    Pacific Beach Bowl
    Shawn E.

This spot is right off the beach so naturally that is where we went to eat our açaí bowls. The guy working was very proud of the local honey they use and I have to say...this was a delicious bowl! It was a small spot with a cool vibe and a few places to sit inside and chill. I'd definitely recommend it!

This is a really cute shop tucked into a PB shopping center. The shop itself is cute and super clean. The menu is robust complete with breakfast items, smoothies, acai bowls, wraps, etc. We ordered the protein colada smoothie and the detox smoothie. Both of them had overpowering protein flavor, with the detox slightly more flavorful. They were also a bit watery. We probably wouldn't return for the smoothies, but the acai bowls looked promising.

Tasty sandwiches, a few good vegetarian options. It is close to the beach, and there's a parking lot.

So, I lived in PB from about 2015 to 2017. I used to go to the gym at Shock, right above Rum Jungle. When I tell you that this Diablo Wrap has had a HOLD ON ME for the past 10 years, it's absolutely no exaggeration. I dream of it, I drool while I'm dreaming about it, and I'll eventually drive from Escondido to PB just to wrap my lips around it. I have tried to recreate this thing at home, to no real success. GOLLY, I'm getting hungry just typing this review. Seriously, do yourself a favor and go get one ASAP. (Great smoothies, service, and vibes, too, but wow, nothing quite compares to the love of my life, the Diablo.)

    Albacore Tuna Melt

Been here a handful of times and it's become one of my top lunch spots in the area. I LOVE their juices and I have yet to find a quick spot that has better wraps. The winner for me was their tuna sandwich... it was so refreshing and had the perfect crunch with the pepperoncinis and sliced red onion on top. Great great spot I hope it stays open and business goes well for them!!!

Quinoa wrap without beans and chipotle sauce

I love this place! Their quinoa wrap was delicious. It had so much crisp and fresh kale and the woman who took my order was so polite and let me change the wrap in any way I wanted. I got it without the black beans and chipotle sauce. The woman even said I could order a not-spicy version of the chicken in the wrap, which was very sweet of her. Definitely coming back and I would love to try their smoothies or Acai bowls next time!

    Hawaiian Açaí Bowl

We were a few minutes early for closing and the lady and her partner were so gracious enough to take out orders. I ordered the Hawaiian and it was soo good! Mangoes. Bananas. Tropical blast in my mouth! The ambiance really brings you out of Mission Bay! I hope i can visit them again and i hope you do visit them! Try it out and i guarantee you, you won't regret it! Ciao! I mean Aloooohha!

    Hawaiian Acai Bowl

Really enjoyed this place! I ordered the Hawaiian Bowl served in a pineapple which was not only tasty but also so pretty to look at! The Hawaiian Bowl has an açaí base and is topped with granola, banana, mango, pineapple, coconut, and honey. Greys portion sizes- I could barely finish my bowl and the fruit was fresh and sweet. They have quite a large menu with several açaí bowl options plus smoothies and some other breakfast items too (e.g. bagel sandwiches and wraps). The inside has fun surf vibes and the service was fairly quick. We sat outside which was nice! Would return next time I'm in PB.

The food was amazing for a smoothie place! They even had vegan and whey protein options to add into smoothie and smoothie bowls. The presentation of the food was really good as well. You could get your bowl in a watermelon or pineapple if you wanted to! There was food for everyone to eat in your family, and the ambiance of the cafe was very nice. There were sandwiches, toast, oatmeal, smoothies, bowls, and more! The workers were friendly and helpful with questions. I'd recommend going here if you're in the area!

    Acai bowls small $11.99

Quick simple foods/snacks (juice, acai bowls, sandwiches, wraps, and CBD drinks). No restroom. Away from the crowds. Probably great to order to-go too, and bring it to the beach to lay out and picnic. There's indoor and outdoor seating We found this place when looking for a snack place. A place that's casual, easy to grab food, no fuss place. This place was perfect. We didn't come with high expectations. And just happy they offer healthy options. Both $13.50 La Jolla Sandwich (cheese on the side), and $11.99 PB Acai Small Bowl were simple and good. If visiting PB to stroll and layout for a chill pace, this place is a good visit before, in between, or ending. Next time, I'd order a juice and CBD water drink to stroll down PB.

Pretty good acai bowls and smoothies! Perfect for a beach day. My favorite was the hawaiian acai bowl

    NeTassha R.

Delicious açaí bowl. I wouldn't get the pineapple bowl again because it's not like you get anything extra other than a pretty bowl. Worth getting the extra pineapple bowl atleast once though! Good service - they substituted because I can't have granola.

Easy spot to grab something quick! Service was great, the guy working was so sweet. Ordered a bagel and cream cheese but they didn't have cream cheese to they subbed for egg and cheese which was totally fine, ended up being so tasty. Would Not recommended coffee though. I ordered a vanilla latte and it tasted like a mocha...not my favorite. Also ordered an açaí smoothie which was alright! Overall an okay place, prob won't be back for coffee.

I placed an order ahead of time and showed up about 25 minutes later thinking it would be ready. When I checked in, a younger employee told me it would be another 10 minutes. Annoying, but okay. The parking situation around here is already a nightmare, so I really wasn't thrilled about having to stand around waiting even longer. Well, those 10 minutes turned into 25. During that time, I watched multiple people walk in, place orders after I had already checked in, and receive their food before me. The crazy part? It wasn't even busy. There was no line out the door, no rush, no obvious reason for such a ridiculous delay. After waiting long enough, I finally went up to an older gentleman working there (I'm assuming the owner) and politely explained that I had been waiting a very long time and was confused why people ordering after me were getting their food first. Instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake, he was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was inconveniencing him for asking about an order that should have been ready ages ago. Then, after another 10 minutes, my bowls were finally ready. In total, I waited about 35 minutes after checking in for pickup. To top it all off, the older gentleman practically shoved the bowls at me without so much as a "sorry for the wait." Look, delays happen. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service. If you're running behind, just be honest about it. Don't tell someone 10 minutes when it's really going to be over half an hour. The açaí is good, but not nearly good enough to make up for being treated like an annoyance. There are plenty of other places in San Diego serving great bowls without the attitude.

Street parking is available, but depending on the day and time, finding a spot can be an adventure of its own. Give yourself some extra time, especially on the weekends. Do public transportation if you can. Seating: Limited seating both indoor and outdoor. Room for maybe 20 people. Vibes: Welcome to PB. What's cool is that you're a few steps away from Crystal Pier and the beach, then you got your PB things from local beach goers to some fun random events. The spot itself is nothing too flashy. It has your nice pop music playing with some photos of their drinks and their accolades. Good for a grab and go but if you need a break from the heat, this is a chill (no pun intended). FOOD/DRINKS Funky Monkey Mocha (Recommend) This was good. What's not to love - banana, peanut butter, and chocolate. Fich mocha with a nice fruity sweetness of banana and that nutty taste from the peanuts. A fun and desert like drink that gives you a good caffeine kick. CUSTOMER SERVICE Great! Down-to-earth and welcoming. The menu was overwhelming but I had helpful service. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Good coffee, reasonable prices, and a fun selection that gives this little PB coffee shop its identity. Nothing flashy just simple drinks with growing flavors to reflect the diversity of people that come and visit. Their maybe many coffee shops in this are but it had a good charm. Much love to the Kozoglu family and the Pacific Bean team for holding it down! TIPS: - Definitely explore the signature mocha menu--there are A LOT of choices.

They do have paid parking right out front, but honestly, if you just turn down one of the side streets, there's plenty of free neighborhood parking. That's what I did, and I found a spot almost instantly with no time limit, which was super convenient. I visited around noon on a Thursday, and it was definitely pretty busy. I've never been to this Better Buzz location before, and I was honestly surprised by how many Better Buzz locations there are around Pacific Beach! This one is located right next to Moonshine Beach and has both indoor and outdoor seating. We ended up sitting inside, but all the windows were open, so it still had a really nice, airy atmosphere. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with nonfat milk, light ice, and added a scoop of protein powder. I've been trying to increase my protein intake lately, so I loved that they offered protein as an add-in. They also have a great selection of pastries, bakery items, smoothies, and their signature Best Drink Ever options. The staff were super friendly, and I placed my order online since the line was pretty long. It made the whole process quick and easy. As for the drink, I honestly wasn't the biggest fan. It was definitely something different, but I don't think I'd order it again. The café also didn't have as many outlets as I was hoping for if you're planning to work there. There were quite a few bugs and flies inside, and the tables were a little sticky when we first sat down. Overall, though, it still had a great vibe, and I would definitely come back to try something else on the menu.
