My wife and I have passed by Seoul Time to and from our kid's baseball games so we decided one day to check out the new local spot. In an area dominated by hispanic and other asian food options, we were excited to see a Korean food spot pop up. Especially one that seemingly specializes in street food which I always prefer over a fine dining dish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior of the restaurant is very warm and inviting. All of the windows and it being situated on the end of the strip mall allows for a lot of natural light to flood in to the dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's also small restaurant, but it's also roomy enough that I couldn't imagine it feeling cramped, even if it was full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There seemed to only be two people working while we were there, but they treated us very well. I believe one of them was the owner. A wonderfully friendly Korean gentleman who helped us decide on what we would try (we ended up trying several of their dishes). He was just lovely and full of good spirit. It really heightened the experience. In all, I wouldn't say the food was mind blowing, but it hit the spot. Everything tasted like they were coming from family recipes over just some cookbook. Portion sizes were good and everything came out hot and fresh. My only 'complaint' (& I put that in quotes because it's not really a complaint) is that they didn't have any corn dogs and I love a Korean corn dog. But hey, that's fine. It forced me to try new things and we walked out of there having had a lovely tasty meal. We will absolutely be back. I will say it's in a small strip mall so parking could be tight. Be prepared to park on the street. But, it'll be worth a quick stroll.

I was craving some Korean fried chicken and found Seoul time which was close by. I called to order a pick-up of the 16 piece soy garlic wings and fries. The food wasn't ready when I arrived but the owner was very apologetic and nice. It seemed like the owner was the one doing all the cooking and they had a lot of orders. I didn't mind the wait because the owner was very nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is cute. It's a small mom and pop shop in the area, that was clean and had an area to pour your own sauces.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The chicken itself was crispy, juicy, and very flavorful. The soy garlic marinate and sauce the wings were covered in was delicious, and the pieces of chicken were quite big. The fries were decent. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

A super cute Korean restaurant in the valley! Service was really great and quick. We ordered the soy garlic wings with a side of rice. Wings were sweeter than how I usually like them but the quality and crispness of the wings were too good can't go wrong! Popcorn chicken was also a little sweet but still really delicious! Chicken teriyaki had the flavors and was also really good! Can't wait to come back and try more. !!

I've pass this place quite a few times, I've seen them in a post in instagram,,,, so I asked myself maybe I should try them. And so we went.... Came here with wifey for lunch and I must say our dining experience was pretty good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At first, we were hesitant to come in coz the place looks boring and dull. Decorations are very simple, so are the menus which are in a standee in the front counter[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The lady who takes the order doesn't even smile and greet you, lol! But don't be deceived until you order and take the first bite of their food. It was actually pretty darn good! We had the 6 piece garlic soy chicken, the korean beef rice and the tornado potato. Out of the 3, that beef rice was the best! So packed with flavor and very delicious. The beef was so tender, the sweetness and spice was perfect for my palate. Of all the tornado potato i've tried in my life, i think this one stands out. The blend of flavour and spice again was perfect. There's a hint of sweetness too. Now the chicken was little disappointing, yes the flavor is there, the garlic doesn't overpower the blend of sweet soy, the outer coating or breading was crunchy but a little hard and the meat of the chicken if without the sauce and the outer coating was bland. Will I come back here? Yes and would like to try the others. Service here was very quick too.

First timer today. This is a review for a pick up to go order. They have a small menu but that means they can concentrate on freshness and quality of their ingredients. We ordered the 6 piece soy garlic wings and they are sticky goodness. Very crispy and not spicy, can't go wrong with these. Then we wanted to try the Tteokbokki it was like eating a spicy gummy worm. This is not a bad thing. It's a fun eating experience. We really enjoyed these along with the cabbage and egg that was in there also. We got the fried dumplings, these were amazing along with the vinegar based dipping sauce. I think this was my favorite of all of the items. Lastly we got a Small Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. A very generous bowl and good. It's basic but perfect if that is what you're in the mood for. I would definitely go back and try the other bowls and flavors of chicken wings. Good food for sure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small place so take out is advised since they have only three tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also have a do it yourself Raymon bowl. Pick your package of noodles cook it and eat. Fun. The only drawback is the parking this place is in a busy corner strip mall with terrible parking.

I've actually been to Seoul and this is the most Seoulful reincarnation of Seoul food this side of Korea town and maybe even East of Seoul. The service here is soooooo good- they take your order you get your food - now that's what I call service boyos. Now it's time for ambiance This place is posh it has that fake fern stuff all over the place that's normally reserved for instagrammable coffee shops and has a ramen heater in the corner This place is amazing and is just ripe for discovery. It blows my mind everytime I come here and there are no lines out the doors. But as they say - get it while it's good - the pricing is soooooooo good it's scary. Honestly ya'll are missing out. read more

You don't need to drive out to Koreatown anymore! I stumbled upon Seoul Time while looking for Korean restaurants near Santa Clarita, where I work. At first, I was skeptical - Korean restaurants outside Koreatown often don't live up to the hype. But wow, was I wrong. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This spot is seriously underrated. As a Korean-American, I was genuinely impressed by how well this place captures the feel of a Korean convenience store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was able to cook ramen on the spot, and enjoy a meal with tteokbokki, Korean rice skewers, and Korean fried chicken. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It brought back real nostalgia, and honestly, I haven't seen anything quite like it, even in Koreatown.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's definitely a hidden gem--small, unassuming, but so freaking good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their soy garlic wings are like way better than BBQ chicken. I'm so glad I found out about this place, especially since it's right off the freeway and super close to my church. I only wish they were open on Sundays! read more

Really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki here. A healthy amount of chicken and vegetables that made the dish perfectly balanced. They also have the instant ramen/ramyun machines that my daughter keeps showing me from her social media feed. This place is close to my work, and will be a great addition to my lunch options line up. The staff here is super friendly. And they play fun K-Pop videos on the TV. read more

Absolutely beautiful inside and the view is incredible with their big windows. Very friendly and easy menu to follow. Chicken teriyaki bowl comes in a big round tub with delicious chicken, rice, veggies and the amount I got felt like I was blessed. The fried chicken has three different flavors to choose. Original, soy garlic, and a spicy and sweet flavor. The fried chicken wasn't spicy and it was very sweet. I do wish it was hot and steaming but it was a little chilled not room temperature or hot. The chicken teriyaki bowl is a solid 5 stars. The fried chicken is a 4.5 stars. Customer service 5 stars. Parking lot 3/5 stars on space and availability. I definitely will return again and highly recommend coming here. read more

This place is fire! Amazing wings (love the Soy Garlic). Not overly breaded and just the right amount of spice. Super polite and accommodating customer service. Clean, friendly and no drama. Some of the best wings I have ever had, hands down. Large sized, delicious and habit forming. If you are a pickle person, don't forget to try the pickled radish, so amazingly yummy! Called in my order and was ready in less than 15 minutes. I ordered the small tteokbokki and the 6 piece garlic soy chiken. The tteokbokki was spicy but doable especially with the pickled radish it cuts the heat but so yummy. The star was the soy garlic chicken, it was sweet and savory with the absolute best crunch. I've never had better tasting chicken. I will be making this a new weekly spot to visit. Already looking forward to trying the other items. Happy i made the choice to stop by and the customer service was great. The store is very on trend and i also like that they integrated the DIY ramen station. Very trendy and i will be trying this soon :) read more

Cute little spot in the plaza. Food was quick and owners were very friendly as you can tell this is a family owned business. Serving size was good and beef bowl was tasty. Wings were crispy and the quickest I've even gotten Korean fried chicken. 6 pieces - mixed soy garlic and K Pepper which was sweet and spicy- not very spicy though. Love love love this place. It is a gem to our neighborhood. I've tried everything except dine in ramen and I can say I love it. I am so happy they are here and hope they stay for a very very long time. 1000% get this place. Popcorn chicken or wings. Do a side of rice with kimchi and the white radish is my fav (more vingary than the yellow. The yellow is sweet so choose what you like) and the sauces! read more

We ordered a skewer (sotteok sotteok), 16 K-Fire spicy chicken wings, 6 soy garlic wings, and a spam rice bowl. The chicken wings were huge. K-Fire spicy was not spicy at all though, but overall, great food. I love supporting mom n pop shops. It is located near a school so just be aware of school release times. read more

Found this great lil spot close to home in the valley.I had the soy garlic and onion rings. The shrimp tempura, the coolest popcorn chicken and drink. First and foremost the soy garlic chicken wings were dripping with flavor. The rich flavor matched with plenty of meat on the wings as well. Not those skinny lil wings you get from those franchise places. Finger licking good good doesn't do them justice but it should be enough to get you here. The onion rings were light and filling. The flavor jumped out of everything and I look forward to returning to try more. The people taking your order are friendly and very informative. Questions welcomed with a smile. Oh and I must have looked like I was loving it. They gave me a sample of the k-sweet wing has me ordering it on my return. Sweet with a lil kick to flavor. read more

It's EXCELLENT!!!! Was waiting for them to open ever since the burrito factory closed down and the signs went up as the replacement. Did not disappoint! Got the soy and garlic wings and the bulgogi beef and rice bowl and both were great. Chicken was fried perfectly, sauce tasty and not too much and the bulgogi was perfect. Very grateful a new and good restaurant is here. I hope they stick around a long time. read more

We were excited to find out that this Korean restaurant was opening by our house! They are having a soft opening at the moment (3/2/2024). They had a soft opening special. We ordered the Soy Garlic fried chicken and Tteokbokki. The soy garlic was soo good! Freshly fried chicken with so much flavor. The Tteokbokki is good too just a bit spicy. I'd order them again! We got the large which was more than enough for our party of 6. It is made up of anchovy broth with shrimp, half of a crab, mussels, clams, zucchini, kabocha squash, & potato. The shining star of the show for me, however, is Hangari's Bossam that is made up of boiled pork belly served with crunchy bite-sized cabbage, pickles, and sweet and spicy radish. I think Hangari Kalguksu should change their name to Hangari Bossam... Hahaha!!! I'm just kidding, but yes, I think it is that good and so satisfying to make your own personalized Bossam bites (wrapping the meat in cabbage and adding toppings to it) that I like to eat along with the banchan they provide which includes Kimchi. If you drink alcohol, it pairs well with sips of Makgeolli and Korean beer. Not mixed together, but sipped separately and taking turns between bites. I feel it really enhances the flavors of the food. Eating all of this simple yet decadent food and throwing back the Makgeolli and beer in between bites kind of transported me to how I imagine the royalty feasted during the Joseon Dynasty! At the end, I was so happy, satisfied, and luxuriating in my fullness!!! I didn't want to get up and end this feeling of bliss. We never felt rushed, but I'm so glad we got there before the dinner rush because as we walked out of the restaurant, the line outside the door was getting very long. Make sure you get there before 5pm to have a better chance of getting seated right away and to avoid having to wait in such a long line. This is in fact a popular dining destination for good reason.

They handed out menus and took your order when you were close to the front. Once seated inside, they welcomed you with their signature banchan dishes: the nutty boribap (보리밥), which tastes great on its own but even better with their yeolmu kimchi (radish water kimchi). There's also their tasty radish kimchi and napa kimchi. Throughout the meal, they replenished our banchan multiple times without us asking. We tried two of the new items: Galbi Kalguksu: A delicious, deep-flavored bone broth with knife-cut noodles, shredded fried egg, sliced radish, and scallions. The meat fell off the bone, and I loved the broth, though my husband thought it was a little on the saltier side. Perilla Oil Makguksu: Cold buckwheat noodles in perilla oil. Mixed with sliced shiitake mushrooms, shredded perilla leaf, gim (seaweed), sesame seeds, and scallions. It's a deliciously light refreshing dish if you don't want the heavy knife-cut noodle dishes. Last, I ordered the Non-spicy Seafood Kalguksu. It comes with a anchovy broth with a lot of seafood flavors. It's a lighter broth than the galbi but still rich in flavor. It came with clams, mussels, shrimps and 1/2 crab. There was also sliced pumpkin and zucchini. Everything tasted great. Their servers were very attentive and generous with replenishing the side dishes, and overall it was a wonderful experience. If you see a line and don't mind waiting 15-30 minutes, it moves pretty quickly, so don't be deterred by it.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.

The freshness of the cucumber and herbs cutting through the rich sauce balanced it out. The pan fried pork buns however were rather forgettable. The meat was juicy but I was left wanting more flavour in both the meat and the buns. I also wish the bottoms were a bit crispier. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast menu and other items though. Because peeking at the other tables they offerings looked delicious.

I ordered the 6-piece fried chicken (both soy-flavored and original), and it was fantastic! The chicken was perfectly EXTRA crispy, and the sauces were absolutely on point. The soy flavor had just the right balance of sweetness and umami, while the original was deliciously crunchy and satisfying. But the real standout for me was the spicy pork, which happens to be my favorite dish.
