Melted top of the sauce container in the calamari
    Dave G.

We ordered take out including calamari, garlic pasta and fried chicken parm with with vodka sauce. The top of the container holding the sauce melted from the heat of the calamari. So we had melted plastic in our food! Ewww the column was just OK as it was kind of soft from the heat in the container I guess. My girlfriend's garlic pasta was only fair. As you paid nine dollars extra for shrimp, they added five small shrimp for nine dollars! The chicken Parm was the only decent part of the meal. The sauce was good, although the chicken was a little soft was hoping for more of a crispy texture considering it was fried. Overall, I don't think we would ever order from here again.

Great cozy Italian spot with delicious food and friendly attentive service. We reserved 4 pm before the dinner rush. Nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. We had the mushroom ravioli and lasagna and both were yummy. Starting with the arugula salad and ending with the portfolios. Good wine selection as well. A definite yes and see you soon! Ciao!

Walked in as a table for 3 after a day spent at the Met on NYE before the evening and NYE dinner rush. Luckily, we were able to be sat upstairs but were informed by the staff that we would have to relinquish our table in about 80-90 minutes. Our famished group was up to the task. Service was so-so. Took several times to ask for water refills and to clear plates from our crowded table throughout dinner and the check after dinner. Food came very quickly after ordering. The kitchen seemed prepared for the storm that was brewing for NYE dinner. Ordered a whole mess of food - crostini with burrata and caviar, lobster bisque, eggplant parmigiana, meatballs, caesar salad, foccacia, pappardelle ragu, pizza di vittorio. The eggplant was a small cast-iron serving dish without any side of pasta. The foccacia must be from a region that I'm not familiar with because it resembled more of a motzah than the images of fluffy pockets of olive oil and herbs that I'm used to. The show stopped was the crostini special with the burrata and caviar. Probably should have just ordered half a dozen of these for each of us as our meal. Pizza was well balanced and high quality ingredients. All that said, not sure you'll find me at a Serafina again. Food was just above average, but mediocre at best for the price point and service.

I'm hoping I've got the correct location. I was not paying attention when I checked in and posted my first picture. I checked in Sephora and posted my picture there. What a great place for a small family party. We were about twenty people, and we had a fixed menu. The night started with a few appetizers, meatballs, pizza, and a ceaser salad. But they also ordered a few other things, another salad with avocado and hearts of palm, French fries, and a white pizza. I loved the meatballs, but everything else was really good, too.. actually, the pizza was my least favorite thing, and it was good, too. For dinner, everything on the menu looked really good. I went with the filet with arugula salad. It was cooked perfectly, served with some kind of sauce that took it over the top. Everyone else at our table except for my daughter had the grilled salmon. They all said it was fantastic. My daughter had penne vodka. It was different from what she was used to having. She didn't care for it and ate half the salmon my wife had. I tried the penne and it was very good. Dessert time! It was tarimasu and chocolate cake. I could only have a bite of each. Was it good! It was a good night with really good service.

    Spaghetti & Meatball with Parmesan

So we came here so I could try something other than pizza (because thats all I have wanted since visiting New York) so we came to this place and they had really fancy outdoor dining. So they gave us a basket of bread and the bread is really good and has a great crunch to the bread. I ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs and this is by far the BEST I have had, EVER! It beats anything I have had in Michigan. The noodles were very thick and the sauce was very delicious, almost like a Lemon Orega o taste, a perfect sauce and the meat had a different taste, more of a real meaty taste but the spices on them made it taste perfect with its moisture quantity. I would totally eat this again.

We chose Serafina Always on the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel. It was easy to find. They have an adorable outdoor seating area. We sat inside near the gorgeous bar. The staff was very nice and attentive. The tables are very close together which is typical for the city. We ate the caesar salad and Paglia E Fieno both were delicious. The cocktails were well made.

Their bread is always stale. It's not fresh at all. Has happened the last three times we've been there or had it delivered!

Horrible service. Cups were dirty when we sat down and the pasta was undercooked. We will not be coming back, save your money!

The works was awesome, love the coleslaw and the sauce. The salad was simple but effective to be filling. The pastrami was yummy just a bit too fatty for me. After trying this sandwich I definitely want to come back for a club. The waffle was delish. Bacon tasted a bit old and wasn't as crunchy as it can be. Fruit cocktail was a nice refreshing touch to cut the heaviness. Our waitress was nice but I would've appreciated if she touched the table a tad bit more. We had to flag her down for a ginger ale refill. But otherwise she was a delight. Ambiance was alright! Just a reliable diner vibe. Nothing crazy, just right.

We had spent some time walking around looking for a place to eat, but everywhere else required reservations. Even though we didn't have one, he got us seated quickly and was so personal and welcoming. We were especially grateful because it was cold out and we were with my one-year-old daughter. We were also on a bit of a time crunch, and the entire staff did an amazing job getting us in and out fast without feeling rushed. As for the food--it was fantastic. We had the Southern Chicken Sandwich and the Nutella French Toast, which was some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this spot for the great service and even better food! Huge thank you to the staff!!!

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.

I almost felt an inconvenience to the server but we didn't have a fussy order nor was it busy (we ordered before the rush). Maybe she was preparing for the rush. Lol either way, it wouldn't stop me from returning.
