MUST-GETS: - Chicken kabob plate (5/5 stars): Huge chunks of deliciously flavored chicken kabobs. Comes with a very spicy green pepper, small side of salad, hummus and pita bread, and rice. - Half chicken plate (5/5 stars): SO JUICY!! They have one of the best rotisserie chicken -- much, much better than Costco's and the half chicken plate is only about $9. What a steal :) - Pork chops plate (4/5 stars): Just a tad fatty, but ooooo so juicy and flavorful. No weird smell either. I've also tried their shwarma beef, which is kind of tough to chew. Their lamb kabob plates are OK, a little bit on the dry side. Basically, get either chicken dishes or pork and you can't go wrong. Be sure to ask for their amazing GARLIC spread sauce, it's SOOO perfect to slather on EVERYTHING! Oh and I must mention the service. Absolutely some of the best service I've had experienced -- there was one time when I got the half chicken plate and the taste of the chicken seemed off and had a slightly strange smell. I called to inquire, and they gave me a fresh plate (since I only live 2 blocks away, this was an easy fix for me to drive back). They really care about their customers' satisfaction. There are some items that are really good and some that you should skip. The chicken kabobs are tender and juicy. The shwarma beef is meh. Kind of chewy and not juicy - more dry. The prices are very reasonable and can be a good value if you order the chicken items. Beef is hit or miss in my experience. read more

Maybe I just ordered the wrong item, but I was not happy with my order at all. First the Shawerma Plate looked nothing like the displayed pictures, the picture showed strips of meat, I received burnt chunks of cubed meat with primarily fat on it. I mostly just ate the One slice of pita bread and hummus. The few select bites I did have where not good at all, burnt, crispy and flavorless. I ordered delivery through Grubhub tonight and honestly I was very disappointed. I ordered the lamb plate and the lamb was way overcooked! It was hard to eat. I also ordered the chicken and beef plate. That was ok, the Lule was good. The tomato was rotten! Yes it was bad! The taste was so bad I couldn't get it out of my mouth! Also, When I got my order I noticed I didn't have my drinks. Which when you order it has a drink included in your order. Anyway, I called the Reataurant to see if maybe the driver forgot to bring it. The restaurant owner said that he forgot to send it. So I asked well am I getting credit then ? He said no, I forgot to send it and since they are free I won't refund it. Headed to the Atwater Village Theater and wanted to find a restaurant nearby for dinner before the play. I was in the mood for Mediterranean food so I googled restaurants in the area and this place was one of them. I love hole in the wall places as they tend to be some of the best food but this place wasn't 1 of them. Initial service was excellent as our order was taken by what seemed like the owner. I felt the wait was long for our food (20 min) being that there is no table service. They also seemed to be confusing the dine in orders with the take out orders as it appeared that they have a lot of take out customers. Ordered the #11 (chicken kabob plate) and the food looked delish but once I cut into the chicken it seemed rather tough and during the first bite it was a bit chewy as it was overcooked. It was also rather bland, including the hummus and the only flavorful part of the meal was the little portion of salad that they gave me. Perhaps the wait time is better and the food tastier when they are not overwhelmed with orders as they must be doing something right to have many take out orders. read more

My friend and I were craving Mediterranean food before we went to an escape room so I pulled up the handy dandy yelp app as we were driving towards the valley, and Sepan Chicken caught our eye. On the outside, you can't miss their location because of their big sign. It looks like an old fashioned pull up diner - which has seating indoor and outdoor. You order in front of a glass casing filled with bottled drinks, garlic sauce, babaganoush, and a few other things on display. There were four men behind the casing, and the one taking my order had a funny sense of humor and kept us smiling. They have a white board on the right side which had daily specials. They accept card and cash here for anyone who was curious. My friend ordered a half chicken combo while I got the veggie kebab combo. We took advantage of their check in- free drink offer and dined in. In less than ten minutes, our orders came out and it looked delicious. Their salad had the tangy dressing, and the tomatoes were sweet. I was a bit disappointed that my kebabs didn't look like the picture on their menu because it lacked veggies, but it's okay. It came with two zucchini slices, a grilled tomato, and a grilled jalapeño. The zucchini slices were really sour- like a pickled vinegar drenched flavor. It was really strong but I love zucchini so I ate it. The rice and hummus definitely made up for it. The hummus is seriously so good and creamy here. I think that was my favorite part of the meal besides the chicken on my kebab. My friend inhaled his plate and thoroughly enjoyed his half chicken which he stuck in his pita bread that was provided. He enjoyed the salad, hummus and rice and said that the rice had a good fluff to it. We also got to have a side of their garlic sauce- and although my friend and I are a fan, others might argue that there is too much garlic. Definitely good food with authentic flavor. Customer service was great. The man behind the counter was pleasant. I ordered the falafel sandwich and that was terrible. My falafel tasted old. No flavor. The outside was not crunchy it was burnt. It's difficult to bite into when the pita is a little tough as well. I've had better for sure. And it's certainly not worth $8 read more

Been going here since I was younger my mom would always get it. It's very good, never had any inconsistencies. Not sure if it's new management or something but the place is a lot friendlier. Food is great, a little pricy but it's worth it! No gloves on when cooking though, seems a little unsanitary but hey the food is great haha. read more

We were told that if you order over the phone, the plate comes with 5 pieces (use to be 10 pieces years ago) but if you order online, it comes with 4 pieces. Ok. Tomato was cold, jalapeño was cold. No garlic sauce available. The woman over the phone offered no resolution other than "I'll let management know". Being boarder line Glendale, you'd think this place would be on their A game. I entered the shop to purchase one particular dish, (just 1) that is comparable with another place nearby. When I entered I asked if they had it and I was stared at for about 5 and told "We're closed". I didn't know what time they closed so I said "Oh, okay. What time do you close?", thinking that I would try to come back the next day. This time I was walked away from and told very sharply with his back to me, "Sorry". Not knowing what there was for him to apologize for (but sensing the rude nature of his response) I simply asked again clarifying I wanted to try to return the next day but I wanted to know what time they close so I didn't miss them. Without looking at me again he simply said we're closed and began shuffling items behind the counter. Please understand this is not a case of someone not knowing the english language he spoke just fine. He simply seemed to not want to address me. I also want to add that they seem to have changed their hours from what I had last seen posted and they were indeed closed. By my count I think I walked in on the minute that they closed. I know that it can be annoying when a customer comes in at the last minute but I did not know that their hours had changed as it was not posted that way. In particular, being a person of color I also find this level of willful rudeness as remarkably uncalled for and insulting. I would very much like for the general public to know that Sepan Chicken has absolutely no problem with looking down on paying customers. A very poor showing for this small business. read more

Totally stumbled on this place out of laziness because I was already parked in their lot and saw it had four stars. It was amazing. Super flavorful and tender shish kabob, delicious hummus, and some of the best pickled turnips I've had in a very long while. The person who took our order was super friendly, too. I've driven and walked by this place many times by yesterday I finally decided to try it! Parking is alright... lots of other stores in this plaza. It's of seating inside and out. Prices are very good and on the cheaper side for this area! I love Mediterranean food and this place keeps it nice and simple! Menu is easy with pictures and the staff is a whole bunch of older dudes that are very nice! When I asked what's popular the worker said everything! I ended up going with the combo plate- a lule kabob, chicken kabob, rice bed, hummus, pita, white sauce stuff in separate container, veggies, and a green pepper that was hotter than hell!
