I love eating here. It's really my favorite indian/pakistani restaurant. My favorites are the Beef nihari, Special Karahi Chicken, and Goat Biriyani with nan bread and paratha bread. DELICIOUSSSSSSS. They recently changed the entire look of the savoy complex, which upgraded the entire environment. The food was excellent quality, the best Indo-Pak food in the Houston area. Awful chicken korma and beef curry. We had food delivered via uber eats and the food was covered in grease - we literally poured more than 1/4 cup of grease off the dishes before serving while this by no means removed all the grease. Chicken korma was white meat, which I appreciate, but the rib and spine bones were not removed so half of the chunks of meat were small bones on which one could easily choke. Beef was ground, over stewed hamburger meat resembling the texture of taco bell beef or dog food. Flavors were ok but there's no way it was worth the price. read more

Best Indo-pak food! The chicken chili is so good and my favorite dish. The rice is a good pairing if your extra hungry the goat/chicken bryani is good also. The naan always comes our fresh and hot! I've been going for the last 10 years and never disappointed with the service or food. read more

I came to this restaurant and placed an order at the counter; the man taking the order tried to change my choice, recommending some other dish. Apparently I was ordering a bad pairing, dry and dry, I'm not really sure. He was genuinely trying to be helpful though, and it turned out really well. The chicken chili was really, really good; and the naan was very good as well. Also had a beef dish, which was good, not quite up to the chicken chili There was almost a 40 minute wait for the food; which is a little high, but seems fairly normal for good Pakistani/Mediterranean restaurants. oh Savoy, the traffic and hectic drive that I must accomplish to consume your food. Savoy is not the classiest looking restaurant, but that shouldn't deter you from their food. I've had their samosas, nihari, masala goat, naan, mango lassi, tandoori chicken, and many other things. The tamarind chutney? or sauce thing, is so delicious with the samosas. The yogurt sauce that comes with it though, not so much :s I also enjoy how spicy the dishes are because it makes the flavors stand out a whole lot more. The masala goat and the nihari are my favorites. I enjoy adding onions and squirt some lime chuice on the nihari, then take a warm naan to scoop up that goodnes. My mouth is watering now haha. Savoy Restaurant is easy to find, located in a mid-sized shopping center. The place is nicely decorated and welcoming. We had Salman as our server and he recommended the goat masala and goat pulao rice. Both were delicious and the buttered naan was also nice. Service was amazing. This place got my goat! I stepped up to the counter and there it was on the menu! Amazing. So yes, I ordered the Goat Palak. It came with onions and lime, which I was later told I should chill out on. Lesson learned! I wanted some other stuff on the menu. . but they were out. The good humored gentleman behind the counter informed us that if we had gotten there five hours earlier, they would have had those items available. Story of my life--always missing golden opportunities by five hours! Farid R. told me about this place at a UYE ages ago, as we sat at the London Sizzler and he stared displeasingly at his goat. I didn't know any better at the time, but i now see the light! The goat was knock out, flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The Nhan are big as your face! I come here just for the food, it's fresh and made daily. Service is ok, if you tip The waiter you may get better service... You gotta realize that these wait stuff do not have formal training, they apply and start, so I am perfectly ok with it. I rather enjoy nice fresh food. Love their biryani. Last week when I came with family spontaneously on new years day, they had no more biryani because EVERYONE gets it. People had ordered in advance to save their biryani. Yeah, it's not high class dinning, and you do eat on styrofoam plates. The service is minimal. The menu is basic, and it lacks the description most people know from eating out. However, the food is homestyle ethnic food, and it's delicious! Not to mention it's really cheap. With any classic Pakistani or Indian cuisine, it's spicy! So be prepared. I am giving this restaurant two stars as this was one of my favorite places for desi food. Today the service we received was so horrible that I was compelled to write a review. We entered the restaurant and waited to be seated. We ended up seating ourselves, despite many attempts to flag down the lady with the I-pad she finally came and dropped off two menus. After which there was no service. We left because no one came to take our order. The lady visited a table near us several times but continued to ignore us. Not sure what was going on but we left. Now, I've been visiting this restaurant since I was a child, but over the years Savoy has definitely improved in their food quality. It may not look like a gem, but the food is so good and you can tell that they put their time into it, because it looks good too. I ordered chicken tikka, I believe it was $7, but it costs extra for naan. I also ordered a soda but they forgot to give it to me, so when they handed us naan, I reminded him and he was very apologetic and kind about it. The kulfi is beyond amazing too, only one flavor which is malai but they give you a choice of plain kulfi or kulfi with falooda ingredients on top. The faloodas are really good, too. read more

Literally don't ever order a curry from here let alone a grilled item. I got my food surprisingly piping hot only to realize both curries were microwaved and made from TWO days ago! Also the grilled chicken leg was precooked from a day ago and put in the oven to cook. Shockingly the staff was aware and shrugged this off as it was nothing. I can see you have rave reviews from lots of people, but let me tell you that I was there on Friday, 11/16/18, and was sadly disappointed, I got STALE food. We were there at around 12:30 noon time and when I microwaved my food at home in less than 30 minutes, it smelled bad, almost like putrifying garbage. This was take out and the entree was KARAHI GOAT. PLEASE STOP these kinds of cost cutting methods, they speak poorly for the entire community, esp. those who don't know the difference between fresh food and NOT so fresh. read more

The food is decent but service is very slow even for to-go orders. That's the only reason I hate ordering food to-go from here. It doesnt matter if its empty or full, it will still be slow. The chef in the back seems lazy or slow. Either hire more people or fix the service. Update: even with the new management it took me 30min to get one boti roll it's ridiculous. Nothing has changed. And guess what the chef forgot to make it so had to wait longer. Only fast service is the chaat lady. read more
