great as well. For dinner, we had day boat snapper (very tender and mild well cooked), lamb chops, and creamy risotto. No complaints! Can't wait to come back and try brunch. read more
